Kura Revolving Sushi - Review - Lynnwood - Seattle - The Infatuation

"There are a couple of these revolving sushi spots around the area, and now one has arrived in Lynnwood. Expect sushi rolling by on conveyor belts, tablets for quick ordering, and hard-working robot servers. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Food is good, service is friendly, and revolving sushi is always nostalgic to me having growing up near lots of them back home. I really like their salmon, unagi, beef, and sweet shrimp. I took 2 of my sisters there this time and they enjoyed their meal too. Ohh and the gooey butter cake, I don't know what I was expecting but it was better than I expected!!! I've been craving them, too bad I don't live closer to the restaurant. I find this location a lot better than the other location (though, that was awesome too) because it was easier to grab dishes from the dome. I struggled so bad at the other location, LOL. Also there wasn't any wait time for a table at lunch time, we were seated right away. And it wasn't because the restaurant was deserted, the service was just efficient. We definitely overate and ended up having around 32-33 plates between the 3 of us. (We usually don't eat that much, LOL)

Arrived around 2:15pm on a Friday. We were sat quickly. It didn't look terribly busy, but a lot of tables had people sitting at them. As you can see in my video, we were greeted by empty plates on the belt. It was about 20min before we saw any dish on the belt. We opted to start ordering food from the table tablet, because we were hungry and no food seemed to be available. Once our orders started to arrive, we were met with mediocre sushi at best. Kura is overpriced, unorganized, and a waste of time and money. There are plenty of other options for sushi in the area which offer actual food on the belt. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. I won't be returning.

Today was my first time in with a recommendation from a friend. I came by myself and had no idea how the operations of this restaurant work. I asked a couple employees and they were very willing to help me through the system. They seated me at a bar seating in front of the conveyor belt. And explain to me with the overhead screen that I could order drinks and menu items from and I could also just take the small plates off the conveyor belt in front of me. When you are finished with your sushi plates you slide them in the opening just in front of you. You are charged individually for each plate. The other dishes you might accumulate you just leave on your table and they come by to pick them up. If you need Wasabi or anything extra I just had to ask. The sushi was very fresh and clean and nicely presented and easily recognized from the markings on the dishes with the names. There was a huge selection to choose from. Even a couple sides and cheesecake for dessert. You have fresh ginger and soy at your seat. The guard over the conveyor belt is just at the right height so you don't have to look at everyone else and then not looking at you. Also Fu Robots that roam around the restaurant not quite sure their responsibilities but they were fun to watch. I also ordered Ramen which came on a separate larger conveyor belt above and out of the way of the sushi bar. Being in a strip mall parking lot there is an extreme amount of parking and is easily accessed across from the Alderwood mall. I will definitely be back with friends and family more often. The sushi was a good price. The ramen is in a very small bowl so don't expect it to be a meal, but it tastes great. Definitely seems like a place you can bring behaved children.

This Japanese restaurant just opened a few months ago, and it has a nice, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive, which made the dining experience pleasant. The food was decent, but enjoyable overall. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but they have a fun promotion where you can win prizes if you eat more than a certain number of plates, which adds a playful touch to the meal. Worth a try if you’re in the area and want something different!

Google
The food was delicious and really great price value. The atmosphere was pretty nice - busy but not noisy - you can have good conversations. There is not much service by design it is mostly self serve. There is a probably 8-10 mins wait for lunch.

Google
Pleasantly surprised by this chain and location. Lunch crowd was light, staff was pleasant and friendly. The sushi selection was pretty good and the standards were excellent. No complaints about the fish, rice or seaweed and the portions were fine. I’ll definitely come back.

Google
I’ve been here a few times with my family now and it’s our new spot. The robot comes to the table with your drinks with a cute song. It’s super cool to be able to order what you want at your table through the little tablet thing, and it comes directly to you a few mins later on the belt. If you need service, you just push a button and someone will come to your table. Everyone is friendly, and the food is delicious! The gooey butter cake is delicious!!!!

Google
First of all I would like to say the Kura in Osaka, Japan is the BEST !!!! While The Kura in Lynnwood is a disappointment 😞 The food is below average. For the food quality, Instead of charging $ 3.50 per plate they should lower it to $ 2.50. Atleast the Atmosphere is good, the robot is cool, the strawberry mochi is delicious but the sushi and mackerel is awful 😞

Yelp
We had a great time at Kura, I love that conveyor belt sushi is coming back again. You can either choose from the belt, but you also have the option to order sushi from the screen and it comes right to your table with a separate belt. Quality is nice for the price, most plates are 3.95 and depending on fish and rolls, you sometimes get more or less to match the 3.95 plate price. Parking is easy and plenty and you can make reservations on their app.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my two experiences here, and I plan to return with others to share the same unique experience I did. This is conveyer belt sushi with a twist. It is more high tech than your usual and there are machines that slide down the bar what you order off the menu. Took us a second to realize that so a server had to come over and ask us to move our miso out of the way because it was blocking other tables lol. Oops! The pricing is what I would expect. The raw fish is pretty good quality and there is a good selection of rolls as well. The ramen was very mid. The robot who brings you your water is just too cute. It reminds me of the Apple show Sunny. You have to try if you are in the area. Also it is busy during peak food times so keep that in mind!

Yelp
This place is well known in other states which I can happily say I enjoy going to! Sushi is pretty good for a quick bite but if you're expecting something upscale and fancy this probably wouldn't be your cup of tea. It's pretty busy all throughout the times I've gone in the evening but the service is quite fast. The tables could be a little cleaner (sticky sometimes) but nothing I can't handle. Sometimes it gets busy and service would be slower but the workers are always nice. The food is pretty good for what it is price wise! I come in knowing what I like so I always stick to the same things. Huge fan of their sushi dishes and will dabble in a couple apps like miso soup & takoyaki. Some plates do sit on the belt for awhile and get cold so I typically always order it via the tablet. The plate & price system is always fun to partake it too. Would totally return!

Yelp
Good concept, no real service. Lot of waiting time if you don't have reservation. The food arrive quickly. Lot of options. Price is 4$ for 1 pair. Not a lot of option for dessert. The game is not interesting at all you don't win anything special.
google avatar

Yelp
They have an outside waiting area with lots of seating and shade so if it's busy, you have a place to socialize. As you walk in, you can clearly tell they take care of the place. Very clean and very pretty. They have these little serving robots that bring you your drinks and wasabi. Very cool! The kids'll love it! The sushi conveyor is always fun and when you order items off the menu, there is another conveyor that brings your order right to your table. Aaaannddd...if you order a certain amount of plates, you'll get a little prize ball with charms in it. Food is excellent!

Yelp
I checked out this new sushi spot in the morning. It wasn't crowded, and there weren't too many options on the conveyor belt, so I didn't end up trying as much as I usually would. They have a robot that serves drinks, and you can also order through a screen--though it's placed a little high, so it wasn't the most convenient. The sushi itself was okay. The restaurant was clean, and the staff were friendly.

Yelp
A great experience -- no offense, better than Bittyfish sushi by the mall! Kura is new to the area and has gotten relatively popular! We came on a Wednesday evening and it was packed! They have a reservations feature so if you made a reservation online, the hostess will ask you at the front! If you didn't make a reservation, you can let them know it hasn't been done but you'll still have to wait for an open table. NOTE: They text you when your table is ready, but fair warning, the table may not be ready at the time they send you a text so you may have to wait a bit... All sushi and selections are $3.95 except the soup dishes and maybe noodles as well. Everything was fresh and they have cool items that you normally wouldn't find in conveyor belt sushi places. For example, they have 3 salmons aside from original: (garlic miso, miso ponzu etc). They have NY cheesecake and this gooey butter cake! We tried the gooey butter and it was delicious! (Must try). There was a mochi dessert but we didn't really care for that one. I ordered beef udon and it was sweet beef. Not bad but not great either, just ok. Really loved the sushi variety!! FAVES: Seared Salmon with Miso Cream Cheese and the Fried Scallops!!! PRIZES!!! If you eat 15 plates, you get a prize as well as 25 plates. They're cute Kura sushi acrylic key chains :)

Yelp
I seriously enjoyed this place. By far the best revolving sushi restaraunt I've ever tried.

Yelp
We wanted to eat at Kua Sushi for a while, and last Friday we finally got in. We got on the waitlist at the front door, and were seated within 20 mins, which was acceptable. We had 15 plates between my husband and I. I would say that's probably the number of plates to get full between a couple. We found the food quality was not bad. I liked most of them. I would recommend ordering from the computer in front of you instead of finding something on the conveyor belt. For the most part, our plates came pretty fast after we ordered them. There was only one item that took a while, but it came just in time. I would like to go back, and try their ramen and other side dishes as well. Upon researching, Kura Sushi is an international chain restaurant from Japan. I hope they keep their standards in Washington State, and maybe even up it a little. BTW, their wasabi was super good.

Yelp
I've been to the Kura in Bellevue a few times, so I was really excited when they opened a location in Lynnwood! We came around 3 PM on a Monday and were seated right away since it wasn't very busy. The facility was clean and spacious, and the staff was friendly. It was fun watching the serving robots and seeing ramen delivered on the conveyor belt. Most of the plates were $3.95, so it's best to choose items with more premium fish to get the most value. It was also noticeable that the sushi was machine-made rather than prepared by traditional sushi chefs--the fish was simply placed on top of the rice and tended to fall off easily. Overall, it's a good spot for a quick, satisfying meal. Parking was easy, as they have their own lot.

Yelp
I went by Kura for lunch Friday and had a really pleasant experience. Last week was considered their soft opening. The soft opening flyer I read had said they opened at 12 pm. So I got there at 11:45 and was going to wait in my car, but then I noticed ppl were going in and getting seated. So I got a table and was sat before 12 pm, and the place was already 1/2 full. I waited for a friend before ordering and eating. We both thought the sushi was fresh and tasty. It seems like most plates are $3.95 with some specialty stuff like noodles and dessert being more expensive. If you toss in enough plates into the slot, the machine up top goes off and you get a toy which I thought was entertaining. We ordered: - a bunch of nigiri, I liked all of them, from tuna to tamago and the scallop! - We got the bean fish dessert and that was really good, came out hot They have a lil robot that brings you your drinks and the wasabi. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. I already want to go back!

Yelp
Came here on a weekday afternoon and it was not too busy. I know that the space just opened and there has been a lot of people talking about it so I'm surprised that when I walked in, I was seated immediately. I think the sushi is decent for the price, their hand roll was okay as well. The fish was pretty fresh, you get what you pay for. The stand out dish for me was the beef udon, the soup was super flavorful, and a noodle was extremely chewy and soft. You can order unique dishes that are not on the conveyor belt on the tablet. Most dishes range from $3 to $5. The customer service was OK. I understand that it still new, while there was a decent amount of customers we waited over 10 minutes to get our wasabi and I didn't realize that we had to order water on the tablet. Would recommend for the experience as it is very high-tech for a restaurant .

Yelp
Definitely the best Kura I've ever been to, even outshining the ones in Japan. Perhaps because it's so new, the quality is fantastic. I don't willingly go to the one at Bellevue or in California (for all the reasons listed in the bad reviews here), but I'd come here daily. The uni was the cheap prepackaged kind, but everything else was delicious. It's beautiful in every way, from the spacious interior to the large outdoor waiting area. And for once, their delivery robot actually functions. Yeah, Kura is still unbelievably expensive (I've been coming since it's $2/dish days) but it is what it is for the convenience and experience.

Yelp
Great vibrant space with plenty of seating and very clean. The service was fantastic and the food was fresh. The fried chicken was delicious with and served with a lemon sauce. The sushi was delicious, fresh, and came out consistently. Great place for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
We arrived Wednesday @ 530pm. Only 5-10min wait - there's a tablet right outside the door to sign up for the waitlist. It texts you when it's your turn. It's located in the H-Mart complex which is the only con because the lot is already pretty full/busy with shoppers. There is a small waiting area outside with benches. Tastes just as great as the Bellevue location. The main basic plates are $3.95 each. 14 plates with tip for 2 ppl cost $75.
google avatar

Jonathan W.

Yelp
We've been to Bellevue, everything at the new Lynnwood Kura was a similar experience. You're given good service when you are sat and the rest of the process is highly automated. The sushi was good, nothing stood out for me as far as dishes went but I must say all the salmon variations were yummy. The ease of sitting down and getting to eat immediately is awesome. And you can custom order any dish instead of waiting, which comes very quick. My young kids went crazy for the drink server robot they want to go back just to see them in action.. lol
google avatar

Vicky V.

Yelp
Sushi we ate was good. A bit on the thin side and small. Each plate you take is $3.95 and builds up. It's fun to be seeing all those sushi plates going around. If you have a special order it comes on top of the revolving sushi, fast like a speeding train. Does not really need any service. All can be done on the monitor. It's fun, maybe I'll be back. We ate at a Kura in Tokyo, obviously fish is cut thicker and fresher,

Yelp
Great new spot in Lynnwood! We came during their soft opening and they were so nice to let us in before the scheduled 5pm opening time. They have modern Japanese interiors and they can entertain a good number of people at a time. Their staff are so friendly and attentive. They kept checking on us, refilling our glasses, and getting our empty plates. We noticed an issue with our plate count and they addressed that smoothly. The food is decent quality and they have a good selection of dishes. If someone in your party is not into raw fish, they also offer hot side dishes like ramen, tempura, and other fried food. We had the Crispy Chicken, Fried Shrimp Wonton, and the Tonkatsu Ramen for sides and they were all pretty good (except for the yuzu sauce that came with the chicken). I think the appeal of conveyor belt sushi is that you can try a lot of food in small portions and get them right away (instant gratification). Is it the best sushi I've had? Not quite. Did I still enjoy the experience? Yes, definitely. I also noticed a lot of the trays are already empty by the time they reached us but that's easily solvable by just ordering specific items using the tablet.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious and clean spot for reliable conveyor belt sushi! Glad they opened up north instead of heaving to drive East. Love the salmon options and robot servers.
google avatar

Renny K.

Yelp
We came when it opened. But i would say in general, it's really pricy for what you get. We spent around 80 bucks but all of us were still quite hungry afterwards. It's mainly for the experience - kids would definitely love this since after every 10 they get a prize.
google avatar

Tom B.

Yelp
In short The fish is solid, and the prices are borderline amazing. It must get crazy loud in here during peak times. In long Of course part of the appeal is all the gadgetry. They've turned conveyor-belt sushi into a technical marvel to some extent, and letting that entertain you is why some people are here. Many of those people are young kids, to be sure...some of those are pure chaos, by the way. Even before the dinner rush started yesterday, the yelling and spilling and carrying on got to be kind of a lot. You sit either at a booth or along a bar, with 2 belts running past you. You can grab stuff from the bottom belt or tap an order into the touchpad above your seat. What you order comes out REALLY fast on the top belt. We checked out a ton of nigiri, and the fish was all tender and flavorful, right on point. Some of the nicer fish comes out as 1pc so they can hit the $4-per-plate mark. Most are 2pc. The maki we had were solid, and you get about 3pc. I'd definitely order any of it again. We got one plate of crispy rice (w/spicy salmon), and the rice was so well done I wouldn't get it again, though I did finish it. The only other weak link was at dessert--we both got taiyaki ice cream, and the taiyaki was heavy and oily. One bite between the two of us was enough to call it on that. The ice cream was fine, though. We didn't have any alcohol, and the price out the door here was super reasonable. We got a toy but didn't keep it. The staff were super warm and friendly, even when they had to juggle a huge spill next to the host station and keep people moving in and out. It's a bright, clean setting with tons of windows. I don't think I could handle being here when it's packed unless the kids are all in bed, but we had a blast before it got busier, and we'll definitely come back.

Yelp
This place was so mich fun to dine at. The restaurant is clean and the staff attentive. The wait time for a table depends on the day and time. We went there over the weekend and though the line outside had 30 people waiting, we were seated in like 35 mins.. pretty good. The revolving food going besides your table was so fun along with the robot that brings your water and drinks. We tried a bunch of things and everything was fresh. I wouldn't recommend their ramen though, way too salty for my palette but the sushi was good.
google avatar

Barry C.

Yelp
for a conveyor belt sushi spot, this was better than I expected. Note this place gets packed and I would highly recommend making a reservation via the app. Price point, everything on the conveyor belt is $4/plate and was good for the quality you get. There is a touch screen at every table which allows you to order off the conveyor belt items such as ramen, udon, tempura, etc. Would recommend perusing the menu in addition to seeing what is out on the belt. I would definitely come back again.
google avatar

Lizzy S.

Yelp
We had a great time at the new Kura location! The wait was about 40 min for bar seating for two people. They take your number so we were able to go walk around HMart to pass the time. They also have a large covered waiting area outside, which is great. Inside things were clean and the sushi seemed pretty fresh. When we did interact with staff they were friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good experience!
google avatar

Jenny L.

Yelp
3.4 stars. I liked that it was clean and new. There wasn't much service, even ordering water and drinks was done from your table screen. Sushi on the belt was self-service, while additional sides and items ordered from the screen were delivered on the top conveyor belt. It's a fun experience for children. However, considering the portion sizes and price, it seemed expensive. Plates on the belt are all $3.95 each ($2.95/couple years ago), while other side items, ramen, udon, and desserts have different prices. For lunch, our total was $131 before tipping for 2 adults and 2kids, but the adults may not be fully satisfied. Kids enjoyed inserting plates to watch a video for every five plates. For every 15 plates, a toy ball comes out. Then, after another 10 plates, a second ball comes out. I think the second ball depends on the storyline of the video, as sometimes it takes an additional 10-15 plates for the second one to appear. The ramen and kitchen items do not count towards this. Our total usually range from $120-$180. Although it's nice to have a location up north, we may not be coming often as the price is a tad high for the quality and portion now smaller.
google avatar

Andy A.

Yelp
We really enjoyed this location. It was easy to get to and lots of parking. When we walked up we needed to add our name to the wait list and it was no more than 15 min on a Saturday at noon. You could either use the self service kiosk or the hostess stand inside. The staff were very friendly and showed us to our both. We were able to grab great quality sushi from the conveyor belt and order hot items from the touch screen. A robot brought us our drinks and when we were done, we checked out through the app. It was really easy and we didn't have a waiter. The quality of the sushi was great and they had all of our favorites. I loved the unagi hand roll and the kids loved the ramen and watermelon. We easily got to 25 plates at $3.50 each. Our total was over $100, drinks and ramen included. I think the beers were reasonably priced but the soda was also $3.50. One added cost was when we ordered from the menu it sent us two hand rolls when we only ordered one. And of course we ate it but that contributed to the total number of plates even though we didn't ask for two of them, and didn't know if we could send it back. This place is great for picky eaters also. They even had French fries. We will definitely be back soon with the kids.
google avatar

Jule G.

Yelp
Might be fun to bring kids for the experience, but the nigiri is poor pretty quality. The crunchy rolls were decent, but pretty pricy at $4 for 2 pieces of spider roll / 3 pieces of crunchy tuna roll. You can order from the menu and have the dish delivered straight to you and it arrives reasonably quickly. However, both of the tuna nigiri we ordered were outright frozen when we got them, which was unpleasant. Even after waiting 15 minutes they were still way too cold. If you actually care about your sushi, you're better off going across the street to Musashi and ordering their chirashi bowl. You'll get better and more sushi for around the same price you'd spend at Kura.
google avatar

Jon O.

Yelp
This brand new Kura in Lynnwood next to H-Mart has all the tech you'd expect from modern revolving sushi bars, but the food is just okay. There's a good variety of sushi going around the belt but we liked ordering from the touchscreen so it was fresh, and everything came out quickly. I agree with a lot of reviews that the portions are kinda tiny, with thin slices of fish and tiny rolls. Also, the flavor was hit and miss, like either too much sweet sauce to where you can't taste what you're eating, or so bland that you don't know what you're eating. Every table around us go water without asking, but we had to flag someone down for water and wasabi (no, the robot never came to us). All in all, if I'm in the area and craving cheap sushi then I'll go back. But I'm not making a special trip just to go there.
google avatar

Inna R.

Yelp
Came here based on a coworkers recommendation and right when we pulled up there was a line at the door before opening and I was thinking this place must be amazing. We did get seated pretty quickly. A robot does bring your drinks so that's pretty fun to see. All the plates are one price , $4 bucks and you can order off of a touch screen menu if you don't see it on the belt. The Tuna I got was still frozen , they didn't charge me which was nice. After 15 plates you get a keychain which is exciting. I didn't think the rolls were very good mostly filled with rice and I am not too picky with sushi as I enjoy rolls from Safeway and Fred Meyer.
google avatar

Yelp
I love going to Kura in Japan and was so excited to hear that they were opening one in Lynnwood! Also very close to where I live so that's a plus. They share the same parking lot as HMart and other shops and restaurants around so parking is not a problem. I would recommend going early to put your name down on the waitlist because the wait could be 45mins to an hour depending on the time of day. The nice thing is you could kill time at HMart until your seat is ready. The inside is newly renovated and has lots of tables/booths. You order through a pad and the sushi comes straight to your table. There's also a conveyor belt filled with sushi that you can just pick up. I love that Kura is interactive and fun because with every five plates, you have a chance of winning a mini prize from the gachapon machine. You basically slide five plates down the chute and the pad that you order sushi from will have a little animation showing if you won a prize or not. The sushi quality was pretty good and fresh. It was also a good proportion between fish and rice so I wasn't overly stuffed. Even though it was busy, the staff was still attentive.

Yelp
Finally, a solid revolving sushi spot in Lynnwood! We've been waiting for something like this to open up in the area, and this place delivers. First off--plenty of parking, which is a huge win compared to the chaos of the mall lot nearby. If you can swing a weekday lunch, that's the time to go. We came early and didn't have to wait long, but I wouldn't be surprised if lines get longer once word spreads. Inside, everything feels bright, clean, and new. Tons of seating along the belt, and they've got those drink-serving robots cruising around, which is always a fun touch (especially if you've got kids in tow). One of the best parts? You can trade in your empty plates for little prizes--definitely a clever (and strangely motivating) way to keep the sushi coming. The sushi itself? Fresh, well-portioned, and there's a great variety to choose from. The rice-to-fish ratio is on point--not too much filler, which I appreciate. All in all, this place is 100% worth checking out. Great for families, casual lunch dates, or just a quick sushi fix. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Finally, a worthy revolving sushi bar in Lynnwood and our neighborhood. They just opened (soft opening) and the quality of the sushi is fresh and tasty. We loved that the tamago is sliced thick. Our favorite were the unagi, toro, and Kura roll (so creamy). Please note that the robot brings the wasabi with your water. You need to order your water and drinks using the iPad. The restaurant was a good size with a nice waiting area outside. We also really liked how everything was a flat $3.95 per plate. It was easy to keep track. We'll be back! Wish there was more variety of sushi and rolls though!

Yelp
We came for the soft launch. It's spacious, bright, colorful, and very organized. Staff are super friendly and helpful with getting guests oriented with the system. Robot serve drinks and bring wasabi to you. You can also order a refill on your drinks via the touch screen. The dishes were fresh, and well prepared. Hot noodle dishes came with a lid and an extra bowl just in case you plan to share. I really liked that. I did wish it brought me togarashi when I ordered tonkatsu ramen. The edamame was "fridge cold". I was not accustomed to eating it cold, so that may be a me thing. We were pleasantly surprised at how tasty the beef dishes were. We will be back!

Yelp
love love LOVE the sushi! always such good quality and wide variety. Seating is pretty closed off so it's nice that everyone gets a booth. Service is great, but for the most part you get served form the little robot (super cute!)

Yelp
Been waiting for the Lynnwood location for the longest time! I'm so glad we have one in my area! Same great sushi as to be expected from a Kura Sushi location. I always enjoy coming here as I never get disappointed with their options. My favorite will always be anything with eel or salmon! Just happy that I no longer have to drive to Bellevue for awesome sushi!

Yelp
NOT WORTH IT I was a fan of Sushiland in the past during their best days before the inevitable decline and closure. I was visiting in Seattle and we thought we give Kura a try. The quality of the fish was decent but still a bit lackluster. The sushi had very thinly sliced fish, udon, ramen were both extremely poor, small, salty and expensive for what it was. Service - forget about it. The young servers were so enamoured with the self/robotic service that they were so eager to let you know that they are not going to do sh** to help you. "Use the screens!" Understood, I will stay home and order on my screen from Musashi.

Yelp
Love the experience plus the sushi isn't bad at all! Everyone is friendly and it was definitely a fun experience for the kids in our group! I also recommend the taiyaki with ice cream for dessert :)

Yelp
I have been a regular guest at the Bellevue location and always had a good experience. This was my second visit to the Lynnwood location and both were a bit disappointing. I don't know if there was a lack of training in a rush to open. Hand rolls were falling apart with everything at the top of the cone, twice I was given raw sesame balls. The first time it looked like it was taken out of the freezer and maybe microwaved for a few seconds or sat on the counter a while because it took long enough to have been cooked but was a small white shriveled lump. The second time it was fried to an off white color, it puffed to round and cold inside. Both times I got barely an apology. We had udon that was lukewarm along with the green tea. Waiting for a server just takes too long. I'm not sure why since the majority of food comes on the converter belt and initial beverages are served by robot. I also ordered the mixed tempura, in the picture there were 5-6 pieces of different veggies, what I got were 3 green beans, 3 pieces of possibly sweet potato, not worth the price, it wasn't edible as it was ultra greasy and ice cold inside to the point of being crispy. Yes, they removed it from the bill. I was very happy they opened a location in Lynnwood and I hope the team gets better trained before an unknowing guest eats a raw sesame ball or raw potatoes. And they are more aware of hot/cold holding temperatures for the food. I'll give them another try eventually to see if quality improves and will update my post.

Yelp
Overall a great addition to Lynnwood! I wish the preparation of the food was a little better. The seared nigiris were barely seared or not sure if it was even seared at all and our fried items were kinda soggy. I'm not expecting much from a conveyer belt restaurant but I just noticed that the Bellevue location does a better job at food prep. Customer service is excellent though. Very nice and very friendly staff! The space is big and can accommodate a lot of people. It does have wait times which is normal for Kura sushi, even in Japan we had to wait an hour to get in so this wasn't an issue for us.

Yelp
Great place that really took us back to Japan...as far as the design and layout go. The sushi was great and it should be pretty obvious that there would be a difference from the sushi in America compared to in Japan. One of the notable differences (asides from the rolls and how they are made) would be the ratio of sushi to rice. We seemed to get a good sized ball of rice as opposed to a smaller portion of rice to fish. The hand rolls need work. They were small in comparison to other places, and the roll was loose to where I had to fold the roll to try and keep things together. The meat Nigiri pieces were somewhat dry and cold. Most places where I had them were made right then and sent out so that the warm seared pieces had that melting feeling. These ones were quite chewy. The spicy tuna was okay. I'd say that it would be nice to know what sushi you are ordering is made of. I had to Google a few pieces and was left even more puzzled because the roll was just weird. I would not have eaten it if my wife didn't just grab it and decided...hey...you can finish the other piece. I gotta say though...those soy sauce dispensers are aggravating to the most! Who thought it would be great to have a dispenser you have to pump 500 times to get a bit of soysauce out? I ended up unscrew the cap and pouring it into my sauce dish. If you're going with a group, I'd keep it to 4. Unless you're okay sitting at the bar area side by side. Good thing with that is being able to order and being responsible for your orders. We sat with 3 side by side and the server was able to put our bill together into one. Once you get used to how the ordering works from the device mounted in front of your seat and above your head, the rest is mostly enjoyable. The wasabi will come with every drink order the robot brings to you. It was great to go to Kura again, but here in America. Not really sure if I'd go again since my other usual has been consistant, can accomodate more in groups, and has always been consistent. Our bill was a bit high compared to other places for 2 adults and 1 senior.

Yelp
We went back yesterday for a birthday dinner and it has improved! The fish to rice ratio is much better - definitely can see that the feedback was taken seriously and adjustments were made. The wasabi was more generous this time as well - three medium size dollops. Only thing that could have improved was that the table we were seated at was still dirty - crumbles/food particles on the table surface visible from a distance.

Yelp
Compared to some other revolving sushi places in the area, this one has very limited menu but the pricing is great if you want to try revolving sushi concept. Nothing much to mention in service because it's self service with the revolving sushi belt or the booth ordering system.

Yelp
Had a great time here. Thrilled, we don't have to drive to Bellevue anymore. We didn't have to wait very long, granted it was a Thursday night. The person who checked us in was wonderful. Food was as good at the Bellevue location, and the ambiance was perfect.

Yelp
Going to give it 2 stars just because I know there may be some marginal errors granted it hasn't been opened very long. The environment was clean and welcoming, staff are very kind, but simply not worth coming back. Also I know this is new and staff are probably overwhelmed with the demand, but it doesn't help that the first plate we pulled had a long thin hair in it :-( I've been to many different types of sushi places, and actually do enjoy a lot of conveyer belt style sushi, but unfortunately this just missed the mark for me. I really wanted to like it, and I understand that you're not going to get fresh, crispy fried tempura or high quality fish at a belt establishment, but there are many other places who offer a great quality at the same cost or less.

Yelp
Overall, it was just your typical conveyor belt sushi place. Had some cute bells and whistles for the kids but the food is just okay. One price for all plates except for the specialty items. Glad I got to experience the place but wouldn't seek it out.

Yelp
A very entertaining dining experience. I've tried the ramen and udon which were just ok. Rolls are a little better. My favorite would be the salmon nigiri with ginger dipped in soy sauce with wasabi. The tablet ordering, conveyor belt, and drink robot make it fun and easy. This is the only place my son does not take out his phone. Service was good. I enjoy drinking the baby Choya umeshu, eating the plum as my dessert then taking the shot glass home

Yelp
We've only been once, but it made an impression. The conveyor belt is fun, the sushi's fresh and full of flavor, and there's even a little robot that drops off drinks--HOW COOL IS THAT?! Staff is chill and welcoming. Prices are a bit high, but the love they put in makes it worth it. A little innuendo in the air doesn't hurt either. You've gotta try it at least once. We're definitely telling our friends.
