"Kura Revolving Sushi Bar opens its second Sacramento-area location on Friday, May 10. The Bee reports the 250 Gibson Drive, Suite 140 outpost will focus on a plethora of inexpensive plates of fish. That’s what made the business so popular: there are more than 500 locations throughout Japan, Taiwan, and the U.S." - Paolo Bicchieri

The texture of the sashimi has improved compared to my visit two years ago, but it still falls far short of a regular sushi restaurant. If this were an all-you-can-eat sushi place, this quality might be considered excellent, but it’s not. Additionally, the prices can’t be described as cheap. In the past, this place had a delicious and high-quality ramen menu that could rival any ramen shop. However, when I ordered the same dish today, the broth was overly salty, and the noodles felt hard.

A quirky café with a cool concept, but very odd execution. Maybe it’s the economic crisis affecting them, or perhaps this is just an unprofitable venture altogether. Even their signature rolls don’t match the pictures—they’re shown fully wrapped in salmon, but in reality, you can see for yourself what they serve. For anyone thinking I staged this or tampered with the dish, I took a photo straight from the conveyor belt as it passed by untouched. I’ve also attached another photo of it at our table. This feels like a total rip-off

It was so pretty!! It smelled amazing and the workers would check in!! Also the people were nice and respectful

I love the theme and the atmosphere. It kid friendly and you have both the options of ordering or just picking some from the rotation. They also have this cute little robot that brings your dinks. It kid friendly and the staff will inform you how it goes if you never been there before.

The sushi are made deliciously with high quality of wasabi. But wagyu sushi is very bad. It’s tougher than rubber band and doesn’t taste like wagyu at all. Udon noodles are below average too.

I have been going here since Kura opened. I love the concept. The service is pretty good but I am sadly disappointed with my experience this time. I haven't been round since last year but I was hoping for a quality meal especially since everything is expensive. I couldn't justify buying any drinks as it's nearly 4 dollars for a soda. This is the way restaurants get you now. My miso ramen came with a cold, old looking egg. The noodles were hard and congealed together. It was an unpleasant meal. Sad I had to pay a king's carriage for this meal when it was so lacking.

There isn't much revolving sushi restaurant in greater Sacramento area so we decided to go to Kura for the experience. We went on Sunday noon for lunch and we waited around 15-20 minutes until seated. Since it was our first time dining there, one of the servers taught us how to open the dome & take the plate. We were seated at the furthest booth near the wall and most of the time, the domes were empty by the time arrived at our table. So, we ordered most of the food via the screen. Luckily, the food came fast through the top belt. The cool thing was that a robot delivered our water cup. The sushi roll was rather small in size but they tasted good. The protein size was decent regarding the rice size. My kid ate 5 plates of shrimp tempura rolls because the size was small for even a kid. The soy wrapped spider roll was delicious! The size was big, the filling was plenty (it had imitation crab, cucumber pieces, lettuce), the rice portion was good, and the sauce was tasty too. For every 15 plates that you put into the slot, you'll get a toy (our was keychain). It was a good experience for the kid, but don't go there super hungry since the portion was rather small.

I had an amazing time when I went here with a friend. We were both seated by the kindest man who explained how the plate system worked very well! Also, there was a robot!! Overall, extremely cheap prices for some pretty good food. I do think drink prices could be lower, but I was still very happy! 10/10, would go again

Yelp
Ambiance: Kura is a chain revolving sushi restaurant that delivered quite an exciting experience. Service: it was mainly machine serviced which created a fun and unique experience. I wanted to add that the staff was there whenever you needed them. Food: We went for the One Piece exclusive collaboration. We were disappointed in that they served none of the food dishes. We still don't know why as the event was still going on when we went. However, the fish was very good and fresh. We ordered an abundance of fish and these listed stood out. Salmon Roe, Negitoro, Yellowtail, and Scallop were our favorites. They were fresh and had good portion sizes. One of the fishes I would avoid is the unagi. Normally we love unagi sushi but their sauce was over bearing. Another aspect we didn't love was the sushi rice which we found too sour. Finally I wanted to recommend the fried squid. It was so worth it and it came with some grilled peppers. This dish was amazing and a nice change of pace to the sushi we were eating. Note: Personally I loved the toy they gave at 15 plates it was fun. It was really a good experience and would love to go back. We wanted to emphasize the price was quite high at 3.75 per plate.

Yelp
I am actually torn between three and four stars. Four stars : Being able to put us on the waitlist via the app. Parking was OK. We made it in right before the rush so we were seated right away when the text came. I really enjoy the concept of the revolving sushi and the set ups where you can see how many plates , you've already had, etc. Three stars: We were seated in the back corner right in front of the kitchen, which wasn't a big deal with the noise. It was kind of fun to see the chefs. What did happen is that by the time the sushi boats got to us they were always empty . There was plenty of the every day sushi, but any of the specialty items were always already taken by the time the little boats got to us. I guess a way to remedy this would be to ask for a table closer to where the sushi comes out. And the things we wanted were not on the menu where you could order them straight to your table. Also, there were so many flies in the restaurant. That was freaking my husband out and I almost thought we had to leave before we even ate, but he stuck it out with me, but it was very annoying. My first attempt of getting a sushi plate out of the dome went foul and the sushi flew all over the place so that plate was a waste. With that said, it took us a while to figure out how to gracefully and safely open up the domes and get the sushi out before it rolled away from us again. I would recommend a server , come and just offer people a tutorial on how to do this correctly. All in all, this is a fun way to taste different types of sushi in a casual environment. The variety is nice, and all the sushi was tasty. We paid a little over $80 for two people and that included a water and a soda.

Yelp
Prime location in a shopping center. This place, although small for the amount of business they get, was delightful. Wait times are long, but the staff is very nice. Most of the service is provided with the tablet at the table or their robot that delivers drinks. Sushi was fresh, and hot food ordered through the tablet was hot. I like that they have a variety of options to choose from. I really enjoy Kura in general, but I'd definitely return to this location specifically. My recommendation is to get there before prime hours ( lunch and dinner) because the wait times can be insane. Also, it's harder to get specific items when it's very busy because they usually only have two plates per item on the rotating belt so it can be a while before you get the sushi you desire, so I recommend using the tablet as much as possible

Yelp
My favorite go-to spot for a quick solo date! It's more on the expensive side, but I typically come whenever I'm feeling some revolving sushi bar vibes.

Christina T.

Yelp
Service was friendly here, we waited about 15 minutes for a table which isn't too bad for a Friday night. The tables and conveyor belt were clean and the iPad was easy to order from if you want something specific. The fish was fresh but the nigiri had very thin slices. The sesame balls were very fresh and the red bean wasn't dried out. I recommend coming for the novelty and if you are enjoying a night out but do keep in mind the plates quickly add up!

Miranda N.

Yelp
We only ate a few plates and had enough of the flies landing on our food and ourselves, such an unpleasant experience.

Deniece B.

Yelp
The concept is really cool, but the food was just okay. My spicy tuna was not spicy. The crispy rice was hard and the food was kind of bland. We had to wait a while for the food on the conveyor belt to be replenished. Great service and it was kind of busy, but we were in an out in 30 mins. Most things were 3.50 per plate, but some specialty foods/desserts were 6.00 and more.

Yelp
Kura is a really fun dining experience for a date night or with family/friends. Located within the Howe Bout Arden shopping plaza, parking is super easy. Add your name to the tablet waitlist upon arrival. I visited with a few friends around 7 PM on a Thursday evening in January. We checked in with the host and there was a short wait. Despite others waiting indoors, we were asked to wait outside until our table was ready. It was a little chilly but we made do. Once seated, we ordered a few beers with the waitress and got the low down on how food ordering worked. It was a first visit for all three of us. We loved watching the ordered food items whiz by on the conveyor belt on their way to each designated table destination. We ordered the majority of our items on the table-side tablet vs. the ready-made options slowly moving by. It was great to see exactly what you would be getting with the see-through plastic food domes. The sushi quality was decent but not exceptional, as expected and reflected in the pricing. I was pleasantly surprised by some of the sashimi - nice portion for price. There are a ton of food options. If you are hungry, it's easy to over order and the $ adds up. For every 15th plate you order you get a fun prize that changes seasonally, neat. Make sure to order a water or other non-alcoholic beverage; it gets delivered by an adorable waiter robot - so fun!

Yelp
I've always enjoyed coming to Kura as an after movie treat but haven't came back for a couple of months. Today I went back and I've got to say that the quality of the place went down. We were immediately seated upon arrival but were sat at a table filled with flies so we asked to change to another table and that one was filled with flies too. I couldn't enjoy my food as I spent majority of my time swatting away flies from myself, my husband, and our food/drinks. The flies were also flying onto the sushi on the conveyor belts as well. I was so looking forward to eating at Kura again but I didn't expect to feel so eager to leave soon after. I ate as fast as I can and ordered less than I wanted because I couldn't trust the raw food with the flies. I really hope they address this issue soon because it was one of my favorite sushi spots.

Yelp
Great food. Great service. Great ambiance. I like to come here for my lunch break. Be careful if you're on a diet. The food is so good you'll just keep eating!

Ruth B.

Yelp
So you are not only paying for the food, but also yhe whole experience. And it is totally worth it! Birthday weekend continued with a movie and lunch. You are seated next to the revolving sushi options. You can also order drinks and other food off the digital menu. Drinks are delivered by the friendly robot. Special ordered food comes via conveyer belt. All the food was good. The tempura was so filling! Noodles piping hot. Fun sushi delection. And omg dessert was the best part. Takayaki filled with red bean was hot and crunchy. Ice cream was creamy and rich. So much fun! And servers were so nice, Definitely will be back.

Ayro P.

Yelp
Friday night wait time was about one hour when we checked in around 7pm. However, the portions of the nigiri/sushi here are hard to pass up. The staff was friendly and would kindly provide us time updates when we asked. Once we were sat, we were able to start grabbing plates that we wanted. I think it helps to sit on the right side of the restaurant since it looks like you get first pick. I've sat on the other side before and it would seem that dishes were empty by the time they got there. Anyways, the fish is of decent quality given how quickly we are able to start eating. The scallop, tuna, and shrimp tasted fresh and the rolls had a good amount of flavor. The garlic skipjack tuna stood out the most. I personally like the beef options since they aren't something I see a lot at other Japanese food establishments. The mayo and cream cheese they use in the salmon and eel respectively are nice additions if you need something to break up the fresh fish. They also don't dump a ton on the fish and it's easy to scrape off if you think it's too much. We only ordered a couple things through the digital menu, but even those came down the conveyor belt within minutes. We ordered some nigiri sake, which I thought was overpriced for the size. Also, when we asked for water we ended up getting Sprite mixed in with our cups somehow. I've been here several times before, and the one thing that I wish they would work on is the consistency of the table service. I get it's not the focus given how obtaining food is structured here, but it definitely can leave a lasting impression among guests that are used to having great service at other restaurants. No dessert, and the toys you get for eating a lot are a nice touch but we just ended up giving them away to a family with kids. Will definitely come back next time I'm shopping at Arden, and I hope the wait isn't too long.

Keith R.

Yelp
WOW FACTOR? Yes. I loved the robots bringing drinks and the conveyer belts delivering sushi. Much fun. HAVE AGAIN: Most of the sushi was very good. Had lots of unagi. NOT HAVE AGAIN: There was one eel sushi with a dab of mayo - not very good.

Magda G.

Yelp
Located in a busy strip mall near the theater. I recommend downloading the app so you can get on the waitlist. It saves you 30 minutes or so. We were sat at the end of the conveyor which was a bummer because most plates were empty. We did catch on quick and began ordering on the tablet. You place each sushi order and quantity. Each plate comes with about 2-3 sushi. We placed about 6 plates and it stopped me from ordering more until we got our dishes. The tablet order comes down the top conveyor with a ding sound to let you know it has arrived. The drinks came from a robot server. We ordered a little bit of everything. The sushi was ok. They didn't have siracha which was a bummer. The table got pretty cluttered as they didn't really clean it off from the bowls and plates of the bigger items we ordered (don't fit or go in the plate slot). Once you finish off a plate, you deposit it in a slot at the end of the table. They count each plate to get your total. After 5 plates, a little animation would pop Up on the tablet which was cute. Once we deposited 15 plates, we got a ball roll down with a prize. It was a cute lanyard. The people were nice but they could have been helpful with clearing off plates often. It's a cool experience to try.

Yelp
First time for my wife and I at a revolving sushi restaurant. 4th for our daughter. We thought the food was average and a bit pricey. 2 pieces of nigiri for 3.55 and 3 thin slices of tuna sashimi for about 4.50. Other rolls were reasonably priced. Like 4 pieces of cal rolls for 3.55. Between the three of us, our bill came out to 120. For me, it was just the experience I share with my family. They have online or app reservations available. We did a walk-in and people who did the app or online reservation were being seated ahead of us.

Ben T.

Yelp
This place was alright. It was a fun atmosphere, and almost a game, wondering what was going to show up next on the belt. Side note: you could also order any of the things on the belt (plus some things that weren't on the belt) through the screen. The sushi wasn't the most amazing sushi I've had, and that sentiment carries with the other dishes like gyoza, takoyaki, and more. Any of the things that were fried were overfried and greasy. The sesame balls had barely any red bean in those bad boys, it was essentially fried rice flour only. I wish I could be more positive, since it's a fun concept with fun animations on the screen for prizes. It was nice that you could order drinks through the screen without hailing a waiter and essentially get your water refills unlimited and quick. The robot was cute and nicer than other ones I've seen at other places. The music gets real boring real fast though, since it's the same tune each time. With it passing by dozens of time, the tune was stuck in my head after leaving haha. The robot was also messy, with drinks splattering. Also, gets pricy quick. You get more bargain for your buck elsewhere, but it was definitely fun.

Diane D.

Yelp
Amazing place to quickly get sushi! Sat down right away, ate, self paid on the kiosk, and left within 30 minutes! The seats was very cute and bright. Lots of privacy from one table to the other! Although sushi is revolving, you can order the ones you want on the kiosk and it slides right to your table so you don't have to wait for it to come around. Also it's fresher that way (I believe)

Anthony B.

Yelp
It was my first time here and I really enjoyed it! The experience was really cool and I liked the way the inside of the restaurant was set up! The food was all good and came super quick to the table every time. I'm not a huge sushi fan....i know why even go but no there's a lot of other things to eat and I don't mind eating a California roll every now and then lol will be back again very soon!

Kojack L.

Yelp
TERRIBLE.. This place has really gone down hill. When they first opened it was nice! But now, no way.. The rolls have significantly gone up in price but the size of them is smaller, the place has an extreme amount of flies that harass you while you eat, the rolls are made super sloppy and fall apart before they even reach your mouth, they send stuff to your table that you didn't even order sometimes, the lids on the sushi plates don't lift when you try to pick a plate up from the conveyor belt... It's just baaaaaad.. me and my partner will not be coming back.

Tea L.

Yelp
LOVE the concept, but most of the food was just ok. Initially, it took quite awhile for the food to come around the conveyor belt. Once it did start coming, most of it didn't look that appetizing so we ordered off of the menu. We liked the crispy chicken, the strawberry mochi, and the sesame balls were pretty good but the chicken potstickers, fried scallops, beef rice dish, and the few rolls we did try were just ok. The Miso soup, I didn't like at all. Tasted a bit too fishy. Could just me, but I'm not used to my miso tasting that way. Overall, the service was good, everyone was friendly, the robot was really cool, again, I love the concept but overall, the food was far from impressive.

Melissa G.

Yelp
This has been the only revolving sushi bar I have been to so I do enjoy the concept but the sushi is pretty average. I do still enjoy myself here and think the set up is good since everything is easy to understand and accessible as well as independent! The staff is very nice and It is a small location so there aren't tons of options but if you're looking to get a quick bite I would recommend coming here!

Vivian H.

Yelp
Definitely a fun concept to eat sushi! I've never had the Sacramento location so I wanted to give this spot a shot. The dishes add up quickly, especially when you're fascinated by the variety that moves on the conveyer belt. They're around $3.50 but may raise in price if you order other dishes. If you aren't seeing anything that's appetizing on the conveyer belt, there's a mobile screen to place orders which will speedily show up on the top conveyer belt. The rolls/nigiri themselves were average. This reminds me of the sushi you'd find in an AYCE buffet. It isn't the best quality, but you're paying for the fun concept! The dessert is delicious and the perfect way to end the meal. We came here to fill out a curiosity despite already having dinner. I would definitely come back to try out the other selections when I have a bigger appetite!

Jennifer B.

Yelp
It was a cute little restaurant and cool to see the robot serving drinks and the revolving sushi coming to your table. If you order something off their touch screen menu, your order comes straight to your table on the conveyor belt. Cool again lol. They charge by the plate which isn't too bad. It's the sushi itself that isn't great. Just tasted old and not very fresh or even sushi grade. Rice was also very hard for sushi rice. Service was fine. The food not very good. Probably won't be back but cool little experience.

Drea U.

Yelp
Love this place. The revolving plates make it easy to get what you want without waiting. The prices are pretty decent and it's more fun when you go with multiple people! Sometimes the wait time can be long but I always check in with the app before going. The staff was friendly and always checked up on us. The rolls and nigiri were great quality & there were so many options. I love the little robots that bring you your orders! The vibe inside was a fusion of Asian and modern. It was very clean and well organized. I'll definitely be coming back!

Nina L.

Yelp
My first experience here was OK. They're very busy at dinner time. It's fun to be able to order everything through a monitor at the table. There's even a robot that brings the drinks. There's also food that comes around like a sushi boat conveyer belt that you can just grab. Seeing food that's been ordered come directly to the table on the conveyer is the coolest thing. The food itself, though, meh. Nothing extraordinary. For 3 people we racked up a bill of 160$. To me the quality and quantity were not there at all. Service also lacking. No one ever checks on you so if you need something, you'll have to flag someone down.

Geena B.

Yelp
I personally love Kura. I haven't had a poor experience yet. It's tasty sushi with the fun revolving plates. The hand-rolls and the seared scallop nigiri have been my favorite. I typically don't get many of the additional appetizers or fried bowls. As far as service goes, it really depends on location. I've had servers who were very attentive and refill drinks often but I've also had visits where we have to hit the service button to get refills. This visit was one of the latter. Nothing wrong with this type of service at all! Just noting for folks who are looking for a specific type of service.

Abbey C.

Yelp
Love this place so much one of my fav spots in the area! The only reason I give it 4 out of 5 stars is because it's always super packed and you can expect to wait or download their app and get in line early. It's just not everyone's cup of tea. I love it though, the food is so yummy I love sushi and they have a lot of options and their dessert is super good too! It's always pretty busy inside like I said but you have your private booth which makes the whole thing more intimate.

Xia Wen G.

Yelp
I don't know why I haven't reviewed Kura in the past but I love coming here! I know it's not the best sushi in the world but I love the sushi here! It's probably my most frequented sushi spot just because of how convenient it is. You can sit at a table or the counter! Once you're seated, a little robot usually brings you drinks after you've ordered off the tablet. I'll come with my boyfriend, best friend, or just by myself for a quick bite! My favorites are the seared scallop with mayo, eel, salmon toro, blue fin toro, sweet shrimp, and the kura roll!

Leeta C.

Yelp
Not a good sushi place at all. There is nothing on the menu that is worth stopping in to get. The staff is nice and I even sent something back because it didn't "look right," She took it back. Not coming back.

Margarita R.

Yelp
Several years ago a friend introduced us to this fun place - sushi delivered on a revolving conveyor belt. There is a screen you can order food as well. What makes it fun, aside from the presentation, is that for every 15 plates you order, you get a ball "prize" containing what ever promotion they have at the time. I was hooked. Tip: Make sure you get on the waitlist, accessible on the kura app. It will save you some time, as you wait to be seated. Saturday lunch was packed as usual, so we were glad to have been on the waitlist before getting there. Between picking up sushi from the conveyor belt and also ordering things on the menu from the screen, food came out quickly. We must have been hungry because as soon as those plates came out, we were emptying them. Watching the screen celebrate a "milestone" for every 5 plates we finished was fun and made for great ambiance. Sushi was fresh, dessert was great. We left feeling very full.

Michael L.

Yelp
Sushi wasn't bad, the robot guy and the revolving bar are a fun idea, sometimes hard to get the plate out of the revolving belt in time though. I had a fun time and would go back.

Anthony A.

Yelp
Overall a fun place to go for date night, though I would try and make reservations if possible as they're usually packed and wait times can vary from 20 minutes to a hour. They have a wide assortment of appetizers, sushi, and ramen. All of the sushi comes around on the conveyor belt, but sometimes the items you want are already gone by the time it comes around so I would suggest using the tablet ahead of you to order exactly what you want. I wish I could tell you the cost of the plates but the prices have been increasing every time we've gone. Most of their tables only seat parties of four. After depositing about ten plates into the used plates section, you will be awarded a small gift like a keychain or magnet from the container above you. One more cool thing they have is a robot that brings you your drinks. If you're going alone or your date doesn't mind not sitting across from you, you can sit down faster at the individual tables. Side note I would bring a jacket if you get cold easy as sometimes the restaurant can be freezing inside. The quality of the sushi is average and the cost per plate has become overpriced. However it's a fun date night experience and that's mostly what you're paying for.

KeOni L.

Yelp
Food: 4 Mics Service: 4 Mics Ambience: 4.5 Mics We have been here 4 times since it has opened. We love coming here. It can be a quick trip or it can be a longer meal. It all depends how hungry you are. The food is pretty good. The sushi pretty good considering the conveyor belt service of sushi that is put out. Fish is pretty decent. Choices are unlimited. If it is not on the conveyor belt, you can order it to your table. Service: friendly service and quick. Ambience is pretty busy, it's pretty amazing to have sushi within reach. Stop in if you love sushi. You'll love the experience.

Eddy N.

Yelp
I wasn't expecting much but this time round was kinda disappointing. What I don't understand it's not all you can eat, why, why stacked up on the rice???? Anyhow, what got me was the scallops. I rest my case. Will I come back, probably cause it's cheap....lol.

Savannah R.

Yelp
I visited Kura Revolving Sushi Bar on Saturday, 5/6/23, for an early dinner. What I liked most about this restaurant was the conveyer belt going all around. I was able to simply lift up the lid of each plate and select which sushi I wanted. It was also convenient to have a tablet at the table and order any extra items, like drinks, appetizers, sushi that wasn't available on the belt, etc. I tried a variety of sushi such as: -Philadelphia Roll -Real Crab California Roll -Snow Crab Nigiri -Premium American Beef Nigiri -Seared Salmon with Japanese Mayo Nigiri -Seared Eel with Miso Cream Cheese Nigiri -Real Crab California Hand Roll with Seaweed -Real Crab California Hand Roll with Soy Paper -Spicy Salmon Hand Roll with Soy Paper All of the sushi was delectable and the quality of it was super fresh. My top favorites were the Snow Crab Nigiri, Seared Eel with Miso Cream Cheese, and the Real Crab California Roll. The price for each plate was $3.50. I decided to get a total of 15 plates, which completely filled me up. I also got a cute keychain as a mini-prize towards the end. The total cost of the bill was almost $60, which was a little on the pricier side. However, I feel that it was worth it due to the amazing food quality, great ambiance, and friendly service. I look forward to going back to Kura Revolving Sushi Bar in the future.

Yelp
Such a let down! Cool place with automated ordering, robot, conveyor belt sushi...was poorly presented, dull colors, low quality fish, rice fell apart in nigiri before you could eat it. No fat lines in the salmon, bright orange salmon. They have a great social media presence, but do not waste your money here. Sorry Kura. We even tried ordering everything direct, same low quality, very disappointing, cool concept.

Yelp
It's the fun kuru sushi expression of the atmosphere you experience..the sushi food on the chain is decent. The service is good. But really some time their waiter can shy away from helping you. The ramen is pretty good. If you want sushi or ramen and just to dine in really fast, like fast food, it's here! Without talking to anybody there besides getting seat it and if you need something else that is not on the menu.

Yelp
Our son and daughter in law took us here for our anniversary. It was amazing. It felt like we were in Japan. The restaurant is clean and neat. (With the exception of the bathroom which was filthy). Next to the tables are conveyor belts which have plated sushi which whizzes by...you just pick the items you want and you pay by the plate. There are also items you can order through the computer monitors at each table. At 3.50 a plate the sushi is really great. We had several plates of sushi and also ordered some hand rolls Which were fresh and amazing. It was like having dinner and a show. Will definitely want to come here again to try some of their other food options. Only gave three stars due to the condition of the bathroom. Ugh.

Yelp
Came in around 7 and there was a long waitlist. You check in with their iPad and you'll get updates on your phone on what spot you are. It was approximately an hour and a half wait but we were actually called within 30 minutes. The concept of the conveyor belt is pretty cool. You can also order on their touch screen devices if you want something not on their belt and it'll slide down to your table. We also ordered some drinks in which a robot delivers to you. They count each plate after you've put it in the slot. Each plate contains about 2-3 sushis and is $3.50 each. I'm going to say the sushi like other reviewers have said is like store bought sushi with a lot of sauce to make it look fancy. At the end of our dinner, I felt like it wasn't worth it. I kept getting food hoping I'd feel satisfied, but I actually lost my appetite. I think it's more worth your money to go to Raku or Azukar for unlimited amount of sushi. Plus, the amount of what we spent on our bill would cost the same as those two places. I'm glad I tried it but I wouldn't come back.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love coming here and have been coming here very often since we first moved here. I enjoy how the service is very friendly and helpful whenever we need something. I do wish they have utensils at the table for easy access for the desserts. Despite that, the place is great!

Yelp
Last night was great! Very fun experience! I will always recommend friends, family to enjoy the sushi belt.

Yelp
UNIIII FOR DAYS. I couldn't help but stock up on 3-4 unis. They were so buttery and delicious, would totally recommend. I enjoyed the eel, tuna, and salmon nigiri here! There were even dessert options I have yet to try! Although the food was great, this was my first time and my waitress just pointed me to my seat with me not knowing what I should do or how this operates. I sat for a couple mins thinking she would come out with water and any questions, but nothing. Eventually, I stood up and told her it was my first time so she explained everything in detail. Loved the atmosphere. There was a bunch of people also here by themselves and came here for a quick 30 min meal and dipped! If you know what you want to choose, everything is pretty quick!

Yelp
The gimmick of the conveyor belt is annoying as hell. If you are on the outside of the booth you cannot help yourself. Nor can you order off the tablet, which also serves as the menu, because it is mounted to the wall and cannot be put on the table and passed around for everyone to look at and order from. If you are on the inside of the booth you have to read the menu to, and order for, the people on the outside. Then, if you are on the inside you have to constantly interrupt your own meal to grab things off of the conveyor for everyone else. A waiter, would have made the experience much better. The way it is is super annoying, worst lunch I have had in years. I will never, ever, eat here again, and will not recommend it. Go someplace with a wait staff if yiu want to enjoy your meal.

Yelp
First time at this location and as usually there is always a wait at all locations! I highly recommend getting on the waitlist through Kura's app! I saw there was a few limited time items and I just had to try it when two of the items were an octopus item. I'm used to the cooked octopus and didn't realize we the limited time items were raw so they were slimes and too soft to my liking. My ultimate favorite nigiri was the conch nigiri! It was nicely sliced and crunchy. Not fishy at all! Highly recommend this if you're not a huge fish fan. This may change your mind! Hehe Another item I normally get is their spicy tuna roll, but it was very disappointing at this location. It kind of tasted like canned tuna mixed with the spicy Mayo sauce. It didn't taste like the spicy tuna that I normally get. Maybe they changed the recipe??? Overall, I love Kura and they currently have DC items for when you consume 15 plates of sushi. My husband and I ended up consuming 20 plates total! We were so full, but extremely satisfied. Our sushi cravings were definitely satisfied at Kura every single time! I will definitely come again, hoping one day they will offer the cooked octopus nigiri!

Yelp
Kura may not be the highest quality or most delicious Japanese food, but it's a uniquely fun experience with conveyor belts, robots, self service ordering using tablets, and affordable menu prices ($3.30 per sushi plate as of 11/6/22). I have been twice. My favorite nigiri from both visits has been the UMAMI OIL SALMON. The umami oil makes it tasty. Sushi fish is thinly sliced. For my 2nd visit, my main goal was to try the Taiyaki Ice Cream dessert. A nice treat with the warm red bean paste stuffed waffle fish, vanilla ice cream, and side of sweet red bean paste presented in a cute box. Waffle fish had a slight oily taste. I ordered the Taiyaki Ice Cream using the tablet. When it arrived, it was shot across the top conveyor belt and landed right in front of me at my seat. The chewy Warabimochi always catches my eye, but it doesn't have much or any flavor. I'd say only get it if you know and appreciate what it is or if you are curious. Warabi Mochi is a chilled jelly-like mochi covered with sweet, nutty powder. I thought the Tonkatsu Ramen hit the spot if you want soup or a more filling meal than sushi, but don't compare it against a real ramen restaurant. I enjoyed ordering free water using the tablet and having the yellow robot deliver it to me. It took awhile to get the water though. You just use the tablet and your phone to check out as well. Make sure to sign in to get on the wait list upon arrival. Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is conveniently located across the street from Arden Fair mall in the plaza with Burlington Coat Factory and the Century Arden movie theater.

Yelp
This place is definitely more about the experience rather than quality of sushi. It was fun to go for our first time with our 13 yr old daughter. Putting the plates in the thing and getting prizes, makes it exciting for kids. Being able to order certain things that fly down the conveyer belt to your table is really neat but the sushi itself was a little underwhelming. Nothing fancy like other sit down sushi restaurants but understand that this is the vibe. It can still be pretty pricey and you aren't receiving the best rolls so that's a down side. Still a cool spot if you have never tried it.

Yelp
It's got a nice ambiance. You sit down and the wait staff give you the run down on how things work. Each of the plates are $3.55 on the conveyor belt but you can order additional items (prices are on the tablet) to be delivered to you on a secondary belt. A cute little robot delivers your drinks. The sushi was delicious. The beef nigiri was different but well executed. I would definitely come back here.

Yelp
This is my all time favorite sushi spot! It's such a fun experience that I hope everyone gets to try the only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star is because I've had much fresher and tastier sushi but it's the experience and ambience that keeps me coming back. It's conveyor belt so you can try multiple sushi plates for cheap. You can either grab from the revolving belt or order it fresh (on the iPad) to be sent on the belt straight to your table. Also for water, a little robot guy brings it to you! The service is always amazing! I recommend making reservations on weekends because they do get crazy busy and you'll have a 2 hour wait time. Also if you're competitive like me, there's a fun game you can play: if your table eats more than 15 plates you can a special lil prize that falls out of the dispenser at your table. Again such a fun experience! My favorite item (believe it or not) is the garlic fried rice!! For something so simple and with no meat, it's SOO FLAVORFUL AND YUMMY! Must try I will say the crispy rice rolls were my least favorite.

Yelp
I recently returned here, I first came in 2020 during COVID shut-down with a fellow YES! This time around, I came on a master-date (where I take myself out on a date) to get the full experience. When you enter you place your name, the number of your party and phone number on a wait list. A server provides notification that there is a table ready and directs you to the table. Here they give you a rundown of how they work. There is a screen located at the table where you can order specifics. Each plate costs $3.55 with some supreme add on's that cost a bit more. From the screen I ordered myself iced tea which was then delivered by a musical robot. With use of a conveyer belt your special made to order items are delivered right to your table. An additional conveyer belt travels around with 1/2 rolls of sushi for you to take as you desire. The table houses a slot in which you place your empty plates, keeping count of your plates consumed adding to your tab as you go. My bill for just me and all the tastiness was really affordable and I will certainly return. Evan was great at explaining the concept of things. There were quite a bit of rolls not on the conveyer belt while I was there- so I remove a star for quantity. Will certainly return.
