Yelp
It was our first time visiting Kuro and we are already planning our next visit. My husband and I visited with his family who have been many times and raved about certain items on the menu.
We started with cocktails, which are categorized into 5 categories in the cocktail menu: Sweet, Sour, Umami, Salty, and Bitter. I opted for the ORENJI, which is peach & orange blossom vodka, lemon, st. Germain, grapefruit under the sweet category. As someone who loves a sweet cocktail, it was perfect. Not too strong, and grapefruit forward without being bitter.
Since my husbands' family were taking us out on this particular evening, they led the way with ordering. We ended up getting the following (buckle up):
Chicken Momo, Wagyu lollipops, fingerling potatoes, pork belly, and beef negima, from the Robata Charcoal Grill, shrimp tempura rolls, crispy white fish tempura, chicken karaage, crispy brussels sprouts, and wagyu tacos.
It seems like a lot, but many things come out in pairs of two and portions are relatively small for a group of four. Everything was delicious. We left feeling satiated but not full.
My husband and I want to go back and get the short rib and try the chocolate hazelnut bar. We also have to go back and photograph our food. Since we were with other people I kept my phone in my bag and I wish I had secretly snapped some pics for Yelp!
