Kuro Bagels - Review - Notting Hill - London - The Infatuation

"Kuro has a monopoly on this corner of Notting Hill, and we’re here for it. As well as a charming bakery around the corner and an excellent coffee shop a few doors down, Kuro makes great bagels too. On sunny weekends, small queues start outside the door, and inside everyone and their miniature cockapoo is a 10. Get in line behind the Adanola tote-wearing crew and order the smoked salmon on an everything bagel with wasabi cream cheese. The spice from the cream cheese creeps up on you, and the bagel itself is crisp-edged and chewy. The tuna salad is also a great order. Our ideal morning goes something like this: a smoked salmon bagel, eaten speedily on the bench inside, followed by a pastry from Kuro Bakery, that we’d eat while sitting on Kuro Coffee’s outside bench with a flat white in hand. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute Food Rundown Smoked Salmon This smoked salmon bagel comes with all the bells and whistles: red onion, capers, dill, and a squeeze of lemon. The wasabi cream cheese is subtly spicy and really elevates it. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Tuna Salad We love this creamy tuna salad filling, we just wish there was more of it. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch" - Rianne Shlebak

The 19 Best Bakeries In London

"For: Croissant bread and butter pudding Whenever we’re around Notting Hill, the croissant bread and butter pudding from this tiny takeaway bakery rings in our mind like a siren. A slice of the dense, doughy loaf is the kind of sweet brick that could easily be shared—but why share when you can save half for later? That should be your game plan at Kuro Bakery. Stand in the inevitable queue and pray that no one takes the last slice before it’s your turn to order." - rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, daisy meager

Where To Get A Park Picnic That Isn't Crisps & Hummus

"The Picnic Pick: Croissant bread and butter pudding ⏱️ 8-minute walk to the Holland Walk entrance of Holland Park  We won’t label this must-order slab of sweetness as a snack or ‘that thing you refuse to share with someone you share a mortgage with’. No, it’s bigger than that. This dense, doughy creation is a peace treaty between pudding lovers and pastry enthusiasts everywhere, best enjoyed in a tranquil Japanese garden where you can hear your own smug, sweet treat-sponsored thoughts. If proper little pastry freaks are your thing, get involved in the cookie croissant from this cool, whitewashed Notting Hill bakery where a queue is likely, but everything is worth the wait." - heidi lauth beasley

This was up there with one of the best bagels of my life (and I was in NYC in September). I ordered a egg, tomato and ketchup on a sesame bagel and it was amazing. Quick and polite service with a delicious bagel. What more could you want!? Would recommend to anyone visiting and locals. Note the space inside is very small but Kensington gardens are right around the corner with plenty of park benches!

I have been a regular customer at KURO Bakery since moving to the Notting Hill area. I love their delicious pastries, especially the Pistachio Sakuro. However, I am also a big fan of their equally delicious bagels at their other store, Kuro Bagels. I usually treat myself to one of their bagels on a Sunday morning. The bagels are all prepared fresh on-site and there are a variety of options, not only in the type of bagel, but also the cream cheese which is used. My personal favourites are the bagel sandwiches, including the "breakfast" ones with egg, cheese and bacon or sausage. Every time I have a bagel, it is well prepared with a generous amount of fillings. Kuro also recently collaborated with the fried chicken chain Coqfighter to create a delicious fried chicken bagel. It is honestly one of the best bagels I have ever had. The customer service at KURO Bagels is just as good as KURO Bakery. All of the staff I have interacted with have been very friendly and helpful. For example, I recently misplaced the receipt for an order I had placed, but the team were very responsive when I contacted them by email and in-store. If you are a bagel fan like me, you should definitely consider making a purchase from KURO Bagels by delivery or visiting them in-person. I highly recommend the KURO x Cogfighter Fried Chicken Bagel while it is still available.

Had the egg and cheese and ordered a veg but got the tomato bagel. Both were delicious, although a little disappointed about the order mistake. can't be too mad though, it is a Sunday morning after all . Also ordered an iced hojicha and americano and both were great. Said it would be 15 and took less than 10 mins for the bagels.

This bagel shop is a must-visit for bagel lovers. They offer a great variety of options, and every bagel I’ve tried has been fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The only downside is that the seating area is quite small, so it’s not the best spot if you’re planning to linger for long — but the quality of the bagels more than makes up for it. Perfect for a quick bite or takeaway.

The vegan bagel is disappointing. The vegan cream cheese tastes like coconut oil and weird texture. A cashew based option would be so much better. The tomato’s had no flavour, crunchy - obviously kept in fridge. The bagel itself is great and the Matcha is unreal! Would be nice to see more thought put into the vegan bagel.

Egg bagel was okay. Tomato had no flavour and it seemed there was no much seasoning. Also the there’s so little filling. It’s mostly the bagel. Also there was no prices in the menu so while ordering it was hard to know what the total will be. Matcha was nice and decent size, there was no problem to change it from cold to warm once asked even after paying. It’s very much take and go place, i tried to sit down and have my sandwich but the stools in front of the seating area are not ideal to eat or even relax and have some time in. In total I paid £12.10 for an egg bagel and matcha. Staff was nice but I’m not sure if waiting in the queue to have it again would be worth it.

The bagel sandwiches were hot, fresh and absolutely delicious! We went to Kuro Bagels on a Friday morning and it was packed with a line out the door. Indoor seating is very limited, so be prepared to stand outside to eat/find a bench.

Absolutely lovely bagels, really enjoyed the filling options and variety! Store is a bit small so don’t come expecting to sit in and eat- it’s much better suited to takeaway. Lovely service, everyone was very friendly and quick.
