The 19 Best Desserts In London - London - The Infatuation

"The croissant bread and butter pudding rings in our mind like a siren anytime we’re in the vicinity of this tiny Notting Hill bakery. A slice of the dense, doughy loaf is the kind of sweet brick that could easily be shared—but why share when you can save half for later? Stand in the queue, talk loudly about ordering the pain au chocolat to throw everyone else off, and pray that no one takes the last slice of pudding before you order." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager, sinead cranna

Where To Get A Park Picnic That Isn't Crisps & Hummus - London - The Infatuation

Kuro Bakery - Review - Notting Hill - London - The Infatuation

"Whenever we’re around Notting Hill during the day, the croissant bread and butter pudding from this tiny takeaway bakery rings in our mind like a siren. A slice of the dense, doughy loaf is the kind of sweet brick that could easily be shared—but why share when you can save half for later? That should be your game plan at Kuro Bakery. Stand in the inevitable queue, stare longingly at the pain au chocolat and cheese truffle swirl, and pray that no one takes the last slice of pudding before you get a chance to order. Because while this cool, beige and white bakery is filled with delicious-looking things like apple crumble and limited-edition peanut butter danishes, the bread and butter pudding is what it’s all about. photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch photo credit: Aleksandra Boruch Pause Unmute" - Rianne Shlebak

Kuro Bakery is an absolute gem in the heart of Notting Hill! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the warm aroma of freshly baked pastries and a minimalist, calming atmosphere. Their croissants are perfectly flaky, and the matcha lattes are some of the best in London. The staff are always friendly and clearly passionate about what they do. It’s the perfect spot for a quiet morning coffee or a weekend treat. A must-visit for anyone who loves artisan bakeries and beautiful design!

I’ve ordered apple strudel, chocolate and hazelnut croissant and blueberry muffin. The croissant is generously filled with chocolate and hazelnut cream but the cream itself is tasteless and taste more like a pudding, apple strudel had so little filling and it was somewhat hard to chew. Seemed like apples were not cooked enough or croissant was old. Or both. It wasn’t melting in your mouth at all. Blueberry muffin was nice bc of the blueberry compote at the top but once it’s gone then it’s bland. I’m not sure if for over £15 it was worth the trip Also the lady on the till was too busy chatting to a friend to acknowledge new customers coming in although I stood in front of her.

Stopped by Kuro Bakery in Notting Hill for a pain au chocolat and an iced coffee - both were great. The pastry was fresh with good quality chocolate, and the coffee was well made. Plenty of tempting options on offer, so definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.

I ordered an iced matcha with soya milk. The flavor was just right—not too sweet and not too bold. Also got a flat white, and the croissant? literally the yummiest I’ve had in a while The staff were sweet, but there weren’t many chairs so maybe don’t expect to sit for long. Still, cute little stop if you’re around!

There are a lot of bakeries in the Notting Hill area, but Kuro Bakery stands out for me because of some of the more unique items on their menu. These include their Sākuro Pastries, which are delicious. My personal favourite is the Pistachio flavour. Their customer service is also very good. I contacted them recently, as I wanted to purchase their Guinness & Chocolate Ganache Cake, but could not order it through Deliveroo. I contacted the bakery and Olive from the team was incredibly helpful and arranged a collection for me. I really appreciated it, as the cake was for a special occasion. The other staff at the bakery are also friendly and helpful when you visit in-person. I do recommend the Guinness & Chocolate Ganache Cake if you are looking for a chocolate cake which is not too sweet. It has a really nice contrast between the slight bitterness of the Guinness and the sweetness of the chocolate. Kuro Bakery is definitely worth a visit whether you are looking for well baked conventional breads and pastries or something a little more unusual.

Absolutely one of the best finds in London. Everything is so good. However, the best is their Truffle cheese pastry - it gets sold out by 11AM. So get there early & it’s worth it. Their sweet treats are spectacular too.

Google
Nice bakery with a lot of options. - Tried the pistachio croissant and one of the breads. The croissant was ok and the bread was delicious. - There are some chairs outside but it's mostly for takeaway. - Staff was very friendly. - Prices are slightly higher than usual. Would visit again to try more.

You know that meme about Asians praising desserts by saying “it’s not too sweet”? That phrase articulates how the sweetness IS there but it is NOT the only flavor in the product. Leave the overly sugary products to typical donut chains. Come to Kuro Bakery for a wonderful blend of flavors. I got something that had lychee filling. It was not too sweet. 5/5
