Kuromon Sushi

I had an incredible meal at Kuromon Sushi. Everything was incredibly fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and full of flavor. The way they blend Japanese technique with Peruvian flavors is truly special and feels intentional, not gimmicky. The real standout for me was the sashimi. Easily some of the best I’ve ever had. Each cut was pristine, perfectly seasoned, and let the quality of the fish shine. You can immediately tell how much care goes into sourcing and preparation. A special shoutout to Giovanni, the chef and owner, who personally came by to say hello and check in. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable and shows how much pride he takes in his restaurant. I went on a Thursday night and it was fairly quiet, which made for a relaxed, intimate dining experience. The service was also excellent. Attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming without feeling rushed. And do not skip dessert. The dulce de leche molten cake was unreal. Warm, rich, and the perfect way to end the meal. If you’re in South Beach and love high-quality sushi with a unique twist, Kuromon is a must. I’ll absolutely be back.

We had a memorable and incredible sushi experience in Kuromon Sushi with a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, the owners—Chef Giovanni and his wife Andhiny—made us feel at home with their genuine warmth and attention to detail. Our server, David, was friendly and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with great recommendations. The food was outstanding—super fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, clearly reflecting the expertise behind every dish. It was an excellent evening that I would happily repeat and confidently recommend. I give them 5 stars!!!

Kuromon Sushi is honestly one of my new favorite spots. The fish is super fresh, the rolls are beautiful, and everything tastes so clean and flavorful. The Peruvian Japanese mix makes every bite a little different in the best way. The seared salmon and scallop nigris and the hand rolls were my favorites. The vibe is calm, cute, and the service is great too. Definitely a place you want to keep coming back to!! 10 out of 10!!!

Kuromon is an incredible example of a restaraunt with a heart and a menu that is so incredibly thoughtful and delicious. The atmosphere is calm and full of intentional Japanese design. The service was warm, friendly and welcoming. And the food…the food was so delicious. The hand rolls were fresh and yummy. The tuna tataki was melt in the mouth and its sauce was addictive. Overall, a must go. The chef and owner Gio was a brilliant guy and hope he goes far.

Loved this restaurant! The ingredients were so fresh. The salmon nigiri was insanely delicious. It was so soft it felt like it melted in my mouth. The acevichado was amazing as well. Will definitely be coming back. Andhiny and chef Gio were super nice and attentive. 100% recommend.

Kuromon has easily become my go-to sushi spot. I come here every week because it’s consistently incredible. Their salmon truffle nigiri is out of this world and don’t get me started on the Wagyu nigiri… Every roll I’ve tried has been so delicious that it’s honestly hard to pick a favorite. The quality, taste, and overall experience at Kuromon make it one of the best sushi spots around. If you love fresh, flavorful sushi with delicious nigiri, this place is a must!

We have been looking for a good late night sushi spot near north bay village… and we were so happy to find out about Kuromon. Ambiance, service, quality of food and attention to detail were superb. Hamachi belly, scallop, toro, wagyu… anything on the menu is worth getting. ALSO, to the Veteran (thank you for your service) who paid our meals, thank you and enjoy your next meal on me sir. CHEERS!

If I could give Kuromon Sushi more than 5 stars, I would! From start to finish, this was an unforgettable sushi experience. We sampled a variety of dishes, and while everything was delicious, the standouts for me were the nigiri. The Salmon Anticuchero, Wagyu Anticuchero, and Truffle Salmon are absolute must-tries. Lightly seared to perfection, each piece comes with its own thoughtfully crafted topping that enhances the fish without overpowering it, so flavorful you won't even think about reaching for soy sauce. The fish quality is exceptional, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and paired with perfectly seasoned rice. The staff is friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Plates arrived at just the right pace, and they were happy to share recommendations and answer questions. This is, without a doubt, one of the best sushi experiences I've ever had and I'm already planning my next visit.

I gave this place 2 stars and let me tell you why. First the food is excellent and high quality. One of the better sushi places on the beach. My server Johana was excellent. Very attentive and knew th menu well. Then why only 2 stars??? They add an automatic gratuity of 20% to the bill. This is not only illegal in this county, it is truly insulting. I'm a local but even if I was a tourist, I would not be happy with that. Sadly, I actually would have paid more to my server than 20% but that is my choice to do. Not to be forced to give. I was ready to spread the word here to my friends and family about this place. Now, I won't and not sure if I'll be back.

We were so excited for Kuromon to open, and it did not disappoint! You can tell the chef pays close attention to every detail of the sushi--from the rice to the presentation. This is the kind of sushi that doesn't need to be drowned in soy sauce; in fact, I don't think I used it once because every bite was packed with incredible flavor. We ordered the Dragon Roll, Nike Anticuchera, Spicy Hamachi, and Spicy Tuna, and loved them all. Fresh, beautifully plated, and perfectly balanced--Kuromon is definitely a new favorite.

The service is impeccable. The owners are very welcoming, kind, and friendly. The sushi was amazing! I wish they had more counter seats so we could watch them making the sushi. They only had three. But the service and the food were perfect!

We split the spicy tuna roll, dragon roll, and a handheld hamachi yuzu kosho. It was so so good. Will definitely be going back at least one more time on my trip, and a must-stop for future visits to Miami Beach! I am not a huge sushi person, more of a trying to like sushi and honestly just thinking it's okay. This place 100% made me change my mind. I ate this upppp. Everything we had was amazing! All of the staff was so kind and helpful when deciding that to get and very attentive!! It has such a cool vibe in the building as well.

Kuromon Sushi was some of the best rolls I think my husband and I have ever had. The fish was incredibly fresh and the rolls were beautiful!! The restaurant was very clean, organized, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. The service was exceptional and the overall design of the space was perfect!! We had the salmon and hamachi sashimi, as well as the dragon roll and the spicy hamachi roll. Both were perfection, each the perfect bite! Highly recommend, it ended up being our favorite meal of the trip.

Omg. Incredible spot and there is no doubt that this has become my go to neighborhood sushi spot. Fish = very fresh. Rolls and sushi = creative blend of flavors, fresh, melt in your mouth fresh and simply delicious. Gio and staff = kind, creative and hard working. I won't be going anywhere else for my sushi and you shouldn't either.

Amazing sushi, especially their specialty nigiri's. Not your typical regular sushi flavors but better. The sushi rice that they make has an amazing taste to it and it definitely elevates everything that already tastes good. Freshest ingredients and bold flavors that, in my opinion, you don't even really need to dip in soy sauce. If you're not a person who eats raw ingredients, they offer other stuff that are just as amazing especially their gyoza that is just so delicious and different than other places I've been to. They obviously offer your regular sushi styles but if you're also looking for something unique and deliciously unusual flavors, this is definitely a place to go to! I highly recommend Kuromon sushi and can't wait to go back soon!

Obsessed with this place! Quality sushi rivaling any of the "hot spots " around town but down to earth and friendly! Nigiri and tuna tataki appetizer were both a spiritual experience.

Tried Kuromon Sushi opening week and it did not disappoint. Cozy, elevated space that's perfect for date night. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and some of the best sushi I've had--especially the salmon aburi and salmon anticuchero. Highly recommend!

Dont order take out from this restaurant. they do not care about take out orders and will make you wait an hour for your food while tables that have ordered 20 minutes after you finish their entire meals. not even an apology from the chef. Then the waitresses lie to you and say only a couple more minutes every 20 minutes. Very unprofessional
