"A typical Palatinate wine tavern in the middle of Berlin? At Adenauerplatz near Ku'damm, you will find this traditional bar tucked away in a courtyard. In cosy, rustic rooms you can enjoy home-style cooking and regional classics, along with 50 wines served by the glass and 800 on the wine list. Short menu of the day at lunchtime." - Michelin Inspector

Great food, interesting service! We had a company dinner here and the food was fantastic – no complaints there. The location is also lovely. The service, however, was its own kind of memorable. The owner was clearly having a stressful night and wasn't shy about showing it. We were treated a little disrespectfully, but our group decided to just laugh it off as the authentic German customer service experience we've all heard about. I still highly recommend it and would come back cause the quality of the food and drinks are phenomenal.

Excellent food. The service can be a little intimidating but in general attentive. The space is not big so it can be quite loud. Two course menu should be 49.9 euro but I was charged 63 euro. Otherwise I really enjoyed the food.

Got the three course meal with no regrets. The food was exceptional, totally understand why it's on the Michelin guide! Scallops and roast beef were on-point, and the lime meringue was the cherry on top! My waitress was very friendly and provided me with great recs and descriptions of dishes. The atmosphere was also very comfortable. Only gripe was that it seemed a bit understaffed with two waiters considering how busy it was. Expect half an hour wait between courses which is understandable given the time it takes to prepare fresh dishes.

I found the food to be decent.. nothing really stood out to me or was really memorable. Compared to most of the wine bars we have in Canada, I found their selection to be quite small but the selection that we had were exceptional. As tourists who are new to German wine, it would have been a nice touch if the sommelier or waiter had a brief rundown as to why this particular wine made it on their list and what makes this wine special. I would have loved to know more about each glass & I feel like this touch would definitely elevate their wine bar experience. Out of all the dining experiences we had in Berlin, the service had to have been the best during our stay - although that is to be expected, given their rating on the Michelin guide. However, during our meal, there were a few wasps that came down on our table and tried a few meats from our charcuterie board. We let them be and take what they needed but hopefully they are in the midst of controlling the wasps in their terrace. In the end, we had a great time and it was a nice place to enjoy German wine 😊🍷

The food and wine were nice. You got a great selection of German wines. Only unfortunate thing is that we ran into a large group and the kitchen seemed to be struggling to keep up with the orders of every guest. the decor showed a lot of history of the place, if you manage to run into the owner or his wife, they will tell you all about it! for those who think of sitting outside, beware of flying insects and climbing insects around. there are plenty of seatings indoor to avoid any disturbance to your meals...

This was a very authentic and cozy restaurant. We tried the skrei, soup with fish essence and roulade, along with the selection of wines and a cheese plate. The roulade was great, although slightly too salty with the sauce, and skrei was cooked beautifully. The soup had a strong taste from its broth, even though there wasn’t a lot of different ingredients in it. The prices are okay, and the service was very good. The wine selection is diverse and this is a good place for any occasion.

The food and the wine were delicious. The staff were all very kind and considerate. I will definitely be back. There was a small mix up about one of my dishes and the staff handled it swiftly and accommodated with a free glass of wine. This showed me that not only do they understand the importance of good food and wine (as you can see) but also of good service ( a rare occurrence in Berlin). This will definitely be a regular stop for us. The food and the wine were amazing, staff was lovely (and spoke English and German) and the prices are very fair.

The Institution of palatina im Berlin. Mostly classics of german soulfood cuisine but also a decent changing three or four courses Menu. Tremendous winelist with a focus on german wineregions and some other gems. The best price-value and deepness of vintages winelist of Berlin! 👏👏👏

Yelp
This was our first visit to a German restaurant when we were in Berlin! We enjoyed the food, the wine and beer, and the ambiance. It really seemed authentically German!

Yelp
What a wonderful dinner. We were visiting Berlin on family vacation from the states and had read about Kurpfalz-Weinstuben. We ate there last night and were not disappointed. Not only was the food amazing, the ambiance was lovely with beautiful outdoor seating and the waitstaff was very courteous. Our teenage daughters also loved it, which doesn't always happen . We will definitely be referring this place to anyone going to Berlin.

Yelp
This was my first meal in Berlin, and it did not disappoint. I'm the service was great, and it was such a cozy restaurant. I would highly suggest doing the 3 courses. The onion soup is so good and so is the beef. If you want to order other things - the salad is great. A must visit in Germany.

Yelp
This used to be the place to get impressively aged (German) wines by the glass and bottle for pre WWII prices. The way the interior complements the agedness of the wines is spot on. The food, however rustic, is nothing to get any culinary prizes for, but dishes that your great-grandparents probably thought were pretty cutting edge, like 'Kallstadter Saumagen' or 'gebeizter Fleischspieß mit Salat' only add to the time-machine-like experience. If you're bored with trendy nordic cuisine or 'natural' wine bars, why not try out this place for a completely different experience. The owner recently changed, and it's still unclear how (or if) the new owner will be able to continue offering the kind of perplexing prize-quality this Weinstuben is famous for. We will come by to find out for sure. Good luck to him, with all the renovations and investments it's going to be a hard path to follow!

Yelp
Wonderful wines, delicious food, great atmosphere, very knowledgeable staff - we had a great experience here. We sat outside under the trees in a quiet courtyard near the busy Adenauerplatz. The dinner menu is only available in German, but our waiter kindly took the time to translate and describe each item for us. Our waiter made wine pairing suggestions and I'm glad he did. The wine menu is fairly extensive and his recommendations were excellent! I would not have selected a Rosé myself but the Spätburgunder Rosé was absolutely delightful with the duck beast and melon starter. We've already made plans to dine here again during our stay in Berlin.
