"Positioned in the Famous Foods Street Eats hall by Rocky Aoki’s sons, Kuru Kuru Pa aims to popularize Japanese chicken yakitori in America with fast-casual skewers and a heavy embrace of Japanese culture — anime, manga, and all — as the Aoki brothers hope to build a cult following similar to their father’s teppanyaki legacy." - Eater Staff

"Opened by Rocky Aoki’s oldest two sons, Kuru Kuru Pa is a fast-casual chicken yakitori spot in Resorts World’s Famous Foods Street Eats on the Las Vegas Strip that aims to popularize yakitori in America. The brothers lean into Japanese culture—anime, manga and the “cult” around it—with branding by Steve Aoki and operations by Kevin Aoki. The menu centers on free-range Jidori chickens grilled over kiawe wood with a tare sauce from their mother’s recipe; skewers run $7 to $10 each, and the menu also includes musubi and other family-adapted entrees. Steve’s favorite is the chicken hearts skewer, while Kevin prefers the nankotsu (cartilage), which they describe as crunchy and rich in collagen and minerals; they plan to showcase many parts of the chicken. The name translates to “crazy,” the concept grew out of a relationship with Huey Lim of Genting Berhad for a smaller Famous Foods space, and the brothers say this Las Vegas location is just the beginning of “a lot of plans in Vegas.”" - Emmy Kasten
