Kusaka Curry Namba DINING MAISON

Outstanding Japanese curry place; we had the pork cutlet and ground beef curries with rice, and a side dish of fried eggplant, all paired with Asahi lager. The dishes were perfectly spiced, flavourful and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. The location is perfect for a quick and tasty meal after shopping in Takashimaya and the extensive selection of retailers. Highly² recommended!

I have visited this shop a few times, including when it first opened. This is a great place to visit if you want to try Japanese style curry! The curry roux is very flavorful with a little heat, but also easy to eat for people who are not able to eat spicy food. Highly recommend the mozzarella and pork cutlet toppings. Also, the staff are all very kind, food is served quickly, and there was English-speaking staff and an English menu available. My only caution is that if you are used to eating South/SE Asian or Caribbean style curry, it is a rather different taste, so please be aware of that.

Second time dining at this location. Fantastic curry, immensely flavourful and rich. The hamburg is also probably the best I've had, very moist and tasty. The fried egg was also perfectly cooked. The garlic fried rice also goes well with the curry, although I've not tried the normal plain rice.

Saw this place was recommended and it definitely met our expectations. The place is small so you may need to wait a bit but the line moved relatively fast. We ordered the pork cutlet curry and the steak curry. Both so tender and full of flavor. The staff was kind and efficient. Definitely would come back.

There was a long queue but it only ended up taking 30 minutes. I do not eat beef or pork and that was difficult because the curry sauce has beef in it. I got garlic rice with cheese, fried egg, and eggplant. So delicious! Just a bit too rich and heavy for my preference, a little too much butter/oil. But if you like that then you'll have the best meal ever.

This might literally be the best curry I’ve ever had in my life? As well as my favourite meal during my week long trip in Osaka-Kyoto. The curry is just so fragrant and the hamburger steak was perfectly juicy. I got extra add-ons, the garlic fried rice and fried eggplants (half portion) which were equally as amazing. There was no wait when I went on a Friday at around 7:30pm.

I rarely review restaurants in Google but this one deserves an applause. The food was excellent. One of the best Japanese curry for me so far. The flavor was well balanced, it was savory with a touch of sweetness at the same time. Will definitely go back. BTW they are on the 8th Floor of Takashimaya Osaka Namba. 🇯🇵❤️

I had an amazing meal at Kusaka Curry! The curry was rich, flavorful, and had just the right balance of spices without being overpowering. The hamburger steak on top was juicy and tender, pairing perfectly with the savory curry sauce and fluffy rice. The portion size was generous and very satisfying. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, perfect for a quick but hearty meal. Service was friendly, and I appreciated the little touches like the self-serve water, condiments, and neatly arranged counter setup. If you’re craving authentic Japanese curry with a homemade taste, Kusaka Curry is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back again for sure!
