At first glance, Kusina Filipina looks small from the outside, but once you step in, the space opens up. The style is very typical of a Filipino restaurant--simple and a little eclectic, like dining at your auntie's house filled with antiques and mismatched furniture. The layout is a bit unusual, with the kitchen tucked in the middle behind the bar and the stage set all the way at the back. But honestly, we didn't come for the décor--we came for the food and the music.
We ordered the fried meat and grilled meat platter, along with Beef Bulalo, Pancit, and crispy Dinuguan. Every dish came out piping hot, portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The service was quick and attentive, and the prices were more than fair considering the amount of food served.
To top it off, the music was fantastic! The Shifting Crew was performing that night, and they really set the tone for a fun evening.
Overall, Kusina Filipina is all about good food, good vibes, and supporting our fellow kababayans. Highly recommend--try it, you won't regret it!
