Lovely beach walk with beautiful sculptures along the way. The water isn’t super clear, but there are plenty of nice spots to enjoy, plus restaurants and coffee shops around. It can get a bit busy, but you’ll still find quieter corners to relax.

Beautiful long beach, great for surfing. I like the long walking path or just the beach as you can take long walks here. Sadly, I see some working horses too - heartbreaking to see the poor treatments of animals. No excuse for animal abuse, when people can use motorbikes instead.

Strong waves, and nice sunsets! I went here a lot of times and although it was cloudy often, the sunset is still lovely. You need to buy from stores to stay on benches but you can find a lot of free spaces along the shore. Just bring a beach towel & book, or just sit on the sand like I do.

Kuta Beach is famous for its sunset and surf-friendly waves. It’s lively, with many food options nearby. A bit crowded and not always clean, but still worth visiting.

Kuta Beach is absolutely stunning! 🌊 The waves are perfect for surfing, and the atmosphere is lively with plenty of beach bars and restaurants nearby. I loved taking long walks along the shore and soaking up the sun. A must-visit spot in Bali! 🌴🏄‍♂️

The beach is so pretty. I witnessed the best sunset of my life here. It’s very clean and not too crowded. The water is also clean. I had a picnic here and it was totally worth it. Go in evening to get the best out of the beach. It is not too commercialised. If you had south you will get lots of bars and djs but in the north side it is very peaceful and silent. We just sat on the beach and watched the sun go down and submerge into the ocean. One of the best moments of my entire life. It’s a must visit if you are in Bali.

Love the natural beauty of this beach. There are several access points, opportunities for surfing is plentiful, and eateries located along the beach. Just be aware, most locations will charge you for using tables/chairs and there are differences in prices depending on who you ask and which beach you are in located. Many individuals will come accross your path trying to sell you something, and ask you if you need a ride somewhere. Just be prepared for the abundance of tourists and what comes along with all that.

Kuta Beach is a solid choice if you’re looking to try surfing for the first time. The waves are decent, not too strong, and perfect for beginners. Swimming is technically possible here, but you won’t really enjoy it — the place is packed with surfers, especially in the afternoon. If you’ve never surfed before, I highly recommend taking a surfing lesson — it’s a lot of fun! But be smart: 💸 The usual price for a 2-hour lesson directly with an instructor is 150,000 IDR. 🏫 If you go through a surf school, expect to pay at least 250,000 IDR. 💡 Pro tip: Take one lesson through the school, then deal directly with the same instructor outside the school. That way, you pay less (even 100,000 IDR) and the instructor earns more — since schools usually only pay them 100k anyway. Just don’t mention this to the school. 😏 The beach itself is a bit dirty, and there are crowds everywhere, especially at sunset. But oh, those sunsets… 🌅 Absolutely stunning. I highly recommend grabbing a seat at one of the beach bars or little tables set up along the upper side of the beach. ❗️Important tip: Don’t pay for a table — the legit ones are free as long as you order drinks. If someone asks you to pay for the table itself, just walk away. 💰 Prices are fairly reasonable: • Local beer (330ml can): ~30,000 IDR • Fresh coconut: ~40,000 IDR So overall, Kuta is worth visiting, especially for surfing and sunsets, but don’t expect a peaceful beach day or crystal-clear water.
