If you're hungry and nearby, this is the place to be. The staff are some of the nicest and most passionate people I've ever met and every single thing I've ordered across my many visits has been fantastic. If you're unfamiliar with Filipino food, I would suggest the Sisig or Kare-Kare. I ordered the Garlic Chicken (one of their many rotating daily specials) for the first time during my last visit and it was, no hyperbole, perfection. I often daydream about their food when I'm not in town and it saddens me when I'm too far away to go there for lunch sometimes. More than reasonable portions and the prices are generally pretty affordable too.

This is a little gem in the Parker food court. Every time I’ve eaten here the portions are great, the taste is amazing, and I have enough to take home or split with a partner. I love their adobo and you can tell everything is cooked to order. Attached photo is pork adobo with garlic fried rice and egg.

This bowl of beef mami took me back to my childhood eating mami at school on a rainy day. It definitely embraces the richness and taste of filipino home cooking ♡︎

At the food court of Parker Ranch mall in waimea. Delicious Filipino food. Try the igado (its like menudo) They have kare kare, crispy pata, nilaga, turon, etc.

Kuya JNL – A New Must-Visit Spot in Parker Ranch Shopping Center Kuya just opened up in the Parker Ranch Shopping Center, and trust me—you have to check it out! This place is a game-changer for anyone craving delicious Filipino flavors with generous portions and a laid-back vibe. First off, everything on the menu is both affordable and ridiculously delicious. You’ll get more than your money’s worth here. The portion sizes are HUGE, which means you can share, but you might also want to keep it all to yourself (no judgment here). And now, the real star—Sisig. Seriously, just trust me on this one. If you’re a fan of bold, savory, crispy, and flavorful bites, this sisig will have you coming back again and again. The flavor is out of this world and will leave you craving more long after you’ve finished. The rest of the menu is equally amazing, with every dish packing huge flavors that hit the spot. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, JNL Kuya should definitely be on your radar. It’s a fresh new favorite, and it’s quickly becoming a go-to for anyone in the area.

Big portions, fast service, reasonable prices. Great to have an option for filipino food in Kamuela. Daily specials along with all the favorites: pinakbet, sisig, adobo, kare kare, pancit and banana lumpia for desert. Certified broke da mouf. Can't wait to go back! So ono!

Best food on the Big Island! This gem of an eatery is located in Waimea, a cute little town near the Waikoloa Resort areas, inside a food court. We are here on vacation and have dined at our resort, an expensive restaurant, and other restaurants recommended by the locals, but so far, they serve the best food EVER!! My husband had the Sisig and I had the Igado and Pancit Guisado. I would rate it 20 out of 10…food is beyond expectations. If you want an authentic Filipino-Hawaiian cuisine, come and try this place. You will not be disappointed

Yelp
This was probably the best Filipino food I have ever had from a restaurant, like home-style, not like "fusion" or anything like that. I ordered the kare kare with crispy pork and pork lumpias, and it was the closest to my mom's home cooking I've ever had from a restaurant - hard to do, IMO! Very good and legit!!!

Yelp
I liked it. I ordered the crispy pork belly special for my daughter and I. It didn't come with the tomato onion but I asked for it for an additional $1. So good. Tasted like Korean chicken sauce with crispy pork. Service is good and the wait time was a expected since food is cooked when you order.

Yelp
Ono food. Good balance in flavors and texture. It's about consistency and time management. obviously, a lot of food is cook to order, even though it's precooked and heated to order, instead of being on warmer all day. Makes the difference!

Yelp
Great friendly service, kitchen was a bit slow but understandable ...place just opened and I visited peak lunch rush Reasonable prices in Waimea and tasty.

Yelp
Really friendly service. I got the tinono with banana lumpia. If I was completely honest, tinono was good but I thought it needed a little more flavor. Although, Perfect proportion between the meat and the rice. Banana lumpia was crispy and not too sweet, which is great.

Yelp
I enjoyed the Crispy pork belly with onion and tomatoes. It wasn't all just fat but it had some meat in it. The price is reasonable for the amount you get. I do wish they had some type of side dish though, like pancit or Mac salad but I Will be coming back to try other dishes on their menu, excited to try their Igado.

Yelp
Had the chicken papaya and it was delicious. Papaya was perfectly cooked. Friendly service.
