"Pork Belly Satay. The sticks of pork belly are smoke-kissed with charred edges, dripping with savoury juices. The meat here is also marinated with saffron to give it a distinctive, fragrant aroma." - Meryl Koh

This is a Satay stall that I frequent regularly. The star item here is the pork belly satay, which they sell, in addition the usual chicken and pork satay. Most stalls don’t sell pork belly satay. The meat for the pork belly satay is well marinated and the slivers of pork fats gives an added flavor to the satay. The chicken and pork satay are great too. They also sell ketupat (rice cakes) that are made the traditional way - wrapped in woven coconut leaves, instead of the instant plastic bag wrapped ones. They are generous with the peanut dip, which is tasty too. Highly recommended! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😋

Previously saw a recommendation to try the satay here, and what caught my attention was their pork belly satay, which I have not seen elsewhere. Came on a Saturday evening and ordered 5 pork belly, 5 pork and 5 mutton, plus a ketupah. The pork belly satay was outstanding, even though it was twice the price of the other satays. There was also the chicken which I didn't get for fear of not being able to finish the food. I would recommend trying the full range on your first visit, but on my next visit, I would go all in on the pork belly.

Had eaten Kwong satay for many years already But standards seems to have taken a slight dip Still good and better than many others, but meat seems less juicy and succulent

Satay was well marinated and cuts of meat good sized. The pork belly satay was good! every thou the price is double of the normal pork satay, you do get double the portion as well, so it works out to be the same price. Their prices are really reasonable considering the most satay sellers are asking $0.70 to $0.80 per stick now they are still at $0.60.

Ordered all their different variations : belly pork $1.40. Pork, chicken and mutton 70 cents each and rice cakes (ketupat) 70 cents. Do note Chinese satay doesn't have beef skewers. All skewers were grilled to perfect tenderness. Marinade was a good balance or sweet & savory complimented by the peanut dipping sauce. 👍

OMG saw Mr sim was invited to Sentosa to attend Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023, I have always been going down Geylang for his satay, the pork belly is my favourite, will never forget the best pork and chicken, mutton , they are all marinated so well.

Maybe it’s just my luck that my order of delivered satay tasted like overnight food because I certainly won’t recommend it. I know my photos made them look pretty good but both the mutton and pork texture were dry and absolutely does not represent what good satay is suppose to be. And the Banana Leaf Otah is unusually small for a “Banana Leaf” type otah. It’s not the usual size you and I are familiar with. It’s so small it’s the size of a normal otah or perhaps even smaller. Moreover it did not taste good at all. It tasted flat and like overnight food as well. The chicken wings, although damn skinny, was their saving grace. At least the wings and chilli sauce tasted quite nice. Satay sauce also not bad. But this will be my first and my last time. This place is not for me.

Chicken, Mutton and Pork Satay. Kwong's satay has move up a couple of Lorong downwards. Didn't get to order their famous pork belly as it was out of stock but their regular stay is also quite well marinated.
