A colleague had recommended Kyma for a last-minute team dinner, and we were able to walk into the restaurant around 7 PM on a weeknight and were seated right away.
The restaurant is sleek and modern, yet it has a relaxed Mediterranean vibe. The menu features a variety of easily shareable Mediterranean classics, including dips, salads, appetizers, and fish. Most of the dishes were served in sets of three, which was perfect for our group.
We started out with a pitcher of sangria, which was refreshing but a bit too sweet for my liking (it tasted like fruit punch). We then ordered an array of dips and appetizers; the standouts for me were the fava bean hummus, spanakopita, and kyma chips (thinly sliced, deep-fried eggplant and zucchini). While the pita bread was a bit too oily, all of the flavors in each dish complemented each other.
For our main course, we ordered the lamb chops, which were probably my favorite part of the meal. I don't usually order lamb, but I really enjoyed this version, which was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection (medium).
Our server was friendly and helpful throughout our dining experience; she explained the unfamiliar dishes on the menu and offered thoughtful recommendations.
We left very full and satisfied after our meal, and I would definitely recommend Kyma for a team outing after work.
