The Sioux Chef Opens Cooking School and Kitchen Inside Midtown Global Market | Eater Twin Cities

"Planned inside the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel in Eagan, Kyndred Hearth is Ann Kim's forthcoming restaurant featuring an open kitchen with a copper-domed wood fire oven; while Kim will include pizza as she's known to do, the hotel-focused concept will offer much more and provide breakfast through lunch as well. Ann Kim, a James Beard Award–winning chef behind Young Joni, Pizzeria Lola, Hello Pizza, and the forthcoming Sooki & Mimi, was targeting a fall 2020 opening." - Joy Summers

First time visit for my husband’s bday. Warmly greeted by host and then server, Sara, who was very attentive and knowledgeable. I had the Beef ravioli and my husband had the Korean short ribs. Both were absolutely delicious and served piping hot. Also had the soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt, and while may sound weird, was really good. Will definitely return!

We tried the Tavern Pizza and it was rather sweet so probably just a poor ordering choice on our part. The Chinese five spice chicken wings were good. They have potential with a little spice. The chicken sandwich was fine and fries were good.

Kyndred Hearth is easily one of the best spots in Eagan. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the open kitchen adds a nice touch. The bar area is fantastic, with a great vibe and top-notch cocktails. Their Old Fashioned is outstanding. The food is solid across the board. The pizzas are incredible, the meatballs are fantastic, and the burger is one of the best out there. Pretty much anything on the menu is a great choice. Service is always great. The bartender's, Jon or John, or Ben or Ben, or James or James (yes there are 6 of them) always remember us, fun to talk to, always on top of everything, and keeps things running smoothly. Being near Vikings Lakes, it’s a great place to grab a meal or a drink, whether you're into football or not. Definitely worth a visit.

MUST TRY!! We were very pleased with the drinks and food along with our service. I got the Wildest Dream cocktail and to my surprise I actually liked it, haha! Well balanced between the two flavors and alcohol. Husband got the ‘seamless’ mocktail, twice, because it was so refreshing and definitely felt like summer. As for food, we should have ordered an app but skipped it haha. I got the BINCHOTAN-GRILLED CHICKEN (comes with gnocchi) under the ‘mains’ section and it was sooo good I could’ve had two servings. He got the RIGATONI ALLA VODKA under pastas and that was also delicious. We were still a little hungry so we ordered a sausage and pepperoni pizza (12” pizza). We’re very pleased and would definitely come back.. we’ll definitely order an app next time.

I’ve heard so many great things about Kyndred Hearth, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! My boyfriend and I went for a spontaneous date night and were lucky enough to sneak in just before the kitchen closed. From the moment we walked in, I was impressed by the restaurant’s sophisticated and cozy atmosphere. The menu was full of tempting options, and we had a hard time deciding—thankfully, our amazing server AJ guided us through the highlights. He’s probably the best server we ever have, very personable and honest. We ended up ordering the brie, beef ravioli, mushroom pizza, saffron arancini, and baked Alaska for dessert. Every single dish was fantastic—flavorful, well-balanced, and beautifully presented. We truly enjoyed every bite and can’t wait to come back to try more dishes. Highly recommend for a special night out or a casual upscale dinner!

Google
We absolutely love Kyndred Hearth! The food is always phenomenal—whether you’re in the mood for a quick pizza or something more unique, upscale, and special. You can make a reservation, but if you’d rather be spontaneous, the bar almost always has space. The bartenders are fantastic: friendly, attentive, and skilled at crafting unique cocktails. Just share your favorite flavors, and they’ll create a delicious custom drink for you. And don’t skip the soft-serve ice cream topped with olive oil and sea salt—it’s a classic for a reason!

Google
Excellent excellent food!! Had no idea a restaurant was at the Omni Lakes hotel but I'm so glad we came across it. We ordered the Chicken Wings (incredible), Pork Belly, Scallops and the Milk & Honey Cake. Everything was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent as well. Attentive but not overly so. Our server knew the menu like her back hand - I appreciate the dedication! The pork belly dish was so well balanced and pork belly cooked to perfection. Being so rich, I would've been ok with just 2 pieces of pork, but I'm certainly not complaining. The Scallops were cooked to perfection. The honey & milk cake may be an acquired taste since it's topped with whipped and lightly sweetened buttermilk. Personally I enjoyed it thoroughly but others may not. This was an all around great experience and will definitely be back!

Google
The Kyndred Hearth GM provided fantastic menu recommendations and even checked back to make sure we liked them all. The chicken liver pate was so good, we didn't even get a picture of it because it went so fast. The sausage was very tasty too. And our bartender recommended a unique whiskey sour that hit the spot. I see how this location is so popular

Yelp
Much like the rest of the Omni, the restaurant experience did not disappoint. I was staying at the hotel with a few girlfriends and we were hungry far earlier than expected. Walked into the hostess and she was incredibly accommodating to fit us in early for our reservation. We started with some cocktails, and each of them were tasty including my personal dry martini order. As there were dozens of items that looked delicious, we split a pizza, two pastas and the chicken. All were absolutely, plate licking good and the portions were generous. I also have to emphasize not to sleep on the chicken, I'm so glad our server recommended! The waitress was very friendly and the space is big and open. It is quite loud and vibrant but there are some pockets you could sit in for a more private experience. Would definitely visit again and also saw many people grab to go orders and enjoy a brew at the bar while they waited so even if you're not looking for a dinner out, could be a great eat in option!

Yelp
I got the cabbage and it was really good for a vegan option. I could have easily had 2 of them. My friends were raving about the pizza and homemade pasta too! Service was kind and the ambiance feels cozy yet open.

Yelp
Visited 3/22/25. First of all, Kyndred Hearth is beautiful. Super spacious and cool with darker lighting and an abundance of tables. Location feels kind of like its own world since it is attached to the Viking Omni hotel and is nearest to the training center in Eagan. Staff was super helpful and friendly from the start. There were lots of different drink options and I got a cider while my mom and sister each got glasses of wine. Then to eat we shared an order of arancini as a starter. It was perfectly cheesy and accompanied with fresh marinara. My mom ordered the mushroom pizza, my sister the vodka pasta, and me the sweet Italian pizza. Everything was delicious but we all agreed we liked the pasta best. It tasted homemade and was perfectly al dente. I liked my sausage pizza too and it heated up in the oven well as leftovers for lunch the next day. Overall while the menu could benefit from a few more vegetarian entree options, it was a solid dinner and a cool layout.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to head over here for dinner (figured was going to get a gift card for someone, so wanted to be able to tell them about the food). Kyndred Hearth did not disappoint. Everyone had told me how fancy/expensive it was, which, I will say, yes, it is more upscale, but I didn't find it to be pretentious or terribly unreasonable prices. I can't say no to arancini, so when I saw those on the menu, I was thrilled. They were delicious. I was really in a burger mood the day we went, and the Skol burger was great, albeit, too much for me (maybe a single patty instead of double would have been better). Drinks were also good and also couldn't pass up the ice cream with olive oil. Hubs had the Baked Alaska, which was also great. Will definitely come back again!

Yelp
Food and service is great! I just wish it wasn't so noisy. Very difficult to carry on a conversation. It's better in the summer when you can set on the patio.

Yelp
Recommended. Being in MSP for work, we were recommended Kyndered Hearth for a good meal and was not disappointed. It took a bit to get us seated despite arriving at our reservation time. We waited 15-20 to be seated. Party of 5, we elected to share 3 pizzas and apps amongst us. We ordered the Margarita, meat & mushroom pizzas. They were oven baked with a crispy crust.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place in 2020 for an anniversary date and had an awesome time. Pasta was amazing and everything felt completely upscale but at reasonable prices, so we were so impressed. Came back in 2024 to celebrate our anniversary again and brought my family in for a birthday this year (2025). Food is still just as amazing and delicious. We tried the Korean short rib this time and if you love sweet ribs, this is the perfect order. Lumache lobster pasta is still as delicious, rigatoni alla vodka for a little kick, and ravioli was so tasty! Tried the scallops and the salmon and would highly highly recommend it as well. Everything was just phenomenal all around. Had some delicious cocktails and two bottles of wine as well and server was very patient in explaining the different taste to us! It was a great experience :)

Yelp
Woohoo! I finally got the chance to eat at Kyndred Hearth! I came in a Friday night at 5:15PM and was able to easily find a parking spot. Since it is connected to the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel, there are large surface lots available for parking. There is also a valet option. The ambience is bright yet moody and there's a wide range of people there. Kids in pajamas to people dressed in dressy casual attire. There is a large bar, a high top area right by the pizza oven, and other tables and partial booths scattered around the restaurant. Our server was attentive and when I asked about gluten free options, they were quick to explain that many dishes are gluten free or can be made gluten free. They even have gluten free pizza crust. I am usually not used to many options so I had a pretty hard time deciding what to get. I was pleased to see that the drink menu had mocktail options. I ordered the passion berry punch very much. Our table got the antipasti and meatballs for an appetizer. They were thoroughly enjoyed. I finally decided on the hanger steak which was cooked to perfection..although small. I enjoyed splitting the wood oven-roasted beets with my sister. And of course, we had dessert. I've never had a chocolate budino (which is GF) and it was quite delicious. Yum. Cannot wait to be back. *One thing that was a bit annoying....the menus are physically large and it was very difficult to find a place for them since they took up a significant portion of the table. We ordered appetizers before our main meals so our server did not take them when she took our appetizer order although we would have been ready to order everything.

Yelp
Good atmosphere, Great food, and fantastic staff (kitchen, servers, bartenders, host/hostess, managers, food runners, etc). We usually select a pasta and pizza along with a bottle of wine (ask for the belle glos pinot noir) along with an off menu item of pizza bread with sauce if we have any of our kids along with us. Great pre and after dinner cocktail creations by the bartenders if you ask them to make a custom cocktail they never disappoint. Great neighborhood gem.

Yelp
Beautiful space connecting the Vikings Omni hotel. Can be intimate or casual depending on your intentions. There is an expansive wine list that includes some reallly good details on helping you choose your perfect pair. The menu seemed a bit limited but a decent amount of variety. Nothing stood out to me as something I'd like to come back for however. Service was a bit slower than expected but our host was friendly. The short rib was average and the chicken sandwich was also okay.

Yelp
We came here last night on the recommendation of our son and DIL who were here recently and loved it. The restaurant is beautiful and very well laid out. We had cocktails upstairs at Ember & Ice before our dinner reservation. Highly recommend a signature cocktail at this lovely bar. We sat at the bar (after being graciously moved from the slightly wobbly, slightly uncomfortable high top table) and the service was amazing. I had the tavern pizza which was delightful. Hubby had the hot chicken sandwich and that was equally delightful. And as you can see, there were fries for days. Had the vanilla soft serve with caramel and sea salt for dessert. Definitely a little skimpy on the caramel, but still tasty. Beware this restaurant is quite loud. It seems like all restaurants now with high ceilings are very loud so not too surprising.

Yelp
We came here for a late Christmas Eve dinner and had a great experience. While we were waiting, we sat at the Christmas Bar right outside the restaurant, which I definitely recommend if you're here during the holidays. You're even able to bring the drinks into the restaurant! For Dinner, I split the Short Ribs, Scallops & Prosciutto Pizza with two others in my family, and this was enough food for the 3 of us. The Prosciutto Pizza came first and was delicious, however it wasn't really anything special. If you want fantastic and unique woodfired pizzas, I would go to Young Joni. There was enough pizza for each of us to have 2 slices. The scallops were large and flavorful, however for $34 for only 3 scallops felt crazy, since I don't think it filled us up in the slightest. The star of the show were the briased short ribs - a must get if you come here. They were rich and the bok choy was incredible with it. I still think about these. Overall, I think this place and it's upscale yet warm vibe is a great celebration restaurant in the southern suburbs, but nothing for the day-to-day.

Yelp
The pork belly was excellent. They accommodated party of 8 at a high top near the bar! Busy weeknight! Great service

Yelp
My husband and I went here before a MN Aurora game. I made reservations 1.5 hours before the start of the match. We were seated promptly, served water soon afterwards and then our waitress swung by. My husband ordered the Skol Burger and I ordered the Vodka Pasta with meatballs. The food was delicious. My husband was happy with his burger and the fries seemed fresher cut vs. frozen. The Vodka Pasta was great, a nice balance of cream and tomato with just a hint of heat. Pasta was perfectly al dente and the meatballs were delicious. Next time we would ask to be seated at a table vs a high top. Great service and food.

Yelp
It's been awhile since we've been here and it was a good reminder we should go back more often. This last visit was to celebrate our anniversary. It's menu variety makes it a great place for a special occasion or just a casual gathering. We started with the meatballs. It was a substantial starter and very good. I chose the salmon special for my entree and husband had Binchotan chicken. The sauce and veggie combo with the salmon was an excellent complement of texture and taste. Both meals were very good. We finished with sea salt caramel ice cream. Didn't need it but it was so good. Service was excellent. Parking easy. Great anniversary stop.

Yelp
Fabulous service, excellent food and beautiful ambiance. The wood fired pizzas are amazing. We didn't realize there is a patio. Take in the chance to enjoy your meal outdoors. We will be back!

Yelp
Pizza is off the chart here. The toppings are delicious, but I could have just eaten the crust plainly on its own. I had their pepperoni one, the mushroom, basil and the Hawaiian. I have been here twice in the last few months. Yes, I love this place so much I could not wait to return each time. The only downside of it is the location being far from my home..or is that a good thing so I don't spend my whole paycheck here? Haha. I know Ann Kim has several restaurants, but this restaurant just has an easy reservation on Open Table, a large parking lot and very spacious dining area. There is even a spillover bar upstairs but I am not sure if it was part of the Omni hotel or associated with the restaurant. Drinks are superb here and I love love love their pictographic cocktails menu. For entree, the beef short ribs were so good and tender. The meat falls off the bone. It's a must order dish. I also had their lobster pasta and I devoured that dish. I love the fair serving of meat in it. I appreciate that the dish was not drowned in sauce. It was very good, but I still prefer my pasta with a balanced sauce to pasta ratio. Lastly, make sure you get their soft serve ice cream...it is divine. Service was attentive and friendly. Guess what!? I will return in a heartbeat!
google avatar

Yelp
The first two visits I came here I would've given a 3.5 star. I am increasing it to 4 stars due to the consistency of the apps and how I think they are all good each time I come. The Korean ribs The snap peas and fingerling potatoes save the day. The first time I went, the fingering potatoes were very memorable as well. Has a great crispy texture flavored with just the right amount of seasoning. Overall, I'll probably be back!
google avatar

Alonzo A.

Yelp
Wow, now THIS is pizza! One of the best pies I've had. Extremely well made and high quality ingredients. Fennel sausage is straight money. Extremely large restaurant but you better make resos cause this place is busy! Even the bar was fully packed not long after opening time. 20 or so seats around the bar, lots of TV's. Great ambiance and would definitely return. Wish their hours were a bit better, especially as a guest here. But it's all good. I'll be back for some za.
google avatar

Yelp
Drinks were good, but pretty difficult to find a table. Would recommend getting a reservation in advance unless you have time to wait a while. Drinks also took quite a while to arrive, and were pretty light.
google avatar

Crystal B.

Yelp
Very attentive staff had the burger, pizza and two desserts. I would for sure go back for the dessert alone.
google avatar

Samantha B.

Yelp
Kyndred Hearth is located at the Omni Viking Lakes hotel. The restaurant would be great for a larger group dinner. They have a large dining room and also a nice patio that faces Viking Lakes. We had our one year old with us and all of the staff was so friendly and attentive towards him. There were too many good options to choose from and everything we had was delicious! Even the kids mac and cheese was tasty. Our favorites were the gochuchang lasagna and Korean braised short ribs. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes!
google avatar

Summer G.

Yelp
One of my good friends recommended this restaurant to me, she said it was amazing and one of her favorites in the local area. My husband and I came here for a date night. I made reservations the day before on OpenTable - which I highly recommend doing. We were seated immediately upon arrival and found our waitress TJ to be super helpful and friendly. She brought us drinks right away and offered suggestions on the alcohol mixed drinks as well. For our starters we got Meatballs and Broccolini to share. They were both incredibly good!! Hands down would get the broccolini again - I could eat the whole plate myself lol. The red sauce on the meatballs was incredibly tasty - I could tell they make it fresh in-house! For our main meal we were encouraged to get either the pizza or pasta dishes. I chose to get a wood fired pizza that's done in the beautiful copper oven. I added olives to the Hawaiian pizza and my husband added fennel sausage (also made in-house) to his Tavern pizza. TJ shared that due to the thin crust of the pizza at max can only do 4 total toppings on any of the pizzas. So I asked TJ if I could get a side of the mixed mushrooms (because I LOVE) mushrooms and she was kind enough to bring me a generous side portion. Everything was delicious, from the starters to the pizzas, mixed mushrooms side, and alcoholic drinks. I appreciated that TJ let us eat our food too. She wasn't constantly in our faces as we were eating. We'll definitely be back here for more date nights and to try other items on a fabulous menu!!!

Yelp
She did it again! Another great dining spot by Ann Kim. My friend said the Korean chicken sandwich was amazing. I had the Margherita pizza and broccolini. Both superb and worth every penny. The restaurant was GORGEOUS and our server was lovely. Absolutely will be back.

Austin P.

Yelp
This is a must try place. Bite for bite id put this place up against anywhere. Love the vibe of the restaurant during the dinner service. Service from the staff was top notch as well.
google avatar

Jessica W.

Yelp
We really wanted to like this spot.... But it was mediocre. To begin, it was very unfortunate that we were sat at a table that was absolutely not meant for 5 people. It was also wobbly as all hell and not big enough for our group. We were annoyingly shifting and fussing all night in an attempt to try to get the correct angle so the food wouldn't fall off the table. Likewise, every time we were brought an appetizer they acted like they had never seen us before. Equally annoying, none of the food came out warm. Didn't even feel like it was seemingly under a hot lamp. Given the price, the food was okay. We tried many of the wood fired pizzas, which were good, but again, wishing they were warm. The garlic aïoli that came with the fries was the most memorable thing I had tonight. I think if you want a good burger, fries, beer, and a nice ambiance this would be a slam dunk option.

Yelp
A great choice to celebrate my 40th birthday. Order a lot of different choices and share with friends. Staff is always very attentive and friendly. The ambience is romantic and warm and you can dress up or come casual. Big parking lot that you never have to worry about finding a spot. Reservation a few days before highly recommended. Having been here a few times before the reviews from my dinner parties is that the mushroom pizza ranks as our top voted fire pizza. This top chef is female (YAHOO we love to know it!) and has a base via Netflix. Outstanding food. Thank you.

Yelp
Made reservations for a Thursday evening at 6pm. The restaurant is situated inside Omni Hotel Vikings Lake. There were 10 of us and they placed us in a private back room. Our waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable about all the items on the menu. We ordered several items to share at the table- meatballs, mushroom pizza, cheesy bread. Then we all ordered our own entrees. I ordered the Korean fried chicken. OMG so good and worth every bite. As my side I ordered the broccolini. Im not sure what seasoning was on it but it was perfect. I'm going to have to order that exact meal again! After our meals we were stuffed, but we ordered several desserts to share. I tasted the olive oil ice cream, became why not? It was good but not sure I could eat an entire bowl of it. Really had a great meal with great company. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Fiorella M.

Yelp
I had the Hanger Steak and it was delicious. I asked for it medium well- and it was a great choice. I also had a strawberry margarita- well done! The steak had a great balance of flavor and nothing overpowered the other. Service was great! She was attentive to our group, and got along with us well. Ambiance had great low lighting.

Yelp
Chef Ann Kim recipes / pizza at the Vikings hotel ?? While I'm not a vikings fan, it was an awesome experience to have such delicious food at such a cool location - including the surrounding parks and the Vikings training center. The classy restaurant itself did not disappoint, it featured a wider range of options including pasta, veggies, and mains on top of a good list of Ann Kim's signature pizzas. Our servers was also very welcoming and attentive to us throughout the night, she was very knowledgeable in the menu and explained everything well. We had 5 people in our party and ordered 2 pizzas, 1 main, 1 appetizer, 1 salad, and 1 dessert to share and that was plenty for our stomachs. The tavern pizza was one of my favorites, the sweetness of the honey and spicy jalapenos were a surprisingly good pairing with the cheesy pepperonis. We had the Korean braised short rib as a main and while the short rib wasn't quite what I was expecting (classic bone in Korean short rib), it was sooo tasty with the sauce and the bok choy and shiitake mushrooms were great with the sauce too. Not pictured are the chicken liver pate and chopped salad that were both delicious. All the servings were generous and perfectly filled everyone's stomach while being able to experience so many flavors in each dish. To top it off, we tried the soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt as featured on Ann Kim's Netflix special Chef's Table: Pizza, and it was truly a unique combination that I'll have to have again! The olive oil was not too much and it did feel weird eating a spoonful of it, but it paired well with the house made vanilla and sprinkle of salt in every other bite. After dinner don't forget to head to the lobby of the Omni hotel and soak in everything Nordic / viking as the lobby is fun to explore and walk around in. 10/10 recommend and will return!

Yelp
Great atmosphere by the window and terrific food. It's the little things that matter. Simple items were the most splendid. Pasta dish surpasses steak.
google avatar

Drew W.

Yelp
Excellent food with a thoughtful menu! Such a refreshing place to go as opposed to the many chains in Eagan.

Emily D.

Yelp
Spent the afternoon in the spa and then headed down here for dinner. The Skol burger was incredible!!! The perfect ratio of sauce, cheese, beef, onions, and bun! And I don't normally like burgers with sauce. Also enjoyed the mushroom pizza but would only recommend if you like fontina! Our server was delightful and super attentive. Service was quick and she had us fed and out of there fast--which is what we wanted because we all had kids to get home to after a day away! I loved the vibe of this place!

Yelp
Wanted to give it a 3.5 but half stars aren't a thing so I rounded up. Went here for our anniversary dinner. The restaurant is very nicely decorated. Our service was great. Our waitress was always there to refill our water and drinks. The other staff cleared the table very promptly and everyone was very nice. (I forgot to take pictures of the meatballs and burger) Our food Meatballs, appetizer, 4.5/5 They were so soft! You get three. Great amount of sauce and cheese. Could've had a little more flavor. Hanger steak. 4/5 I really liked it! It was very tender and had great flavor. The sauce it came with was good but a little went a long way. I wish it had been a little warmer. I also wish it came with a side. It came with lettuce to make a wrap if you wanted. Skol burger 2/5 My husband did not like it. He said the bun and cheese was great but the burger was over done. French fries 5/5 Amazing. Great flavor. They are perfect! Soft serve ice cream 10/5 Amazing amazing amazing!!!! If you go you NEED to get it. So good.

Yelp
We loved the food the one time we went here BUT it seems to never be open when we are looking for a place to eat! Never open for lunch. Maybe we can go for weekend brunch. No we can't. No brunch or lunch and closed all day Sunday and Monday. I assume it's a chronic staffing issue but frustrating
google avatar

Dan C.

Yelp
Having trouble getting into one of the amazing Ann Kim restaurants? Yeah, me too. Well, I have a little secret for you. If you can schlep out to a hotel in Eagan, you find Kyndred Hearth, a cavernous, sleek and modern Pizza palace. TH-th-there is so much space...th-th-they have some open tables and aren't booked out until 2035???? I joke, but we came here with the kids for an early dinner and walked right in. I am not joking on the size. There is tons of space between tables, in the dining room, there is a large open kitchen you can see from everywhere and a large, spacious bar & lounge, that is definitely on my list to return for drinks. There is a lot to devour on the menu, but we stuck to pizzas. The quality of the pies are just as excellent as her other pizza outposts. Service was on point as well. Oh, and there is a lot of parking since it is a hotel. What this restaurant achieves is all the upside of an excellent Ann Kim pizza place with none of the downside of cramped seating, impossible reservations and nowhere to park.
google avatar

Rosemary F.

Yelp
This restaurant is definitely top 5 fav in Minnesota. For starters, the wings are out of this world just very small so be sure to order a couple orders. The chicken sandwich is absolutely incredible. The coal fire pizza here is amazing super delicious. But it doesn't end there... As far as dessert the Honey cake with vanilla soft serve Ice cream is superb! I ask for caramel and indulge in this melt in your mouth deliciousness! I highly recommend this place just beware the hostess older woman is a bit passive aggressive lol but once you get passed her it won't matter! Make sure you make a reservation
google avatar

Alexis M.

Yelp
This is our favorite date nice restaurant! We absolutely love the Skol burger - it is a mix of sweet with special sauce and sautéed onions and savory with the burger and cheese. The Korean Fried chicken sandwich is amazing as well it's the best fried chicken sandwich we have ever had. It does have a little bit of spice so we ask for toppings on side so I can put the sauce on myself and toppings. The mushroom appetizer is hands down the best mushroom dish I have ever had. We have gotten it 4 times and every time it has been perfect. 100% recommend it!

Nicki K.

Yelp
I consistently love this restaurant! The food and the vibe are always great. My only 2 complaints are that 1-they stopped serving my favorite brussel sprouts and 2-the beer can be warm and flat, which is a bummer always but especially when I paid $7 for a tiny glass.

Yelp
Kyndred Hearth has a large dining room and bar, patio and private party room on the bottom floor of the Vikings Omni Hotel. They also have a great patio with a view of Vikings Lakes. The wood fired pizza by Ann Kim is amazing, we always order the Tavern Pizza, it's a must! The warm olive appetizer is also a great snack, the Caesar and bibb salads are delicious and the Butchers Cut steak is always mouth watering - one of my favorite steaks! There is a large parking lot with plenty of space. Check out Ember and Ice upstairs on the weekends!

Yelp
The burger was hands down the best part of the meal- tasted like the best Big Mac you've ever had! The rest of the food was ok. We were most excited about the pizza based on our experience at Young Joni, but it was a bit bland. Service was great and prompt. It's a bit restaurant with lots of space. It is family friendly but also has a bar area. It is located in the Omni hotel so parking is not an issue

Yelp
I came here because a friend recommended it. It's on the main level of the Omni Hotel near the Vikings training facility. There's a large parking lot with plenty of parking, a friendly greater was just inside the door. We sat down and were greeted by a server fairly quickly. Our server seemed busy so service was a little bit slow. I ordered a margarita and it was AMAZING! Best one I've ever had and probably the best thing I had all night. For an appetizer we ordered the meatballs. They were good. Loved the sauce they were served with. The table next to us ordered the meat and cheese board - that looked excellent. I ordered the pasta with lobster. My husband ordered a salad with steak. (Under the salad options, you can add a meat to your salad, steak was one of the options) Unfortunately, the server thought he wanted the salad with a steak dinner. When she brought the salad out awhile later, there was no steak and no dinner for me. When we asked about the steak, she said "Oh, I thought you wanted the steak dinner." We pointed to the menu where it says you can add steak to the salad and she said that the steak dinner was already being cooked. It was a $23 difference and my husband kindly said he didn't want the entire steak dinner. She said she'd figure something out. Then they brought my pasta out. We sat for awhile waiting to see what they'd figure out with the dinner. After about ten minutes, our server told us that they wouldn't charge us for the full dinner - they'd just charge us for what we ordered. My dinner was good but it had only about 5 bites of lobster and mostly pasta. The steak dinner was pretty good but it was a really chewy Denver steak. The Bibb salad was delicious. When making the reservation, they asked if we were celebrating anything and I mentioned it was my birthday, but when we arrived and through the whole night, no one mentioned it - so I'm not sure why they ask? The ambiance was very nice. The hotel lobby is beautiful. We even spotted a couple vikings players. Overall it was a nice evening! I'd go back for another margarita and to try something else.

Yelp
Ambiance in this hotel restaurant is very pleasing and one of my favorite parts is that you can see the pizza oven and kitchen. This was vitally necessary as I needed some entertainment after Kyndred Hearth ignored their reservation system. Very busy restaurant and made an OpenTable reservation, arrived early but was told that they wouldn't be able to seat me (not a problem). 15 minutes pass after my reservation time and still no luck even after seeing multiple tables open up. Reception was too busy playing on their cell phones to notice I guess. Finally, a nice woman picked up the queues and brought me to a table. Again at the table ignored for 15 minutes but our server, Ashley, handled everything greatly. They need to get her more help as we could see she was taking care of half the restaurant and multiple large parties. Food was mediocre: Meatballs are a little watery and bland Sweet Italian pizza toppings are very nice and packed with flavor, I thought the menu said it came with pepperoni but it was just sausage as the protein Korean fried chicken sandwich has perfectly cooked and seasoned chicken but beware of the buns that are clearly from Costco Strawberry shortcake is complete TRASH; you can have the same experience if you stuff blocks of chalk in your mouth, soooo dry

Yelp
Magnificent space, knowledgeable and friendly service and good food. This was our first time here so I hope to return to try again. I had the mushroom pizza and my husband had the fried chicken sandwich. Pizza was excellent. Sandwich was good. Really enjoyed the vibe and decor.

Yelp
A friend and I visited on a Wednesday evening around 8:15pm. We were seated right away. The restaurant was nice. I like the different designs throughout the restaurant. Our waiter Josh was very knowledgeable and explained the entire food and beverage menu well. We enjoyed the Caesar salad, tavern 20 pizza, and Korean chicken sandwich. All were delicious! The Caesar salad was very tasty, the soy egg was something I've never tried but very good. The tavern 20 pizza was delicious and cooked to perfection. The flavors complaint each other so well. The pizza crust is light and fluffy. The chicken sandwich was also great. Highly suggest not skipping dessert and having the soft serve olive oil ice cream... fantastic! I also appreciate how you are brought new silverware and plates each time. I'll definitely be back to this hidden little gem.

Yelp
Went here again! Everything was delicious, however the pasta was not really my favorite. The fingerling potato's are extremely tasty! I was a little turned off at the end because the waitress just took out plates with food still on it and didn't ask if we wanted boxes... which was a little odd. The service was ok today, she was not really the best.

Yelp
Day 3 in business and we decided to give them a shot. Since we were staying at the hotel, it certainly made sense. We arrived as a party of 2 around 640pm, without reservations. The dining room was full and we opted to sit at the bar. Honestly, we most likely would have opted for the bar either way, as we were planning to try about 6 drinks. We were greeted immediately and, in Omni fashion, by name, frequently. The staff were friendly and appeared to be enjoying themselves, which reflects well in the service provided. Ben was killing it at the bar. I started with an Untraditional Manhattan. If you like a smoked drink, (not everyone does), this one's for you! The presentation was fabulous and the flavor complex. We ordered & were advised that plates come up as they are prepared & may not be together. I moved on to the Smooth Flight (twist on Aviation), creamy & botanical- another hit. The first plate came out here, the lumache, piping hot. We snapped a few shots &, just as the broccolini was placed in front of us, the last dish, hanger steak, appeared as well. Our barkeep approached & noted that I hadn't touched the pasta, which had been there 6 minutes. Now, this was a tip & rating bump because he was clearly paying attention and was concerned. He explained again that plates come out as they are ready, vs as a table, based on their concept. He was worried that the staggered delivery may not have been to our liking. Everything was perfect though. The pasta was firm and made a great vessel for the sauce. There was a nice warmth to it, contrasting the sweetness of the lobster & making it a fantastic choice for a cool night. The broccolini was bright & crisp-tender, salty cheese & a touch of charred lemon balanced it out. The winning dish for us was the hanger steak - the fresh herbs, tangy sauces and tender lettuce wrap - I swear it wasn't that we were rounding drink 3! Which brings us to the Old Fashioned. This was our winning drink of the evening. It was so well balanced &, the kicker was the Vikings symbol in the ice block - genius. I ended by being difficult, and requested a g&t with Hendricks and asked for it smoked. They didn't even flinch - they were even excited to do it. For all the reasons above, I'm dropping a big ole 5!

Yelp
I was attending a conference at the hotel, and I have to say this place far exceeded my expectations for a hotel restaurant. They opened up on a Monday night for us, which they don't normally do, but they were fully staffed and well-prepared for us. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly. I think her name was TJ? Food was great, and I wish I could have tried more menu items.

Yelp
Great food and service. The bar has fantastic drinks too with a journal style menu that shows a blueprint style menu that shouts what they make
