Kyo Matcha exceeded my expectations for soft serve. Based on a friend's recommendation, I visited specifically to try their hojicha flavor, and I was thoroughly impressed. The hojicha soft serve perfectly captured the essence of the roasted green tea, delivering a rich and satisfying flavor experience. I opted for the hojicha float, which was very very good. This summer when the weather is warm I'll be making the drive from DC often for sure. The staff was friendly and accommodating, even offering me a sample of the soft serve before I made my purchase. The matcha cake was excellent, I'm excited to go back!

I’ve been to Kyo Matcha twice now. The first time I tried their strawberry matcha latte and it was delicious! The quality of the matcha was good and they even offered milk substitutions. My second time here, I ordered the Peach Oolong Crepe Cake and the Pistachio Basque Cheesecake. I was not the biggest fan of either of them. For the price, I did wish they were bigger servings. I paid $22 for two desserts. I did not feel like it was worth it but the drink I had was delicious

this cafe is so cute! the boba is okay, but not a lot of flavors. however, there’s a bobapop next door which is connected to this store, so it’s easy to get a different boba flavor you like! the strawberry cake was super soft and sweet!

Love love love this place! This is one of my favorite spots to come, and wind down with a sweet treat! All the food and drinks they offer are so so yummy. My personal favorite is the creme brûlée iced latte and the oolong crepe cake. Soft serve ice cream was also amazinggg. It’s also has a pretty interiors, perfect for a matcha and cake date. Also make sure to use the app to get points, this place is a little pricey!

I love their soft serve especially the combination one. I used to like their matcha chocolate that tasted like Royce chocolate but they are no longer carrying it. I was so sad when they discontinued it. But they always have top tier desserts and drinks so i don’t mind coming again and again for that.

Cute environment and so many dessert options! We went on a Saturday afternoon and there weren’t too many people. Got four drinks. Overall, the consensus was that 100% sweet is too sweet for every drink. The boba makes your drink sweeter as well. Even 50% sweet with boba made the drink a little too sweet. I got the black sesame latte with boba 100% sweet and it was unbearable unfortunately. The matcha is whisked right in front of you, but the milk to matcha ratio makes the drink more milky with a subtle matcha flavor. Maybe their hot matcha is stronger. Hot hojicha latte 50% sweet was good and strong, probably our favorite of the day. Would be back to try desserts and their hot drinks (without toppings)!

Our go to place for when we want treats without the guilt! The portion size is perfect , Matcha ice cream is 8/10 , the strawberry cream cake is 10/10 and the matcha latte is 10/10. Their desserts look really pretty with the perfect amount of sweetness, and you don’t feel heavy or unhealthy after eating them!

Love this little place. I'm a big matcha fan, so I really love the soft serve. I also love that they have other traditional Japanese dessert items like red beans as a topping for ice cream and towel cakes. I keep meaning to try something other than the ice cream, but it's just so good! The shop itself is usually very clean and my only complaint is that I wish they had more seating.
