Kyo Matcha

My absolutely favorite place to grab all things matcha! The soft serves are insanely delicious! Soft creamy and just the right amount of sweetness! The matcha with red beans drink is another favorite!

Have loved visiting Kyo Matcha for various tasty treats over the years, and they consistently deliver quality all around! I also think their location, situated in cozy, charming Rockville Town Square, makes a huge upside difference for the experience, especially in summer, with the kids splash fountains (see pics)! After shopping at Trader Joe's, I casually passed by this shop. As a matcha lover, I was immediately drawn to it. I've loved matcha for almost ten years now, and I've tried many different matcha products in China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. This time, I ordered a Matcha Latte using the self-service ordering machine in the store. I originally wanted it hot, but unfortunately, the machine's screen was very unresponsive, so the order ended up being for a cold drink with less ice. I usually rarely give negative reviews because running a food and beverage business isn't easy. However, this matcha latte was extremely bland; I could only taste the iced milk. If I closed my eyes while drinking it, I wouldn't even think I was having a "matcha" drink . Maybe next time I pass by, I'll try a cake as others mentioned in the reviews, but I won't be trying any drinks again.

We frequent here about once a week! Always great service. The consistency is what keeps us coming back. We usually just get the half/ half soft serve and whatever toppings we are the in the mood for. The beverages are okay I tried a few but nothing worth raving over.

The lids don't seal properly. The packagings are not good for delivery. I wished they look pretty when I gave them to my mother-in-law.

A great spot! It’s connected to the BobaBop milk tea shop, which is a nice bonus. The inside has plenty of seating for dine-in, and it’s located in Town Square, so there’s also lots of outdoor seating with tables and chairs to enjoy the area. The service was fast and friendly, and you can order either through a self-service machine or directly at the cashier. We tried the dessert – an ice cream cone and black sesame mousse cake – both were really tasty!

Our go to place for when we want treats without the guilt! The portion size is perfect , Matcha ice cream is 8/10 , the strawberry cream cake is 10/10 and the matcha latte is 10/10. Their desserts look really pretty with the perfect amount of sweetness, and you don’t feel heavy or unhealthy after eating them!

The cake was so good the shop is so cute and the prices are good too I'll definitely come again... perfect place for matcha lovers like myself
