A costume institute with a small gallery space that showcases well curated themes on dress and fashion history. Most of the books in its research library are obviously in Japanese but I spent a good hour looking at the exhibit. It was informative and had rare and excellent examples of costume and fashion. It is definitely a place to visit for the dress history aficionado.

「服をめぐる　衣服の研究現場より」という小冊子を発行されている。他にも活動はあるだろうが、わたしは冊子を発見した。 歴史衣装をまとう、木綿製ドレス、京都市の墨染め、補修の実例などの記事があった。 2024/10/26　11/3　の両日　京都国立近代美術館1階ロビーで、「服をデザインしてチャームを作ろう」という「LOVEファッション」展ワークシップを主催しておられた。 プリント生地「100ネエサン」にオリジナルドレスのデザインをし、チャームを製作するという内容であった。
