"A meal at this Bella Vista Japanese restaurant means neon lighting, ocean waves murals, and good bowls of ramen. Our favorite is the spicy chicken shio, but they have a decent variety of ramen styles for whatever mood you’re in. The sushi isn’t memorable, so just stick to the noodles the next time you're near the Italian Market looking for something warm. photo credit: NICOLE GUGLIELMO" - Candis R. McLean

Google
Had the classic chicken and it was excellent. Depth of flavor and a great lunch. The service was awesome. The atmosphere was okay but the contemporary radio station was my only knock. Which I’m sure would have been less distracting if there had been more customers.

We came here for lunch with my girlfriends and this place is truly a hole in the wall GEM!! :) We walk in and are greeted and seated immediately by their friendly staff, we looked over the menu and each ordered an appetizer: takoyaki, salt & pepper calamari and Kyushu karaage. They all tasted fantastic! The ramen came out and I couldn’t wait to dig in! By the end of the meal there was nothing left! Highly recommend! Everything was so flavorful and just overall a great ramen experience! I’ll def make the hour drive back for this place again!

Google
The food, decor and service were amazing! A big shoutout to the server (didn’t catch his name) but he is the sweetest and very accommodating! Definitely a must-visit when you’re in Columbus! Try: Garlic Chicken and Spicy Tonkatsu. Their Karaage was excellent!

Noelle Harris

Google
I love their spicy miso and the broth is so creamy and the spice is just perfect. The takoyaki is another one of my favorites from here! I highly recommend if you are looking for a good ramen spot.

Google
I was in town for work so decided to stop by and I was very pleased with the decision. Got Takoyaki and the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen. Both were excellent and tasted fresh. Giving both dishes a 9/10. Service was very polite and quick as well. I would absolutely recommend and go back.

Google
While we did enjoy the food a lot, my daughter found the spicy ramen to be a bit bland for her taste. I thoroughly enjoyed the quality of the food. The staff was very courteous and attentive. Highly recommend!

Google
I just had the most perfect bowl of ramen here. I got the pork tonkatsu ramen. My daughter got the karaage ramen and both had so much meat. The broth was so flavorful. We also had the chashu buns and the gyoza and both were absolutely delightful. 10/10 recommend. Portion was huge too, I couldn't finish my food. I also usually hate eggs, but the egg in my ramen was so delicious and such a great texture.

Google
Everyone was kind and attentive. The food was nice and hot and very flavorful. Great experience I have no complaints

Yelp
This place is great! You can tell the people working there are passionate about the food. The service is quick and friendly and the food is delicious! I got the chashu buns and the yaki soba noodles. I very strongly recommend the buns, they are incredibly flavorful, satisfying, and balanced. This was my first visit and I'm excited to return and try more of the menu!

Yelp
Really nice ramen place! We ordered a spicy tuna sushi roll, pork buns and black garlic chicken ramen. All of it tasted pretty good. I also ordered hot house sake but our waitress forgot that order and we were already done with our dinner by the time she remembered. The atmosphere is cool with a nice Asian theme and cool anime door divider behind the counter. The service was very friendly and fast. The only problem we had was the forgetting the sake as mentioned earlier and not giving us enough napkins. Other than that we had a great experience.

Yelp
We had high hopes for Kyushu based on all the rave reviews. The inside is small. Theres an L shaped bar top where you can watch the chefs prepare food, and about 5 tables across from this area. I'm sure it fills up quickly, however on the day we went for dinner we were easily able to snag a table. The menu is easy to understand, with lots of helpful pictures. We tried the gyoza dumplings, edamame, karaage rice bowl with miso soup, and classic chicken ramen. The dumplings were good, but the edamame were drowning in salt. I enjoyed the rice, veggies and spicy mayo components of the karaage rice bowl, but the fried chicken wasn't good at all. Dark meat (sigh) and way too chewy. It felt like every bit I had to work my way around some tendon. After a few bites of the chicken, I pushed it all aside. I was disappointed as this was supposed to be the star of the dish. The ramen wasn't that great and we left half of it untouched. The broth was bland and lacked a savory flavor. Overall, the food definitely could've been better -- we won't be back.

Yelp
Was craving Red Rabbit (ramen stand outside of Echo Distillery/Cocktail Bar), but they don't deliver. So, after way too much Yelp research, I landed on Kyushu. I don't even love ramen. I just love one specific ramen, and that is Red Rabbit's curry ramen. So, to be fair, I'm probably never going to enjoy a ramen full scale the way other people enjoy it. BUT, I was really happy with my order! I got the spicy chicken tonkotsu ramen, karaage chicken, pan fried gyoza, and harumaki. For me, the star of the show was the karaage chicken- it had a lovely, deep flavor to it and the outside was nice and crispy. I didn't love the mayo-ish sauce that accompanied the chicken and the harumaki- it was really savory and a little smoky, and I found myself wanting something acidic to help cut through the already-savory main dish (ramen). The ramen broth was rich and flavorful, with fun textural additions like wood ear mushrooms, corn, and bamboo shoots. The spice level was pretty subtle- maybe a 3/10, which was actually nice because it didn't overpower the other flavors in the broth. Can't speak to their ambiance or service since I only ordered for delivery, but I am excited to check out the restaurant space!

Yelp
On the most recent visit; the immediate family and I dined in on a Friday night and I tried the fried chicken with the spicy miso ramen as well as the sweet potatoes fries. The chicken had a crunchy panko like coating with the tiniest reminisce of sweetness in the bite which was super unique and pleasant to me. The sweet potatoes fries had some mayo like drizzle with a crispy onion like sprinkle on top accented with green onions. It was pretty good as an appetizer. The service was good and the servers check in regularly and everything was accommodating on a weekend evening for this small ramen bar. I honestly have tried 3 other ramen spots and this has to be my favorite so far.

Kara S.

Yelp
The interior reminds me of the street ramen they have in Japan. There is a bar you sit at or there is a few tables. It's a smaller place. The service was quick and if you sit at the bar you can watch them make all the food! This was a fun experience.

Courtney P.

Yelp
Came here for lunch with 4 others. It was great to eat on a cold. The bowl was plenty of flavors and veggies. I loved the noodles and egg.

Ayush K.

Yelp
This unassuming spot tucked away in a strip mall is a hidden gem! Kyushu Ramen Bar blew me away with their authentic and delicious ramen. I opted for the Kyushu Classic Tonkatsu Ramen, and it was an absolute masterpiece. The broth was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, with perfectly cooked noodles that soaked up every drop. The soft-boiled egg was a delightful contrast in texture and sweetness, while the meat was juicy and tender. The service was incredibly friendly and efficient. I was surprised at how quickly my ramen arrived, but it didn't compromise the quality in the slightest. Whether you prefer the bar seating or a regular table, the atmosphere is casual and inviting. If you're a ramen enthusiast in Columbus Metropolitan area, this place is a must-try!

Thom T.

Yelp
Possibly the best ramen in Columbus. Great, rich, flavorful broths (have tried 4 or so by now). Big portions of noodles as well as the veggies that come with them. Both types of meat are well seasoned and tender. Service is quick and friendly.

Erica Y.

Yelp
I recently went to Kyushu with friends and could not be more happy with our experience. We love ramen and have tried a lot of places and this spot definitely hit the mark. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming and the staff was so kind. I loved their recommendations as it was super helpful to decide which ramen we'd like best. The ramen itself was SO FLAVORFUL and they don't skimp on ingredients! As you can see from the photo, they loaded up the bowl which I loved. If you like a little kick, try the spicy tonkotsu ramen. The flavor was perfect.

Leslie A.

Yelp
Both buns were fantastic. The chicken one was a stand out to me because of how moist it was. We each ordered a different ramen. Mine was spicy miso with extra noodles and hubs had the black garlic w extra egg. It's the most popular one (I think the second one on menu) Both of these were really good Lucky Buddha beer is very light and refreshing The restaurant is small, but nice and cozy inside. Service was also very good. Friendly people. Would come back

Yelp
Kyushu is Japanese for 'a long weekend with friends'. Nah, Kyushu is actually the southern most island of the nation of Japan. It came time to wind down this awesome trip we were on and we needed a place to eat. Seeing as it was Memorial Day and our original destination was closed (North Market), our pilot called the other car and they settled on a ramen eatery. After some back and forth, they found Kyushu was open for business and was ready to fill our stomach's needs. We walked in to a quiet restaurant and quickly spread out at the bar. The waitress brought us all menus and drinks while we poured over the menu. Seeing as it was the last hurrah for the trip, we went all out on ordering appetizers and main courses. I got the Spicy Miso Soup with some Harumaki spring rolls. Emily got the Spicy Tonkotsu Soup and some fried Gyoza. I won't list what everyone else got cause that would be quite the paragraph and also I don't remember what everyone got. Ha. It was fun to watch the main chef cook our meals while also possibly training someone? They spoke Japanese so it was a bit hard to follow what was going on. But again, it was fun to watch them cook and prepare our food. For how large our group was (we picked up Mike along the way), the wait time was comparable to a normal restaurant. The food went down just as fast as the cooks made it. We were all starving. I'm not intimately familiar with Ramen bars due to there not being many around Central Illinois. But I am glad my friends knew they were plentiful around Columbus and suggested we drop in for some. The spicy miso soup was super good but somehow the harumaki spring rolls were my favorite thing ever. We didn't stick around too long after we finished our meal as they were picking up for a late lunch rush... plus we had a 6 hour drive ahead of us. I was thinking about those rolls all the way home and wished we had a place locally that served something similar.

Allison M.

Yelp
Very mediocre ramen. It was so salty. The calamari had so much salt on it we found it to be inedible. Ambiance and service were good.

Yelp
As a Californian, I never thought I'd find my favorite ramen spot in Ohio, but Kyushu Ramen Bar truly humbled me. PARKING: Average-sized small-ish parking lot, but definitely ample space to accommodate the businesses in the plaza. WHAT WE ORDERED: * Mazesoba ramen with chicken chashu and miso soup (you get to choose between minced pork and chicken chashu, and between miso soup and green salad as a side) * Karaage ramen * Spicy tonkotsu ramen * Kyushu classic tonkotsu ramen FOOD: First of all, portion sizes were great! At least compared to a lot of places I've had back home. The mazesoba ramen was drizzled with a sweet and savory sauce which made the noodles super addicting. The chashu, even though it was chicken, was nice and juicy. Miso soup on the side was a nice touch for some moisture in between bites of noodle. The tonkotsu ramens were topped with an ample amount of toppings, and both broths were delicious. For my taste, the spicy tonkotsu wasn't that spicy, but depends on your spice tolerance. But the star of the show: the karaage ramen! I've never seen this at other ramen places, but the karaage was light and crispy, and very juicy and fatty inside - so delicious by itself, but complemented by the carbs and warm broth. This is a must order for me. SERVICE: Servers were very willing to help explain menu items, and very attentive. Food came out SUPER fast! VIBES: It wasn't too busy when we went despite going during a festival weekend, and there were ample tables big enough to fit catch-ups with friends or a casual night out for dinner with family. BOTTOM LINE: Go here.

Elena S.

Yelp
This was our first time at this restaurant, and it was amazing! Everything we got was so delicious, the staff were very attentive and friendly, and it was such a great overall experience. I can't wait to go back!

Lucin Y.

Yelp
This is a really good ramen place! Very authentic all around. I can't wait to come back. The food was flavorful and rich. Our server was super kind, accommodating, and informative about any questions we had in regards of the menu. There is enough sitting, but if ever busy, I can see there being a wait. But that just tells you how good this place is.

Lina L.

Yelp
We came by on a Monday afternoon and they weren't too busy. They have a parking lot which is great. We got the takoyaki which tasted pretty average. I tried the black garlic ramen. The flavor wasn't too strong. We also tried the Mazesoba ramen which comes with either a soup or salad. The staff were extremely nice and friendly. The restaurant itself was spacious and bright! They have a very nice mural on the wall.

Yelp
I've been craving sushi lately, but didn't think to look for a Friday early dinner spot in the Henderson Road area, so I saw I had Kyushu bookmarked, and figured I'd give 'em a try. I am not a ramen fan, but that's never stopped me from trying other things on menus. The interior space is quite small: decent sushi bar seating and a single row of four-top tables opposite the counter. It's nice to watch them cooking, but beware the bar stools are aren't the comfiest. I tried the Chachu Buns, Karaage Buns, and a soft boiled egg side for more protein. The chachu buns were delicious. The pork belly slice is quite thin, so be prepared. Really liked their special sauce. The bun was a big plus, considering the last few places I've tried buns have had no taste, too sweet, or too hard. The flavor profile of that starter was a top choice. Just wish there was a second very tasty slice of the pork belly. Same delish nod goes for the Karaage Buns - warm, juicy Japanese-style fried chicken, the same sauce, just wish the chicken piece was a bit bigger; the flavors were also spot on. I forgot to take a picture, so use your imagination; or look at the other photos :D in case your wondering, their spicy mayo is not hot at all, didn't overwhelm, a great supporting role. I don't know how to do a soft egg Japanese style. Is it soft boiled first, then preserved in a liquid? Whatever, it was the perfect side. I love that the Japanese take on this side does not involve vinegar, salt, sugar, etc. for pickling. My meal was wonderful! I love how Kyushu is on the casual side, and their food is a strong highlight! For $16, quality and price were comparable. I'm keeping this place on my bookmarks - you can bet I'll be back for their buns, hunz!

Nicole S.

Yelp
Don't come to Kyushu if you want delicious food. Don't come to Kyushu if you want affordable food and good portions. Don't come to Kyushu if you want to be served by kind staff members. Don't come to Kyushu if you want to dine in a cozy place with adorable decor. Don't come to Kyushu, so that I can eat all the food to myself. .... in case it wasn't obvious all of this is sarcasm and I'm so jealous of my friends living so close to it. It's amazing.

Sara I.

Yelp
For the location (next to Dairy Queen) and space, they did a great job! The black garlic Tonkotsu was good, the Chicken had a burnt char on it that I didn't care for but you can tell it was in some kind of soy marinade. Also the yolk of the egg was cold, don't understand that but as a ramen it was good. The Karaage had a slightly sweet brothe and the chicken was tender with a breading was slightly sweet as well. The egg also had a cold yolk :/ overall not a bad option for Ramen.

bill m.

Yelp
Great Ramen place. Generous servings of Ramen and other choices like rice dishes, curry, etc. i had Yakodon. Very good and a generous portion. You can't go wrong here if you enjoy Japanese Ramen and other dishes

Shawnie K.

Yelp
Ramen was calling to us for dinner. Decided to get carry out from Kyushu Raman in Grandview. I went with the classic Tonkotsu, not knowing what the spice levels were like. The broth tasted great, but I will probably go with the spicy version next time. Dan ordered the curry Raman which he enjoyed as well. Quick, easy carry-out at a good price point. Nice to see it busy inside at 6:30 on a Monday night.

Jenny R.

Yelp
Haven't eaten all day so hubby asked me what I wanted to eat for dinner, I said ramen so we decided to check this place out. Upon arrival I think we waited about 20 mins bcuz this place was packed! But once we were seated, we were able to order right away and even got our food quickly served. The place was cozy and was clean. The ramen was delicious, they definitely don't hold out on their noodles nor their toppings. Their kaarage chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, so definitely recommend :) So if ur in the area, and u love ramen give this place a try :)

Ryan O.

Yelp
Great Atmosphere. Amazing food selections and loving people. Definitely a place to frequent.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
I've only tried it once through take out. I was not impressed at all. Might give it another chance in person if in the area but won't go out of my way knowing there are other options that I love for ramen.

S R.

Yelp
Excellent ramen and chicken. Friendly service. We enjoyed everything we ordered! Easy parking

Briana S.

Yelp
I went to Kyushu the morning after a night out and it was the best choice! The restaurant is in a little shopping plaza. The sign isn't very prominent when driving by. There is lot parking which is very convenient. When we walked in, there were tables open and we got to pick where we wanted to sit. We were given water almost immediately and had a good amount of time to choose what we wanted. The ramen came out pretty fast and it was delicious! I got the black garlic ramen with chili paste added and it might have been the best ramen I've had in Columbus. The black garlic flavor is amazing, especially with a bit of spice! The bamboo was delicious and the pork belly and egg were cooked perfectly. I will definitely be coming back for more ramen!!

Claire R.

Yelp
Came here around 8 on a Friday night and were able to be seated right away! The server was very knowledgeable and attentive, giving us time to look at the menu but also coming over as soon as we decided. It's a small place, which I loved as we were was right near the kitchen and could smell all the delicious food being prepared. The ramen was phenomenal. So flavorful and each of the toppings were so fresh and good! Definitely come here.

Jocelyn H.

Yelp
Kyushu is one of my favorite ramen spots in Columbus. Everything about the interior design is perfect for the vibes with custom water glasses and Japanese-inspired decor. We were seated immediately and got our food within 10 minutes of ordering. We got the black garlic tonkotsu ramen, curry ramen, karaage ramen, spicy miso ramen, sizzling teriyaki calamari, and takoyaki. The ramen was worth the price, but the appetizers were a little expensive. All of the ramens were flavorful and true to their name, but I wish there was more soup. There were plenty of noodles and toppings--including the protein. Even though the appetizers were expensive, they were my favorites and I would highly recommend them if you can.

Sue D.

Yelp
Great service! Nice ambiance, very cozy and cool decor. The fried chicken app was good. It had a flavor that really stood out that my fiance and I couldn't really figure out.. it was good! Ramen bowl was very flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly. Will definitely be back to try some more menu items. Had a nice Saturday lunch here!

Adam J.

Yelp
Absolutely the BEST ramen in Columbus. This place is legit and authentic. Great service and consistently great food.

Wing Yan K.

Yelp
Soft Shell Crab Burger available for limited time. It pairs with the awesome Sweet Potato Fries. I also got the Honey Walnut Shrimp and I highly recommend. The crispy batter coating with the big and bouncy shrimp, drizzled with mayo dressing. YUMMY

Wendell C.

Yelp
Food was surprisingly good! Food taste very clean and healthy. Service was nice Will visit again!

Mindful P.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, Food is even better. Open kitchen. The food was a lot to eat all at once taking it home as leftovers tasted even better.

Jayme H.

Yelp
The ramen scene in Columbus is really starting to pick up and this place arrived at the perfect time. I'm a regular at Grand Day Cafe next store and noticed Kyushu thanks to the "coming soon" signage they had out front. I made a mental note to check back once they opened and when they did, my boyfriend and I made a point to go. We arrived to a packed house. Every table was taken but lucky for us there were seats available at the bar. The place was decorated nicely with an obvious Asian inspiration with a modern twist. The staff was crazy friendly and greeted the both of us right away. After looking over the menu we decided on the veggie gyoza, the karaage, a bowl of the black garlic tonkotsu for him and the veggie ramen for me. I enjoyed every bite I took. The veggie gyoza was fried and stuffed with yummy veggies with an excellent dipping sauce. My veggie ramen was huge and very filling. I added a bit of chili oil and that really hit the spot. Both of us had nothing but great things to say. There's no doubt that we'll be back. I love that you can order online through their website and that they are Asian-owned! I highly recommend giving them a shot.

Ellen M.

Yelp
Pros: Good location on 5th and walkable for many Friendly service Ramen noodles had nice texture Takoyaki (octopus balls) were different than what I thought, but tasty nonetheless Good variety of ramen options Nice decor Cons: Parking can be challenging $14-$16 is a bit on the high side for ramen in Cbus Dining area is a bit small so if you have more than 4 in your party it may be tricky to be seated all together Slow service, especially on weekend Broth could use more flavor and it didn't taste like tonkotsu Pro tip: Go during a weekday or off hour or allow yourself plenty of time otherwise. Tensuke Express is still the most authentic in the area IMO.

Eve R.

Yelp
We tried Kyushu as take-away dinner tonight and really enjoyed it! We got spicy tonkatsu and black garlic and both agree that the black garlic was where it's at! The egg was perfectly cooked (mmmm...egg goooo). Couple things of note for our takeout order: first time online order got us a 10% discount but there is a $1 convenience fee added on (totally fine with that, but good to share the heads up.) We live just up the road so the broth was still piping hot, which is good. Surprised that more broth wasn't included. It seemed barely enough broth for the noodles. We had ordered two extra noodles, also, but it's way too many noodles to not enough broth. Next time, we will skip the extra noodles or maybe share one. I'd love to have a larger sized broth available because it's soooo freaking good! The to-go order was very well packaged but the broth leaked a tiny bit. Just be careful if you're eating at your desk at lunch or a picnic or somewhere you might not have extra napkins! It also came with disposable chopsticks, plastic spoons and plastic forks. Next time I'm excited to try the karaage because of the other positive reviews! Definitely will be back and wish them well!

Karen X.

Yelp
It doesn't look like much when you walk past, but walking in, there were a lot of cute decorations. There's also a notice sign before you walk in notifying about how they're hiring but currently short staffed. My significant other and I decided to stop in this small-ish ramen shop for Saturday lunch and most of the tables were filled so we decided to sit at the counter. We absolutely loved watching the chefs cook. We were immediately greeted by our servers (I say servers because there seemed to be two separate people going around helping each other out.) One of them was an older white lady who was a little too loud and didn't offer the chefs patience or consideration when talking to them, as the chefs first language isn't english. Anyways, we ordered two Spicy Tonkatsu's and shared a Honey Walnut Shrimp. Both were absolutely delicious. The spice of the ramen was perfect and the umami hit the spot. The toppings on the ramens were on the low side but the flavor was on point. Also, the Honey Walnut Shrimp was so good and definitely one of the best ones I've ever had. The crunch, texture, and FLAVOR was absolutely amazing. 6/5 would have again!! Overall, it was a great experience! I would have done without the server yelling everything next to us (especially when the place is so small so the whole restaurant could definitely hear what's going on.) But I would say this place is one of the better ramen places in Columbus!!

Ya Y.

Yelp
I am a big noodle lover, so I'm very happy to see there are more ramen places opening in Columbus! Overall I enjoyed it~ I would say the ramen broth was a little lighter compared to some other ramen places. However, the chef told us he did that on purpose to make customers get to drink the broth more instead of more water! I also liked the noodle texture~ As a foodie, my camera eats first, and by the time I am done with taking photos, the noodles still stayed firm and bouncy. That's a win haha~ For the appetizers, I liked both dishes. I especially loved the Karaage because it was not only crispy, but also had some Taiwanese style fried chicken flavors (salt, pepper, and a little bit green onion tastes)~ It was very appetizing! The restaurant was nicely decorated, and I liked the wall art & the ramen bar area~

Veronica R.

Yelp
I am so happy we found this place thanks to yelp recommendations for national noodle month. This place is so cute and has such a peaceful vibe. Obviously we ordered ramen which we were told by Tian the broth is made in house! My sister was surprised they had takoyaki since it is rare at restaurants so we ordered that as well. We sat at the bar so we could watch everything get made to order and Mr. Young took no time to make our food right away in a bout 5 minutes. It was steaming hot and delicious. The black garlic ramen was extremely flavorful with the pork and half egg. My sisters karaaga (fried chicken) ramen was delicious too. The chicken was crunchy and tender. The staff including leo was great for conversation as well. They all greeted new customers and still kept us occupied. Towards our leave before 8pm they were starting to pick up. They also told us about the cherry blossom festival at Franklin Park that we will attend now! I can't wait for everyone to try it after they officially open this weekend!

Brent W.

Yelp
Tried Black Garlic Ramen today with a starter of Chashu Bun. These tiny little steamed buns filled with braised pork belly were delicious. This is one of my favorite ramen spots!

Summer L.

Yelp
Kyushu is delicious. Ramen is a bit of a mission for me. It's a balance of the promises they make, the service, atmosphere and TASTE. Three of us went to their soft opening last week and chose some basic ramen bowls. They did fail a bit in not being able to provide 'half noodles'. They explained they had to cook the whole batch because of sensitive timing. That's fine- just put only half in my bowl please - I just gave half to my Hubster. The taste, price and service as a whole was still 5 stars. Kyushu is different from Meshikou Ramen. Kyushu is more classic and probably the best taste combination between ingredients and broth. Meshikou still wins in the mouthfeel of their broth. Kyushu won in taste for me. Thanks Kyushu! We will be back. I'll update the review as I try new flavors.

Christin W.

Yelp
Visiting from Wisconsin without a vehicle and was starving after flying in. Found this gem on Uber Eats and didn't hesitate to order. Order was delivered quickly and the warm ramen broth was just what I needed. Their Black Garlic Tonkotsu broth was full of flavor and the pork was tender and juicy. Excellent portions of ingredients. This egg lover should've added extra egg because it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Chashu Bun (2 pcs) was a bonus! Fluffy, airy bun with the perfect amount of fresh crunch. My only wish was I had more of the sauce to dip them in. Highly recommend!

Navapat K.

Yelp
First time at Kyushu, I'm not a big fan of noodle but rice and I saw that the restaurant has rice and I wanted to give it a try after reading so many negative review, I just want to cheer them up but today when I got my food I have to say that all the reviews were right. One thing, it's expensive! I saw a picture of rice bowl and I assumed that might be the one that I'm going to get but it wasn't. I ordered pork chachu bowl, $12. There was A LOT of rice, the rice wasn't soft at all, felt like it's been reheat so many times and I only got THREE (3) thiny slices of pork! You can zoom in! It would be gone in one bite but I cut into small pieces so I can have more bites with a lot of rice. I'm not sure about the taste because I only taste rice.. Salad dressing was okay. I want to try something else but I think it will be the same...

Yelp
I ordered take out here at Fukuryu Ramen completely dropped the ball multiple times. The atmosphere is very cool - a bit kitschy and abundantly warm. The service was warm, too. The manager (owner?) went out of his way to say hello and he brought my bag of food to the bar where I was sitting when it was ready. The ramen was excellent, with the noodles having a good chew. The fried chicken was chewy - I will not be ordering that again.

Yelp
Another great 5th Ave Spot. Chicken Karange is probably the best in the city and they definitely give you your moneys worth. The spicy TONKATSU RAMEN had the right amount of spice, seasonings, flavor, tender pork with beautiful grill marks, and scrumptious noodles. The lychee soda had an awesome floral taste and the bottle was unique with a little surprise built in the bottle for fun. Solid spot and can't wait to go back to try other menu items!

Yelp
The space is great! It's small and cozy, and I sat at the bar to save a table for a larger group. Service was quick and super friendly. I ordered the veggie pan fried gyoza which was very flavorful, I just wish it had more crunch. For my ramen, I ordered the pork shio which was so flavorful! There was pork, egg, nori, fish cake, kushroom, bamboo, qnd bean sprouts. I ate every bit of it. The noodles were cooked well, I just wish they were thicker as they looked almost like angel hair pasta. Overall a very positive experience especially for my first time here. I was looking for a quick dinner and this was perfect. I arrived at 6pm on a weeknight and wad the only person there for just a few minutes; other diners came soon after and by the time I left there were a few groups there, so it seemed like going on a weeknight was a good thing to allow for quick and friendly service.

Yelp
So happy this little ramen place opened up right in Grandview! The inside decor is so beautiful. The staff is very welcoming and sit you immediately. Started off with the vegetable gyozas and spring rolls. I highly recommend both of these. The apps came out very quickly and were super warm and fresh. For ramen, we got the spicy chicken ramen and the vegetable ramen tofu with extra spice. The broth is SO delicious and savory. The ramens have lots of options to customize them. Overall I am so glad this ramen restaurant opened up in grandview. They have made a regular customer out of me! Highly recommend.

Yelp
Kyushu is our absolute favorite ramen in all of Columbus. Nothing matches their noodles! The black garlic and classic ramen are our two favorites. You also cannot go without trying their gyoza (the dipping sauce is out of this world). Service is great and very quick! I highly recommend sitting at the bar to get the full experience. The restaurant is fairly small so may not be amenable to larger groups during busy hours. We have always been able to find seats at the bar for 2-3 people. Price is also very reasonable for the amount of food and quality!!
