L'Acino

"In the heart of the Roman quadrilateral, in this characteristic and friendly restaurant the traditional Piedmontese cuisine is honored. The specialties include: stuffed onion, vitel tonnè, agnolotti and tajarin, tripe and stracotto. Among the desserts, the bonet and hazelnut cake with zabajone are not to be missed. They have few tables, so we advise booking." - Michelin Inspector

Excellent meal, restaurant looking very simple but the food is exceptionally good and the service is warm and efficient. We ordered the zucchini flower gratin, roast duck with potatoes and side salad. All were expertly prepared. We'd def dine here again when we next visit Torino.

It’s our 4th visit to Turin. We tried each and every time to reserve a table at L’acino but it was always full. Today we were lucky to get a table (probably because of the summer extra tables outside). We started with stuffed zucchini flowers with fresh ricotta and parmigiana. It was a perfect dish melting in our mouths. We continued with gnocchi with cheese sauce which was like soft clouds. We had a desert of baked apricot with chocolate - simple but perfect. The owners were so kind and friendly and the Barolo 2015 made the whole evening just perfect.

the best restaurant in torino!!! the service is spectacular, patricia and her husband are so warm and friendly. the food is SPECTACULAR!!! I ordered the tartare and the duck. the duck simply melted in the mouth. i can’t wait to return and try more dishes. already recommended this restaurant to my family. it was so nice to see locals but also how accommodating they were to tourists and speaking multiple languages. to reserve, just call or message them on whatsapp. you will not want to miss the food here.

We had the most fantastic human and culinary experience in this typical yet modern Piemontese restaurant ! The food was absolutely delicious and original and the service was amazingly nice and professional. What a fantastic team Nadia, Patrizia and Angelo make !!!

A lovely experience with beautiful food. I love the fact it's run by a couple who are clearly passionate about food and their heritage. I'm a real big fan of small eateries that serve 15 odd tables. Food came out quick and of excellent quality , noise level low and calm, and a cosy "mom and pop" shop vibe.. probably the best Panna Cotta I've had my entire life. I am a huge fan and I wish this place all the success.

We LOVE this cute restaurant run by the family. We made a reservation 2 weeks ago just to make sure we could dine here during a brief visit in Turin. What a joy! Service is warm and impeccable. Food is amazing. We absolutely recommend anyone to come here when you are in town. The experience will blow you away.

Couldn't recommend it highly enough! We were lucky enough to get the last table without reservation and since the moment we were seated it was just an amazing evening with great food, great service and great atmosphere. The owner himself was serving us and he couldn't have been nicer. Not just paying attention to us to see if everything is ok but also explaining to us about the cheeses on the cheese plate and in which order to eat them to get the best experience. We had ravioli, pork shank, pork stew and plate of cheese for starters with some local wine and everything tasted amazing. It's not cheap, but the quality is worth it - I don't feel like we overpaid. We've visited several restaurants in Turin during our time there but L'Acino definitely is the best one that we dined in.

Great service - we had a first course at another restaurant, but the enthusiasm and hard work in this restaurant preceded what was our best food experience in Italy thus far. We’re glad we skipped the first restaurant to go to L’Acino. Really recommend the peach dessert and believe me when you have to order the wine that goes with it. We bought a bottle of it to bring home with us afterwards.

Yelp
The food is just amazing. The service by his owner Angelo and his wife and Nadia es out of this world. Great flavors and prices. Best atmosphere and just a place to that give you the best taste of Torino. 190% recommended.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful dinner experience: the antipasti were delightful. The stuffed onion is incredible. The main courses (secondi) were prepared with obvious attention to quality ingredients and slow cooking time. The straccotto (beef stew) was one of the best I've ever had, tender and delicious, and lean. The baked pear for dessert, with a red wine reduction, was exquisite. The owner is patient and generous with his time, and offered guidance on their (vast) wine selection, the result being a lovely Barbaresco that accompanied our dinner. Definitely going back on next trip to Turin!
