"This two-Michelin-starred restaurant is situated far from the crowded alleyways of Capri, in the greener and more residential Anacapri, where its backdrop is the semi-hidden Capri Palace, one of the island’s most luxurious hotels. Here, a large, elegant drawing room is the setting for Italian cuisine with a particular focus on Campania, with dishes which are occasionally reinterpreted with a modern twist and always brightly coloured and full of flavour. A real pleasure for the palate, with primi that are truly exploding with flavour (such as the eliche pasta with rock fish and the risotto with a Neapolitan ragu), chef Andrea Migliaccio’s cuisine is accompanied by impeccable and professional service." - Michelin Inspector

Dining at L’Olivo was far more than just a meal—it was a refined, elegant experience from start to finish. The service was, without exaggeration, the best I’ve ever encountered. Every tiny detail was anticipated before we even had to ask, handled with warmth, grace, and precision. The setting is equally unforgettable—gorgeous views that elevate an already incredible culinary journey. Each course was beautifully presented and flawlessly executed, a true reflection of the restaurant’s 2 Michelin stars. If you’re visiting Capri, this is not just a recommendation—it’s a must. L’Olivo sets the gold standard for fine dining.

This is a 2 star Michelin restaurant and unfortunately didn't live up to expectations. The service was between good and average depending on who was serving. I chose from the a la carte menu: I had a tomatoe soup for entree - €75 Essentially tasted like blended tomatoes 🙄 I had the black cod for main which was nice - €90. But, unfortunately, I’ve had better elsewhere. My wife was unwell due to some food poisoning the day before so she asked for somwthing very simple. They served her chicken with brocoli and potatoes. The chicken wasn't seasoned, my 8 year old could make something more interesting. The potatoes saturated in butter. Fair enough this wasn't part of their menu but we felt like it was thrown together without any care or consideration. Finally, the seating is a little interesting. Half the restaurant is table and chairs as you might expect. The other half is sofas and armchairs which is quirky but impractical. The sofa is also a 2 seater sofa that could potentially be shared with the next table, and with not a lot of space inbetween. Overall, not overly impressed and wouldn't ever go back.

We had a wonderful dinner here! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was good. However, we are well aware of places that are known for their exclusivity and fame, but coming from a Swiss Chef and a Pastry Chef’s perspective, and having visited other Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, we felt the prices were unfortunately too high for the components and portions of the dishes we received. The pricing felt like a shot in the dark, which caught us off guard in a very unexpected way.

Dining at L’Olivo at Anacapri was nothing short of an exceptional culinary experience. From the moment we stepped into the elegant surroundings of this Michelin-starred restaurant, we were enveloped by a sense of refined luxury and genuine warmth that set the tone for the evening. The ambiance is a perfect blend of modern sophistication and island charm, providing a tranquil backdrop to what would become a memorable gastronomic journey. The experience began with a warm welcome from the staff, who immediately made us feel at home. As we were seated, we were introduced to our server, who provided a detailed explanation of the menu. Chef Migliaccio’s passion for his craft is palpable in every dish. His commitment to sourcing the finest local ingredients and transforming them into culinary masterpieces is evident in each bite. Each course was meticulously crafted, with flavors that were both complex and harmonious. The dishes were not just food but a work of art, each beautifully presented and with a story that spoke to the region’s rich culinary heritage. The standout dish was undoubtedly the blue lobster, paired with a delicate citrus emulsion that highlighted the freshness of the sea. Every course was a delightful surprise, showcasing Chef Migliaccio’s creative genius and deep respect for traditional Italian cuisine. The evening was further enhanced by the expertise of Vincenzo Riccio, the sommelier. His knowledge of wine is nothing short of extraordinary, and his ability to pair each course with the perfect wine was truly impressive. Vincenzo guided us through the wine list, which featured a stunning selection of both local and international wines. His recommendations were spot on, each glass perfectly complementing the flavors of the dishes without overpowering them. The service throughout the evening was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and always delivered with a smile. The team at L’Olivo ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless, from the timing of each course to the seamless wine service. In conclusion, dining at L’Olivo is more than just a meal; it’s an experience that engages all the senses. Chef Andrea Migliaccio’s culinary artistry, combined with the expert wine pairings by Vincenzo Riccio, made for an unforgettable evening. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to indulge in some of the finest cuisine Capri has to offer, L’Olivo is a must-visit destination. We left the restaurant not just satisfied but truly inspired by the incredible craftsmanship and passion that goes into every detail.

This is a 2 Michilin star restaurant. We did not try the set menu and we chose from menu. The pasta with lemon is outstanding and highly recommended. The rest of the food is above average but nothing like the pasta with lemon. It was nice that they brought a cake for us as we are celebrating our anniversary. The service and ambience is outstanding. It’s worth it if like Michilin star restaurants.

One of the best dining experiences my husband and I have had not only on Capri, but in all of Italy. The live music was an amazing touch, the ambiance of the restaurant and view was perfect, not to mention the obvious: the food. The food was absolutely incredible. We had the tasting menu. The flavors in each dish were well balanced. They accommodated no problem for my being a pescatarian. The portions and spacing of dishes perfect as well ( my husband and I have found sometimes at michelin restaurants we leave a little hungry or the meal was too long- this was not the case here). They even surprised us with an extra dessert as we were celebrating our 1 year anniversary. The staff was kind and welcoming. Also I now think every restaurant should have a water menu. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, I would travel back to Capri just to eat here again.

Google
Two star Michelin and well deserved. The food and service were fantastic. We tried the tasting menu and the signature dish was the best thing on it as you’d imagine. Pasta with lemon ricotta and raw shrimps! Everything else was outstanding … it truly was a journey from start to finish.

Absolutely incredible! One of the best dining experience of my life. We visited on our honeymoon a couple weeks ago and were so impressed. We had high expectations for this two Michelin star establishment and they absolutely blew us away with the quality of food, the staff's hospitality, the delightful ambiance, and their old fashioneds (a must try). The linguine with shrimp was our favorite dish, it literally melts in your mouth, but we thoroughly enjoyed everything. What really made the experience is the restaurant manager Giuseppe went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and had our fill of food and wine, even brining out a delicious cake after overhearing we were on honeymoon. Can't recommend this place enough and look forward to visiting again next time we're in Capri.

Yelp
Gosh, the worst meal of our trip! We expected it to be one of the best given the venue & 2 Michelin star rating The view is spectacular especially at sunset. But the service and food fell short. The service was atrocious. Empty glasses, crumbs, unfilled water and wine glasses were left for long stretches of time. Had to ask for the check 4 times before it being brought over. We chose to dine at a fine restaurant for the service, this was really bad and upsetting. The food was inconsistent in terms of quality: my husband and I did the tasting menu and our food was cooked differently and was not that great. We've had better meals at takeout parlors! Overall would not return nor recommend, and this really dampened our view on the Palace Hotel as a result.

Yelp
This place is a must stop for any creative food lover and anyone looking for a more unique experience than the tourist fare that much of Capri has to offer. I was surprised to see poor reviews of this Michelin starred restaurant on Yelp, but wanted to check it out with my husband. We made a reservation online several weeks before our trip, but outside of peak season, you may be able to just walk in. The restaurant is in Anacapri inside of a hotel - you can take a cab, bus, or if you're very brave, maybe walk (though when we asked about walking no one recommended this saying it may be too dangerous & strenuous). We were starting with complimentary champagne and a very extensive (read: many pages) water menu (sorted by mineral level). The service was fantastic and each individual seemed to have a separate role from the individual who seated us, to the individuals who consulted on the menu, and a sommelier. A lot of attention to detail here! The wine list is even more extensive, plus a separate mixed drink list. We opted for the chef's tasting with 5 courses (there is also a 7 course option). You pick the 5 courses from a list - the full list contains 7 options. There was complimentary breads (a separate bread cart and bread expert to share about the various options and which may go best with your meal), and the starter was a cuttlefish with pea soup. Our favorite courses were the pasta (outstanding, who knew that's what pasta should taste like?!), the pork belly (normally I'm hesitant because it can tend to be a bit too fatty, this was amazingly crisp and delicious), and the dessert course (there were many, many deserts that were presented to us as compliments). The chef came out and greeted everyone in the restaurant as well. Overall, an amazing experience - if you're in the area and in search of amazing food and delicious quality service, this is a spectacular option.

Yelp
Would be a 5 only downfall was waiting for my check 30 minutes and not getting the candy bag at the end. Zero awareness in that regard. But yea good delicious, service was elite. But realizing we're done would have been better

Yelp
My husband and I came here to celebrate our honeymoon. We were in love with Capri palace and how beautiful the hotel is. The rooms are spectacular with the decor and so clean! We had lunch on the terrace and that was to die for you have to try the insalate de mar. For dinner we tried l'olivio and we're greatly disappointed. The service was top notch, staff was so friendly and accommodated your every request we were so happy with the service. The food was horrific we ordered the raw seafood and were served basically seafood slime. The pasta dishes were too creamy and the seafood so salty I couldn't even taste it. I didn't want to send it back because I was so disappointed with the meal I feared what they would've sent out. They tried to make normal meals into trendy sophisticated dishes but took away from the flavor and it just wasn't a good mix of food overall. It was very pricey so definitely not worth the money.

Yelp
Excellent fine dining experience with stellar views located in the Capri Palace Hotel. Choose between 5,7,or 9 course tasting menu...or a la carte. The five course was substantially filling with a wine pairing chosen by our sommelier. They have an extensive water menu as well. At the end our our meal we were given printed menus of our experience. What a nice touch and remembrance of hubby's birthday. Service was impressive!

Yelp
We went here on our honeymoon, excited to try a 2 Michelin Star restaurant. We've eaten at 1 Michelin Star establishments before and have had some of the best food of our life. L'Olivo had some of the best service I've ever had in a restaurant. They constantly were checking on us, refilling our water and pulling out our seats when we went to the restroom. Either they are very well trained or the staff was just bored because at 8pm on a Friday night, there were only 2 other tables of people in the whole place and it completely lacked energy. Unfortunately, we did not love any of the food. The risotto was undercooked and bland, the lobster was inconsistent where some pieces melted like butter and others were very chewy and fishy. The linguine with scampi was very rich, but the shrimp (which I think were raw) seemed odd paired with a creamy buratta cheese. The desert tray that they brought out had some of our favorite parts of the meal on it, but even they were hit and miss. I will say that given the amount of food you get and it's Michelin status I don't think the prices are too expensive, we just wished the food was better. So far in Capri, I'd say you're better off getting some rustic food at a small, hole in the wall. Oh - also halfway through our meal a woman wearing glowing shoes and a lit up accordian started singing. She then made her way into the restaurant and despite her talent, the whole get up felt cheesy for a fine dining establishment.

Yelp
Simply put, incredible. Cuisine, service, ambience, all top notch.
