Small cute shop located inside the L stop. There isn't a lot of seating and of there's a long enough line it will back out into the station. The food and coffee is great though and the service is fairly quick. Definitely one of the better cubanos that I've had. Weather permitting there is outdoor seating as well.

One of my favorite coffee shops in the area! I love their jalapeño bagels with cream cheese! The service is so great. I had feedback on something and they took it well! They even welcomed it because they said they want to grow from it. I always come in for a cafe con leche with a jalapeño bagel with extra cream cheese! Sometimes I mix it up and get a morning bagel in a jalapeño bagel and it is so delicious. I just love the taste of the cream cheese with tomato and cucumber. Their soup is also so good. Today I got their turkey melt and broccoli soup and I loved it. The sandwich is huge and the soup is nice and thick. The veggies in the sandwich are so fresh too. They usually have a line out the door but they move through it pretty quickly.

🔥 I recently kicked my coffee habit — but of course, I picked up a new vice: the London Fog Latte with zero-sugar vanilla. And let me tell you, Jumping Bean makes the best one in all of Chicago. I’ve tried them across the North Side, West Side, Deep South, and East — nobody touches the flavor and balance they serve here. This one’s pure perfection in a cup. ☕

Cool lil place! I get off at the Damen station and transfer to the 50 bus almost every day so I figured why not try the coffee here. The crew were friendly and knew a good majority of their regulars. I ordered the mocha almond delight hoping it wouldn’t be too sweet and zero coffee but it was a good balance. 10/10 would def stop by again.

Used to go here for years until I moved. The last couple of times I've visited and gone here admittedly I have not enjoyed their coffee at all but the pastries are still good and they vibe is top notch, just be aware that they coffee has become more of an acquired taste.

Great iced mocha and a variety option of milk for non-dairy people. Good breakfast pastries. Their croissants, apple danish, and cranberry muffin are really good!! Some mornings there might be a line, but they are pretty fast.

This place is very cute and affordable, much like the east side jumping bean. However it's pretty small so this is more of to go affair. They do however have a nice outdoor area for hanging out. The service is good. This isn't like a Starbucks though, so it's more casual and usually a little slower but not bad. I am worried about them being in a cta station as the cta has screwed over a lot of small buisnesses inside their stations but hopefully this place will be around for a while

Great service and amazing staff! It was a busy Saturday morning, however the staff were very professional, patient, and welcoming. A Gem in the community.

I used to love this place. It was my hidden gem forever. It's always busy which is great for them and I don't mind waiting when it's packed. However, I came in today with my child, who absolutely loves the morning bagels, and there was two cops that had just placed their order before me. The barista said, I will be with you in a second after 1 minute of waiting while he was taking to the kitchen staff. I didn't mind, again. But then proceeds to make the cops drinks before even taking my order. It was a weds morning and absolutely no foot traffic for him to keep me waiting to take my order. I would of waited patiently till he got to my drink. But the mere fact that he saw a pregnant woman with a child and keep us waiting to even take out order infuriated me. I'm sorry, but can you multi task? I simply walked out when he was asking how to make a drink. I get it- he might be new, but seeing a customer waiting & watching you make drinks and not taking our order? Get a new job. This coffee shop is not for the slow.

I was in the neighborhood and decided to get a quick bite and drink from this place and it was pretty solid. I had a mocha latte and banana muffin and both were pretty tasty (and filling). The staff is very friendly and they also played some pretty great music :) People should def take the time to breath a little from their busy schedule on the train and sit for a couple of min here with a nice coffee (this place is located inside the Damen pink line station).

I've found it!!! The best coffee in the world (or at least where I've tried lol) I stopped here on a whim because I was going somewhere nearby and wanted a cup of coffee. This place is tiny but they had a line out the door! Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. I had a breve which is espresso, milk, and sugar - it was amazing!! It tasted like chocolate but I didn't add any. I looked at the bagged coffee and it had notes of chocolate. I bought a bag of beans and brought them home back to Cleveland and I've been drinking it since I came home. Thankfully they sell the beans online so I'll definitely be ordering some.

THE BEST coffee I had while in Chicago. And definitely going to be my go-to whenever in town! The coffee shop is pretty small so there is very little counter seating by the window. But there is a pretty big outdoor space that has seating. Ginger Turmeric Almond Milk Espresso Latte - Very lightly sweetened and the perfect amount of that ginger burn. I could drink this EVERYDAY. It's perfection. Mexican Chocolate Espresso Latte - The perfect blend of sweetness and slight bitterness. The espresso here is so smooth and delicious. Probably one of the best espresso I've had in the states. (I drink a lot, a lot of coffee) Prices are super reasonable. Service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful.

Love this place ! I come every few days to get a coffee but today I came in with a last minute huge order for my office and I felt so bad because it was like 8am and they did it with no problem or complaint even when I kept apologizing. The guy who helped me was great and the order was correct. I really recommend !!

This is a very small cafe right next to the Pink line station. You line up at the door inside the train station and you exit through the other door on the other side. The line wasn't too long when I was there. They have a moderate amount of food and drink options. I had 'L' Cubano sandwich which was a big portion for the price. It has real pork and some lunch meat. Quite delicious! The espresso (single shot) with some creamer was ok. It looks like the nice coffee mugs that they've posted here in 2020-2021 are for sale and not used in the store. Seats are limited. The outdoor seating area is not available now during winter. I saw many people take their food to go. Parking looks tricky lol

This place may slip off your radar if you're not going to be anywhere near this neighborhood, but this was a fantastic spot for coffee and breakfast sandwiches! I was happy and surprised that they were open on a Sunday at 7AM. This place actually connects to the entrance of the Damen train station. This place seems quite popular with the locals, as the line was 10 people deep. The line actually moves pretty quickly, especially if youre just ordering coffee. I don't drink coffee but I was told that their thai iced coffee and cold brew were both fantastic. The Bagel lox sandwich was pretty good! The bagel and fresh veggies were the best part, as it felt refreshing Ina fairly warm morning. I like how uniform and symmetrical all the slices of stuff were cut. There was just the right amount of cream cheese for taste and not feel overloaded. The bagel had a great chew. The salmon stood out but blended well with everything else. The Cubano had a crispy flakey baguette of an outside. The meat and cheese are melted cause they use a toaster oven and not a panini press. The sandwich is good, but I personally needed to add some additional mayo and mustard to moisturize the thing. The Focaccia sandwich with the salami and peppers had a strong Italian feel. The focaccia was soft like mattress topper foam. The meat and peppers were quite potent!

Conveniently located at the Damen Pink Line.My FAVORITE is the Cuban sandwich with a latte.I come thru here alot.I live nearby and take the Pink line to work all the time.Whenever I wake up late or am just too lazy to make breaksast Cafe Jumping Bean ALWAYS has my back.Their lattes are delicious.Never fail!!! Much better than Starbuck's,Dunkin' Donuts or Mcdonald's!!!! HANDS DOWN!!! Highly recommend.Yes,eating here is an option.They also have an outdoor pation for the warmer months.

This is some of the best coffee I've ever had. It's rich and flavorful. The specialty drinks are the perfect amount of sweet that doesn't overpower the coffee. My favorite is the Choco Espresso, but they're all good. I always get a bagel too, and it makes for the perfect start to my morning. Seating is a bit cramped, only about 6 seats near the window. But if you do get a seat, it's a pleasant place to just enjoy your coffee. The playlists are always on point and the people are super friendly.

One of the reasons why I really love living in Pilsen is because of spots like this. These little independent coffee, shops and sandwich, shops and restaurants are located all over this community. I really hope that it remains this way, and that it is not gentrified to the point where it just looks like everywhere else. This particular café is about four doors down from my house. When I tell you I love this place, I am not exaggerating. Javier who may be the owner...I'm not sure because he is always there...is super friendly and amazing. All of the staff is very helpful and friendly and they all take turns making sure no one is really waiting too long to get their order taken. Even when I am walking my dog and I want to stop for a coffee they are really cool about letting my very tamed pup sit next to me while I wait for my drink. This place is a neighborhood gem with not just coffee but also good sandwiches. On the weekends I'm either here or at another local gem that is one block away getting something to eat. This establishment is actually inside of the CTA station so it's nice and warm if you have to wait outside the door. This place is excellent so often times the line is definitely long but it is worth the wait.

First coffee spot I visited while in Chicago and I loved it! I came back a few times and visited the other location. Service was great! Fun vibe , knowledgeable people and community folks ready to give you tips. My matcha was so good I didn't want it to end. My friend had this almond sweet type drink that he ordered 3 times. My partner tried hot chocolate and Chai another time. We kept rotating drinks. Only one drink wasn't good but it's a matter of taste, I think it was beetroot... But anyway, do yourself a favor and visit this spot. It'll be your new addiction.

If I could give zero stars I would. I've been here 3 separate times and gotten different coffee drinks--always acidic and bitter. Either the staff wasn't trained on how to brew drinks correctly or they use the cheapest coffee beans out there. For expensive coffee, Starbucks is better. Quality was so substandard that it made me make a Yelp account just to review. Edit: Owner sent a petty message because of review. Both this location and 18th st location, have consistently given me acidic coffee. Acidic coffee is a result of over brewed beans or cheap beans. Which is a shame considering the prices here mirror other expensive coffee shops like Starbucks, but they are outperformed in quality by these mega chains. I wanted to love this place but like the owner, the coffee is just terrible.

Love this place! Their chicken salad sandwich is THE BEST I've ever had. It's always good, I've never had a bad one and needed to finally write this review. Great coffee and options too. They are quick and kind. This is a great stop, especially the convenience of it being in the station. Keep in mind the kitchen closes at 2pm, at least last I was aware, so don't miss out! It's a small location with limited bar-type seating so if it isn't busy, you can likely snag a seat. Solid neighborhood staple.

I just moved to the area and take the pink line to work. Today I woke up earlier than usual and felt like treating myself cause why not so decided to take some time and get myself a morning treat. It is small, but still has space to sit down and it has that amazing coffee shop smell even below the train. It's kind of amazing how different the ambiance is from inside to outside. Got myself a hot matcha and a chocolate croissant. The croissant was very flaky, but the chocolate was a bit more melty than I'm used to. Still great flavor. The matcha though was one of the best matchas I have ever had! Might start treating myself more because of that.

I love coming here for my weekend coffee and bagel. The service is quick and the staff is welcoming. My favorite is their chocolate espresso drink and their pastries are also yummy. There are a few tables available to sit along the wall. It's typically pretty busy so a table may not be guaranteed. This is a Pilsen staple.

"L'Cafecito Jumping Bean" is located inside the CTA Damen Pink Line station. It's tiny, but they manage to squeeze about six (6) high stools against the windows. In case you're there for an extended period of time, outlets are available underneath the seats. I saw a patron who had his laptop out and working. Indeed, it's dining-in friendly if you were to stick around. I went for the simple kind of coffee this afternoon, Americano. Prices are pretty reasonable, considering I have had basic, plain coffee for much more elsewhere in the city. The medium-sized Americano is $2.75 (as of 04/22/2017). Don't forget "L'Cafecito Jumping Bean" is attached to the "L," diagonally across from Harrison Park, and near the Mexican Museum of Art, so the location is as prime as it can be. They also serve made-to-order focaccia sandwiches and other pastry items, such as croissants and muffins. I don't know how much the rent is, but based on how much traffic going in and out the station I hope they have done well for the past four (4) months. The only coffeeshop tenant that I have seen survive inside the "L" station is D*nk*n D*nuts. Com'on, man! Let's bring in some local businesses!

I wish I could go here every single day. I get the morning bagel on a Jalepeno bagel. It's so good and so fresh. I also have gotten multiple drinks and it's always good. Lastly, customer service is great. I was already typing this review and unfortunately have to add a side note. **The girls have amazing customer service. The guy with glasses that works there could use some work. He's a little bit rude and always seems irritated. Today he called out my drink order and I was about to go for it and he called it again. I smiled at him and reached for it and he just gave me a blank stare and turned around. Awkward. Other than that, it's all been amazing experiences at this place.

I try to get an iced chai from here in the mornings before I hop on the train. I prefer their chais over Starbucks-- so authentic and fresh! If I'm running errands on Sundays with some friends, I'll try to grab one as well. The service is always super fast. I've yet to try their croissants, but my friends have told me their baked items are good!

During this craziness of #quarantineddiaries we decided to walk our pup around the neighborhood and to our surprise we just kept walking and walking to finally reach L'Cafecito. We had heard such great things about it and they weren't wrong. I had a regular Iced americano with half n half and sugar free vanilla sugar #ketolife and I LOVED ITTTT it was perfectly balanced and the espresso shots were not overly strong like other americanos. It implements the cream and vanilla perfectly. The red velvet donut was ok, nothing special but the CREAM CHEESE DANISH WAS TO DIE FOR. I can probably say it was the best cheese danish i have ever had! It was toasty crunchy on the outside and perfectly warm and gooey in the center. I would go back over and over just for the danish. No lie! This place is a hidden gem in the Pilsen Neighborhood right under the L. The place is small but plenty of character. Employees were super friendly! Definitely a Pilsen spot. Business like these make it worth living in a neighborhood like Pilsen!

Super tasty food and coffee is amazing! I got a red velvet doughnut and a Mexican hot chocolate with espresso and it was the best! I usually don't like doughnuts or hot chocolate but man was this great!!

I love coming here after coming off the L, coffee and bagels are cheap and the workers are kind and efficient. The baked goods also do not disappoint. Definitely try it out.

Everything is great except for the employees who think it's ok to be rude when ordering on phone and aside from attitude want to tell me how I should order my cafe con leche. I asked for oat milk and he responds with "café con leche goes with regular milk" excuse me idgaf!!!!!!! Don't like your job find another where you don't deal with customers! It's always the guy with glasses and mustache when I go to pick up. Why are you so bitter dude? Geeze he ruined my day!

This is going to sound weird, but hear me out. I went in here today (staying in the neighborhood for the weekend for RF) and got a drink and a snack and they still asked me if I wanted my scone toasted, and if I had any special requests for my drink despite there being a queue forming. That's great customer service, and they did it while smiling. 100 percent support this place.

My wife and I go to this spot often since it's so close to home. The white mocha latte is AMAZING - everything you can ask for. It's strong, full bodied, sweet wiithout that artificial taste. We also usually get the morning bagel which, idk how or why, but it tastes fresher than any other bagel I've had. Try the jalapeño bagel if you're up for it!!! A couple things to keep in mind is that they do not have WiFi, and that the menu is limited compared to their larger shop on 18th street. It really doesn't matter to us though; we walk in, order, eat and head out. It's located right in the Damen pink line station so please check it out if you happen to come in/out! And don't forget to try the morning bagel!

We went in there yesterday and paid for our stuff with a $50 bill. I loved the cappuccino so I went back today but the barista refused to take my $20 bill because he "already gave me change the day before" He told me to walk across the street and get change. Rude.

FYI: A hot chocolate with almond milk does not taste the same as a hot chocolate made with water!! If you use the wrong milk on a drink it's a simple mistake. But using water instead of milk that's doing it on purpose. I have been going to The Jumping Bean for years. But recently, L Cafecito has been my "go to" because it's closer to my commute. Going to a coffee place these days is a luxury and I will not be wasting my time here. It's irritating that you think you can get away with being deceitful and customers won't notice. Gracias but No Thank You! P.S. this was my "fixed" drink. The first had the wrong milk and I am not going stay inside any business during COVID 19 longer than needed.

Stop by here every morning for my coffee fix. Super fast, super cute as fuck! Most of all CHEAP! I get a large Reg coffee for $3 if I brought my own cup it would be cheaper. Chicken salad sandwich is FIRE loaded with veggies!

Yummy food and fast service. This place is my go to when I forget to take my lunch to work lol . The chicken focaccia's are my favorite, along with a side of pasta & a white satin coffee . Delicious !

So glad you chose this spot near my office. Coffee is great, the sandwiches are great and the prices are reasonable. The sandwiches come with cucumber and red pepper, which gives a special signature touch. Bagels are almost as good as NY Bagel and Bialy. It is a very small space with a few stools at a counter. I tried the tomato bisque today and it was delicious.
