L Campo - Review - Livermore - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"This Spanish spot is an ideal date spot, thanks to its classic and well-executed tapas menu, comfortable yet stylish space—red velvet booths, funky light fixtures, and a glass-encased kitchen that almost feels like looking into a terrarium outfitted with a stove–and curated wine list of mostly Spanish and local bottles. Once you get your beverage order in, you’ll want to go for the succulent short ribs and the juicy grilled shrimp with lots of garlic. If you’re up for waiting the half hour it takes to prepare, tack on a paella with tender grilled steak and artichokes. They don’t take reservations, but it’s usually very easy to get a table." - Gabi Moskowitz

This is incredible Spanish cuisine. The tapas were amazing. Get the grilled octopus or ham iberico or white sardines they cannot miss. Seafood paella was a home run. This place is amazing. I made a TikTok for it.

Our first visit was soo good. We went for brunch and ended up trying multiple tapas and splitting a sandwich. Most menus items are gluten free like calamari. We are not gluten sensitive and loved the Panko and rice flour coating. Very delicate and light. My goodness it was good. The goat cheese stuffed peppers were amazing!! This is a must try restaurant and we will be back!

This is the type of place you can have it your way. Sit down outside, romantic indoor booth, bar tapas? You got it. Lovely remodel, the most beautiful kitchen in Livermore, caring staff and ownership. The menu and wine list is extensive and varied. 5 stars. Thank you team.

I loved the paella, spanish style. I ordered two of the royal passion fruit drink. Great spot for a date or a girls night! I will definitely come back soon! Friendly staff

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a wonderful dining experience. The interior is cozy yet elegant—glowing with soft lighting, rustic wood accents, and a touch of Mediterranean charm that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. The staff here truly elevate the experience. Attentive without being intrusive, they’re friendly and knowledgeable. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The grilled octopus was tender and perfectly seasoned, while the short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth delicious—rich, savory, and deeply satisfying. The seafood paella was a standout, filled with fresh, perfectly cooked seafood. The drinks were just as impressive. Each special cocktail was thoughtfully crafted, balancing bold flavors with a refined touch. It’s clear that care and creativity go into every detail here.

We had a fantastic experience! The decor is beautiful, and the outdoor patio is perfect for a sunny afternoon. We tried the croquetas, patatas bravas, and the watermelon cocktails were amazing. Great service and relaxed vibes. Our new favorite restaurant in Livermore!

Google
We were curious and tasted almost everything from starters to Paellas and desserts. It was simply delicious - everything! But no wonder if you have a former Michelin star awarded cook who used to work for Armani, the designer and Nobu just to drop some names. The partner is a renowed restaurant manager who has two decades of experience in this business. So if you want to eat genuine Valencian food, don‘t wait - run!

Google
Artful decor welcomes you in, and a great mix of Spanish Tavern drinks, pink and red sangria and handcrafted cocktails are the perfect way to start off your dinner experience. There are a number of great shareable plates and the paella is made to order. If you are adventurous, grab a glass of one of their curated Spanish and Portuguese wine list selections which go perfectly with the cuisine.

Yelp
We loved our dinner at L Campo! We dined as two adults and a toddler and they seated us in a very thoughtful spot with room for our stroller. The cocktails were high quality, and all the staff were so welcoming and attentive. The food came out surprisingly fast (which is always appreciated when dining with small kids!) and everything was excellent. We had braised short rib, chorizo, fries, saffron rice, and cauliflower. I would order everything I ate again!! I think one of the worries with tapas is portion size and whether it will be enough food but every small plate or side we ordered was more than enough for the 3 of us. A note on ambience -- great Friday night vibe! Loud and vibrant and full of people, great for gatherings or a date night. It is not typically the atmosphere that works best for our toddler, but we got lucky that she was well distracted by tasty food. It is very family friendly, but for families with toddlers who don't like high volumes I recommend trying this spot on a quieter night or earlier in the evening. Looking forward to dining here again!

Yelp
Was happy to see a more upscale restaurant in Downtown Livermore. I've been here twice and both times it was busy. Host wasn't as welcoming, bartender was great, server was great. They don't take reservations, just walk ins. And they have a lot of tables either. The restaurant however is very cute and chic. Great place to have a cocktail and small bites. Definitely wouldn't recommend coming here hungry. We had to wait over 45 mins to get a table on a Saturday night around 8pm so by the time we sat we were starving. Since it's mainly tapas (small plates), we left hungry still. But the food was good at least. Anchovie toast: 8/10 Calamari: 8/10 Grilled beef: 9/10 Grilled octopus: 10/10 Grilled chorizo: 8/10 Seafood paella: 10/10 I would come back, but on a half full belly.

Yelp
A true taste of Valencia I visited El Campo recently and had an incredible experience from beginning to end. The food is outstanding and truly reflects the warmth and flavor of Valencian cuisine, but what really elevated the night was the exceptional service. The staff is amazing. The servers are attentive, friendly and genuinely invested in giving guests the best possible experience. They explain the dishes with care, check in at the perfect moments and make you feel completely welcome. I also loved that they let you choose how you want your paella cooked: medium crispy, extra crispy or no crispy. That level of attention to personal preference is rare and really makes a difference. The paella was unforgettable. The rice was perfectly cooked, the seafood fresh and the saffron brought everything together with beautiful aroma and flavor. The tapas were just as delicious, especially the croquetas and the tortilla, which came out hot, creamy and full of taste. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and combined with the outstanding service, it creates the perfect dining experience. If you love Spanish food or simply want an exceptional meal, El Campo is a must visit. I cannot wait to return. And seriously, don't leave without trying the Watermelon Kiss and the passionfruit drink. They're addictive. And the bartenders? Super attentive, super friendly, and they actually put effort into every drink and that's what makes it even more special

Yelp
Amazing as always! I was so sad to see the cod gone from the menu, but the sea bass was just as delicious!! Service was again very attentive and prompt (Duda was so kind and helpful!) And had an amazing meal! Came right after opening and had the almost the whole place to myself! Will definitely stop by soon!

Yelp
Fun spot for a girls night out or date night! Arrived on a Saturday just after 7, and were lucky to snag two bar stools as a couple was just leaving. Otherwise, if you're not feeling as lucky it seemed like you definitely should either make a reservation or plan ahead for a bit of a wait. Seating is limited, but that adds to the ambiance of your experience! Tables in the back of the restaurant overlook the kitchen. Tables closer to the front overlook First St. Either way, there isn't a bad seat in the house. My friend and I ordered four tapas and one paella, it was enough to feed a party twice our size and the bill came to $150 (we also each had one drink). Tapas: Peppers: I would skip. No flavor. Meatballs: Must order! Huge amount of meatballs (I believe there were ten); I wish you could do a half order! Coquettes: If you only order one tapas, this must be it! DELICIOUS. Bravas: I have had better elsewhere, but it isn't bad! Chicken paella: I wouldn't come back for the paella as I've had better elsewhere, but it is good! I wish it was crispier with strong seasoning, but the amount of cilantro was a little... much... and maybe the distracted from the seasoning. The winner of the night: the cocktails are DELICIOUS. The spicy margarita is legitimately a jalapeño infused tequila, and it's SPICY without needing a spicy rim. Love!!

Yelp
We were invited to a belated birthday dinner. We looked forward to a wonderful Spanish meal of Tapas and Paella. L Campo does not take reservations and seating is first come, first served. We were seated outside. At first, I was concerned that it might get cold because I didn't see any heaters and I had left my jacket in my car. We lucked out because the weather held and there was no wind. Menus were presented and we were asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We got the bubbly stuff and one of us ordered a Coke. We verified with our server, Duda, that one Tapa and two Entrees would be the right amount of food. Heirloom Tomato Toast - 3 - It was fine, but we were comparing it to a Tomate con Pan that we had had in London a couple of years ago. That one was made with toasted homemade bread, rubbed with fresh garlic, then rubbed with ripe tomatoes imported from Barcelona and drizzled with olive oil. Patatas Bravas - 2 - In a Chinese restaurant, one can expect differences in flavors and textures from dishes with the same name because of regional ingredients. There's no reason for this to be different in Spanish food. I prefer "dry" potatoes served with an Aioli and/or a Bravas Sauce. This one was too wet with Bravas Sauce and the Aioli Sauce was only served after we were asked if we wanted it. 12+ Month Jamon Serrano - 5 - Perfectly yummy. 24+ Month Jamon Iberico - 5 - Even yummier. We had experienced both meats in Barcelona but our hosts had not. I asked if we could possibly order a split plate and pay the difference but alas it was not possible because these items were portioned in advance. These Jamons come from different breeds of pigs raised on different diets. Compared side by side, you can choose your preference based on flavor and texture. Baked Cauliflower with Romesco Sauce - 4 - Was good. There are so many variations that I can't decide what style of Romesco Sauce I prefer. I think that next time, I'll order the sauce on the side so I can decide how much to use. 48-Hour Beef Short Ribs - 5 - I'm not sure that Beef served without the bone can technically be called a Short Rib even if it's the meat from between the bones. However, the beef is delicious. Even more delicious is the broth and Spanish Beans that come along in the pan. Be sure to order Bread and Butter to go with it. The Bread will also come with Olive Oil but it's really not needed. Spread some of the soft butter on the bread and then spoon some sauce and a bean onto the bread. You can even add a shred or two of the beef if you want to go crazy. Seafood Paella - 5 - Although the rice was lacking the Socarrat that we were expecting, the flavor of the rice was phenomenal. When we placed the order, we were asked how we wanted the rice, I said crispy. Duda offered Crispy or Extra Crispy. I then asked for Extra Crispy. When done correctly, the rice cooks to the bottom of the pan and provides an extra bit of texture and flavor without being burned. What was served barely stuck to the pan. Zero Socarrat. Very disappointing, especially since we had been asked how we wanted it. Churros - 4 - Two of us ordered Churros for dessert. They were out of Milk Chocolate so we both got the "Dark" Chocolate. The flavor of the Churros was good. These were skinny Churros, and I prefer fat Churros because there's more of the soft center, which the Chocolate Sauce seems to adhere to better. In Barcelona, the Dark Chocolate Sauce was much darker and substantially thicker, almost like a chocolate pudding. If you tipped the container, it would move slowly like lava. Cheese Flan with Housemade Jam (Covserve?) and Cream - 4 - Good flavors. Baked Rice Pudding - 4 - I found it interesting to have a rice pudding that didn't seem to be made up of grains of rice. I looked it up online and discovered that rice pudding sometimes doesn't even contain rice although some may grind the rice into powder before cooking for a smoother texture. This is a new concept for me and I'm going to have to try it again. Flavor wise, it was good.

Yelp
This Monday Oct 25 we went to L Campo for the first time It is a relatively new tapas place in Livermore. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is small but performs like a well-tuned restaurant. They packed a lot into this single unit space. The chef was very personable. All staff were friendly and helpful. The evening started off with a Spanish olives and almonds that were nicely flavored without being excessively salty. The endive salad with oranges and walnuts was nicely presented. Lettuce was fresh and crispy. Oranges and walnuts adorned the presentation. The flavors just melted in our mouth. The nicely sliced Jamőn Ibérico 24 month prosciutto with rosemary bread gave us nice savory slices of excellence. The special chili pepper code was cooked on the grill and served in nice cooking dish. The tomatoes and other goodies were A perfect addition to the cod. For my birthday we had the almond cake, complete with a candle. The chef presented it along with the staff. We strongly recommend giving L Campo a try.

Yelp
Great food, excellent service. We were there last month -- the place was very crowded and does not take reservations, but we were seated within 5-10 minutes, so it was not that bad. We ordered some drinks that arrived quickly, and then the food arrived nice and hot. Everything was well-made and fresh. The service was exceptional, and we got everything we were looking for on a busy Friday evening. We started with a salad bowl of endives with orange & walnuts, and shared a paella of chicken & saffron, and a dish of sea bass in a creamy tomato sauce. Everything was well-made. The Paella was a bit dry for our liking, but authentic for sure.

Yelp
We were so excited to see this place open up...something new and different than anything else Livermore offers. It is absolutely delicious! My husband and I went last night and the whole experience from start to finish was great. It is so cute inside. They did a great job with decor and we loved that you can see into the kitchen. They thought of everything and it shows. To start, I ordered the watermelon kiss cocktail and my husband ordered an old fashion. Both were really good. The watermelon kiss was so refreshing and light, not overly sweet. The old fashion was really well made and perfectly balanced. Then, I got the cucumber cocktail which was also really refreshing and light while highlighting the flavor of cucumber. We got the patatas bravas which were so incredibly flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice. The octopus was really tasty also with a great level of smoke and flavor. The bites where you got a little bit of everything, including the greens, were the best! We shared the seafood paella which was so packed with flavor and a healthy portion of mussels, shrimp, and calamari. Definitely worth getting. For dessert, we ordered the churros which were a great end to our meal. Our server Patrick was incredibly nice and we appreciated his knowledge of the menu as we needed some help narrowing down our selections throughout the meal. One of the other workers that came to clear our table was so sweet and noticed our table was a tiny wobbly (which we hadn't even noticed). He came back and fixed it and it just showed their attention to detail. Before our paella came out, we were given new hot plates and silverware which was a nice touch. They didn't miss a thing. Highly, highly recommend and we will most definitely be back to try more tapas! Everything we saw come out of the kitchen looked so delicious!

Linda W.

Yelp
I was excited that a Spanish opened up locally to save me the drive to Palo Alto. A friend and I shared a seafood paella and while the initial bite was tasty, some later bites were hyper salty. We found the patatas bravas underwhelming. Our favorite item by far were the croquettes. The seating was comfortable. No complaints on the service.

Yelp
Delicious. Expensive but really good service and food. My top places to go. Really love the paella, extra crispy.

Yelp
New favorite Spanish tapa restaurant in Livermore area - open concept kitchen you can see chef preparing for dishes. Strongly recommend ordering seafood paella, vegetarian croquettes, green peppers, meatballs, spicy chorizo with peppers. You must order their churro and chocolate dipping sauce (YUM). Service is friendly and knowledgeable about the food
google avatar

Tara W.

Yelp
Ambiance was nice love the open kitchen and table designs in the back but majority of tables out front are way to close together and leaves no privacy between you and your neighbors. Horchata was delicious but unfortunately the rest of the food was so so. We had Octopus was fresh and soft but sauces served with it did not have wow factor. Had jamón was fine but bread served with it was lacking fine dining. The seafood paella was so small for the price a few pieces of seafood and no flavor. The server was very sweet and young but unfortunately she lacked ability to describe the dishes little knowledge of the menu described one of the dishes as the same sauce as a previous dish they served but since it was our first time we had no knowledge of previous dish we laughed about that. It was ok but probably won't return Sabio on Main is way better

Yelp
Wonderful vibe and has a Spanish tapas groove to it Food: 3 stars Well done, open kitchen shows they care. However the water we got tasted like it was from the faucet, please use filtered water for your guest. So dropping a 1.5 stars. Ambiance: 4.5 stars Spanish tapas in the tri-valley, YES!!! Service: 4 stars Young lady that served us at the bar was very pleasant but sometimes checked in too much and when we were having conversations, then things got busy and we had to waive her down. Price: 3 stars Overall I have to rate it 3 stars but I will be back.
google avatar

Ashley Z.

Yelp
Expensive and not worth the wait. It could be we picked the wrong choice of food combination but the paella and chorizo was ok. The chocolate dipping sauce was the only thing I really liked.
google avatar

Kristina M.

Yelp
The wait for 4 on a Saturday night at the height on dinner time was an hour. They don't take reservations which is a negative. They have blankets for the patio seating but no heaters which they'll need to add if they want to keep the additional outdoor seating I. The colder months. The cocktails were tasty, most of the food was excellent. We loved the grilled beef tapas, very flavorful. The patatas fritas were also extremely flavorful. The calamari was a disappointment with the lowest quality provided and the sauces unimpressive. We hardly ate it. The paella's was okay. We will definitely return and try more.

Roberta A.

Yelp
We had a great experience at El Campo! The service from ( Duda ) was outstanding she was attentive, friendly, and truly made us feel welcome. Her service made all the difference in our visit. The drinks were amazing, well-made, flavorful, and high quality. The bartender, (Ugur), was also very attentive and made sure everything was perfect. We were very impressed with the overall experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend L Campo!

Yelp
Amazing experience from start to finish. Wonderful setting to enjoy an upscale meal in downtown Livermore with near perfect service and ambience. The steak paella was the highlight, but literally everything we ordered was a winner. Cocktails and sangria were also a big hit. Looking forward to our next visit!
google avatar

Kehaulani L.

Yelp
5 stars for the service (Marisol) and ambiance but 3 for the portions and price point. I was shocked one boneless short rib was 38$ and the octopus was the tiniest I've ever seen for 26$. I don't think I would ever dine here again as it wasn't anything out of the ordinary.
google avatar

Joy L.

Yelp
We had such a great meal at L Campo! We ordered the mushroom paella, veggie croquettes (pro tip: get the bread to soak up all those delicious sauces), and the meatballs -- everything was packed with flavor. Finished it off with their horchata and churro, which was super refreshing. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday with dinner here and it was perfection! Ambiance is lovely, we were seated in an elegant plush red booth with a great view of the busy kitchen. All of the waitstaff was warm, welcoming, incredibly efficient and a delight to chat with! I started with a glass of their L Campo sangria. It had nice notes of cinnamon and pomegranate. Decided on a tapas assortment so we could try several dishes. We thoroughly enjoyed each tasty morsel! Spanish sweet flat bread was delicate cracker-like rounds, sprinkled with crystallized sugar and had exquisite subtle hints of anise seed. Vegetable croquettes were absolutely scrumptious! The fried cod was flaky with a light crunch in perfect bite-size portions with fresh lemon and two dipping sauces. Also indulged in their lovely Spanish charcuterie platter assortment. I casually revealed it was my birthday early on. Our sweetheart of a waitress surprised me with a piece of their fabulous almond cake & a muted "Happy Birthday" serenade, both were much appreciated. The cake was light, not too sweet and along with petite orange wedges, fresh zest and sauce was totally delectable! You would never know they've been open less than a month. Everything ran smoothly and expeditiously. Can't wait to go back! Come early because even on a Monday they were almost at capacity before 6pm. Excellente L Campo!

David

Yelp
Was so excited to try this place! Ended up being very 'mid'. Drinks, appetizers, and main course were all bland. Not bad, but not good either. I wouldn't come back. Service was lacking, no helpful direction. "Everything is good". Very cold inside.
google avatar

Yelp
The ambience is relaxing with neighborhood like casual elegance. Terrific, Friendly, attentive, not intrusive service from Duda! All tapas ordered were flavorful. Nice to have the Spanish cuisine option in the area.

Music L.

Yelp
The paella was hearty and delicious -- the meat was perfectly tender and the artichokes melt in your mouth. Also loved the watermelon kiss cocktail, it was of the best I've ever had. Tasted like freshly squeezed watermelon juice. The calamari was okay, nothing special. The restaurant itself is beautiful and is great for a fancy dinner or a slightly upscale lunch.

Marlo C.

Yelp
Finally, good Spanish tapas in the TriValley. The space was done tastefully with a soothing ambiance. Service was excellent and attentive. We were recommended to try the 24 month Jamon Iberico which was amazing-highly recommend! We ordered the churros with chocolate for dessert- a definite must for dessert. A couple of "thoughts": 1) Although service was great, we felt rushed. We were recommended to order all tapas at once. We're used to ordering tapas "along the way". 2) The same sauce was used in most of our tapas, so the tapa taste profiles were similar/identical. 3) Not a big deal, but they do not take reservations, and noticed that all seats (& bar seats) were filled by 5:20p on a Friday eve. 4) Limited Spanish (by the bottle from Spain) red wines to choose from. All in all, good start and we'll definitely come again!

Yelp
The hype is well founded. Everything we ate was great, and the server Burt (Bert? I don't want to spell it wrong!) did a fantastic job with recommendations. The Watermelon Kiss was so fresh and tasty, as was the rose sangria, and the steak in our paella was perfect. Looking forward to returning to try more of the tapas. Nice atmosphere with classical guitar mood music that adds rather than detracts or distracts.

Yelp
Had dinner at L Campo and was seriously impressed. We ordered the patatas bravas and the steak paella, and both dishes were outstanding. The patatas bravas came out perfectly crispy on the outside, soft inside, and topped with a rich, smoky sauce that had just the right kick -- easily one of the best versions I've tried. The steak paella was flavorful and comforting, with tender slices of steak layered over perfectly cooked rice that had soaked up all those deep, savory flavors. Every bite was hearty and balanced.

Yelp
After finishing the Livermore Light Wine Trolley Tour on Saturday night We were looking to find a place for a light dinner at 8pm. We did peek in quite a few windows and L Campo caught our eye as the ambience and menu looked inviting. The food and cocktails here were amazing, and the service was outstanding and quick. The octopus and anchovies' toast was a first for the 4 of us and only made us wish we had more of a appetite to experience more of the menu. We will be back for sure. The icing on the cake was our server Nani, who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and super fun to talk to. Her level of service was second to none and when we do come back we will be willing to wait as long as we have to to make sure she is our server. L Campo...you have the food , you have the ambience. You also have Nani. Hang on to her as long as you can.

Yelp
Nice restaurant. Good ambiance. Good service. Food looked good. Some dishes tasted a bit salty for us. The shrimp was missing the crunch factor.

Yelp
We were excited to hear of a Spanish Tapas place opening up so decided to check it out last Friday at 5pm. We were immediately greeted and there were plenty of seating at this time, we decided to sit outside. I can say the ambience is great, and so is the service. We ordered the gambas, white anchovies, jamón, paella "l campo" & patatas bravas. Everything was really tasty, except the patatas were a little soggy, would have preferred them more crispy! I'm sure every place does it differently, but we've had them crispy in Barcelona, so really our preference. :) Other than that, atmosphere, food, drinks were great! Highly recommend! *Sorry I did not get pictures this time!
google avatar

Tarric E.

Yelp
Great service, excellent food! We had several small plates for a group of four. The shrimp, grilled octopus, white anchovies, croquettes, and Jamón Ibérico were all simply delicious. They will tell you up front the paella takes 25-30 minutes to prepare, so best order it immediately if you are interested. We tried the seafood paella, and ordered it "extra crispy" crust on the bottom. My wife and I made a subsequent visit with two more friends, where we finished tasting the small plates, and ordered the L Campo paella. Every dish was a delight, I'd order any again. I preferred the L Campo paella to the seafood, but i would eat either in a heartbeat. My only concern is they don't take reservations. It wasn't an issue either time we visited, but come winter the outside seating won't be fun and there's not a lot of seating space inside.

Yelp
Accommodating staff, great tapas and drinks and great atmosphere. Hit every note a great restaurant should.

Yelp
Great food and authentic, asparagus were our favorite and the almond cake delicious! Great service, beautiful ambiance, very clean, we will definitely come back soon.

Gabriel A.

Yelp
I don't usually enjoy seafood, but the paella at L Campo completely changed my mind, hands down the best I've ever had. The restaurant was spotless and beautifully organized, and the staff made the whole experience seamless. I barely waited for my food, and the open kitchen made it even better. Watching them prepare everything fresh right in front of me gave me total confidence in the quality and care they put into every dish. If you're anywhere near Livermore and want amazing food, great service, and an experience you can trust, L Campo is a must-try.

Yelp
Amazing test. Take you back to Spain! Very authentic and fresh flavor. I will come back soon. Octopus was amazing. Shrimp was good as well. Ambiance is chill and soft. Service is Byron's friendly and caring.

Yelp
Great new place downtown! Beautifully designed, attentive staff, amazing food and delicious drinks. Love the ambiance. Must try the paella and the short ribs. It was delicious.

Yelp
Checked this place out last night. Arrived at about 5:20pm and it was already almost full so the buzz is definitely out about this place. The inside is very nice- the decor is great and the kitchen is behind big clear windows so you get to feel like it's one big family while inside- in a good way. The food came very fast- so fast that the main entree beat one of the tapas we ordered, but it's ok as we just ate it all together. We ordered the tapas croquettes which were our favorite, we also ordered the tapas sautéed shrimp and then short ribs with Spanish beans (for 2) - the short ribs were good and fell apart like they should, but it lacked flavor. The beans were big Lima beans, but you only get about 5 of them. I felt like I wanted at least a couple more of those to go with each bite. There was a light broth the short rib sat in that we felt needed some type of bread to go with, so we added an order of bread. $5 order came with two small pieces of a baguette style bread and a dish of olive oil (which we didn't use). The price for the bread was the only cost I felt was a bit steep. The menu is really very reasonable in comparison to other similar dining establishments in Livermore. For dessert we had the almond cake and it quite possibly was our favorite of the night!! Delicious and delightful!! Service was excellent and so was the vibe. They will eventually be open for lunch and they will eventually have some Spanish guitar players to play at dinner service. I'd like to go back for that and to try some of their Spanish Charcuterie plates as well!

Yelp
Everything was truly amazing! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the portions were very generous and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The Paella Steak was absolutely delicious, tender and full of flavor. From the starters we really enjoyed the octopus and the classic Patatas Bravas. The churros were the perfect sweet ending, crispy and light. And the Watermelon Kiss cocktail was refreshing and perfectly balanced. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, we will definitely be coming back again!

Yelp
My friends and I were very excited to try this new place. We waited 6 weeks in order to give them time to work out any kinks. We were a party of 5 and arrived at 6:15 pm on Saturday night knowing we would have a wait since they don't take reservations. We were told it would be 45 minutes. After 1.5 hours, we asked for an update and were told 10-15 minutes more. In the meantime we saw many parties of 2-4 get seated and served. After 2 hours we asked again how long it would be and got a shrug of the shoulders. No apology or concern. We left feeling very disrepected. What a disappointment.

Yelp
The food is delicious. Love the chorizo, croquettes, braised chicken and mushroom paella. Our server was attentive and friendly. The vibe is both sophisticated and casual. Love the window to the kitchen. This is definitely going to be a favorite in Livermore.

Yelp
Food was delicious. The shishito peppers were perfectly sautéed and the heirloom tomato toasted was perfectly portioned. We also got the chicken paella which was cooked perfectly. The drinks were also delicious though very mild. My only minor "complaint" was that the waitress was almost overly nice. She was very sweet but at a certain point, the constant check-ins are enough. Besides that though, the food was yummy and I definitely recommend checking L Campo out.

Yelp
We were wandering downtown LM and saw L Campo. I assumed it's fairly new since they only had a few reviews. Walked in and got a table right away. They were pretty busy though on a Wednesday night. They have outdoor area too where we sat. Service is amazing -- I don't say this a lot because service (overall) has gone down so much everywhere but this place proved me wrong. They were very attentive in a good way, very friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious -- we ordered a couple items and all of them were above 9/10. Anchovies were good, not too fishy/salty for me but still flavorful, the croquette 10/10!!! I ordered the pickled veggies too, random but I enjoyed it very much, might be too pickled for some but I would order a jar if I had the chance. We got mushroom paella, maybe we should've gotten extra crispy next time, 8/10. Drinks were delicious, 8.7/10 Would recommend and come back.

Yelp
The restaurant and atmosphere were amazing. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. The food was delicious--I got some tapas, and they were extraordinarily good. I had a great experience here and will definitely be coming back to explore the rest of the menu.

Yelp
Great Spanish restaurant. Reasonably priced shareable meals. Unique cocktails. Blankets for those of us sitting outside. The interior is small.

Yelp
Service outstanding I thought the Tapa portions were so little! Paella was ok, not great. We Din not eat much for $500.

Yelp
Food was outstanding. We tried the seafood paella. A little crispier rice as a recommendation from the bartender. Great choice. The octopus and short ribs with beans were also very delicious. I loved the cozy vibe with Spanish guitar music playing in the background. Oh I forgot to mention the cocktail with tequila, pomegranate and canela. Scrumptious. Great place. A must try. You won't be disappointed.
