The Best MICHELIN Guide Hotels in Seoul

"There’s a youthful air to L7 Hongdae, which makes sense; this boutique hotel is located in one of Seoul’s most creative neighborhoods, Hongdae, known for vibrant street murals, pop-up craft markets, and a large student population. The hotel’s Blue Roof Lounge, a stylish communal space, reflects that artistic energy with billiards tables, a record collection, and a library of design books." - The MICHELIN Guide

Just arrived at L7 Hotel in Hongdae and first impressions are great! The lobby is modern and stylish, with a cool, welcoming vibe. The staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient, and check-in was quick. The location is super convenient—right near the subway and surrounded by lots of restaurants and shops.

Location was great and not far from the hongik university station! It was easy to get around the line 2 to alot of places. Hotel room was enough for 1 person and the facilities was ok. The housekeeping services tend to come early in the morning so I had to call the front desk to ask for housekeeping when I leave later. Would definitely rebook the hotel again!

I really loved this hotel — everything was amazing! The location is excellent, the staff were great, and overall it was a fantastic experience. However, there’s one major issue that really bothered me: the bathroom inside the room offers almost no privacy. The toilet area is separated by a glass wall that’s almost see-through, and the top part is open. So if someone needs to poop, the entire room ends up smelling like it — which is honestly very unpleasant and uncomfortable. This bathroom setup seriously needs to be reconsidered, because it takes away from what could otherwise be a perfect stay.

Found a hidden camera in the shower! Informed the receptionist and they were nonchalant about it; sent a staff to check and they told me it’s not a camera. Looked sus tho, and it reflected red light from our camera detector. Bought tape to cover it and would definitely not return to this hotel

A modern hotel with check in at 21st floor. Our corner room on 8 floor with a direct view of the exciting busy Hongdae Main Street and view of big screen on the buildings across. Room size is decent to have two big suitcase open and very quiet. The open bathroom design with shower not enclosed is interesting, water pressure and temperature all good. if sharing room with family is okay. Toilet is individual enclosed with heated feature. Room has good amount of interior lights. Mini fridge is small, free bottles water refill almost daily. Two free juice and poky snacks. Bath robe, slippers (a bit thin). Single bed is comfy, a bit on the softer side, pillow and blanket are down. A Line friend store just opened downstairs. Subway station is few minutes away. Exit 1. Back of the hotel has drop off location. Bags storage pick up must before 10pm. We got late check out by request extended to noon from 11am. Great experience overall. 樂天L7弘大酒店

First impressions when we first arrived at the lobby was already unimpressed with 2 out of the 4 lifts under maintenance. Took a while to get the keys due to name booked with Agoda has my English name whereas my pp doesn't. No where else have I encountered this issue. Real waste of time given that front desk confirm that there is such a booking and paid for. They had to call Agoda to get them to change the booking name even though I have showed other documents containing me English name. I had no issues in my previous 2 hotels in Seoul. When entering the room it is small for triple sharing. No sofa, no utensils, no iron or ironing board provided. The stool provided is not ideal to work on if you are planning to do any long hour work. Not ideal for business but more for leisure. Waiting for the lifts is definitely an issue. A lot of time wasted here and it's crowded. I saw front office ushering some of their local patrons to use their service lifts. I would say this is definitely an over priced hotel given the amenities and room size. Paid close to USD250 per night. Nothing extraordinary jumps out. I am sure there are better value ones but in terms of location there are also other hotels to consider. The drop coffee provided was almost tasteless. The windows were dirty and toilet not properly clean when we arrived. The washer is 5000 won and dryer is another 5000 won. (not 500 as what others have posted). A bit steep as my previous hotel only charge 2000.

The hotel location is great.Service is ok.Hotel is well maintained and clean everywhere. However the aroma scent in the room made me not really comfort as I have nasal allergies. Also, the hotel has poor soundproofing. There are too much noice from the street at all time , and whenever there is anyone passby your room, you could hear clearly .

stayed there the 3rd time in last week. their location is the best but none of the room amenities r refilled, even cotton buds r not replenish everyday. u need to keep ur own luggage in their locker if u want to, no one does that for u or help u. besides, no one is willing to help to bring ur package delivered to ur room becoz its "heavy" (2 blankets, vacuumed, bought from gwangjang market n sent to hotel).very terrible service I would rate! paid a price of 4 star but service like staying in hostel!
