L7 Hongdae

It was our first time in Seoul, Korea so we wanted to stay central to Hongdae and booked L7! We were very happy with our stay here. The location of this hotel was perfect as it was walking distance to Hongdae and Yeonnam-dong area. It has very easy access to public transport for the subway, buses and airport limousine. The staff were very friendly, efficient and accommodating. We booked the Standard Double for our 5 night stay and it was quite affordable. The room was very clean and spacious. It was nice that we also had a view of the N Seoul Tower as well. It made the stay just that extra special during the sunrise/sunset. Would highly recommend staying here! :) P.S. if you’re a gamer and a big fan of T1 - the T1 Basecamp is very close by. My partner was thrilled about that as well!

Amidst the ongoing construction in Hongdae stands L7 Hotel 🏨. The hotel has been quite controversial, with guests sharing very mixed opinions—and after staying there, it’s easy to understand why. The good things: The location is extremely convenient, situated right next to a train station, making it easy to travel around the city. The common area is well designed and offers games such as pool and chess, creating a nice space to relax and socialize. The bad things: The bathroom lacked a shower curtain, which caused water to spread across the entire bathroom after each shower. Construction was taking place right next to the hotel, starting early in the morning and continuing throughout the day, which made the stay somewhat uncomfortable. Noise from cleaning in nearby rooms was easily heard in the mornings. Only paper cups were provided, which felt inconvenient and low-quality for a hotel stay. Main issue: The sound insulation was extremely poor. Noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway could be clearly heard, greatly affecting comfort and privacy. Overall: L7 Hotel has a great location and some appealing facilities, but several aspects could be improved. Better sound insulation and more investment in room quality would significantly enhance the guest experience.

2.5 stars First the negatives: --The breakfast buffet was terrible in terms of quality and selection. --There were no chairs in the room, just a stool, so it was impossible to use the desk. --The beds were quite uncomfortable. --The room was extremely small and cramped, especially considering the cost. -- Only disposable paper cups were provided (no ceramic mugs or glasses), which made it seem strange that the hotel does not provide toothpaste "for the environment." Now the positives: --Relatively clean. --Nice desk staff and cleaners. --Location, location, location. Basically, the hotel is very overpriced and does not offer a 4-star experience. I expect more from Lotte hotels and was quite disappointed. We will definitely not stay at L7 again.

The bathroom was clean and well-equipped with quality toiletries and a handy hair dryer, while the complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi kept me connected effortlessly . I also appreciated little touches like universal adapters—such a thoughtful detail for international travelers . What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and fluent in English, always ready to offer recommendations or assist with requests . The 24-hour fitness center was a great bonus for maintaining my routine, and the lobby lounge with its pool table and vinyl area provided the perfect spot to unwind with a drink . I also loved the rooftop views from the hotel’s restaurant—dining with a glimpse of Seoul’s skyline added a special touch to my stay . Cleanliness was impeccable throughout the hotel, from the rooms to the public areas, which made the stay feel safe and comfortable . Whether you’re traveling for leisure, shopping, or cultural exploration, L7 Seoul offers the ideal home base. It’s no surprise this is a top choice for travelers—great value, unbeatable location, and stylish comfort all in one. I can’t wait to return to Seoul, and L7 will undoubtedly be my first choice for accommodation. Nice location, 1 mins walk from Hongyik Uni. Stn. exit 1. Nice view on the 21/F (Reception & Common area). Front desk staffs are professional and helpful. Triple room is a little bit small for 3 ppl but still nice and comfy. Housekeeping staff are good, they did their job well.

This hotel is amazing. The views were breathtaking and there is so much to do in the area. Hotel also has a great fitness room and area for guest to lounge, play pool, listen to music, or surf the web. The metro station is less than 1 block away and you to easily get to other sides of town. This will be my first choice when I return again.

I was charged 56000 won for parking overnight and not staying at this hotel. I was told by Google AI that parking price overnight is only 10000 and the Google translator or parking sign mislead me again. I think the sign is not clear enough. I park 11PM and get the car at 10AM to return a car to “Lotte rent a car” and was calculated 6 hours x 3000won/20mins. If you are foreigners and want to park around here maybe parking on the road in the block line is the better idea.

L7 has the best location - 1 minute walk from Hong Gik University station exit 1; 3-minute walk from airport bus stops. It has a roof top pool and a gym - small but with 2 good treadmills and proper weights equipment. The room was quite spacious given its center location. The room was clean with basic amenities provided (towels, shampoos, hair dryer, bottled water).  The room was slightly pricey though, but given the time and walking we have saved, it was fine.
