202405 Recommended by my Brooklyn-raised friend and I’ll owe my thanks to him. The bagel: proper bagel delight! Perfectly rolled and boiled and baked and toasted. Best Pumpernickel Everything I’ve had— the everything mix isn’t too overpowering and salty and onion-ly, and it actually goes well with pumpernickel, which I usually eat plain because it already has rye and caraway seed aroma. And look at the gorgeous texture!! The filling: Lovely tofu spread. Generous enough but not too thick. There are many other choices. The grill also looks amazing. The place: Wooden interior. Efficient staff. Clean restroom. I packed two bagels and after tasting another pair for my transatlantic flight :3

Bagels for the first time - very tasty!!! As a German tourist, I was impressed: fresh bagels, quick preparation and super tasty! The staff were extremely polite and helpful. A great experience that I can recommend to everyone!

Walking in, you could tell the place is ALWAYS busy. 6+ staff behind the counter asking everyone if their order was taken. People coming in and out the door. It can definitely be intimidating, but then you realize staff is super friendly and you can take your time to look at the menu while others already order their usual. The atmosphere was lively, with seating available in the back and around the corner. Service was quick and food was made fresh to order. Got the “One Sweet Pig” on an Onion Bagel - 2 fluffy eggs, sweet ham, maple brown sugar bacon, and white cheddar. It’s aptly named - sweet, hearty, and filling! Definitely going to have to come back and try the rest of the menu.

I’ve been wanting bagels all week and I stopped by this amazing place and it gave me exactly what I wanted!! Lain bagel toasted with cream cheese and a fresher squeezed OJ! The Oj was actually perfectly balanced super good not to sweet not to tart very good! And chilledB the bagel was perfect fluffy and soft and warm on the inside and crunchy outside! But not too hard it was perfect looking forward to try their other bagels all the types of bagels looked very fresh! They also have food and a deli with great variety!! They have bakery items and I am looking forward to trying their food soon!! Great place ! I paid $17.25 for a bagel , fresh squeezed oj , small mini banana loaf and this included a tip I left.

Although with a short walk you can enjoy your bagel with some pretty stellar views, this bagel shop is certainly one you can give a miss. With some many incredible options around this city, this deli just feels like the kid in school that didn’t bother trying. The bagels tasted like something I could have picked up at the grocery store and the shop itself felt dirty and overlooked. Personally, I ate a few bites and then shared my bagel with the pigeons under the Manhattan bridge.

Amazing place! Me and my boyfriend were visiting NYC and stayed in Brooklyn. We went here 3 times and one of the remembered who we were each time and asked what our tourist plans were and to have safe travels back to MN. Thank you! And we are for sure missing the bagels now!!

Needed bagels and saw this place had good reviews and was close to Dumbo. Glad we stopped in and grabbed food. The bagels were perfectly soft and the cream cheese was plentiful.

Their lox is great! Highly recommend their Lox spectacular. Their bagels are good when fresh and they have a variety of bagels but also cream cheese. The staff is super friendly and always helpful with questions. They are really attentive and want to make sure you are happy with your order. I tend to have some requests for my bagels, like toasted, scooped, certain replacements, etc. and most of time they're all met - once in a while one thing is missing.

Hard to go wrong with a pastrami, egg and cheese sesame bagel. Great location near Manhattan bridge viewing street, Kara appreciated :)

Good bagels, poor and inaccurate service. There's nothing like calling a restaurant to notify them you did not receive what you ordered, and to ask if they could possibly send the correct item, but not even being able to get the sentence out. The woman on the phone kept insisting "you didn't order that." I explained to her that I was looking at my receipt and I ordered and paid for 3 bagels, but one of the bagels was wrong and could they please deliver it? But she did not want to hear it. She continued to argue with me until I hung up. Very disappointed in the lack of service and the inability of the person on the phone to allow me to finish a sentence.

First time there and my last. Bagel with lox isn't difficult unless you're an incompetent employee. Mediocre product is one thing but mediocre product and poor customer service from multiple employees will definitely not get my $ again. Too many other places to visit.

My friend lives down the street, loves this place, and says it's very special for locals. Manager and cashier were great but prices are steeps. I had avocado on a pumpernickel bagel and it was perfect. The bagels are dense, doughy, chewy, and are the perfect size and thickness. It's two blocks from Prospect Park so it's perfect to grab a bagel and eat at the park.

"This is magical place, full of wonderful people, making amazing food". These are the words of my partner after eating the first bite of his breakfast sandwich at La Bagel Delight. We stumbled into this spot on a Saturday morning. The front is run like a well oiled machine. They were busy but our order was taken right away by one of the 15 people working behind the counter. We both ordered the Jersey Boy Breakfast Sandwich, which is Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a bagel. I got mine on an egg everything and my partner got a plain. The bagels are top tier. Crunchy on the outside, soft and steaming on the inside. As a born and bred New Jersey native, I was over the top excited when I saw they were using the Taylor Hand brand of pork roll- the real deal! This is so hard to find in the city. Best of all, they use board head deli meats and stack their sandwiches high. Their staff was friendly and kind, serving up the food with love. I got a hot coffee to eat with my sandwich and it was also solid. They also had a display case full of incredible looking sweet treats. I'll absolutely be back to try them out. This place is a gem!

$ 10.70 and I tossed it all in the garbage. I'm doing some statistical work for Methodist for about four months now and decided today to give this place a try. The front door was open, fully. There was no a/c at all. I thought to myself, OK, I'll get some food and take it to a quiet place I know. It was 1:20 PM. I ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel w/cream cheese and an egg bagel with butter. Small coffee, very light, 1/2&1/2, no sugar. Paid, took my order to the secret lunch hideaway spot and ... b t w, I don't eat bagels all that often, so grabbing two at one time is pretty usual when I go for 'the bagel', and any left over I would take home ... w t f, the cinnamon raisin bagel was stale. YES, the bagel even with the generous spreading of cream cheese was dry - hard - tasteless. After two bits, I just spit the stale cooked dough out of my mouth. I opened my coffee, which was not a small, but turned out to be a large - giant, not light, yes to the 1/2&1/2 and no sugar requested. But the coffee was too hot, I asked for light. Now I have to eat the egg bagel ... I'm really hungry. The first thing I notice is that there is barely any butter ... like where is the butter. And the bite, and here to fucking stale shit. This was a first and last, never again. First time there, and last time there, never again.

I have celiac disease and it's hard to always find good gluten free options but this was the best GF bagel I've tasted so far!! They had a good amount of options for bagels as well.

Popular local take out place for thick freshly made breakfast bagels- large assortment of bagels and spreads. Enjoyed a large coffee with a sausage egg cheese bagel - savory and juicy. The bacon egg cheese bagel had crispy bacon with melted cheese and egg. Indoor seating only in rear.

Bad customer service, the food is mediocre and bland. You can get a bagel from nicer people somewhere else.

Stopped by this bagel place as we were hungry on our way to the Barnes & Nobles nearby and ordered a turkey sausage, egg and cheese bagel. The staff were nice and the bagel was good but I have to take a star off due to the confusing menu pricing structure and lack of prices on the beverages on the fridge. I wish they would include the pricing on the drinks because I got an orange juice and I felt incredibly ripped off. Just feel like this location is way overpriced for what it is offering. 4% discount if you pay in cash by the way

The bagels are indisputably the best around but I'm taking stars off for the store nickel and diming customers on everything else. Aside from my dozen bagels I ordered turkey sandwiches and discovered after paying that each sandwich was charged .75 extra for lettuce and 1 dollar extra for tomato. That's just obnoxious. I'd rather see it all rolled up as a cost of a turkey sandwich. Seeing that I paid $1.75 for lettuce and tomato has assured that I will never order anything other than bagels from here again. There's also a "4% discount built into the pricing" if you pay in cash, meaning they charge you 4% for using credit card.

Very nice staff and my favorite bagels in New York. Crispy on the outside and chewy inside.

The bagels were so good! Handmade and fresh. You can get sandwiches or just keep it simple like me and get your bagel toasted with butter. Either way you will not be disappointed. When I'm back in area I will definitely stop back in.

Something's never change. Still have the Turkey explosion. My favorite bagels in NYC. People are super cool and efficient. In the "new" location you can see the bagels in production in the back. Best bagels

First time ordering here. The bagels are delicious and we ordered whitesalad sand and a lox sand. Both were huge and delicious, we could only eat half they were so big. Will definitely order again!!

This experience was not as good as the last time. I asked for a Greek omelette but with no olives or onions due to health issues. As you know, Greek omelettes come with feta cheese MIXED into the eggs but this place made the eggs and put a HUGE scoop of feta cheese that was so overwhelming. I had to scoop some out and throw it out. It was too much.

No Air Conditioning in this place during our June 2024 heat wave! Sweating as I was eating my food. They're either too cheap to use it or it's broken. Only ceiling fans on! Don't plan to eat in this place during the summer!

Holy Hell this place is the real deal. Toasted salt bagel with chive cream cheese, lox and the works was melting in my mouth delicious. Also their black and white cookie is the best I've ever tasted!

I just got a bagel. There is a large selection of flavors and the bagels are large. They're a bit soft for my taste. The place was very busy but counter service was quick.

They are an ok place. They got the order pretty wrong and I only ordered 2 bagels. The quality of the bagels themselves were good but the toppings were average. Hopefully next time will be better.

Great bagels! Very soft and chewy with the crunchy crust. There is always a line in the morning because the hospital is right across but the staff is super fast! By the way, there is an extra 4% charge on the total if paying with card.

The Best. Super friendly people. Really good bagels. What else can you ask for? It does get busy some mornings. But they they're super fast and there's always like a lot of people of working there so it moves quick.

Still one of my absolute favorite places in this city. Haven't been here for 8 years - came back, exactly what I remembered. The bagels and bialys are great. The muffins (buttered and grilled!) are great too. The staff is fun - like a crew on a pirate ship, on the brink of mutiny. It's chaotic on busy days, but worth the wait.

I honestly haven't had a good bagel in years so I stopped buying them. 2 weeks ago I stopped on La Bagel Delight. It was kinda confusing but I eventually joined the long line to order. It moved pretty fast btw. I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. The bagel was quite tasty and so was the cream cheese but they put too much on it. I had to scrape a lot of it off. Overall this is a solid bagel shop.

Excellent bagel shop close to Prospect Park! The inside is roomy and welcoming and the service was so helpful, even letting us try samples! There's a huge variety of everything and I decided on a whole wheat everything bagel with scallion tofu cream cheese, lox, tomato, and capers. It was a loaded sandwich that took me a solid half hour to eat. It was delicious, with fluffy, doughy bagels, generous portions of lox, and glob of cream cheese. The price was pretty steep at almost $20 for a bagel and it reminded me of Manhattan prices. But that's Park Slope for you!

Honestly wow. I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox. So much cream cheese, lox and goodness. The bagel itself is super fresh and chewy and flavorful. So good. My bf got an everything bagel with eggs, bacon, ham and cheese. And let me tell you that thing was massive. They definitely don't skimp out on their fillings! Will be coming back.

Multiple people recommended this place to me, so I made a special trip to try the bagels here. The bagels didn't live up to their hype. We ordered a bagel that was supposed to have feta cheese on it, but they didn't have feta, so we got mozzarella instead. The mozzarella was pretty disappointing because it didn't give the same tang that feta does. The bagel lacked flavor and depth. We also got a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese, and that was pretty standard. I'm pretty upset about the egg bagel, but the cinnamon raisin one was ok. Maybe I should have just ordered a different bagel since they didn't have the right cheese.

I have been coming here for the past 6 months or so and typically get either a cinnamon raisin bagel or blueberry bagel. I can't believe I have not seen anyone else in the comments bring this up, maybe the changed the recipe or the way they are storing the bagels have changed but these bagels taste like legit chlorine. I thought I was going crazy, maybe my taste buds have changed but I asked my boyfriend to try it and he immediately spit it out. Has anyone else notice this chlorine taste? It's just awful and lingers in your mouth. There aren't too many bagel spots in walking distance so I keep coming back to see if it will be different and it never is. What is up with this chlorine taste???

BOBBY BAGELS! Best bagel I've had for sure. I had a pastrami nova lox cream cheese on an everything bagel and it was choice. Excellent iced coffee, and Bobby makes you feel right at home. It's no question why this place has been around 37 yrs. You want to be blown away by a bagel? Go here.

I'm super simple when I comes to bagel. I just get a sesame bagel. Not toasted. Lol. And I got one here couple days ago and it was nice and fluffy and delicious! I'll definitely stop by again. There were plenty of other customers there on a Thursday morning around 8:45am. If you're ordering a sandwich, I'll prob come a tad early so you give yourself enough time. All the staff members were efficient and prompt. I didn't get any attitudes so my experience was pleasant. They also had good looking pastries too!

1 star if you get the guy who I managed to piss off because I had the audacity to ask what the price of my bagel was. Same thing this morning. He doesn't want to help me or he thinks it's his right to act like rude to me. Today's bagel adventure - too my order - didn't start my order and started helping someone else. I don't think he's an owner but he is long in the tooth to be a "bagel boy".

Been wanting to try this place for ages but was never in the neighborhood but finally I am in the area and can try this place out. There is plenty of options on the menu with various different types of bagels, various cream cheese and a different variety of sandwich options. Everyone working there is extremely nice and efficient, they take your order right away and the food comes out soon after. The bagels are amazing - I don't think that you can go wrong with them. They are definitely large and will fill you up! Their sandwiches are also super tasty and in the beginning I was surprised to see that they were more expensive than the usual deli sandwiches but they are so worth it. They are super tasty and majority of the sandwiches are HUGE. I have yet to try out their sweets but they look super good as well. The only downside is I'm not a huge fan of their coffee - their ice coffee tasted a little burnt to me but I will definitely be back for the sandwiches for sure!

I had pretty high hopes for this place and I do plan on giving them another shot I just wasn't to impressed with my breakfast sandwich. I got the Midwest monster. Comes with thick cut bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese on a garlic bagel. The bacon was extremely greasy... it made my whole sandwich a grease ball and it wasn't crispy at all. Maybe due to how fatty the cut was. The egg itself was just bland. It's a big sandwich which I'm not complaining about. You for sure get your moneys worth! It just wasn't the most flavorful for me. I did however really like the bagel and will for sure return for that purpose alone! I know they have to have some other great options because the was a long line the minute I walked up! I'm excited to try again!

This is like my 17th time coming to this location but hadn't been for about a year. I was craving a good sandwich... like a really good sandwich. The bodega wasn't gonna cut it (although there are some awesome bodega sandwich spots, don't get me wrong) Then it hit me that I wanted a Hot Pastrami Sandwich... and I b-lined it to this spot on 7th ave It was everything I remembered. Massive, juicy, a bit messy and DELICIOUS! So good. It's appropriately priced at around $10... I know that's kinda expensive when you hear it but it's a huge sandwich. You can def eat half and he happy. I've never ordered anything else here so this 5 is totally based off one sandwich and consistency. The place is clean and all that stuff too My order: Hot Pastrami on a Hero with American Cheese, lettuce, mayo and a little mustard on one side.

The service here was very poor; one of the cashiers kept telling me to go to the back. When I asked when my order was coming out, he kept telling me "soon" though I kept seeing customers who ordered after me receiving their orders. When I told him about this, he sarcastically replied, "What, you've been waiting like 1-2 minutes?" Dude, you're not even the owner.

Delicious, clean, precise, and extremely fast service wow! A tad pricey. It can be a little hectic and confusing for first timers on where to go but the male workers are so nice and helpful. The female cashiers however, are extremely rude smh kinda ruined the vibes. idk very strange hater behavior. thats the only negative thing I have to say about this place.
