Great pizza! super fast delivery. we had 2 large pizza and we had leftovers. We had the margarita pizza- which is the American version of a cheese pizza. The second was a Hawaiian. Both thin crust each slice is the size of your head lol.

First time visiting this restaurant in Garmisch Germany. We walked to it from the hotel a couple blocks down the road. The restaurant is next to the main road and easy to get to. There is a really large covered outdoor seating area as well as an indoor dining room. The service was really good with the server attentive and friendly. The pizza we ordered was really good and a good portion. It’s big enough for two people. The only small negative thing was the fact that there was not an English menu. Thank goodness for Google translate. We will definitely go back.

We had an amazing dinner at this pizzeria. They were very busy but were still able to make space for us without a reservation. The pizza is phenomenal and so crunchy & delicious! 🍕 Our servers were very polite and made sure we had what we needed. If you’re wanting a good meal with delicious dessert, you’ll want to go here!

Best Pizza & Tiramisu in Garmisch-Partenkirchen – Family-Friendly Italian Restaurant La Baita in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is easily one of the best Italian restaurants in Bavaria. If you’re searching for authentic pizza in Garmisch-Partenkirchen or “best pizza near me,” this is the place to go. The pizza is outstanding — thin, crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and flavor. It’s the best pizza in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The highlight for dessert is their incredible strawberry tiramisu. It’s light, flavorful, and the perfect way to finish an Italian meal. On top of the food, the service at La Baita is excellent. The staff are welcoming, attentive, and make you feel right at home. For families, this restaurant is a gem ..they offer kid-friendly food options, high chairs, and comfortable seating, making it one of the best family-friendly restaurants in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. La Baita is a must-visit. Great food, warm service, and a welcoming atmosphere for both couples and families.

We visited a charming Italian restaurant in Garmisch and were absolutely delighted! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, like a little slice of Italy in the Alps. The seafood dishes were outstanding – the fish was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, while the seafood risotto was rich and full of fresh, delicate flavors. The service was impeccable – attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. A wonderful place to enjoy a special meal after a day in the mountains. Highly recommend!

Truly Authentic Italian Experience! From the moment you walk into this gem of a restaurant, you're transported straight to Italy. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between rustic charm and elegance, with warm lighting and inviting aromas wafting from the kitchen. The menu is a celebration of classic Italian cuisine — fresh, seasonal ingredients brought together with passion and simplicity. I highly recommend starting your meal with the baby calamari — perfectly tender, lightly crisped, and served with a delicate hint of citrus that elevates the flavor. They were simply divine and a testament to the kitchen's expertise in seafood. I had the pleasure of trying the Vitello Tonnato. The thinly sliced, melt-in-your-mouth veal paired beautifully with the velvety tuna-caper sauce. The combination was elegant, balanced, and every bite felt like a true Italian classic brought to life. The wood-fired pizza had a thin, crispy crust and toppings that tasted like they were flown straight from Naples. Service was impeccable, with knowledgeable staff who made excellent wine recommendations and truly cared about creating a memorable dining experience. To top it all off, the tiramisu was flawless — light, creamy, and just the right balance of coffee and sweetness. If you're searching for authentic Italian food that feels like a trip to the heart of Italy, this place is a must-visit. Buonissimo! 🍷🍝🍕

Yelp
Pasta was excellent! Flavorful, hot and sooo tasty! My partner had lasagna which terrific. The servers were sooo busy but very attentive The service outstanding. I would definitely return. I would siggest reservations as this place is hopping.

Yelp
Got the 4 cheese pizza and added spicy salami which turned out to just be pepperoni. Flavor of the pizza was OK. However the blue cheese doesn't work well mixed in my opinion and I would just make it a 3 cheese pizza next time without it. Service was good but took a while to get check. Beers were cold.

Yelp
We needed to do some laundry and this restaurant was conveniently located across the street from the laundromat (which I also recommend). Best food we've had since we got to Germany. My husband had the Seafood Risotto and I had the Mushroom Risotto they were both excellent.

Yelp
We came at 8 pm on a Thursday, the restaurant was mostly full but thankfully could fit us in. We ordered two pizzas, two side salads and an appetizer. The cost was decent and the food was great. Everything came out very quickly. No frills for us as we have picky children but they were very happy!

Yelp
There were a lot of great options here and the food was phenomenal! We were in on a Saturday night, so it was a little noisy. Service was friendly. However, the oil smell from the food sticks on your clothes, so just make sure you can rinse/air out whatever you wear afterwards!

Yelp
Delicious! Parking is a little tight but worth it. They take credit card. The squid was great and the food came out fast.

Yelp
Food was very good at reasonable prices. Service in the other hand is lacking and could use some attention. Yes, the restaurant is very busy and wait staff appear to be over stretched with their serving areas. We had to ask multiple times for dishes, drinks, oil and vinegar and lastly the check which took 3 times of asking. We ate outside on the patio. It was nice but the flies were a bit overbearing. This is a nice place to eat while in Garmisch. Friendly people, decent affordable food. You may have to wait so be patient.

Yelp
What's not to like about La Baita? Excellent food, excellent service, accepts both cash and card, parking spaces available, plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors... it was one of our favorite places to eat while in the Garmisch/Grainau area! Be warned that the restaurant is closed in the middle of the day from 2:30pm-5:30pm, and it does get pretty packed during peak dinner times. My family and I arrived right at 5:30pm without a reservation and were quickly seated. There are English speaking portions on the menu, making it convenient for those who don't speak German. Two of the staff members spoke English as well, and we had no issues with communication. The food was very authentic and some of the best (and only) Italian food we've had in Germany. The pizza diavolo wasn't spicy at all and can easily be shared among 3-4 people. The calamari we ordered came out towards the end of our other two dishes, but it was obvious that it was prepared and fried fresh. We also ordered three drinks with our three dishes with the total coming out to around 53 euros. Definitely worth the visit!

Yelp
3.5*, but rounding up for the service. We wandered in on an early evening in the middle of some rain, so it was nice and quiet. We thought about getting a pasta dish and a pizza, but seeing the size of the pizza and the pasta bowls at neighboring tables convinced us that just a pizza and a salad would be plenty! The tomato and cucumber salad was just that, tomatoes and cucumbers with a touch of olive oil, but the tomatoes were so good that they really didn't need much more than that to be delicious. The salad came out quickly, and the pizza wasn't far behind, which was a nice break from the usual leisurely German pace since we were starving after skipping lunch. The pizza was a solid Italian-style pie, and with the salad was plenty of food for the two of us. The service was the standout for us though; much more efficient than what we're found to be standard in Germany, and friendly to boot. When we ordered the pizza and salad to split, they brought us each half a pie on a plate, rather than making us muck around splitting it ourselves, and the check came quickly as well. Not the best pizza I've had in my life, but a good pizza with above average service made for a good meal in Garmisch for us.

Yelp
Our first day in this beautiful town, after traveling from the US. We had a wonderful pizza with anchovies capers and garlic. My husband tried some German beer, he was impressed. My sip was impressive too. The staff was very pleasant the atmosphere was so nice, recommend this place for a casual meal especially if you're jetlagged

Yelp
We visited Garmisch about six years ago and rated La Baita our #1 of 3 local Italian restaurants .. this go round I have to rate them #2. Service is absolutely excellent, but my meal just didn't seem to be on the same level as our previous experience. I saw the most reaction at our table over the flan; two more people absolutely demolished theirs. Will give it another try the next time I'm in town and see what happens!

Yelp
Being from the East Coast of USA I will say that this pizza even beats the pizza back home! Quality ingredients, great bread (they make it everyday) and the carbonara is absolutely divine! I wish I could transplant this place to my current city (Seattle). We would easily be regulars here. 5 stars for the service too!! Everything was so perfect. Exactly what dining out should be like! They even put our few leftover pizza slices in a little tiny pizza box. I love this place!

Yelp
Saw this place on our walk through the city and decided to pop in for a meal and, I am so glad we did. It is not in the city Center so you will need to walk a few mins to get to this place. The food here is excellent, the portions are big and very reasonable. I had a pizza which was fabulous and had nice toppings and the crust was excellent. I also had the Pannacotta which was amazing and I would come back for dessert anytime. Service here is nice and friendly and I would happily come back here anytime. Prima !!!

Yelp
Very busy place. Reservations recommended. Giant brick oven in the middle of the restaurant. Pizza seems to be the best thing to order, made fresh to order. Had the tomato soup and pesto gnocchi. Both were decent. Next time will definitely have a pizza. Recommend for family style dining and variety on the menu.

Yelp
Maybe 3.5 stars. I had pizza, my wife had salad and a pasta dish. Pizza was what I expected - thin crust, good toppings. Wife said her pasta was good, not great. Crowded, but that's to be expected since we were there Christmas week. We were able to get a same day reservation. Louder than other restaurants in the area - not sure why.

Yelp
My fiancée and I were in the area visiting and were craving pasta so we dropped in for lunch. It is not much to the eye, but as soon as we walked in we were greeted by a friendly gentleman who sat us immediately. The food was so stellar, we went back for dinner the next evening. Service is great as is the food. Only downside to La Baita is finding parking. I also recomend calling ahead for dinner reservations as it is very busy!

Yelp
Family atmosphere. I loved how they do the mozzarella and tomatoes pizza original. I did not like the fact that the toilet is downstairs but that's in most places around Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Yelp
We licked our plates clean. Pasta was amazing! We will definitely be back on our next trip.

Yelp
Arrived in Garmish after 10 pm. Heard the owner stays open as long as there are folks to cook for,so we arrived at the restaurant close to 10:20 pm. The Italian host was very gracious and the food was good! A casual big dining room with optional outdoor seating coupled with a varied menu with English subtitles offering four to five pages of Italian fare. We Had a good hearty onion soup, a huge garden dinner salad with lots of fresh veggies on it and s nice sized bowl of pasta abbriatta. The penne pasta was perfectly cooked and the wine hit the spot! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a welcoming vibe and good food.

Yelp
The food was authentic and delicious. Some of the best I've had. The waiter was very friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Great, authentic Italian pizza. Some of the best I've ever had. Their menu is extensive but easy to navigate (order by number) and is in German and English. I ate their twice in four days and had their Sicilian and salami, olive, peperoncini, ham, and mozz pizzas. Even with three waiters and a packed dining area (seems to be the local hot spot), we had outstanding service both times. Highly recommend this to anyone craving good pizza while in G-P.

Yelp
I'm very suprise to have such great Italian restaurant in this area during my visit. If you are on vacation or business trip and need some great italian food. This is the place. They got parking and on the main street.

Yelp
Good food. Actually ate here twice. First time easily split a pizza with a friend (2 women) and then we had room to share a dessert. Second time had the Manicotti - not as good as their pizza - actually tasted like it had been microwaved from a box.

Yelp
Average food! Living in Germany we are spoilt with good Italian restaurants. We had tomatoe soup and pizza. The tomato soup was ok, not much better than tinned soup and there was no bread with it. Just some bits of croutons that were soggy. The pizza was ok but very average. Service was ok, they were quite nice. Would nt go Back in a hurry.

Yelp
Best Italian restaurant in Garmisch. Pasta tastes homemade. Fast service.

Yelp
Great food and service. Would recommend to anyone wanting good Italian food at good prices. The portions are very generous and the variety is extensive.

Yelp
We actually drive all the way from Munich just to have pizza here! simply divine. Everything about it is perfect!

Brandon B.

Yelp
This place was amazing. We had to come back a second day in a row! The prices are not bad, either. We paid 18 euro for a pizza, a pasta, and 2 glasses of red wine.

Qype User (joshua…)

Yelp
I would say it is the best Italian food hands down, I have ever tasted. The service was amazing. The waiter spoke english, italian, and german. Most plates ranged from 10 to 15 Euro. If you are going to Garmisch you MUST TRY IT HERE!!!!!!!! Wonderful experience especially since I was trying to find a different resteraunt.
