La Bamba Supermarket

I used to go to armandos but since i have found la bamba i dont go anymore. The food is great. The staff always nice and they remember you. And they also have a market. I havent found one bad thing about this place. Dedinately need to try if you havent.

Disappointed. Bragged to my sister about how cool the market was so we stopped cost us $35 for 12 tamales and a drink and the tamales where all the putter dough barely and meat and the chicken had absolutely no flavor. Way over priced for the quality.

Definitely loved this place! It's an all in one, and the food was delicious 😋 we seen a post about it and decided we definitely had to try the birrias and see if was the authentic taste we've been searching forever for, and it is!! I'm coming here every weekend for more lol, the service is amazing and the food is amazing, I swear try the birrias they are to die for‼️😍

Hope you like onions bc whatever you order is just gonna be filled with them and a block of cheese

Nothing better than a good menudo on a subzero day. La Bamba's menudo was good for the ocation and the service was very good. Now we have to go back to try their tacos.

Food was fantastic, especially the gorditas !

Everything is good here. I love their breakfast. Get the chorizo and eggs at least 1 time a week. Tacos are the bomb. They have great lunch specials. The CHEF loves to sing so that is a bonus to hear someone who lives their job.

I tried the carryout version of Beef tacos and beef enchilada dinner. They were excellent , lots of meat , and cheese, tomato and lettuce in tacos all fir $2.50 each. The enchiladas were absolutely delicious. There was plenty of beans and rice! We will be back and sit down. I can not wait try the menudo.

Went looking in my neighborhood for a big can of Hominy to make Pozole. I way overpaid for the can of hominy, BUT, my daughter saw the eating area and asked if we were eating. So we sat down to eat, I ate the enchilada lunch, and my daughter had the milanesa kids lunch. They were both delicious. The chicken was juicy and breaded and cooked so good. although the portion of rice was small, it was fresh, hot and delicious. The refried beans were also very good. And while i probably wont make it a point to go here, I would stop if I was in the area and hungry.

This place is the best kept Mexican food restaurant and bodega aka party store down river . Period! Good food friendly staff, good music , lots of Mexican sodas , this place has awesome traditional Mexican food ! It also has small butcher shop and nice looking steaks . I'd love to recommend one specific dish from the taqueria but I swear everything is traditional and everything is good! Friendly employees and phenomenal food. The al pastor literally made me bliss out and I could not think of anything other than my meal. When you are eating food that evokes this kind of feeling, you know you've found something amazing. My family will be repeat customers for a long time now, I am sure!

The food is fresh and delicious and seasoned perfect. Portions are generous. If you're lucky the cook will sing as he cooks your order.

Best tacos in Lincoln Park / Melvindale / Allen Park. Only tried the tacos tho. It's connected to a supermarket.

The people are super friendly and the food they cook up is outstanding. They compete with dozens and dozens of Mexican restaurants in Lincoln Park and Southwest Detroit and their taco's and Carne Asada Fries are better than ALL the others. Besides the great food they can cook for you, they have quite a few different things on their shelves you can buy as well... They even have KEWPIE- Japanese mayo!!

Best Al Pastor I have had in Michigan. Great place, great people, great food. Huge selection of snacks in the store too!

HOT n New so excited this brand new Mexican restaurant and Market finally open. The market been open over a year now, I watched them build the addition from ground up on Fort Street next to BC'S Pizza. Number 63 Downriver known as Mexican Town 2.0. Great family owned business straight outta SW Detroit via Jalisco Mexico. Such a bright beautiful eating spot you must visit. Outstanding Lunch Specials only $5.99 gets your choice of 2 Taco's Rice n Beans was Wonderful. Flavorful Al Pastor sliced off the spit topped with Cilantro n Onions. She had a Chicken Quesadilla absolutely fantastic. I tried the Children Enchiladas in Salsa Verde WOW some of the very best ever eaten. Also Chicken Enchiladas in Red Sauce awesome without the heat. Thanks Oscar on the Flattop and the owners for a great experience. Super selection of Meats so a butcher shop too.
