"La Bomba in Humboldt Park is a casual Puerto Rican spot, and you’re here for the jibarito. It consists of charred, tender beef between two fried plantains plus tomato, lettuce, and cheese, and a delicious garlic mayo that ties everything together. It will make your breath bad for days, but it’s completely worth it." - Adrian Kane

Unexpected date nights are the best, especially when you’re craving Mexican food! Stopped by La Bamba in Plymouth and it did NOT disappoint. 🥑 Started off with their house-made guacamole – fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor. 🌯 I went for the steak burrito, smothered in rich red enchilada sauce – hearty and satisfying! 🍗 She got the Pollo Chipotle Chicken – super flavorful with just the right amount of spice! 🌶️🔥 🍩 Ended on a sweet note with churros – crispy, warm, and dusted in cinnamon sugar. Great spot for authentic flavors, good portions, and a cozy vibe. If you’re in the area, definitely check it out!

Google
La Bamba Tacos & Tequila is a new favorite in Plymouth. I loved their flavorful salsa and the unique chicken fajita salad served in an edible, crispy taco bowl. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the staff was very friendly. Plus, their menu with pictures made ordering a breeze!

Omfg I can't say enough positive things about this place. The service was great. The food outstanding. The drinks were SO OOOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! Best margaritas I've ever had. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED GOING!!!

We really looked forward to eating here with all the positive reviews. The server was so nice and efficient . . . but we were really, really disappointed in the entrees. The steak was so chewy it was inedible and they forgot to deep fry the Chimichanga so it was mush. The prices charged don't reflect the quality of the food :(

Google
We just moved to Plymouth and wanted to find our new regular Mexican restaurant, and this was perfect for us! We ordered the margarita flight (jalapeño, strawberry, and mango flavors), birria tacos, a quesadilla, and a chile rellano- everything was very tasty! The food came out super fast, so we didn’t really have time to enjoy the chips and salsa before dinner, but we didn’t mind. We ended up sitting for a while after we finished dinner just to enjoy the patio while we had more chips. The first refill of your chips and salsa is free, but after that it’s $3 per basket. Overall we really enjoyed our experience!

Hubby and I were looking for a new place to try. We happened upon Labama. Easy to get in and out of. Parking lot was a little small but there were plenty of places to part. It had a nice upbeat Mexican Restaurant vibe to it. I had a piña colada. It was pretty tasty. Next we had the chips and salsa. Perfecto! They definitely nailed it with the salsa. I had the pork carnitas, which are my absolute favorite. The meat was super tender. The flavor was perfect. It came with a side of soft and tasty, but very thin tortillas. I like my tortillas to be a little ticker, like mama used to make. Hubby had a veggie burrito and he really enjoyed it. Our waiter, Alberto, gave us some hotter salsa. I highly recommend it if you have the stomach for it. Everything was great. Food came out quick and hot. We ordered some churros for dessert but I had to bring mine home as I was way too full. The place was clean and inviting. Food was flavorful and abundant. It's definitely worth a visit.

Closer to 5 if you consider Tex Mex outside of TX....Stopped here for an afternoon snack on a random Friday. The staff were really very friendly and accommodating of my questions about vegetarian beans. Ordered the nachos and they were able to do black beans! Was true tex Mex, super gooey, yummy and fresh- made me miss TX. Would come back if in the area to try more things as they seem very accommodating. Clean and friendly.

Google
Absolutely A-MA-ZING! We had the super nachos with ground beef, the chicken quesadilla and the steak street tacos. For drinks, I ordered the sangria and my fiancé ordered the Fiesta Margarita for us to share. The drinks were very well made, easy to sip and deceptively strong. All the dishes arrived lightning fast, were authentically Mexican and ridiculously well served. We had to ask for to-go boxes. Jennifer, our server, was friendly, warm and fast. I’ll definitely come back and recommend La Bamba to everyone I know in Plymouth.

Yelp
Ok we begin with very good vibes. The chips were warm, toasty and home made - off to a good start. The salsa was homemade woohoo. It was the perfect blend of sweetness with a finishing touch of a just enough spicy. I ordered the ribeye steak and shrimp. The steak was marinated by a pro, tender and juicy. The staff was attentive and was filled with initiative. I'll be back

Yelp
This place has great food and reasonable prices. Chips and salsa are complimentary and made fresh. I had a combo with pork enchilada and ground beef hard shell taco. It comes with refried beans and rice. Parking in the attached lot. They play fun Mexican music. There is a bar, indoor and outdoor seating.

Yelp
New to Plymouth, new to LaBamba. The menu has several options including some gluten free and vegan options. Large portions with very nice presentation. Staff are very friendly. Service very good. Prices reasonable. Margaritas very good. I enjoyed the Tacos Al Pastor while my dining companion enjoyed the Bamba tacos. I must admit everything on the menu looked good and it was difficult to choose. I'll just have to make a return visit. Food was appropriately spicy.

Yelp
Our new favorite for Mexican food on the South Shore. Ambiance quaint, clean, cozy and nicely decorated Mexican motif. Big booths. Excellent, friendly and attentive service by Cintia. Ordered the guacamole and Bamba nachos with beef. For our entrees, tacos de Camaron and the Birria (beef stew). For dessert, flan and toffee cake. All perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back and try the other items on the menu.

Yelp
Great food and friendly service. Really high quality meat and sides cooked perfectly.

Yelp
4 of us arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and there were tables inside, outside, and 4 chairs at the bar available. FOOD: Cheese dip is excellent, perfect consistency, chopped jalapeños gave it a decent heat. Chips are fresh and crunchy. Complimentary salsa has a really nice flavor, one of the best salsas I have had. Guac was disappointing. They make it here, but the consistency was kinda gooey, not creamy like when you just open an avocado up and mash it immediately. It was $10. I would probably get again if they offered it made table side, although I understand that is labor intensive and not something all places are able to do. The spinach enchiladas were tasty, plenty of spinach and mushrooms, and the rice and beans were wonderful accompaniments. The Rojas enchilada was also excellent. SERVICE: Ramon took good care of us. Immediately after we sat down he came over to take our drink order. He was busy with many other tables, but was accessible for when we were ready to order our next course or for drink refills. BAR: Seats look comfy, although we sat in a booth, which was also good size and comfortable to sit at. I got the ultimate margarita, with Herradura anejo, on the rocks, it was excellent. $16.75. It's often challenging to get a margarita with the right amount of alcohol and not overly sweet mixer, but the La Bamba bartender nailed it. The house chardonnay was a generous pour. ATMOSPHERE: Authentic feeling decor, clean inside. Even when busy, it is easy to carry on conversations without having to shout. There is also outdoor seating when weather permits. We parked one street over, but discovered there were a couple of spots available in their front parking lot. Next time I'll probably do lap in front to see if there are any open, before parking on the street nearby or in paid parking.

Yelp
The food was delicious, so many choices on the menu, our server was great! Definitely will be back!

Yelp
Excellent food service and Vibe. My enchiladas were delicious and wife's tacos as well. Cold yummy drinks and great flan.

Fatboy S.

Yelp
Real solid spot for some Mexican food. The tacos and taco salad were very good, as well as the margarita flight. Service was friendly and on point. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Yelp
If you are looking for delicious authentic Mexican food, a welcoming atmosphere, and tasty Margaritas this place has it all. The waitstaff are very friendly and make you feel at home. The drink menu has a lot of different choices and the menu is chock full of different dishes it's actually very hard to choose. We ordered the nachos with chicken from the appetizer menu that didn't disappoint. Every bite was delicious. We then had shrimp quesadillas with moist succulent and good sized shrimp We definitely will be going back to try other dishes and enjoy pleasant conversations at the bar.

Yelp
Had the BEST chicken flautas and of course an Ultimate Margarita! The staff / Alberto was patient with our late arrival Large portions Eating my leftovers now'

Christine C.

Yelp
Not great. Service was slow, and the food was mediocre at best. There are much better options on the south shore.

Lori C.

Yelp
Finally a true Mexican restaurant in Plymouth the service is amazing, you feel welcomed the moment you step inside and the food is fabulous the hardest part is deciding what to order the menu is quite extensive and prices are great the beat margaritas i have ever had wonderful staff !!

Emma B.

Yelp
This is a great little spot in Plymouth, with good food, service, and ambiance. It has all the vibes of a classic Mexican restaurant. We had enchiladas, carne asada, and some great white cheese dip.

Christopher W.

Yelp
We had a great lunch at La Bamba. The hostess and waitress were very quick and friendly. It was quiet when we arrived, and that probably helped. The chips were unremarkable, but the salsa was good. Pork carnitas were excellent, with a bit of bark on the roasted meat. My companion's chili verde looked good, too. The bar seemed well stocked and welcoming, but we were on the road so didn't partake. Recommend.

Lyn B.

Yelp
My favorite place to get shrimp tacos! The servers are friendly and the food comes very quickly. Definitely worth a try.

Jeanne K.

Yelp
A spectacular Mexican Restaurant! By far one of the best I've ever been to. Five star service with incredibly delicious and fresh Mexican cuisine! I would highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Yuliana G.

Yelp
Checked this place out after a lot of recommendations to go here, was honestly a little disappointed:( The restaurant it's self was really cute, small and nice. My menu however was very dirty and had food smudges all on the inside, the appetizers plates when they were brought out one was dirty and the server put her finger on the plate to remove the crumbs and then set it back down on the table. The food was okay! My hubby got a burrito that he liked and I got this dish that sounded good on the page but I wasn't really into it. The chicken bits in the dish I got seemed like something was off about them. The Gauc was really good however!

Harry M.

Yelp
Food was amazing service was great ate my whole burrito and loved it thank you la bamba

Yelp
If you visit this restaurant they prefer cash vs credit card. therefore if you don't carry cash they charge you a fee of at least 5% of the total bill. They will not see me again.

Patrick G.

Yelp
We've been meaning to try this place out ever since some friends raved about it after they gathered there following Plymouth's 2022 Thanksgiving Parade. Tonight was the night! I had the Los Compadres burrito, which combined both chile verde and chile colorado. Delicious! My dinner companion had the child's enchilada with rice and beans. She was wholly satisfied. We also brought excellent tacos al pastor home for another family member. Everything was a hit! Don't waste your time at some of the pale imitations of Mexican cuisine one finds around Plymouth--head straight to La Bamba!

Stephen S.

Yelp
A good Mexican restaurant just outside downtown Plymouth. Cute bar. Good drinks. The food on first visit was OK. Not great but good. A little cold. We'd sat outside which was pleasant. Server was very nice however he was covering from inside bar. Made the service a little slow. I'll definitely be back for another go.

C S.

Yelp
Here on a Saturday, staff very friendly and attentive. Ordered the enchiladas which was just ok as filled with dark meat chicken, also ordered a soup and I was expecting an averaged sized bowl of the Mexican shrimp soup. This bowl was enormous and enough for six people. It also was ok, tomato broth lots of shrimp but overall underwhelming. The waitress should tell the customer that this bowl is huge and meant for a family, not a single individual.

Margaret B.

Yelp
Love it here they slayyy the fatijas are my fav the margaritas rock my world and make me less of a bitch

Susanne C.

Yelp
Food is spotty. Had some great food such as the street tacos and enchiladas and then some not so good like the nachos and taco salad. Service is very friendly and efficient. House margaritas are super sweet and tasteless. No draft beers.

Nathan S.

Yelp
Disgusting! Too bad I can't leave Zero stars?! Ate there one time, burrito was ice cold. I threw it away when no one was looking because I don't send food back. Gave it one more try on a friend's request, tacos were ice cold. That's it for that dump! Good luck Be prepared to get food poisoning

Rayna K.

Yelp
Fast service, food came out fast and hot. It was delicious! I had the Bambas tacos. The ambiance was nice, the decor and music was good.

Kimberly W.

Yelp
The shredded chicken Bomba burrito was absolutely delicious! Great chambers frozen margarita as well. Nice atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff! We will be back!!

Cody S.

Yelp
My fiancé and I have been to La Bamba quite a few times since they've opened. I'm gluten sensitive and they have a couple of really good options, especially the enchiladas suizas. The service has been on point every time since we've gone. The restaurant itself is small and charming and we've always had a great experience!

Clarence B.

Yelp
I wish I could give this place a million stars!!!!! Seriously, the last place I would expect to have great Mexican food is Plymouth Mass. If you are from Plymouth, this location is where Friendlys Ice Cream was... I happened to be driving by on my way to Sam Diegos and decided to stop in. WHAT A GREAT SURPRISE!!! Having spent 20 years in Los Angeles, I have eaten all types of Mexican food, some better than others. The one thing that stands out about this restaurant is the fresh ingredients. The rice, the beans, the meat everything seems so tasty, the salsa has so much definition and the portions were monstrous. I can't say enough about this place, the people are great (Jennifer our host was so nice and attentive) and the food is stellar. Check this place out, like me, you will find a new favorite!!! ...

Luke D.

Yelp
Amazing service quick and delicious! Vegan options available which is nice and the outdoor seating is pretty great as well!!

Scott S.

Yelp
Plymouth wasn't very blessed with Mexican establishments until now. This was not only a good, inexpensive restaurant, but the food and service was a nice surprise. Super Nachos were fantastic and very satisfying. Lady had street tacos and I had the Los Compadres burrito, which was a chix/beef combo. The quality of the food, excellent. Margaritas were done perfectly. The place was rocking for any rainy Saturday in winter. Only complaint was the fried ice cream was sold out. Bring whoever. I really hope this place lasts for a very long time. Good atmosphere and clean. Puts many places to shame.

David T.

Yelp
Authentic Mexican fare. We sat at the bar. I ordered the tacos and my wife ordered the combination meal with a taco, enchilada and fajita. The meat in all our dishes was tender, flavorful and enough leftover to take home. The ultimate margaritas were not to sweet and had a kick of fuel to them. Small restaurant but the ambiance is perfect for one or two people or a whole family dining experience.

TJ M.

Yelp
I reviewed my posting about this restaurant and discovered that I had mistyped. I "was not" disappointed.

Kelly B.

Yelp
Went for the first time with family. Food was really good. Our server was so friendly and very attentive. Their margarita flight is yummy. Overall, great atmosphere and we will definitely return.

Elina G.

Yelp
We got a flight of La Bamba signature margaritas and they did not disappoint! The place is unassuming but extremely fair priced and everything was delicious. Would come back again when in the area.

Laurie H.

Yelp
We were so happy to stumble into this authentic tasting Mexican restaurant tonight. The food lived up to the hype. It was fresh and full of cilantro ( as it should be). We enjoyed the guacamole, spinach enchiladas and street tacos followed by vanilla flan. Delicious!

Michele S.

Yelp
Love this place! From the time you walk in the door you will have a great experience. The staff is amazing and so friendly. The drinks are top notch and the food...fantastic!! Went there last night with a friend and we could've stayed all night. I will be going back! best Mexican place in town and surrounding area. Michele S.

Yelp
I have been here several times . Everything my husband I have tried has been very successful. The service is quick and friendly. The ambiance is lovely and if feels very fresh and clean . I recommend it to everyone.

Tom A.

Yelp
My wife and I went for early dinner to avoid the crowd. My wife had a burrito and she enjoyed it. We each had a margarita they were very good. I had Enchiladas Tres Amigas and it was very good until I found a long hair in the refried bean. The waiter took my meal away and came back with the bill. They did comp my meal but was hoping they would come back with a one fresh enchilada and maybe some rice so I could at least finish my meal. I went home and made a sandwich; so much for La Bamba!

James M.

Yelp
Been here twice in a month. One was mid week at like 11 as soon as they opened for day. The second was last weekend lunch time. Food was good both times. First visit no complaints but honestly i think there was 2 tables. 2nd trip disaster. Their parking spot sizes are for a childs quad. A full size truck is tight and then you have everyone mad at you. Well I had one couple apparently dragged their car down the entire side of my truck. I asked to talk to manager and she wasnt in. I left a note for her and my number. A week later still no call. All I wanted was the plate number. Thanks for nothing and again to reiterate my note on my bill. The server I had absolutey sucked. Kept disappearing. Apparently he dual hats as server and bar tender. Noticed he kept making drinks for other tables as I sat waiting for our waters I asked for 20mins prior. I have a toddler screaming to leave but we can't get the bill and it took half an hour just to get to go box and bill.

M R.

Yelp
Great portions and flavor! I love the mango margaritas and queso and bean dip. Free chips and salsa. Inexpensive. I regularly come here to eat. The best!

Kim M.

Yelp
They did a great job with the inside of the restaurant. Food is good and very affordable nachos were loaded with chicken and my salad they substituted pork which was just what I wanted. No complaints. Great staff attentive and friendly.

Doug H.

Yelp
Outstanding food and drinks served by a very attentive staff. Huge menu with a variety of options for vegetarians. The mole' is dangerously good. Get there early as it gets busy.

Fletcher B.

Yelp
Stopped in for the first time this weekend and enjoyed really super street tacos with carnitas. Both their red and green salsas reminded me El Ciudad de Oaxaca back in the days before the turistas arrived. I can't wait to sample the whole menu.

Tracy B.

Yelp
Awesome new place in Plymouth. The food the staff and the ambience are amazing!! Authentic Mexican food - much needed in the area!!

Genna D.

Yelp
Omg... the food was absolutely amazing. The guacamole is awesome . The burrito I ordered was so flavorful. I'm serious when I say that this La Bamba place in Plymouth is by far the best Mexican food I've ever had . It's that good.

Liv S.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and go here, 10/10 food 10/10 service and reasonable prices. can't go wrong

Gina A.

Yelp
Food is excellent! All of our meals were fantastic. Truly authentic. Service was very good as well. All speaking the Mexican language which adds to the quaint ambience. Prompt and efficient. Must try!
