La Bamba Tacos

I was really looking forward to La Bamba Tacos based on the wonderful reviews. It came up short for me, we got a carnitas burrito and Birria tacos. The Birria tacos were definitely the highlight, flavorful, crispy, savory, and cheesy. The burrito tortilla was fresh but that’s where it ends. I can not suggest anyone get a burrito, rice and beans weren’t too flavorful and the carnitas weren’t crisped like they are supposed to be. I feel like I overpaid for our meal, I’ve had a much better, bigger, higher quality burrito for the same price.

10/10 recommend. The tortillas are fresh and the taste is so amazing. They had menudo on a Sunday morning also. I didn't try it, but I was told it was the second best he's ever had. Tucked away in a corner, but find it, and eat all of it.

The food was good for the most part. The carnitas must have been sitting in the warmer for a while because they were a bit dry. I noticed the restaurant was super clean and the cashier was friendly and even offered me a free empanada (that they were promoting) I would be come back.

Yall this place is so cute and clean!! I was kinda skeptical because it’s in an empty parking lot but the food and service was great! I got a barbacoa taco, pastor taco, and a carnitas tacos. Love the flavor of the pastor , carnitas were a little dry but good flavor with the sauces they provided.

La Bamba Tacos is INCREDIBLE. Please try their birria tacos with consome. I’m attaching a photo of how meticulous they are about packaging their to-go consome broth to prevent spills within the bag. This is impeccable and so very worthy of a huge compliment because they go above and beyond. I feel tremendous respect for a restaurant who shows care like this. La Bamba Tacos, you are fantastic!

Authentic Mexican flavor served with both corn and flour (tortillas de harina) and hand-made tortillas. It’s been decades since I last enjoyed a pozole verde, a dish originating in the Mexican state of Guerrero. Everything is delicious and the ladies taking the order or cooking are a pleasure to chat with. I have been here with my wife twice since we discovered the place. Highly recommend.

I really wanted to like this place since I heard they had homeade tortillas. But that's as good as it gets for me. The chips and salsa were lacking with the watered down queso. The meat in the tacos were bland. The staff were very nice but unfortunately that's not enough for me coming back. I'm sadly disappointed.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican comfort food, this taqueria is an absolute gem! Their pozole is hands-down the best I’ve ever had—rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with all the traditional fixings. You can taste the love and care in every spoonful. And don’t get me started on their homemade fresh tortillas—they are warm, soft, and have that perfect hint of toasty goodness that takes every bite to the next level. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the prices are more than reasonable for the quality of food you get. Highly recommend this place to anyone craving a true taste of Mexico. Five stars all the way!

Really enjoyed La Bamba, and will try again. I *loved* the warm salsa they served with tortilla chips. It was great w the freshly made guac also. Service was really friendly. Tacos were very good- shrimp flavorful, fresh tortillas. Carnitas were my favorite. Birria tacos very flavorful if you like fried. Rice and beans very good. Will definitely return.

New taqueria tucked away in a strip mall. Got the taco plate with 3 tacos, rice and beans. They have some pretty authentic flavors including the fried intestines, lengua, al pastor. We settled for the fried intestines, beef and potatoes, and barbacoa. We got it in corn tortillas and they were thick! But in a good way and you could yell they were fresh made. Tacos were loaded with meat and rice and beans had lots of flavor. I didn't see any salsa until afterwards when someone brought it back so would suggest more salsa bottles. Also got a horchata and it was probably the best I've had. It was so smooth and didn't have any grainy texture like a lot do. Not sure if they filtered it out but it was so good. Would happily return and try more of the menu!

We went here for authentic Mexican food and it was delicious. The restaurant was clean and plenty of searing. Music played and gave upbeat vibes. The lady who took our order was very kind and friendly. I love the large open are where you can see the cooks prepare the food.

I was looking for a new place to try tacos and saw the great reviews. La bomba is a nice and clean restaurant and the young lady who took our order was so kind. The food is well priced and I like that the taco plate comes accompanied by beans and rice. They give you the option of corn or flour which are made in house Fresh -- you can definitely taste the difference when you're eating a fresh tortilla. They provide you with complimentary chips in salsa both were warm and tasty. I ordered the fajita taco plate, the steak would have been better if it was cut in smaller pieces and was a better cut. The rice and beans were very tasty. Overall not bad but not great

I was in the area and decided to check out this new taco spot. We ordered the taco plate and birria tacos, and I love how they make their tortillas fresh! The birria tacos were some of the best we've had -- crispy, cheesy, and packed with flavor. Definitely coming back for these! The tacos were also solid and paired well with the salsas.

You need to try this new taco spot!! I have a feeling before long it will be hard to get a seat in this place. The staff here are so kind and helpful when ordering and bringing out your food! They even let us taste all the frescas which I can say are all amazing you can't go wrong but we decided on the hibiscus and tamarind ones which were perfectly sweet and refreshing. They then brought us complimentary chips hot off the fryer and homemade which were a perfect start. I cannot say enough good things about their tacos though! As a corn tortilla lover myself you can tell they made theirs with love as they were so fluffy and delicious. We ordered Tinga, Al pastor, barbacoa and Calabresa tacos and my favorites were the barbacoa and tinga but you really can't go wrong here!! We finished our meal with a delicious and rich flan which I would reccomend. Great prices, great food and friendly service it doesn't get better than that. We cannot wait to come back and try their pozole soup and Birria tacos soon!!

Are here today and we ended up throwing out all our food. The meat was worse than what I would serve to my dog. Dry and tasted spoiled. Horrible service, horrible food would not come back.

O M G this place is LEGIT!! The absolute best, authentic tacos. What puts La Bamba over the top is they make the tortillas to order (flour and corn). And with the open kitchen, you see them putting the dough through the press then on the flat top. We've done most protein options in these tacos, all excellent!! Their birria tacos are phenomenal. Chicken tinga super flavorful, al pastor delish, beef fajita also infused with flavor and always lean/high quality. Their taco sauces are super on point, including this peanut flavored one that is different and totally addictive! Even the chips n salsa (for order/sale, not complimentary) is outrageously excellent. Think we've eaten here 5 times now, every experience great. All the stars!!!

I love trying Mexican taco spots so when I was in Plano I had to check out La Bamba. They initially won me over with having Tripa tacos on the menu so I placed my order. When ordering they ask if you want the Tripas crunchy or soft. Since I don't like them extra crispy I settled on soft. Unfortunately they were too soft. Usually they at least come semi crunchy but these looked very undercooked. I understand it's a tough protein to get right. I will say the salsas were decent and the horchata was actually really good too. Maybe i'll go back and try again.

The best tacos I've had in a long time!! I used to travel to Mexico City a lot for work, and the tacos here are legit. Highly recommend the taco plate since you get to choose 3 tacos (my faves were al pastor, barbacoa, and tinga de pollo), choice of refried beans (black or pinto), and rice all for $10.99. The flavors are incredible plus they included half of a grilled jalapeño and grilled onions on the side and your standard lime, onions, and cilantro. I'm already planning to go back! Also the guac was perfection. And the corn tortillas are homemade?! So delicious. Want to call out that I ordered in English with zero issues plus they have a customer-facing digital screen while ordering so you can read (in English) exactly what is on your order. If it's wrong, that's on you.

If you like corn from the can this place is perfect for you. Not to mention the food and customer service are terrible.

Very clean place tucked into the corner of the strip mall. The food served was generous and such good quality. I really hope this humble location takes off. The he sweet ladies working here deserve it.

My family has tried more items from the menu than I have and they're always happy but I mainly wanted to add a review about how good the shrimp cocktail is. Delicious but also loaded with shrimp. I've never had a shrimp cocktail with that much shrimp. The staff is super friendly and the kitchen is visible to customers the way Chipotle does it. The restaurant is very clean with lots of seating and a few tvs. I've never dined in but it seems like a place I'd hang out in after my meal.

I'm not sure when La Bamba tacos opened, but it's relatively new and I'm so glad we found it!! Nestled in a shopping center near Parker and Alma, this little place is a gem. Everything is neat and clean inside, and the folks there are very friendly. Lots of good options to choose from, but on Saturdays they have Pozole - and it's amazing! Lots of chicken, not way too much hominy like some places, delightful flavor. So nice and warm on a cold day!! Husband got the pastor tacos, and thought they were very good. There were two hot sauces to go with them, both were spicy and delicious. The corn tortillas are homemade and fantastic, so are the chips. Their salsa was served warm, it was so fresh and satisfying - and I am generally a cold salsa girl!! Looking forward to going back and trying their agua frescas and more menu items. This one is a winner!!

First time at this new establishment which opened about January 4. They are located in a shopping center of small businesses with plenty of parking space. It's a casual semi fast food dining/pickup Mexican food restaurant. Good floor plan with the tables. You walk up to the counter and order your food from the above large menu on the wall. Restrooms are clean with soap and paper towels. The customer service is friendly and helpful. You can observe the kitchen food handlers prepare the orders from where you are seated. Mexican music and videos are played on the overhead TVs. The street tacos and super sized burrito was tasty. We will return soon to try the other menu items.

Solid taco joint. Friendly staff and fast service. Cooked to order. Can't say that I've had a bad experience here yet. Nothing fancy just a very good taco spot.

This is my fav new taco place. It was all so good and flavorful. Best part was the fresh made tortilla and green sauce. Omg the green sauce. Can't wait to try it again!!

La Bamba Tacos has delicious Mexican food and top-notch customer service! The staff is friendly, fast, and very welcoming! A great local spot worth coming back to time and time again. The food is amazing ranging from classic tacos/quesadillas to traditional Mexican desserts/drinks. Always made in house and fresh to order! Highly recommended!

Hands down the best tacos I've ever had--packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and perfect tortillas. You can really taste the love in every bite. Can't wait to go back!

Get the Birria tacos which were some of the best I've had. Generous amount of pulled pork but not too much. The grilled tortillas with cheese is largely what set these apart.

5 stars for service, 5 stars for authenticity with hand made corn tortillas, 5 stars for elote, 5 stars for chips and salsa (fresh house made chips!), 5 stars for the addition of jalapeño, lime, hot sauce etc. for tacos (much better than other taco places), 4 stars for meat (both fajita and lentils was good but seemed to be a bit bland). Can't wait to try other menu items on the near future.

I got the barbacoa torta and it was delicious, bread was perfect it didn't break apart right away and it has the perfect amount of ingredients!

We had take out and it was delicious. Guacamole and warm salsa were great, along with the Birria tacos. We will be back!
