I went twice. Once I went on a boat ride with a friend and the tacos were OKAY. I wish they had more flavor, and it was a bit pricey. The view was nice though. The second time I went for brunch with my two kids, and I loved it. I had more fun with them. We stayed below and ate a ton. I drank idk how many mimosas, lol. I had a lot of fun and so did my children. The food on the brunch occasion was a lot better than the first event. I would recommend it, it's fun and the view is great!

I went twice this summer and had an amazing time. The first time was the 6pm ride which is only an hour, it’s a quick boat ride but I enjoyed the good food and strong drinks. The second time I went for the 8pm ride which is two hours. We sailed past the statute of liberty and had amazing views of the city and Manhattan. It’s definitely worth the higher price. Also, I want to shout out the general manager, Eduardo, he was very attentive, checking on guests making sure we were okay and enjoying ourselves. The rest of the staff is great too, our server, Eric was amazing and took care of all our needs. I look forward to coming back!

Great way to view scenic city line and Statue of Liberty! Everyone was very friendly. It does get chilly but you can freely walk around and go inside to get out of the wind. We did the 8pm cruise and was really cool seeing the city at night coming back to the dock. Food was ok, we had the shrimp tacos (very spicy) and the mushroom tacos (lacked flavor)

Overall we had a great time, definitely is a little pricey once you get on the boat. Food was good Service was good Drinks were great! The view is beautiful! Fun for the whole family !

It was a good experience, we took the 8pm ride for $25, staff set up the seating if there is enough space upstairs so go early. The food was a bit expensive and drinks. I like the decor, the music was ok, no one was dancing. The views were amazing for two hours it was great. Friendly staff and attentiveness. Parking available but didn't use it.

Came for a work outing and the boat was great. Left a bit later than the scheduled time and the tacos were delicious! Can't beat the views of the city and helped it was perfect weather that day. The staff was friendly and accommodating, only downside was once we left our area to roam the boat there wasn't anyone there to deter others from getting free drinks/food as they were not part of our party. Otherwise, good times.

I had a great evening on the cruise for my nephew's 40th bd celebration. The staff was attentive and the food was really good! The spread included beer, wine, well drinks and a champagne toast. Guests enjoyed shrimp, chickenand beef Tacos. The guacamole was delicious and the music was💣 Thanks to the manager and wait staff for making the 2hrs around the harbor such a wonderful event!

La Barca is a booze cruise meets house party where everyone's mindset is to have a TIME! The staff is all about making sure the drinks keep coming and the photos keep getting snapped. Opt for the on the rocks margaritas which pack more of a punch than the frozen version. Nothing says core workout like being slightly tipsy in high heels on a moving boat. Their tequila flights are a well curated mix if you're curious to try a bunch of different brands and distillations. I loved my cochinita pibil tacos, but I wish the guacamole had more of a jalapeño kick to it. As a NYC local, you need to Barca at least once in your life. And if you're an out of towner, you'll hit all the landmarks while being lit - the only way to sightsee!

FYI, tickets to ride the boat are free for HK residents (double-check to see which dates/times). We got the 2pm tour on a Saturday, for 2 hours, which goes to the Statue of Liberty and back. Everyone was nice here, and it is stroller friendly! We left our stroller at home, but sat next to someone who had one.

My friend and I saw someone on Instagram posted that they were here and it looked really cool so we purchased tickets for a 5 o'clock boat tour for Sunday June 2nd and the price was $20 per person. I arrived earlier than my friend and I asked if there were seatings outside, but it was all occupied so I sat inside, which was nice and cool, and waited for my friend. When she arrived, we both stated how hungry we were so we quickly viewed the menu, and patiently waited for our waiter to place our order. While we waited, Spanish music was playing in the background and our waiter came over and we placed our orders. We both ordered the same thing which was the Fried Cod Tacos and a side of Chips and Guacamole, and for my drink, I had the Frozen Sangria Margarita, which was delicious I love a great frozen drink, and my friend opted for the Pomegranate Margarita which she also enjoyed. The guacamole in my opinion could've been better it lacked flavor and as for the fried cod tacos, I thought that it was fried too hard, although it did taste good, but the flavor came from the hot sauce that was on the table for me. After our meal, my friend was still hungry so she ordered the shrimp tacos which I personally did not like because it had a bitter taste and she didn't like it because it was too spicy for her so she ended up switching it and getting the steak tacos, which were fantastic. I couldn't eat after my fish taco and the bite of the shrimp taco because I then got motion sickness. Silly me, forgetting my Dramamine tablets at home lol. A woman named Keisha who so happened to be my friend's friend who was working on the boat, stop by spoke briefly, and then brought me a seltzer water with a splash of bitters in it to help. I don't think it did anything for me. Lol but I appreciate it. She also mentioned that we should try brunch there because it's amazing. All in all we had a fantastic time. I will go back again just more prepared with my motion sickness tablets lol and I do recommend. It was nice passing by the Statue of Liberty taking great photos and just overall enjoying great company. Cheers :)

Went for the 2 hour brunch around the Harbor. Beautiful views our waiter was on it! He kept our mimosas flowing. The food was good too! The DJ didn't miss a beat. Always a good time with great people!!

Had a wonderful time celebrating a friend's birthday for this Cinco de Mayo weekend! We came as a group of 15 and ordered a few of their Taco Towers, which comes with 3 of each of their tacos. Honorary shoutouts to the Pork Cochinta Pibil and Shrimp tacos, which were very flavorful, but they were all tasty! We also ordered a few pitchers of Margaritas, which were fine, and Chips and Guac to share, which had chips that were perfectly salted, YUM! We informed the staff that it was someone's birthday, to which they brought out complimentary churros to celebrate! Loved the views that we got to take in during this cruise as well. The staff is a bit slow, but otherwise friendly. Had a great time overall!

This was so much fun! I went with my husband and a few friends, and we had a great time! The food and drinks were really good, the server was very friendly and attentive, and you can't beat the view of the Statue of Liberty!

I wouldn't go back. The experience of being on a boat is definitely cool but I went when it was raining so I didn't get the full experience of sailing the ocean in NYC. The music was barely on, it was so low I couldn't hear what was playing. Our server was nice however the food was horrible. She recommended the cod tacos and said they were her favorite, all 4 of us who ordered it barely ate them. It tasted like frozen fish. The steak nachos, we were told they should be eaten with a knife and fork. I never heard that before. The margaritas tasted like juice. Yet we asked for them to be strong. The manager was nice enough to remove the tacos from the bill but as someone who loves Mexican food, I was highly disappointed. The side of guacamole doesnt come with chips, that is a separate option on the bill for $22.

Fun, That's pretty cool way to enjoy some tacos. We had a really nice server and all of the staff there seem pretty pleasant. We ordered the fried plantains, pork tacos, and a couple of drinks and everything was pretty good. Is a bit more expensive but you're really there to pay for the boat experience. If you're a local then the tickets are free. The vibe during the day was mostly families with little kids, but the price reflects that. It's only $10 for an afternoon trip on the weekend, and it could be up to $30 at night.

Cool idea! This would be a blast w a group of friends. We went for the 2 hour tour past the Statue of Liberty and had a good time. Great views of Chelsea Pier, Little Island, and the Statue.

So the weather is getting nice in NYC ....and my friend is making her list of "must go places" for spring and summer. This experience was high on her list and she wants to be first in line when the open for the season. . I was surprised I had not Yelped this place because had I she would not have included this one on her list. I went during the summer to celebrate another friend's birthday. I personally felt it did not live up to the hype. The tacos ranged from blan to mid....and the lobster tacos actually were the worst!!!! I am not sure if they were supposed to be in butter but talk about oily....the bland red oil was pouring from the tacos with each bite. We got a lot of food since our party was big.....just about every taco on the menu, including a few additional sides, and I can't recommend anything. Now that I told you how bad the food is, let me tell you what was good......the drinks...in particular the frozen Sangría but all of the drinks were good. Also, we did the evening cruise the last one of the day, and the views are un matched. I think tourists would love this....it gets very close to Lady Liberty, and you have an ample amount of time to get great pics. Would I go back....Nope.....would I recommend....uhm...only if you are having drinks and want pics....then why not.

This is one of those experience that is worthwhile. Me and my girlfriends went after work and had a good relaxing time. It wasn't overcrowded and the staff was attentive. Tacos were pretty decent but nothing too amazing about them. The impossible nachos however where the best they were very tasty and offered a lot of guac! The drinks were okay nothing to outstanding about it but passable. Def would do this again to give other food offered a chance!

My church had an event on this boat and it was amazing. There were a many options for veggie and meat lovers brunch. It was buffet style and everyone left full. The service was quick but they continued to leave food there if we wanted to come back. The servers were kind. Everything looked clean.

The vibes were definitely there also the drinks ! Food ?! Tacos were lacking some flavor unfortunately but the loaded nachos ! On delicious I recommend the nachos also the mocktails are very good but the city view and the service a plus very good ! And yes I would definitely do this again .

Honestly just kinda overpriced and boring. Website should also make more clear the length of each cruise when you book. Service also forgot to bring out an app we ordered and failed to check in before the end of the cruise. Food was basic. You can find better guac and tacos in the city. Great views though

I was invited to a party about two weeks ago and it was the perfect summer send off!!! The boat was at Pier 81- 42nd Street at 12th Avenue. You can can take any of the trains to 42nd Street and walk west or take the crosstown M42 bus. Yamila, their chef, curated an amazing brunch spread, which was vegetarian friendly! There were empanadas, tamales, chips w/ guac to name a few. Their drink list included amazing non-alcoholic options. I chose the hibiscus ginger (which would normally be a margarita). The weather-perfect! HasanInsane & Pam Jones dj'd (who I'm friends with). I was in great company and it was an ideal night out. We were on the boat for about 3 hours-docking at 10 pm. We boarded at 7pm. Can't wait to go back to experience their full menu. Thank you again to the entire staff!!

Cute boat experience, it was definitely more of a family friendly type experience so if that's what you are looking for then I would recommend. We had the 8pm ride the sun was already set. I had the shrimp tacos which were really good and the drinks were great as well! The service was fast, overall I would rate 6/10. We came here for my daughter's birthday on one of the hottest days in July. The bottom level was the coolest, according to Tony. I was kind of skeptical because of some of the reviews......but you can't believe everything you read. We were on the 4:00 excursion, We boarded at 3:05PM and had our drinks and food by 3:25. We had plenty of time to eat before the trip actually started. Quo was our waitress, she was so nice, attentive & helpful even though I had a LOT of questions & couldn't make up my mind about the margaritas. We ordered the impossible nachos, chicken verde tacos, tony's campechano tacos, strawberry margarita, lemonade & pepsi The nachos were fresh, hot and really good. There was a tri- color chips (red, white & blue) impossible beef, pico de gallo, pickled jalapeños, a generous amount of guacamole & cream. The plate was large enough for 4 people to share. The chicken verde tacos were fresh, hot & good. The tony campechano tacos were made with beef brisket, chorizo and a charred scallion on top. They were also fresh & hot. The food prices are kind of high...24/26 for 3 tacos, 24 for nachos, 16 for a small margarita but it was really really strong The soft drinks and water were 4.00 but with 1 free refill each. I ordered the Tres Leche cake for my daughter. It came with a Happy Birthday sign and the crew sang the " Happy Birthday" song to my daughter The entire staff were very nice, kind and very accommodating. It's usually 10.00 person to board but somehow my daughter found a special or coupon for 5.00 each. I highly recommend the floating La Barca Cantina restaurant. We will definitely be coming back Ignore the bad reviews, some people are never satisfied or happy

Solid 3 stars. Friendly staff, great views, awesome location and fun concept. My boyfriend and I went for the Friday night 8pm dinner ride and we were not blown away. Service was extremely slow and I can tell they're VERY understaffed. I had the saddest chicken tacos I've ever seen in my life. It was just chicken (that resembled cat food) and tortilla and that's it. The food came out welllll before the drinks. I finished my 3 sad tacos and waited 5 mins and then the drinks came out. Overall, organized and a nice crowd and fun for a one time thing. Most likely won't be back. It has a lot of potential to be better.

Time of my life. What a wonderful experience. Took my brother for Fathers Day and he had such an amazing time. All you could eat and drink Mimosas and Bellini you can't go wrong. Food was delicious and spectacular. Staff was accommodating and extremely attentive and friendly. Views of the ocean and Statue of Liberty while you eating and drinking and the beautiful skyscrapers in NYC. Clean, spacious and a lot of seating available throughout each deck.

Fun boat cruise for a birthday party or group of people. Friendly staff and the two hours of sailing is super fun with beautiful views of the city. Lots of drink and food options. The food was mid and tacos were over priced for quality of them; the drinks and chips were the highlight. As well, was confronted with hostility by a server who gave terrible service after mentioning it to their manager. The manager did nothing about this worker.

This was such an enjoyable dining experience that's great for both visitors and locals. I went on the 8pm cruise in July on an overcast day with 2 of my friends and we had so much fun. It was $25 to board and food/drinks were an additional cost. The food was delicious and I would say the hotness level ratings of the tacos and jalapeño poppers were just right! The proportions could have been better for the price, but it's close to what you could get at another cantina in the city. I also ordered El remolino which was very refreshing. The service was extra fast and got us our food and drinks right away so there was plenty of time to take photos, chat, and walk around. The atmosphere was so fun and energetic but relaxing at the same time. There was a wide age range on board and everyone seemed to have a good time! The 8pm cruise ticket is more expensive than the other time slots, but in my opinion worth it for the sunset, night time view of the city, and extra hour of cruising. Some tips: The floors can get pretty slippery because of humidity, so I would be cautious of that. Also, i would recommend getting there 45 min before the time slot to guarantee seating outside. My group got there 45 min early and there was already a good amount of people in line. I can't wait to come here again!

Overall good experience only $5 to reserve your table, took a while for us to get our menus even though other tables already had them. Loved the morir sonando cocktail the tacos were good but wish they would have had it on the menu that they put onions on them. (Ended up handpicking the onions out). Place is more on the expensive side but worth it for the experience

Summer time.... Tacos on a boat.... Views of the city... why not?! First things first... if you have motion sickness take a Dramamine prior to departure (you'll thank me later). Yes! The boat actually leaves the dock so be prepared.... The higher up you sit the more you'll feel the motion. Check in was a breeze once they started to board, you'll have your choice of sitting inside downstairs or outside upstairs. I went with outside for the views. My waitress was flustered. She spilled the drinks she was holding on her tray onto my boyfriends arms, shorts, sneakers and the chips and salsas that were on the table. For this she did give him a complimentary shot and replaced the chips and salsa. When she came back around to clean off the table she forgot about the shot she gave him and poured it out into another cup thinking he was done with it. When we said something she tried to laugh it off "I thought it was water". Immediately after she walked away to the table behind us and spilled the same cup on another diner. She was clearly having a bad day. As for the food the tacos were decent, salsas all lacked flavor, chips were salty, plantains were ok and my Margarita was decent.

My boyfriend found La Barca Cantina on TikTok. It is located on Pier 81. You need to book a ticket ($10 per person) on their website prior to boarding the boat. They will require you to show your COVID-19 vaccination and ID matching the vaccination card. After boarding the boat, you can choose where you would like to be seated. We chose to sit on the lower deck since it was evening time. We ordered the grouper ceviche ($17), 3 north river lobster tacos ($30), truffle esquites ($12), frozen remolino ($16), and tres leches cake ($10). Since there were no pictures on the menu, I referred to Yelp for inspiration. The north river lobster tacos was the only hot dish. There was an abundant amount of lobster in each taco. It tasted very fresh and sweet. The truffle esquites is a bowl of corn with truffle oil, cotija cheese, mayo and a slice of lime. We were actually expecting this to be hot since the picture looked like it was made of cast iron. The truffle flavor was very apparent and it was scrumptious! The grouper ceviche was pretty chewy. The acidic sauce that the ceviche came in masked the fishy taste. This dish was cold. The tres leches cake was not bad and had a great presentation. The remolino was a decent size drink with a swirl of frozen margarita and frozen sangria. I will be back to catch the earlier boarding to catch the sunset with some yummy lobster tacos!

This was the biggest waste of money. The food was 2/10 (nachos with steak) so it wasn't even worth getting anything else. It took 30min to get our drinks, not that they weren't ready, they were just sitting on the bar getting watered down before our server brought them over. The decor was mediocre the lounging couches are all faded, the bathrooms were so dirty with no paper towel or toilet paper. Mind you we took the 2pm boat so there should be no excuses. 2 margs, one plate of nachos and a mocktail was $90. The waiter dropped our food then never came back, it wasn't even busy. Made eye contact multiple times and never came over. For $25 each to go then crappy food and service save your money people.

If you're looking for something to do with your friends or the kids....sure! Went recently for Mother's Day with sister and our kids and was not blown away. We all left pretty hungry since the food was a bit overpriced for the amount received. Very limited menu and what seemed to be last min changes on the refills on the very small soft drinks. We did get a free margarita for Mother's Day and unfortunately tasted mostly like syrup!! The best thing we had was the choros!! Very tasty! The chips and guacamole were ok but when you mix it the pick and a bit of their spicy salsa..it was good! Everything else was either lacking flavor, cheaply made or overcooked. Hate to mention that the lower level was very outdated and the couches were very dirty and musty. Server Que was very nice and helpful!

This review is for their dockside bar. Was a sweet find as a running friend and I were finishing up a long training run in the hot sun along the Hudson River. They have a small window bar here with a long row of stools.to sit at along the water. It's all decorated in that cheesy touristy nautical theme but it's a fun vibe. Cold beers, cocktails, wine, and shots. Typical NYC inflated booze prices but the beer was cold and it was a nice view. They don't take cash as it's credit or debit card only.

What a night on the Hudson!! Highly recommended. The music was good, drinks was good and food was great. Sightseeing at night at its best. The waiter was great as well. He brought me a Modelo on the house due to an issue with ordering as we sat. In the daytime you cruise up the Hudson and at night you go downtown towards Ellis Island and The Statue of Liberty.

Views and boat ride were awesome and the best part for sure. I would recommend buying tickets just to ride the boat and have drinks because the food is so basic. $22 for literally A quesadilla. Like, one folded over tortilla with cheese. The nachos were also super basic. Like a hundred plain chips in a pile with cheese and meat on the very top lol. So while we weren't unhappy with the overall experience, the food itself is largely a joke. Drinks and beautiful views, yes. Great service as well.

La Barca Cantina is awesome. I highly suggest coming here at least 1 time. The boat is pretty, decorated well, and very welcoming. the staff is all smiles, warm, and so friendly. The service was beyond exceptional. Where the issues lie here, are the food. I came in June, so hopefully things can be worked out and they change the menu or tweak their execution. I was here with a large group of 12, and i think our server handled us well - we were drinking and rowdy, so i know we were a handfull. Speaking of which, we came on a Sunday around 2 pm. we were the last ones to get a table outside, but upstairs. Keep that in mind, or you can be seated downstairs. ps. make sure to check your check because things were charged to me that we shouldnt have, but after contacting the staff, they were more than eager to adjust and make this right. Also, make sure you get what you ordered, we had 3 instances where the wrong drinks were brought out. the chicken tacos are a complete waste to get. why? the portions. I was embarassed at how small these were. at a steap price for 2 tacos, i was shocked they served them. the chicken itself, had such a great flavor, but wow were the tacos skimp. the truffle esquites was absolutely disgusting. yes, im being harsh. first off, they need to come with chips. why is this served in a bowl? also, on a hot day i would avoid this. its made with mayo ( i think?), and its so sour. it tasted sour and not good at all. the flavor was sour and cheesy, but i just was not a fan. the impossible nachos were huge and tasty, but really $20? way way way too expensive for what they were. sweet plantains were perfect. yes, ive had bad ones before, but these were fried well. the side of rice is great to share, and made well too. the salsas had little to no flavor.

Absolute rip off going to be 100% honest. While eating on a boat is fun, especially on a summer night. The price was not worth the quality. Get some Mexican food to go and sit in a bench by the water, you'll lower the risk if getting seasick exponentially. Servers were fine, definitely not in them, but they can't save a bad meal ya know? It was actually pitiful how small the guac appetizer was (see picture) literally you get more on your burrito at Chipotle, not exaggerating.

La Barca just opened in May 2021 at Pier 81. Sailing times (1hr sail) 4pm, 6pm, 8pm Thursday - Friday. 2pm, 4pm, 6pm, 8pm Sat - Sun. In order to attend you must purchase the $10 boarding pass beforehand. They do not accept reservations. Before you sail you can have drinks at the dock. $5 Whiskey happy hour. What we ate: SALSAS Y CHIPS - Housemade corn chips with housemade salsas: Red, Green and Pumpkin LA BARCA LOCOMIX - special spicy tangy snack mix  MACHA SHRIMP TACO - Ancho shrimp in salsa macha, red pickled onions TONY'S CAMPECHANO TACO-A tribute to the best taco in Mexico: a combo of brisket and pork chorizo with charred scallions Yellow Rice I truly enjoyed this experience. Loved the Tony Campechano taco and the la Barca mix. If you love mezcal then this is the spot for you. They have an extensive collection. All staff members were friendly and provided a great service. If you don't feel like being in the sun you can sit inside. Lots of seating options throughout the boat. I'd definitely do this again. Additional videos on IG @ifancyny

I really enjoyed my experience. The food was good... They were well organized and clean. The boat was on time both sailing and docking. It was a good time.

Service was amazing. Food was good , I didn't have hight expectations lol to be honest. We ordered the order of 2 tacos for $19 too small tacos, and the nachos with were very tasty but I wish they had the option of substitute the protein for actual meat . The vie was amazing and service was great. The atmosphere was very welcoming and yes I love a good mezcal .

There are no tacos on this boat! Very disappointed and misleading! Everywhere La Barca Cantina advertises: Eat Tacos, on a Boat! And the menus provided online show a full menu! NOWHERE online does it say when booking that La Barca After Darka (the night sailing from 8-10) does it state there are NO tacos. Not only that, a very limited menu with 9 items. No desserts, no non-alcoholic drinks, nada! I took a group of friends from out of town to a sunset "taco boat" and it was anything but! This morning, AFTER booking a week ago and the morning AFTER we took our cruise, I got an email saying that there is a limited menu. They need to add the limited menu to their menu list. If we would have known there are no tacos, we def would not have booked the "taco boat".

Fun time! EXPENSIVE but quality drinks, food is delicious not overly seasoned but tasty. Great service! Music wasn't what I would pick but hey if that's the biggest issue, who cares! Our waitress Jen was attentive and efficient.

Me and my girlfriend were so excited to go here. Unexpectedly her house burned down from an electrical fire. Through all the commotion and booking hotels for her family we were unable to make it. There was no refund and no way to move the date to another time which was really upsetting as we were looking forward to this. I was surprised they would not be accommodating for situations like this :(

This was a great experience! I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a 1-2 hour cruise while having brunch, lunch, dinner. Frozen margaritas were great! My husband and I ordered the grouper ceviche as an appetizer which was excellent. I had the fish tacos and my husband ordered the lamb ones. The waiter gave us complementary chips and guac! He was fantastic!!! We took the 2pm cruise which was less crowded and we loved that!!! The boat has 3 floors, we stayed inside, in the middle section where you have access to go outside. Upstairs has no shade and it was too hot. That may work for an evening cruise. Bathrooms were clean and the waiters worked super hard. Not many of them, but they out in effort.

They denied us entry because I was annoyed that they were hassling me and demanding that I empty my purse (including a bag of new clothes I had just bought earlier that day while shopping) out onto the dirty pavement. Forced us to turn around and return our tickets. DO NOT COME HERE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE E V E R EXPERIENCED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Security were so unreasonable and honestly kind of scared me. Did not feel like a good place to be at.

Great price to sail down the Hudson. The food was ok could have more flavor, especially the chicken tacos. I would go back and try something different. The staff was friendly.

This restaurant is located at Pier 81 in NYC. You pay about $10 to board each. You need your license and COVID vaccination card to get on. They sell Mexican food primarily tacos. The tacos average to about $17 for a meal. It was 4 people in my party. The bill was about $220 with appetizers, drinks and tacos. I am giving it a 3 because I was not that fond of the food. The steak taco was ok the shrimp taco did not tickle my fancy. The guacamole and chips was blah. I could of made it at home. The churro dessert was good with the caramel sauce and the drinks were good and strong. The best part of the trip are the views while your eating and to take pictures of you are into that.

I had seem this place though social media & ended up coming to check it out for a friends birthday. we had a large group & our section was in the main area right before the steps, inside the drinks set up was Beer , wine & water was provided not bad. A little later after we set sailed they brought out the food , we had Chicken & Shrimp tacos along with rice. Chicken tacos were not bad a bit on the spicy side , it had quite the kick. Shrimp tacos were ok for me I found the sauce to be a bit odd tasting. The rice was a yellow type rice & it was good over all. As the ship sailed we enjoyed the views , drinks & food .. decent looking boat nice below deck area, dinning on a boat may not be the best of ideas but since this is a short ride it works.

Lovely experience! I hosted a girls meet up at La Barca Cantina back in July. It was a hot day but we had a wonderful experience. Firstly, in order to ride you must purchase a boarding pass for $10 on their website. Passes seem to sell out quickly, so don't hesitate. La Barca Cantina is conveniently located right next to the North River Lobster Co. boat ride by Pier 81. Apparently, they are owned by the same company as Circle Line cruises. Upon arriving, we showed our passes and immediately boarded for a 5pm ride. The boat itself is very nice. The was a good mix of music pumping (mainly popular hits from all genres), thus creating a nice vibe. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is on the top deck and has a bar. It was hot and sunny that day, so all of the covered seating was taken. It was either we sit in the hot sun or go inside - we opted to sit inside lol. There are two levels indoor. An upper/main deck which was lined with traditional chairs and tables. Then down stairs from there, is a full bar and with a more lounge feel. Lots of comfy couches and tables. Once seated, we were greeted immediately by our server and a manager. I wish I remembered the manager's name because he was such a GEM! Very personable and made us feel very welcome. He also shared some great information about the beauty of tequila and mezcal from his native Mexico. The menu reasonable priced and features a simple, yet nice variety of Mexican cuisine favorites. They also have a complete list of tequila and mezcal varieties. For food, I ordered the 'pork al pastor' tacos and a side of guacamole. I also had ordered a frozen sangria. The tacos were good, the pork itself wasn't amazing but the pineapples and red onions, really kicked up the flavor. The guacamole was seasoned well and featured some multicolored corn chips. Loved it. The frozen sangria was good however, they only offer red wine sangria's, I much prefer white. After eating and drinking, we had time to take in the views and take lots and lots of photos. The ride is about an hour. Since we went before prime time sailing (roughly 7pm and beyond from what we were told), the boat wasn't very packed. The views were beautiful and there was some seating available on the main deck, where you can relax or take more pics. In addition to the manager, staff from all areas were kind and helpful. Everyone greeted us and smiled graciously. Added bonus - you can stay on the boat for multiple rides. So if you want to stay for the sunset cruise you can, just make sure you purchase something. Overall, I loved this experience. I will definitely be returning and I highly recommend it to others. Its a great experience for a date or time out with friends. Also perfect for anyone trying to show a visitor NYC in a unique way. Highly recommended!

La Barca was an awesome dinner booze cruise! Our server Matty G was amazing, super welcoming, prompt with service, and so polite! Definitely recommend coming here food and drinks were delicious. The boat was big, seats were comfortable, and the ambiance was perfect.
