La Baronnie is a lovely hotel, great location in Saint Martin de Re, up a side street just off the port.||The atmosphere is calm and not too busy - I was there late September, early October. Weather was still good enough to sit by the pool. Pool is accessible to guests - no need to book/pay.||My room (Buckingham) was very large and in the older part of the house. Some noise in the morning on the street, but nothing that was too disturbing. The room was very clean. Recycling bin provided (always a plus for me).||The part of the hotel that is used in their main photo of the hotel is only accessible when the bar is open (which in late September/early October is only from 4.30pm).||Availed of a massage which was lovely, but had limited times available when I went to book shortly before my stay so book early.||10 minute walk to 150 bus stop (Cognacq-Jay)||The only downsides were that there is no on site restaurant and no room service (even for breakfast this would have been nice). No iron provided, but presumably can ask for one. I also asked if they had small hair conditioners and was told "I wasn't the first to ask, but no". For the price of the hotel this wouldn't be a hard amenity to have when asked for (I found a mini donkey milk conditioner in a local soap shop for €2). It would also be nice if they offer small Ile de Re body or face salt scrubs or something local in the bathrooms.
