La Barra Conchita - Mariscos

Probably my favorite meal in TJ. This seafood is utter perfection. The fish is fresh with a perfect texture. The sauces are unbelievable. My only regret is I didn’t have more items. Service was wonderful as well as the drinks. I felt like I was in an exclusive omakase. Easy Six Star restaurant.

Visited this tiny restaurant that specializes in elevated raw seafood dishes such as ceviches, oysters, clams, fish etc. Street parking is tough so I parked at the nearby Bobs Big Boy parking lot and tipped the lot attendant to allow me to park there. Chef David Montana treat his customers like family by giving you free samples and explains how he comes up with his recipes. The fully prepared oysters were topped with thin cut scallop, tuna and sauces. They also serve craft beer and local wines. High quality seafood requires high prices so be prepared.

Taste of the food is really good, the spot is very small ( 2 tables of 6 seats in the indoor area) so you have to arrive early, they close at 8 pm. Tostada de Pate de Atun, Tostada de Jurel and Tiradito de O Toro are highly recommended.

Small place, a bit hidden away. Absolutely amazing food. Highly recommend sitting at the bar and talking with the chef, he’ll provide some great recommendations. They don’t take reservations, so it may be a wait to sit down. Everything on the menu is good.

Bro if you’re looking for a top notch mexican seafood place this is it! Limited seating but worth the wait.

There is no parking, once they take your order, they never listen to you again, very bad service.
