I came here with my cousin on a night out and had a great time! The pasta was cooked perfectly, the aguachile was top notch, and the espresso martinis were amazing. The server spoke English & Spanish with us and was very attentive to our desires. I highly recommend Byron!

Walking down Juarez Avenue, we stumbled upon this place! Wow, every time I'm in this area, I'll definitely come back for a meal. The chef himself (who's also very handsome) provides excellent service. The pizza is fantastic.

We sat outside along the street at a nice table. The service was great. Rafael was very friendly, courteous and professional. The food was delicious, beautifully presented. For appetizers we ordered tostadas de atún y de ceviche. I thought that tuna tasted a bit fishy, but it was definitely fresh. The other tostada was made with fish that remained me of iwashi, maybe herring type fish prep. We also got carpaccio de Manzo, it was done in a classic style except with blue cheese instead of traditional Parmesan, it was very good. Ceviche de pescado and fillet de res for the Main course. Ceviche was marinated in the perfect lime juice sauce as is called by in the typical Peruvian style. Not sure what type of white fish was used for it, but it was great. The fillet was perfectly cooked (yes, I know, I'm a snob when it's comes to steaks). Chocolatines was a perfect finish to our meal. Three beautiful chocolate truffles infused with brandy. What a treat!

This is a very exceptional find. The good things of walking in a neighborhood. The food was amazing. And our waiter Rafael was a true server. He is what makes a difference between service and hospitality. We have the Octopus in an olive sauce ( or aioli), and tuna tostada appetizers. They where good. I had for main the grilled octopus. Out of this world. And we also had the Land and Sea Paella. (Only on Friday’s). It was really good. With so much protein in it. Chicken, meat, sausage (butifara) clams, mussels, 2 huge prawns and crab. All this for about us$13. The paella rice would have been a little more moist to my liking. But was good. And good wine. They have good wine at good prices. One of the few restaurant I would say “highly recommended “.

Wonderful little place with amazing seafood dishes! Ordered the tuna tostada & the black butter salmon with shrimp sauce - both absolutely incredible 🤤😍 Service was also super friendly! Will definitely come back. PRO TIP: sit at the bar! (Check out a place called Cicatriz right next door for after dinner cocktails.)

Excelent food and service. I've had tuna tostada, shrimp ravioli and octopus. Everything delicious. There was small misunderstanding from my side about pulpo, but they "repair" it without any issue. Margaritas one of the best I've had in Mexico so far.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Barrita Cocina de Mar, and it was an exceptional experience. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a memorable meal. The menu offered a diverse selection of italian and peruvian dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. I particularly enjoyed the Tortellini Tartufati, which was a delightful blend of flavors and truly a standout dish. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. I highly recommend La Barrita Cocina de Mar to anyone seeking a remarkable culinary experience in México City!

Yelp
In the mood for seafood and walking by a treat of a counter- style cafe! Wow. Our first course was the Pique Amarillo de ani Amarillo- a citric forward creamy ( all fruit/veggie) cold "soup" with fish, calamari, and shrimp that set off our tongue into 4th gear. Coupled with a sweet shrimp cocktail- well done Mex style. Followed by a tremendous al dente sepia parpadelle and calamari that we shared. All washed down with their house white and a wide smile. Looking forward to Paella Friday at La Barrita!!

Yelp
Small indoor/outdoor restaurant with stylish somewhat international crowd. I loved the food my friend said the Ceviche was the best in Mexico City, it was definitely the best I've had. Also the octopus with an olive sauce was delicious (and tenderized correctly.)
