"This iconic restaurant is in the capable hands of a talented team led by chef Noël Berard (former second-in-command here). Produce from the Luberon and the chef's modern Provençal cuisine is beautifully presented in the form of two tasting menus. High-quality ingredients (such as beef from the Luberon, trout from the River Sorgue, pork from Monteux), boldly flavoured jus and sauces, and a distinctive style that discreetly asserts itself. There is a magnificent terrace from which to admire the sunset... Good to know: this enchanting place in the Provençal countryside also proposes guestrooms (in the hotel) and a bistro." - Michelin Inspector

This hotel is a great hotel, with an amazing location in france. The rooms are satisfyingly clean spacious and has the most amazing view. The service is absolutely incredible, the staff was extremely efficient and did their most to take care of me. If you want to be happy, I HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

We visited only the Michelin star restaurant. First of all, it’s a beautiful place overlooking Luberon with breathtaking views and sunsets! The food was exceptional. Chef Noel puts his soul into each dish! Must visit and experience the magic!

Good food, poorly managed We ate here last night. First, let me start by saying we would have been very happy to say this feedback in person, but we were not even asked at the end when we paid how our experience was by the maître d’hôte. Positive points: -the setting is beautiful, absolutely dreamy and unique. -the food was delicious, and the flavours were expertly matched Negative points: -we ordered the matching wine menu (which is 95 euros per person, so quite a treat!) but the wines were always served much later than the plates. We had to wait 5 min each time for our wine, so by the time we got our wines the hot plates were cold. I have never seen it done this way at such a high-rated restaurant… for dessert, which included ice cream, we waited so long I had to ask the waiter for it, he had clearly forgotten and then he brought only one glass, forgetting my husband’s… there many waiters around but they were not very attentive to us. -overall the service was very unequal. Some members of the staff were lovely (like the charming lady who brought us the cheese tray). Others were barely cordial. There is a lack of management behind the staff. -The manager (maître d’hôte) was lacking in our opinion. There were many miscommunications (like at the beginning, we had asked about the wine matching menu and he just assumed that’s what we would have without properly asking for our order which left us baffled for the first few appetizers, unsure if we had placed our order or not), lack of coordination with the team (we spent the whole night with the waiters behind our back arguing about what needed to be done for which table, quite a stressful experience). Finally, a proper manager is here to listen to complaints: he could clearly see some things had gone amiss, but he burried his head in the sand and did not even ask us about our night, or experience and rushed us out when we paid. -one last little thing: we went there for our first year anniversary so for a special occasion, which I had mentioned in the booking, and they could clearly see us exchanging gifts. Not once did they say “oh what’s the special occasion?” “Happy anniversary “… This is usually one of the little touches at a restaurant of this class that makes you have a special night. We left frustrated because so many elements of the night were there to make it an exceptional experience, but we felt a bit robbed because of the erratic service.

One of the most romantic places I have ever been. Beautiful restaurant surrounded by lavender and gorgeous village views. The flavors are insane, rich and presentation is spotless. Fantastic wine pairing and outrageous crab course. The goat cheese cornucopia was stunning as well. Just a dreamlike place.

The terrace has a beautiful view and looks even better when the sun starts setting. The staff is very friendly and well trained. The food was amazing. Definitely a great experience.

Very good food. Had a whole aperol dumped on the table. Was surprised nothing was done to make up for it. But aside from that the service was good. The eel was amazing and the cheese. Really enjoyed the wine pairings.

Incredible meal. The wine pairing was excellent and introduced me to wines I don’t normally drink alongside very creative dishes and flavors. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the region! All the staff was friendly and attentive, and cannot stress how much I loved Lauren’s wine choices for the evening!

We were staying at the hotel and had eaten in the very good Bistro a couple of time but decided to try La Bastide on the Saturday evening. We were not disappointed ! The food was exceptional and the presentation exquisite. The Sommelier was excellent and she was really helpful explaining how the wine pairing was chosen. I would definitely recommend

Yelp
The food is beautifully presented and exquisitely delicious. It samples the flavors of Provence without getting too traditional nor too crazy and modern. Standouts: Red mullet topped with caviar, truffle in pastry crust, cedar souflee dessert, sea bass in orange sauce, rack of lamb. The cooking class with Chef Cyril is a real treat. Even for amateur chefs it helps build skills and also your appreciation for the culinary arts. The staff are very warm and nice. Yes the other comments about service being slow are true, they don't refill your water every ten seconds. But it is Provence and if you're in a hurry, go to Germany. This is an atmosphere in which to relax with old friends and family, savor the moment, and to enjoy mind-blowing food with excellent wines.

Yelp
We have been here four times over the last couple of years, so we like the place and the atmosphere - the setting is really nice, but the service was too slow and we ended up finishing around midnight. The dishes were relatively similar to the last couple of times, so we would have preferred some more updating. However, Loubet is very friendly and listens to his customers.

Yelp
Although the setting and the gardens are fabulous, our room had ants and needed updating.
