"La Befana’s pizza is great (and it’s a true slice joint, which is rare in this mostly slice joint-barren city), and so too is the chicken parm sandwich. Get some french fries on the side — crispy exterior, pillowy interior, perfect — and some garlic bread knots, too. La Befana is open for takeout and delivery via its own website and delivery via Grubhub." - Terrence Doyle

A true pizza oasis in a city that generally does not have good pizza. I carry out large pepperoni pizzas for $20 quite frequently these days. The pizza are quite large, the crust is chewy with a slight crunch from the singed top, there plenty of cheese with a satisfying a cheese pull, and the sauce balances sweet, savory, and sour.

Ordered pizza. It was “sweet” margarita and “sweet” Italian bomb…. We have never tested such Pizza. It was like a dessert. I don’t understand which recipe from Italy this restaurant follows. Pathetic taste. Couldn’t finish a single slice. I would appreciate if the restaurant can respond and explain.

Incredibly delicious pizza at very reasonable prices ($16 for a large cheese that fed 4 adults or ~$5 for a slice that is really more like 2 slices because they’re so massive). Truly feels like Allstons little gem of a local pizza place

Finding parking here can be a bit challenging so plan accordingly! I was craving some pizza for dinner and found this place not far from where I was. First thing you notice when you walk in is how small the place is. There's literally 2 tables here (1 that can fit two people, the other larger table can probably fit 8+? I would definitely plan on carry out here since there's a slim chance you'll have a place to sit otherwise. Their menu is pretty expansive. Do yourself a favor and admire the chalk menu but stick to the print outs since it'll all be in one location and easier to read (you'll be there all day otherwise). I ordered a medium meatball and margherita pizza that actually comes with a side of garlic bread knots and a size of marinara sauce. The pizza is a Neapolitan style pizza (made with San Marzano tomatoes grown specifically in a region of Italy) and has a thin crunchy crust. The pizza itself was delicious (especially with the fresh basil) and the garlic knots were also surprisingly buttery and tasty with the marinara sauce. They also have a ton of pizza slices available so there's bound to be something you're hankering for if you give it a good glance. The pizza is slightly pricier but the ingredients itself makes it very much worthwhile. I'll be back to try some of their other pizzas!

Weekly go to lunch spot. Good pizza at an amazing price. They sell pizza by the slice so just grab and go. ~$6 for 2 slices. (They sell it as one slice it's 1/5 of a pizza. But it like 2 normal slices )

Wish I could give it even 4 stars but this place has become so overpriced it's absolutely ridiculous. I ordered a veggie sandwich, one appetizer of veggie skins, and fried dough and paid $50 for delivery. Never again. Their food is good, but not that good, absolutely *not* worth the outrageously steep prices now. Their food was actually better a coup years back and now it's overpriced and not nearly as good as it used to be, a lot more bland. I heard that the owners had changed don't know if that's true but the quality has definitely gone down despite the prices increasing drastically. Yes the price of food has gone up but this place is literally more expensive than any other delivery place I have gotten in the last year so it's not just cause food prices have gone up. There's no way I will ever justify spending that much for plain old pizzaeria again for 1 person. Literally just one person, and it was $50. It's not worth the price at all. I don't know what world they're living on where they think their food is worth this much but it's not and there's no reason for them to be charging this much like this isn't fine dining it should absolutely not be costing $50 for one person's worth delivery order.

Hidden behind construction scaffolding, La Befana is a gem :-) Had a tasty slice of cheese. The crust is excellent, but could use more red sauce IMO. Loving the chalk art on the walls. A great nod to artisanal pizza :-)
