La Bella Trattoria

We were looking for a good italian restaurant for dinner and so happy we decided on this one! We walked in and were greeted right away. Roberto was our server and he was excellent! On top of the amazing service, the food was delicious. We started off with the cheesy garlic bread, and our entrees were caprese ravioli (highly recommend) & the chicken alfredo. Lastly, we had tiramisu which was also a 10/10. If you want great service, food, and a quiet & elegant dinner spot, this is the place for you!

We started with a Caesar salad and the garlic bread and were happy with the presentation and flavor. For a main meal, the steak sandwhich is a must. My husband ordered it medium-rare, and it surpassed our expectations. It is definitely worth the price. I ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo, which was good. But after taking a bite of the steak sandwich and perfectly crispy Tuscan fries, the flavor did not compare. We ordered tiramisu for dessert. The presentation and flavor were also lovely. We weren't aware this was in a hotel at first, but we were thoroughly impressed and plan to return to try other dishes. Great service and ambience.

The food was so delicious we came back twice during our short visit to Chicago! My son ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo which in his words was, “creamy, perfect, flavorful and nicely portioned.” He ordered this dish both times. First visit I tried the Spaghetti and Meatballs and wow, the tomato sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and savory, you can tell it was made fresh. My second experience I ordered the NY Strip with a Mushroom Sauce and Garlic Potatoes with Grilled Asparagus. Having had pasta multiple times in this trip I was happy to change it up and was so impressed by the flavor and tenderness of the steak. Too bad we are a plane flight away, we would be here all the time! The service was also a main highlight, both servers and management on each shift were welcoming and personal, it’s a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy an incredible meal and feel appreciated as a guest. 2nd visit today. I had such a pleasant visit; wonderful experience my 1st trip at the opening of this resteraunt (about 3-4 wks ago). I came back again today. I was charged for ADDED honey on my sweet potato waffle fries that I DID NOT ASK FOR. Nor was it listed in the menu that the honey would be added. I have yet to hear back from a Manager, that they say was in a meeting!

Went here solo for an interview lol. After, I got dinner. This was prior to the rebrand but these dishes are still on the new menu. I got the House Minestrone Soup (10/10), Caprese Ravioli (15/10), and Tiramisu(heaven). I also got the La Pera cocktail which was excellent. Would absolutely eat here again.

My husband and I were staying nearby with our baby and we went to La Bella a few times during our stay :-) excellent service by Alex on our first visit, welcoming us and explaining their menu. We love their red sauce (SO good!!!!!) and his pizza recommendation was delish. When we came back Paula took excellent care of us, and we got to chatting with Guy as well who was so nice. All of the servers and managers here are so friendly and treat you like family when you’re dining. 10/10 recommend trying this spot :-)

Food was amazing even when we ordered Togo!! Everyone is so sweet and accommodating, Alex will be sure to take care of you and makes sure you can enjoy your dinning service to its upmost potential! Such a cute spot would return 10/10. Also super convenient being inside the hotel !

I have eaten breakfast here several times and it was delicious. I highly recommend their potatoes for breakfast. On multiple occasions I’ve heard other tables near me express their satisfaction with the potatoes.

Cute spot inside Kimpton Grey hotel downtown. Modern clean interior, kind staff, great for a weekday business lunch! Food was good and nice portions.

4 Stars for a solid breakfast, attached to The Gray (Kimpton Hotel), with really friendly service. Note: We were there for a late Saturday brunch, but saw some folks come in looking for pizza and they were told that lunch options wouldn't be available until after 2pm that day. It's not noted on the website (lunch only available after 2pm on Saturdays), so worth mentioning! The space is beautiful and clearly has recently been renovated. There seemed to be a semi-private dining area encased in glass walls, but otherwise there were tables and booths and an attractive bar. We got the breakfast sandwich, which comes on brioche bun, filled with scrambled eggs, american cheese, arugula, and a chicken sausage patty. It came with breakfast potatoes (doesn't mention it on the menu, so happy surprise!) and they were SO GOOD. Crispy exterior, well seasoned, YUM. I got some poached eggs and wheat toast on the side and both were solid. We also got oat milk cappuccinos and it was good. Overall, a simple and flavorful quick breakfast.

Came at around 5 pm on a weekday and was seated pretty quickly. Service in general was pretty quick but the dishes were a bit plain in taste. This is a chill spot to visit if you have an itch for Italian but i wouldn't plan an anniversary or date here for that reason. Attitudes from servers were also pretty mixed.

It was fine, pretty standard but out of orange Juice, out of soup, and they don't do wood fired pizzas on the brunch menu.

My best friend and I came here for happy hour and got peach martinis for a great price! They were delicious at the atmosphere is great. We had Paola as our waitress and she was so nice and attentive. We will definitely be back!

Great service. I like the new menu. Cocktails are awesome! I ordered the new banana Nutella truffle, which was very good.

Great Spot for a wonderful meal. We sat at the bar and Roberto was fantastic. Great recommendations for a starter and dinner. We had the calamari for a starter with a nice Italian White wine- Blange. It had some effervescence to it. The Chicken Parm was delicious and the penne arrabbiata was great with a nice heat to it. Go say Hello to Roberto!
