Unfortunately, this was one of the worst burger restaurant experiences I’ve had. I ordered two cheeseburgers, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings total was €39.55. I was told it would take 20 minutes, but waited over an hour to get my food. When it finally arrived: – The burgers were below average something you could easily make at home. – The mozzarella sticks were cold and had no flavor. – The potatoes were too cold to even eat. To be fair, the staff did apologize for the delay and I appreciate that but it doesn’t make up for the long wait, poor quality food, and overall lack of value. Communication was difficult too, as the staff didn’t speak much English, which made the experience more frustrating. For the price and time wasted, I can’t recommend this place.

We arrived around 4 PM and found plenty of seating. The lady at the cashier took our order right away and was flexible in accommodating our dietary requests. I tried the golden burger, which was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. However, the taste of red onion was strong, so if you're not a fan of onion, be sure to ask for it to be removed. The fries were perfectly seasoned, crispy, and not oily. We received our food within 10 minutes of ordering, so the wait wasn’t long at all. I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it!

I’ve ordered the Golden Chimichurri and it was fantastic. Great amount of potatoes and the grill of the burger was on point. It was so good that the next time I have the chance to visit one of the countries where they are, I’ll definitely visit them again.

Not quite to my taste but that’s just my personal preference. The bun is soft but way too chewy and heavy, I prefer a light brioche or potato bun. The meat too “meaty”, and the cheese was not fully melted. I was surprised to see this burger chain ranked so highly, but perhaps I am simply a lover of a good, dirty, classic smash.

I ordered classic cheeseburger. It tasted good, but not something outstanding. The bun was good, fresh and of high quality. The meat was also good. But in overall I was not impressed. Maybe other burgers from this place are wow

Restaurant is nice and good , staff are very friendly and helpful , the food itself is normal as any other burger restaurant around the globe nice juicy burger , although fries is nice and good taste .

Boldly proclaiming the best doesn't make it so. The burger had a lot of salt, which may have been mitigated if I would have added an egg instead of bacon. It's a great burger nonetheless. The atmosphere is excellent based on both internal and external contributors. Service was good. I would certainly return if I want a great burger.

Bacoa is a young, vibrant, burger-loving hipster's paradise in the heart of Madrid. The menus where's you can mark off what you'd like on your burger are lined up along the front. You build it the way you want it. We were there around 9:00 pm on a Friday night and the place was packed although we were lucky enough to locate two seats in the middle of all the action. They'll bring your order to you, and the ladies can store their purses under their seat in a cleverly designed stool with a basket that is thief proof. It may seem like a small thing but actually is quite important given how crowded the place is and how little room there would be to put your bag down anywhere. The niche of Bacoa is that the burgers are offered in a variety of meats including lamb, and built with all organic products. You'll only find locations in Madrid and Barcelona but it looks like an establishment you'd find in Santa Monica or NYC. My burger was HUGE and delicious. The meat was cooked just as I had requested and was tender and juicy. The avocado and bacon I added to the burger complemented it nicely, but I wished I had topped it with the manchego cheese the Spaniards love so much. The chicken burger was also a delicious thin layer of chicken which we paired with a salad to reduce the guilt that came with our meal. The salad is served with no dressing but there is olive oil and vinegar to make your own dressing. One of the highlights of the meal was their spicy sauce that you can find on all the tables. It's delicious on the burger or on your fries. Since we're in Spain we actually opted for the papas bravas version rather than traditional French Fries, which I would highly suggest.

Cheeseburger and fries. If you've been to a Which Wich, then you'll understand the concept of Bacoa. You'll order your burger from a sheet with tickboxes where you choose the type of protein, the toppings, bun and sides. Or have a bowl. Turn in the sheet at the counter and wait for your burger to be prepared to order. Very simple. I opted for the Galician Beef with "Manchego" and a side of the "Bacoa french fries". Nothing complicated and it turned out great. I even managed a San Miguel while I waited for it to be prepared. Very good burger, though done to a rare rather than medium. I lived to tell the tale and ate the entire thing. Yum! It's not fancy but it's reasonably priced (€6.70 for the burger and €2.50 for the fries). Plenty of seating including tables and a narrow counter area next to the kitchen.

My goodness, one of the best burgers I've had. I ordered the premium meat with goat cheese, pickles, caramelized onion, little bit of mayo. I have have gone overboard with the toppings but it was still so delicious. I also ordered fries with mayo aioli, I was in heaven.

I've been avoiding burgers in Spain because, well they're not Spanish, and also let's be honest, they're not necessarily the national specialty. Or so I thought. Bacao is amazing. We were wandered in because we were starving one day and it was so good that we went out of our way to go back the next day too. Interesting points: -you fill out a card w/your order exactly how you want -everyone speaks English & Spanish -burger in a BOWL (a salad with the burger on top; amazing and a healthy twist) -cute ice teas -variety of burger combos: Australian, Thai, Austrian, etc Definitely recommend! They range between 6€-10€ and worth every bite.

Bacoa has a very yummy Burger, Chicken Sandwich menu. Everything is made from free range, healthy, beef and chicken. The service is a casual quick serve style. Walk up to the counter, or your menu item and beer/wine, and seat yourself. The order is brought to your table once made. There is an upstairs and downstairs seating area, so don't be fooled by just what you see when walking in. Beef is cooked differently in Spain. So order one level more cooked than you usually do. My Medium was very bloody, but fine by me because I can also tolerate Rare. Overall, great, quick, burger spot. Definitely try the two sauces they have on the table. Fresh, cooked, tomato sauce (not just some everyday canned ketchup). Really good. Thank You Guys!

I am more skeptical than the next guy when it comes to highly rated burger/'American' food joints outside the US (universal truth, for all countries/cultures and not just for food). But walking by Bacoa and already in a coma (the best kind, if you must ask), what could it hurt? Oh my god. If I ignore that the patty was a little weak (too far on the soft and flavorless side), Bacoa serves a legit burger. Fries were pretty good too. Worth trying. Enough said.

We tried this place out because of the good reviews. We were craving for some good old burgers. This place was such a catastrophe. I tried to find a worse word but for now the word "catastrophe" will have to suffice. I ordered a burger well-done, I get practically bloody. I don't send my ordered food back to get prepared properly because I used to work in the food industry and I know the annoyance that some workers may feel and the actions that may come after. The chef, if that's what you call it then I don't know why any culinary school graduated this person, but he or she had a party with the salt. The fries and the burger itself were overly salted. The garlic aoli, was just pure garlic and salt. Maybe as an American, I'm used to getting my burger tasting good and hitting the spot. And no offense to the Europeans who may have left the good reviews on this establishment but y'all don't know what a good burger is.

I've been here a few times and have been pleased every time! The customer service is absolutely top-notch, which is unheard of in Spain. This last time, a group of 12 of us showed up as soon as they opened and they did their best to accommodate us and let us put a few tables together downstairs. Nothing but smiles on their faces! I usually get the Pollo Light (i like the roasted peppers and sauce) and I add avocado with a side of salad or fries. I highly recommend the truffle mayo, it's perfect to dip the fries in!!!

I was amazed to see 3 vegan options in the menu here! We chose 2 and both were much better then expected :) We added caramelized onions which gave unique flavor and the patties (quinoa and beets) were juicy and tasteful. It's right in puerta del Sol which is very easy to find. Also the place itself was crowded but with good seating area so we didn't even waited to be seated.

This place is amazing. It is 10 steps away from Sol Metro station, the cutest little square. I ordered the chicken burger and thought it was amazing until I tasted my husband's beef burger with marinated onion and BACON! Put my chicken to shame. Find this place. My all time #5.

Good burgers but even better service! We had a warm welcome and the way in which you order was quickly and nicely explained to us. They had a great selection of burgers (including chicken and veggie) as well as potatoes and drinks. Only caution - don't go overboard on your sauces (like I did) or your burger might come out a big soggy. I learned the hard way. ;)

Wow. What a tasty burger and fries and at a great price! I am from the USA and only wish this place was back home. Hands down better then five guys, smash burger or any of the other quasi fast food joints. Just get the classic burger, small fries and a drink of your choice and enjoy!

I was looking for a burger on a late night and we came across this place. It is a very trendy, cool place. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. They offer a great variety of meats, chicken and pork. I ordered the classic burger and it was delicious. The order is placed at the counter and they take the sandwich to your table. I ordered a well done burger and it was definitely undercooked so be aware of the temperature. Overall, great food and great experience!

I can't recommend this place enough. Walking past their restaurant I caught a glimpse of their beautiful "eco-friendly" inspired decor and decided to step in. I was not disappointed. I had the Bacoa burger with wholewheat bread and organic beef and it was the BOMB. Shame that I had to pay extra for the bread and meat selection - it's strange for a company that endorses eco-friendly behaviour to discourage you from picking healthier choices by charging you extra. Anyways, it was money well spent. I will definitely come back for more!

The best burger chain in Spain, there is only one bar in Madrid and many in Barcelona. A must visit if you are a burger lover.

This place kind of reminds me of the counter or, the habit. They have that nice charry taste that Burger King has but a lot more flavor. Can't remember what I ordered exactly but, the beef was juicy and the extra mushrooms were plentiful. It was a nice place to just people watch when it had that one random storm for a few minutes.

You can taste the quality and care in their excellent burgers, including the chicken burgers. The ordering process is simple once you get the hang of it. Service is always pleasant and helpful. This location doesn't seem to be popular despite its tourist location, so it's perfect--it was quite easy to get a seat.

This place is like "The Counter" in the US except 100 times better. Their organic burgers are delicious and enormous. Their fries were also very good. If you're near Puerta del Sol make sure to stop by. The cashier speaks so quickly in both Spanish and English he sounds like an auctioneer but he makes the line go very quickly. The food is worth the wait!

I recently visited this restaurant today and I was very impressed! I am from the United States, specifically Texas so burgers are a huge thing! That being said, I saw that this place had some good reviews and is generally popular. So i decided to give Bacoa a go, and man this place did not disappoint! The burger was delicious, the meat was sensational and the special secret mayo was amazing! The actual place itself looked very modern and they had ample seating for guests! I just ordered a classic burger and my total came out to 7.5 euros, so it was not to bad in terms of price. The restaurant is located right in one of the most touristic place in Madrid, plaza de Sol! 10/10 would definitely recommend going!!

I hardly ever will give 5 stars to a burger joint, but I will now because they met my expectations for a burger place. Great service, the attendant met us at the door and explained the ordering process. Very kind, bilingual and pleasant servers. Their whole concept is you fill out an order form, where you select from the bun to the toppings, including sauces and different types of beef, chicken or vegetarian burgers. The place is nicely decorated with interesting wall decor. I would definitely return and I recommend if you are looking for a quick and flavorful burger. Prices are on the higher end for burgers but well worth it. They have ok-ish wifi but you have to like their fb page.

Great burgers at Bacoa on our first night in Madrid. Lots of choice, fresh ingredients, great prices and great service. We wanted something quick and easy after a long flight and Bacoa delivered.

Badass! Super tasty, homemade everything. All recycled materials and organic beef. I can't recommend enough the brioche bun and also the Black truffle mayo. Fries are also excellent. In the area there is only trashy tourist traps, this place is an oasis!!

Got a late dinner here since we wanted a change from Tapas and other Spanish food. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it was excellent. Great quality chicken and the rest of the ingredients were fresh. Wife ordered a black bean burger and it was pretty solid as well. Prices were fair, and the portions were pretty large. Service was super friendly too. All in all a very good burger place in Madrid. Wish we had found it earlier.

omg. Go there now! So good, the meat is literally melt in your mouth and the atmosphere is so nice. Everything is so cute and the nice sauces on each table are mouthwatering, wouldn't say their wine was the best and a can of fanta for 2 euros is a bit much but the burgers are what you have always dreamed of. Very nice staff, they speak english. Also, the toilets are so nice too!

The only reason we decided to have burgers in Spain was because it was our first night in Madrid, it was very late and this place had great reviews. The burgers were amazing. Better than most, if not all, that I've had before.

American vegetarian looking for a good veggie burger and discovered this place walking by. I was not at all disappointed by their black bean burger, definitely one of the best veggie burgers I've ever had! The setting was fantastic and welcoming with service being one of the best we've had in Spain! Only downside was the bravas sauce was a bit atypical and chunky.

First night in Madrid; got locked out of our place. Was waiting for the locksmith to come and found this place on yelp. At first the reception by the young man behind the counter was very warm. He helped guide us through the menu and how to order with his recommendations. The beef burger was very succulent and the cheese was a great compliment to the burger. I can also proclaim this is one of the best burgers I have eaten. Definitely worth a visit.

One of my favorite restaurants in Madrid and one of my favorite burger joints of all time. The burgers here are cooked to medium rare perfection, and there are a ton of unique options to choose from. The ordering procedure is very efficient and the ambiance and design of the place is very appealing. Something about these burgers just makes them so damn good. I have yet to find a burger in the U.S. that compares to a Bacoa burger.
