New Orleans Chefs’ Favorite Restaurants | Eater New Orleans

"When he needs to turn his brain off and enjoy dinner, Coquette chef/owner Michael Stoltzfus heads to La Boca for consistently delicious skirt steak, asparagus, and sweetbreads. “Enjoying food as a diner is so important as a chef. Also, a burger and a martini at Houston’s is a go-to for its excellent service. This place has a nice atmosphere. The food was amazing and the staff really knows their menu and can make good recommendations. Keep in mind this is not your traditional American Steakhouse

Google
Such a great steakhouse. It's true it really is all steak on the main/entree menu so as long as you love steak you will love this restaurant. The cuts are not your standard fillet, t bone etc but are the more unusual and probably all the more tasty. Ben our server educated us on these lesser known cuts and advised us well. Excellent cookery and accompanied with yummy sides and string truffle fries. Also highly recommended the sparkling wine, it was delicious. Overall a great experience in this lovely neighbourhood restaurant.

Google
La Boca is a one of a kind steak restaurant. The cuts are not super traditional for the local market but the preparation is superb. A flank steak so tender you can cut it with a fork and super flavorful. The service is very good and the decor is nice as well. Not a traditional steak restaurant, but a whole next level experience. Very, very good.

Google
Amazing food and environment as a whole. The staff was kind and the food so amazing. The meat was so perfectly cooked and delicious and don’t get me started on those desserts. Great portions to share as well. Absolutely deserving of 5 stars.

Google
The best steak in New Orleans, hands down. The menu, ambiance, service, and overall vibe are top notch. Highly recommend, without any reservations whatsoever. This is our go-to restaurant for all special occasions.

Google
First time visit. If you're looking for fish or chicken, don't come here, because they dont have it. It's a steakhouse. We ordered the tasting menu with the Bistro steak. Be prepared, show up hungry if you try this option. Everything was delicious and presented well. Afterwards, we had a cocktail at the bar. A perfect evening.

My partner and I had an incredible meal here tonight. Ben, our bartender, was so knowledgable about everything and let us relax while he told us all about the food and wine we were enjoying. Our meal was followed by the dessert sampler… best in town. We will be back!

Please forgive my photos as i wasn't planning on writing a review, but I was so satisfied that I decided to do so. The first night was perfect. Appetizer: Empanadas were good, not greasy and crispy shells, but nothing special until you added the red chili sauce, which was the absolute best of the 3 house sauces they bring. Main course: The wagyu flank steak was amazing. It was a bit tough but expected for a flank steak, especially when you are used to filet mignon. It was a perfect cook, medium rare throughout with a nice char, seasoned right without butter or anything else to detract from the steak. I never had a steak served sliced, which was a surprise, but it didn't detract from the food. I'm not sure the reason other than to check the cook. I can't emphasize the last time I had a perfectly cooked steak that wasn't drowning in butter. I was completely satisfied and would usually stop there, but I was so happy I went for desert, and I am glad I did. Dessert: The dessert sampler was phenomenal. My favorite was tied between the ice cream cake and the crepes. The chocolate cake was good, super dense, almost like Fudge due to it being flourless and the crispy almond butter bits on top with the chocolate sauce went perfect with a piece of ice cream cake but I didn't discover that until the second day I had it. The crepes were to die for along with the coconut ice cream cake. Crepes were like eating a perfectly rosted marshmallow filled with smooth chocolate cream and brought me back to a memory around the campfire as a child. The coconut was roasted on the ice cream cake, which really set it off well. I don't care for raw coconut, but I loved this. I suggest allowing the cake time to soften a bit before digging in and mixing some bites with the chocolate cake. I would order the crepes and coconut cake by themselves but would have a hard time not getting both, which when dining alone meant the sampler. The second night was good, but there were small differences that separated the 2 meals. The NY strip was a bit over cooked for medium rare, imo, in comparison to my first steak. My photos don't capture it well, but the wagyu was perfect medium rare throughout the edges, which were charred vs. the strip with no char. I also have to admit the cook on the strip wasn't far off of most medium rare cooks I have experienced at other places and I do wonder if the wagyu cook was different due in part to the amount of fat in a wagyu cut. It just felt like the 2 steaks were cooked by different people in different ways, hense the grill marks on the strip but no char taste and the wagyu without the grill marks but a nice crispy char taste and texture. I tried the "Noqui La Boca," which was ok. The dumplings were super heavy, and the gravy it came with made it really great, but I would have just preferred more gravy given the size and heaviness of the gnocchi. The dessert crepe also needed a bit more torch to caramelize the sugar on top. The first night, it tasted like a toasted marshmallow, which was not as prevalent the second night. I recommend going during the week. The first night was a week night, which I enjoyed more than the busy weekend, and I think the chef had more attention to detail being less busy. Both nights, the bill was under $100 before tip and ranged from 101 to 113 after 25% tip. I didn't try any sides, but if I did, I would have chosen the fries. A different appetizer I wish I would have tried over the gnocchi would be the Provoleta(decadent cheese) or the Chorizo de la casa(house made pork sausage) I highly recommend LaBoca if you are detail oriented and long for a perfect steak that isn't ruined by being served in a bowl of butter or unessessarily topped with some seafood. Their process is to season the steak and cook it. I highly recommend them and will be going back for sure. Just be sure not to skip dessert. You will thank me.

Yelp
The food, service, ambience, and time with family and friends were great! We ordered the cheese for starters and each had a different steak with a different side that we all shared. We had the mashed potatoes, French fries, green beans and Brussel sprouts. I had an Old Fashioned and two of our guests enjoyed margaritas. Our waitress was pleasant, knowledgeable, and informative. There were many great steak options which were nice and the sides were a nice size to share and very tasty. Tinned the night, we shared a complimentary flourless chocolate cake in celebration of a loved one's birthday.

Yelp
Throughly enjoyed my dinner there! Ordered the four-course tasting menu that came with empanadas, bruschetta, chorizo and noqui, your choice of steak with frites, heart of palm salad, seasonal veggie and flourless chocolate cake. The three sauces elevated the meal: herb based sauce, pepper sauce and a mustard sauce. My favorites were the herb and pepper sauce. Our first course was the appetizer sampler! This came with the empanadas, bruschetta and chorizo. My favorite was the chorizo! It was spicy and savory! You can taste the spices and smokiness of it. Loved the casing, too! It gave a satisfying crunchy bite. Bruschetta was sweet and the mushroom gave it character. Empanadas were my least favorite. It didn't have the amount of seasoning that stunned my taste buds like the chorizo did. The shell was tough to bite into. The noqui was next and it served. The texture of the noqui was light and fluffy. It wasn't tough and the cream sauce was thick and rich!! Pancetta salted the dish for you. I wanted MORE. The peas were a nice break from the heaviness. Next, steaks! We ordered the special that night that I forgot the name since. It started with an S. (Somebody help lol) Anywaaays, this was an extremely tender piece. It was perfectly cooked to medium rare and when I say it was seasoned, IT WAS SEASONED! Whoever did the marination, KUDOS. The frites were thinly sliced and overly crispy upon arrival. It smelled great but tasted burnt. Some of the green beans were on the firmer side. Last course was our flourless chocolate cake. It was thick and decadent. Personally, I didn't like it because of the aftertaste the topping left but don't let me stop you from trying it though. Enjoy

Yelp
Good cuts of meat. Great flavor. No unnecessary "frills". Simply delicious. Came in on a Tuesday night after a work conference. Called and made a reservation but it probably wasn't needed. At 7:15 the place was pretty open and no line for a table. The food was remarkable. Very well seasoned, cooked to order, and it does a lot with simplicity. The Entraña Fina was delicious and so tender. They offered sauces for the steak but it was so unnecessary, the flavor of the steak was more than enough! Don't skip the Provoleta if you love some fried cheese! There's no chicken, no fish, just beef. It's a steakhouse and they own it! The waitstaff was good, offered specials, made recommendations and was attentive to our table. I definitely recommend this place and am looking for an excuse to eat here one more time before I leave!

Yelp
Prepare your taste buds for a carnivorous delight at La Boca Steakhouse in New Orleans--a dining experience that truly deserves a standing ovation. From the moment you step foot into this culinary haven, you're transported to a realm where every bite is a symphony of flavor and every moment is savored. Let's talk steak. Oh, dear readers, let me tell you about the steak at La Boca--it's nothing short of heavenly. In fact, it's not an exaggeration to say that it's in the top two of my all-time favorites. The ribeye I savored was a masterpiece of culinary perfection, cooked to tender, juicy perfection that left me speechless. And my husband's sirloin? Equally divine, perfectly seasoned and cooked to his exact specifications. But it's not just about the steak; it's about the entire dining experience. The vibe at La Boca is dark, sultry, and undeniably relaxing--a perfect backdrop for indulging in the finer things in life. Our waiter, a true gem of hospitality, was not only attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable. His recommendation of the green beans was spot-on, adding a burst of freshness to our meal that complemented the rich flavors of the steak beautifully. And for the wine enthusiasts among us, La Boca has a treat in store. Nestled within its walls lies a big, beautiful wine cellar, offering a curated selection that's sure to please even the pickiest of palates. Whether you're a seasoned connoisseur or just starting your wine journey, you'll find something to savor in this impressive collection. With each bite, we found ourselves falling deeper and deeper in love with La Boca Steakhouse. It's the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression, where every detail is thoughtfully curated to ensure a memorable dining experience. So, to all fellow steak enthusiasts and foodies alike, I implore you: make La Boca Steakhouse a priority on your culinary journey through New Orleans. It's a culinary gem that deserves to be celebrated, cherished, and revisited time and time again. Trust me when I say, this place is hands-down the best, and we'll be back every time we're in town. Without a doubt, La Boca Steakhouse has earned our highest recommendation.

Yelp
This place is a complete dump. I visited this place during Covid and still to date the worst restaurant I ever visited. They almost always have 1-2 staff members smoking outside. Wouldn't be surprised if the chef took a couple smoke breaks as well with how long our food took to cook Tables were not clean very sticky. Our waiter was amazing. Food took pretty long to come out for when they're not even that busy had to be only 3-4 other couples there. They're also over quarantining. Extremely over priced for the quality of the food. This place probably loses money hand over fist with there strict mask restrictions. You're required to put your mask on when the waiter comes to the table. Even if you got a mouth full of food. Theyre going above and beyond past the mandate. I'd never revisit this dump. Waiter: Amanda amazing only good experience was the waiter. Food took 55mins. The best part is I seen an older gentleman with gray hair who greeted us walking around without a mask around other employees while we were forced to wear a mask. You can drink there $13 cocktails in two gulps. This was during Covid and I hated wearing a mask, but yet they enforced it and the waiter wouldn't approach the table unless you had a mask on. Then I saw the owner/ manager hanging out at the bar never wearing a mask, but yet made his customers wear one. I haven't been to this place since Covid and I just remembered how this had to be worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I went there in 2021 and I still remember this place as disgusting bad. RUN don't give this business a penny. Bunch of LIBERALS who don't care about you or the experience. They just want your money. DO NOT GO HERE RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN

Yelp
The Good 1. We thought the food was excellent, and the prix fixe dinner was a bargain. 2. The cocktails were yummy and imaginative 3. The service was perfect. The Bad 1. Sticky Tables 2. Cheapo (dineresque) flatware and plates which seemed so off at an upscale restaurant. The Simply Odd 1. The steak knife selection process. Our waiter came to the table with a box of maybe 4 different types of steak knives for us to choose from. My husband chose one type, I chose another and curiously neither seemed to be very sharp at all particularly considering how tender our wonderful steaks were! It seemed so bizarre especially considering the presentation as if we were getting some very fancy implements.

Michael B.

Yelp
Excellent Argentinian steakhouse tucked away in the New Orleans Warehouse district. Beautiful cuts of beef that would make any South American establishment proud, with sauces and sides to match. Heavy on the garlic but rich and tender. Bartender Lisa was incredible - shared the history of the area and answered a multitude of non-local questions. Solid wine list reflective of the restaurant's roots and a quiet reserved atmosphere. If you happen to be in the area Aug up to mid-September, you HAVE to try their prix fixe menu - an abundance of food for a fraction of the price!

Emily O.

Yelp
Came on a very busy evening. The service was great. Food was fantastic. Drinks were good.

Yelp
We enjoyed our meal very much. Gaucho Plate was the best. Very interesting cocktails. They also have a full tasting menu for $60 per person that we will try next when we return.

Yelp
Have been wanting to check this place out for awhile it's nice, but tight seating. We ended up sitting outside due to lack of seating inside. Make sure you call to reserve a table if you want something comfortable. Appetizers were great, but meat could of been less dry and more tender. Sauces were what made the dish stand out.
google avatar

Huyen N.

Yelp
I tried this place years ago and remembered the steaks being delicious. From then, it's been hard to revisit because of whatever reasons and forgetting about it until I'm seated elsewhere. Finally revisited years later and my memories of the juicy, delicious steak was sadly just a memory. I had the ribeye that lacked flavor and my guest had the American kobe that was a little tough and dry. The chimichurri sauce saved the meal though. We basically had to drench the steaks in the sauce to finish. We also had the fried brussel sprouts that were overly salted. The presentation were as simple as can be. Such a let down with the expensive meal.

Yelp
Amazing dinner!! We did the full tasting menu $62 pp. it brings appetizers to share: chorizo, empanadas, palm salad, fries, veggie, mashed potatoes, bruschetta, your choice if meat and dessert. Recommend getting the Entraña Fina, it was everybody's favorite! Service was top notch too. We also got bottles of wine to share and the Provoleta app.

Yelp
Lovely atmosphere that is perfect for date nights and special occasions. This steakhouse offers an Argentine dining experience with cuts of steak not found at other restaurants.

Yelp
I'm PICKY as I've been blessed to travel the world for client visits. I only bring this up as I've eaten in some phenomenal restaurants thanks to work. This place is clean (even restrooms), friendly staff, and the food is always amazing. I work for a huge IT firm, and I entertain a lot of people from the USA & globally but when entertaining here in NOLA, La Boca is a top choice & my clients love it. It's a little pricey, but believe me...you get more than you pay for. It's worth it! All my clients love this place. You won't be disappointed.

Shanita F.

Yelp
La Boca is a very cute steakhouse. It's pretty small on the inside, but the tables are at a good, comfortable distance from each other. It's a very cute place for a nice dinner or celebration. I ordered a lemon drop to drink, and it was quite good! Every sips was more refreshing than the last. The drink was about $11. I also ordered a special pie but I can't remember anything about the type of pie it was other than it had strawberries in it and almonds on top. It's also served with ice cream. The ice cream was good, the pie was not. That pie is so terrible and gritty. It was not a smooth texture at all. Please don't order that pie! Waitstaff was friendly, made lighthearted jokes while servicing the table. They did a great job.
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
Amazing steak. Check. Fantastic wine. Check. Friendly and helpful service. Check. Best gnocchi on the planet. Wait!? What!? Yes. The steak is some of the best in NOLA, but please do not leave without trying the gnocchi. Soft pillows loving tossed in a sauce that I could have eaten all by itself. La Boca is a fantastic restaurant all around and perfect for a date night. Pro tip: Plan it right and get the sampler you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Fantastic dinner tonight! We had the Chef's Tasting, which was a multi-course dinner for my wife and I. Our waiter was Damien, and he was great. Great personality, very attentive, and full of information for us. Dinner started with appetizers: Empanadas, sausage, and bruschetta. This was followed by a heart of palm salad and potato dumplings in an amazing white sauce. Then dinner: Filet Mignon and Hanger Steak, served with asparagus and garlic fries. Finally, a flourless chocolate cake. All of the food was incredible. The only problem was there was so much that we couldn't eat it all! My personal favorites of them all were the empanadas, potato dumplings, and the hanger steak. If my stomach was bigger, I could have continued eating all of those. This doesn't mean the rest wasn't delicious. Everything was incredible. These were just the best of the great foods! We travel quite a bit, and eat in a lot of restaurants. This was my favorite dinner in a very long time. The neighborhood was quiet, and a very nice change from the craziness of Bourbon Street and Canal Street.

Rhonda F.

Yelp
I don't know why this place is not packed out. The food was amazing! Highly recommend the Hanger Steak- absolutely mouthwatering! We also had the specialty fries and they were also delicious. Service was prompt and attentive - you won't be sorry if you want a delicious steak meal!

Molly S.

Yelp
The food, ambiance, and service was fantastic! It was our first time here and we will definitely be returning!

Jacques G.

Yelp
Atmosphere was nice with the dark lights, soothing music, all companies enjoying themselves. Service was quick, fast, attentive, ready for any questions about the menu. The food was simply not up to par. It was lacking seasoning and for it to be a steakhouse you should carry steak sauce. Especially when the steak lacks flavor that just a pinch of salt would have fixed.

Carol D.

Yelp
The food was excellent. Love the environment... Good for a date night or special event. Service was wonderful. So much fun.

Victor G.

Yelp
Smaller restaurant and easy walking distance from Marriott, very good service and food. I went along with recommended cut from our server which was exactly as he had described and very good

Yelp
Really this is a 4.5 star for me. Food - Let's get straight to the point. It's a steakhouse with costs that are going to rival my favorite steak in the city, Clancy's. For $7 dollars more, was La Boca better than Clancy's? YES! Absolutely delightful Filet Mignon **chef's kiss** Now here is where my rating gets tricky and here's where I have some advice for you. The empanadas were ok, the mashed potatoes were ok, the wine my wife got she said was ok, but the steaks were amazing. So here is my final take here, just get a steak. The steak is going to come on a plate with nothing, no sides, just your steak and you'll enjoy because it is delightful. Steak was also cooked perfectly! Final Review at Very Bottom Ambiance (4 stars) - Wife and I had date night here, booked the table earlier in the week and basically every time was available for reservation. We showed up and the place was pretty much empty but we were put at one of three high tables with high chairs in the restaurant. Other restaurants differentiate between where you'd be seating and I'd like to have that here. Really great ambience, it's dark, and it's great when they open the blinds for all the windows. This is really the lighting I want in a steakhouse. Service (2 stars) - For my wife and I the service was uncomfortable. We generally felt like it was annoyance to our waiter/waitress that we were there. Before we placed our order my wife asked what I felt was a pretty reasonable question "what sides are your favorite here"? The waiter/waitress responded "depends on what you like"? My wife enquired about the mashed potatoes vs French fries and waiter/waitress responded with "neither is better than the other, it depends on what you prefer". Yikes, thanks! We came for steaks, we didn't order an appetizer, but when we were told rather bluntly it would be 45 minutes until our steaks came out and we should consider an appetizer, we did. Our appetizer proceeded to come out within 5 minutes and our food followed 10/15 minutes later. I came for a steak so I had no interest in the appetizer, but when the waiter/waitress came back to check on us, they bluntly asked if we were going to eat the other appetizer portion. It was a really awkward experience and normally I wouldn't say anything about that however at this price point, service shouldn't stand out in a negative way. The Final Verdict : I'd go back but I'd cut everything besides the steak from the order. Now if you want more than just steak and you want good service, appetizers, maybe even I don't know a side or two included with your steak, I'd go somewhere else. That's the really interesting thing about this review is that although I loved the steak and it's what I'm going for, I don't think the entire experience was better than say a Clancy's or Boucherie and those places are less expensive and you get more.
google avatar

Dylan K.

Yelp
Very good steakhouse with excellent steak options! I think they had 3 different types of skirt steak alone and maybe 10-15 steak cut options total. I had one of the skirt steaks and it was absolutely delicious! They default to bringing out a few different steak sauces at no charge which was super cool. I loved the chimichurri! Excellent service as well!

Yelp
Worst dining experience in New Orleans. Steaks were undercooked and sent back but returned over cooked. Our table chose to do the chefs tasting - family style dining. The plates were taken with everyone's sides and retuned with no sides. However, an extra order of fries was given as a replacement. One meal was comped out of 5. Also, the masks having to be worn when the servers come to the table is excessive. I have not experienced that at any restaurant throughout this whole pandemic. The meal was not enjoyable and was exhausting by the end of it. Unfortunately will not be back even though it used to be a favorite.

Gregory J.

Yelp
Food was excellent, service was great, atmosphere was unique and definitely added to the dining experience.

Denise W.

Yelp
My husband made reservations for my birthday. We had a recommendation for La Boca being one of the best steakhouses in New Orleans. I was skeptical but it is true. We started with the hearts of palm salad which was light and refreshing. I chose the steak that comes with the avocado and it was amazing. It was so flavorful and no gristle or fat. I also had the flash fried Brussels Sprouts and they were delicious. We ended up splitting the flourless chocolate cake...there are not enough words to describe how good it was. Rich and decadent and a perfect end to a wonderful meal. I highly recommend this restaurant. The service was wonderful also

Marquette M.

Yelp
May be the best meal we had in New Orleans - no easy feat - and it's not even creole Or French, but an authentic Argentinian steakhouse. I found it on Culture City website and it was superb...I wish I could give it six stars. The hangar steak was the best I've ever had - even IN Buenos Aries. The beef empanadas were delicious , beef was good and the pastry excellent. The provaletta cheese with bruschetta was a YUMMY appetizer! Lagniappe for the night...we figured out we were on the Marci Gras parade route right outside the restaurant for the Krewe Vieux parade which was so much better than being in the French Quarter - hilarious satirical parade. And the dessert sampler was to die for! But....the food was the main thing and I'd highly recommend La Boca if you're visiting, and if you're a local GO now!

Sara I.

Yelp
The place is very beautiful. The steak, the fries, and the salad were all good. The service was amazing. Highly recommended!

Kenneth H.

Yelp
Very disappointing! We had reservations for 6 diners and arrived early to a half empty restaurant and asked if we could add a 7 th diner. The maitre de grudgingly agreed but then insisted that we order entrees and appetizers before we even had time to read the menu. When one of our number complained telling the maitre de/ hostess that he didn't have to be an a-hole, he was told to leave. We all chose to leave. As a New Orleans habitue' for60 or 70 years, it is quite disappointing to encounter such behavior in a supposedly top-drawer and unique restaurant. I hope that the next manager and staff will not be so anxious to "turn the table over. We will be back when they're gone. Nd staff Ch behavior Ole Tire Ined

Yelp
This December our family want again to La Boca and another amazing culinary experience. Total package, service food and ambiance. This place has it all. Don't miss the grilled cheese and of course grab a steak, after all this is their specialty. Enjoy. One of our favorite places in all of New Orleans. The food, the service, the Wine and the place are all just the best. It is a total Experience in every visit.

Yelp
Went for a friend's birthday dinner, had reservations, just a party of four. Found it odd that we had to order our appetizers and meal at the same time, waiter said the "chef insisted". Food was good, we had the cheese and Gaucho plate for apps, everyone had a different cut of steak for their entree. Biggest complaint is that service was not New Orleans quality. Too pretentious; our waiter was downright rude at times. There are so many great steakhouses in the city that really shine in regards to customer service... my suggestion would be to take a page from their playbook and retrain staff.

Yelp
Visited La Boca for a small celebration and was please to find them open and easy to make a reservation online. We arrived ahead of time and "masked" as required and were promptly seated and able to put in our drink order with the attentive staff. We started with an order of beef empanadas, which was perfect for two people to share. Our Entrees were the 20oz Ribeye and 14oz NY Strip both ordered medium rare and each did not dissapoint as they were grilled perfectly to our liking. For sides we shared an order of French fries and grilled asparagus; and we completed our meal with a rich chocolate mousse. La Boca did not dissappoint as both an Excellent steakhouse and a perfect spot to celebrate an occasion.

Yelp
This was hands down the best meal I had while in Nola, and I feel like we did nothing but eat while we were there. We did a tasting of a bunch of things off the menu and every single item was better than the next. The service was impeccable, the food was amazing (we had empanadas, gnocchi, steaks and fries). I truly couldn't tell you which was my favorite because I loved them all so much. My biggest complaint is that there isn't one in New York because I will be dreaming of this meal for quiteeee a while. The wine was amazing too, but I forget the name of the bottle we had. If you're looking for a romantic/classy/fabulous meal this is without a doubt the place to go.

Yelp
Romantic dinner was ruined, we ordered la Boca steak, Mollajas -veal , apparently it is not a meat, it's veal gland organ taste weird, waitress did not explain. With glass of house wine it cost us $97.00 Overcharged. Watch out for it!

Yelp
So I'm not a big red meat eater but when I do decide to treat myself, La Boca is the place I go. I've dined here several times now and I've had nothing but great experiences. This past Monday I took some business friends from Chicago here and they were impressed and couldn't stop telling me how much they enjoyed it. Our waitress Hannah was extremely friendly and always made sure we were taken care of. Hannah keep up the great work and La Boca keep doing what you do best! P.S. Get the hanger steak with the Brussel sprouts

Yelp
How uncomfortable can it be to add one chair to a table on a not busy Saturday night! The host was so rude and someone from our party had to leave. The food might be a 10 but it doesn't make up for the bad time.

Yelp
Good, not the best, ordered medium rare would have prefer rare with their cooking style.. servers nice, friendly, lots of water options. Fancy place. The family style with 5 courses was fun and worth it to try the whole small menu. The ice cream cake was out of this world. The gnocci was our fav appetizer, salad, with heart of palm, was one of the best salads ever. Order it

Yelp
Cool place. Would recommend! Yummy empanadas. Good steak cuts. They have an interesting entree that has a skin peel on it which adds an interesting texture. Worth a try!

Yelp
I started this review in the restaurant and never finished. I think I was too preoccupied with the yummy meal and attentive service. If I ever visit "Nawlins" again, I hope La Boca will be open and just as great as before.

Yelp
I came here for a chicken sandwich and sweat tea based on the owners comments on some of previous reviews....he clearly doesn't give af and I love it lol!!!!! Instead, I had a fantastic hanger steak and some cold beer. Additionally there was some kickass cheese appetizer that we devoured with our forks like kids eating cheese off a hot pizza.....all the food was really good, but those are my highlights!!

Yelp
Amazing service and the food was outstanding! Very kind and accommodating to our handicapped/wheelchair needs. That was very appreciated!

Yelp
I've been pescatarian for 13 years and had celiacs my whole life and we came here for our friend's birthday. I never want to be the downer so I was expecting to just order a salad and wine be fine celebrating my friend. But when I spoke with the waiter she assured me the chef would take care of me and she did!! 4 courses made just for me. I was ecstatic!!! Thank you chef!!! This was the only restaurant on our 4 days here that didn't give me a hard time for my celiacs disease. Thank you for valuing me and going above and beyond.

Yelp
Had dinner here a few nights ago. The space, the service and most importantly the steak were all excellent. The NY strip is a must! The wine list offers perfect pairings for steak/meat. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
This was perhaps the worst meal we've had in New Orleans. Everyone ordered steak and each one was overcooked. The garlic fries were ok, but we were looking forward to Argentinian steak. The waitress took dirty utensils off the plate and put them on the table. I don't recommend.
