Google
First time here and I was impressed! When you first walk up it just looks like a small little spot to order meat or beer to go, but they walk you through what looks like a freezer door and it leads you into the restaurant and bar area. It's really nice inside! We ordered brunch, the service was great and the food was really good! I would definitely come back!

Google
More like a speakeasy than a brewery Caught me off guard and I felt like we were louder than everyone there but I guess we behaved, didn’t get kicked out. Smooth beer and the location is super safe with a parking garage too. Check it once or twice ;)

I visited LA Bodega Brewing Company last Friday and had a great experience, thanks in large part to our server, Brian. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcome super friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to. He gave great recommendations and had perfect timing throughout the night. The food was just as impressive. Everything we ordered came out fresh and full of flavor, and the beer selection was on point. I’ve been thinking about coming back ever since and next time, I’ll definitely be asking for Brian again.

Parking is easy on the weekends, with a parking structure nearby and streets having ample places. However, make a reservation! Is a must! Odd building, it seems like a small market as you enter, and I realized that the main door is this huge frozen meat locker door. Ingenious! The decor is fantastic! As you enter, it is a small place and quite a frenzy of movement . So many beers! There are so many specialty drinks! The food is great! Tasty large plates and a good selection. Decor interior is to die for. The ambiance kind of wavered... there are no windows there is a small room for a gathering. Beyond that, it's a great hole in the wall meet up for friends and family. Give it a try.

Google
The staff is friendly, and there’s a good selection of CBs on tap. However, the venue caters more to regular restaurant patrons than dedicated CB enthusiasts. Prices are reasonable. The drinking area is located indoors, beyond a steel gate past the shop section, and is accessible only after approval from both the reception and bar staff.

Google
Make a reservation! Small restaurant but quaint. Nice decor and great vibe! Food was out-of-this-world! I can't wait to go back & try their brunch. We started out w/ guacamole and chips which was very good!!! The wagu burger was amazing and it was the best burger I've ever had. The roasted carrots were excellent! The sea bass was also good but have had better. Expect to spend some time there if you order the wagu streak. Overall, it was a very good experience.

Google
Great food, great beer, great atmosphere. We were priveleged to get a little semi-private table cause we had 4 kids and 4 adults. Service was a little slow. From sitting us 45 min after our reservation time to taking 30 min for our drinks to arrive. Food was great and was thoughtfully crafted. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Google
Nobody Told me about La Bodega so totally decided to stop by based on curb appeal. Have seen these stainless vessels as I drove by. The service was great. Very helpful and candid suggestions on the brew. The decor is classy. Now about the food. We had omelette, tacos, a smash burger, and a ham steak. To leave described as that would be an injustice. The food is spectacular. Just go with what your gut tells you because it will definitely thank you. They are masters of their craft, food and brews are done right!!

Yelp
Food was delisious and staff was extra friendly. I would recommend this place..............

Yelp
Good service, large portions, all the food we had was good, the fries, beans, carne con chili, the guac and chips. The cocktails are made with wine I believe and it was so yummy! The restaurant itself was very elegant, cool set up with the meat market vibes.

Yelp
First time we went during the week it was good, we had el Comal some chips and beer. It was three of us and the portions of meat were ok (&70). We returned today, Saturday and it was busy we order chile rojo and a hamburger. .the sauce on the chile rojo was good however, the portions on my plate (3) were tiny. They got confused with his order, they brought us a chicken sandwich first instead of the hamburger. Then they brought me another hamburger, which I wanted to accept so I did not had to wait anymore but my husband said I should wait to eat what I wanted. By the time they brought the chile rojo My husband was almost finished. I was not found of the side of beans either, the seemed to be from a can. I really wanted to return my plate but I was hungry so I ate the tortillas to fill up( I normally don't eat tortillas. I am sorry but for &30 should be a decent piece of meat....if it was not for the tortillas I would have have to eat at home. The beer is ok, $12 for a tiny glass I don't think we will be coming back soon.

Yelp
The food is great and fresh. I love that it has a small town feel. The ambiance is nice, but pretty small. The tables are small and difficult to eat at. Would come back :)

Yelp
This is truly one of the best speakeasies out there. The food is out of this world good, and the drinks are fire! I highly recommend going for their happy hour, every Friday at 12PM-4PM. They serve one of the best gourmet burgers for happy hour called the Bodega burger with fries. Every bite of the burger you can taste, which can be hard to get right for most gourmet burgers. Service was exceptional from our server, Anthony, going above and beyond in probably one of the best food/drink service experiences I've ever had. Ambiance is just like you would expect from a speakeasy, secluded but feeling like you have exclusive VIP vibes inside. It's a great place to bring family/friends or even a romantic date. Definitely need to go back, especially since I was told from our server that the brunch menu is great too!

Mario S.

Yelp
Had dinner with my family to celebrate my birthday and the service was extremely good. The food is off the hook and the drinks are great. My son's brought in a cake and they provided all the utensils and plates, they made for a great birthday.

Patty N.

Yelp
We came for breakfast here on a Saturday morning without a reservation they took us immediately and There was no wait and it looked like it was closed but it wasn't. It's a speakeasy. Very clean l

Kelly C.

Yelp
Disrespectful manager, server. They charged twice for all the foods that we ordered. And the manager came and said "what's the problem here? " and he laughed at us. What an attitude! You. Charged twice for all the foods that we ordered and you asking what's the problem? Oh my! You need to know how to use your POS and you need to learn how to talk to customers. Guys! I recommend not to go but if you still want to go, you should always check your bill.

Magdalena R.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place!!! And will definitely be back to try more items on the menu! Parking: There is street parking and a small parking lot to the right of the building! Entrance and wait-time: When entering it looks like a small butcher/ brewery shop but the restaurant is through the huge fridge door! Loved the speakeasy vibe. There is someone at the register to help you with seating just let them know you are there for the restaurant! Seating : They have table and bar seating. We came twice, once on a Saturday evening and got bar sitting, which was about a five minute wait. The second time we decided to come Saturday morning which was a bit more crowded and we waited about 30 min for a table. It does look like it gets packed during the weekend so I would suggest you go to their website and RSVP or RSVP on Yelp! Service: The host was very welcoming! And waiters were friendly and informative! Our meals came out with in 10 min and were attentive with our waters and seeing if we wanted anything else. Food: We ordered from the brunch menu and got THE BUTCHER'S SMASH BURGER and the SHORT RIB CHILE COLORADO CHILAQUILES!! Which is now one of my favorite spots to get them at!!! They have a variety of Cervezas/Beer and they all sounded delicious so we had to get the flight!!! We ordered the Hazlitt, Azteca, Westcoast IPA, March Madness! Our favorite was the HAZLITT!! Will definitely be back to try another fight and more food!!

Tanya V.

Yelp
The food, service, and vibes of this place are the best. You walk in to what looks like a store selling beer and some beef from cooler doors like a market/deli and then they open what looks like a big freeer door to a restaurant and bar. The service was amazing they are very attentive. The rib eye was delicious the sea bass was light and fresh. The mashed potatoes were garlicky and delicious.. the cilantro lime rice was kind of plain it kind of tasted like plain sticky rice I will definitely get the esquite next time and skip the rice.. we ordered the bread pudding it comes with ice cream on top omg!! Sooo good make sure you leave room for dessert. I have nothing but great things to say about this place it's small but such a cool place to go have a nice dinner..

Jackie B.

Yelp
First timer here. Definitely an interesting experience. As you go in it definitely doesn't look like a restaurant at all. It's unique and on the romantic side. It's dark inside but with enough light to see your friends or whomever you're with. The food is good but for the price and portions there's competition. I had the Chile Colorado plate that came with a side of beans and 3 hand made tortillas. Which the tortillas definitely is a must eat if you're looking to get somewhat full. The flavors are good nonetheless and the service is great. The server was very attentive and helpful. The strawberry mojito was very good. I'd recommend if you're looking for something refreshing. Cheers!

Yelp
Had a wonderful weekend and it was highlighted by a first time visit to La Bodega Brewing . People!!! This is a hidden gem. It has a great vibe. Relaxed and chill but very classy in a really great way. Establishment was impeccable. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The food was fresh and tasted delicious. The beverages were amazing . I cannot recommend this place enough. Had such a wonderful experience. Cannot wait to come back.

Yelp
It was a Tuesday night in the heart of Whittier Village. My partner Gunga & I got a tip the best Steaks in town are served here. So, we investigated Walking into the small Foyer of the La Bodega Brewing Company, we observed a display of Tomahawk, Waygu and Tri-Tips behind a sheet of glass displaying their wears. In the far corner, sat a young woman in black. Who is she? Is she here to meet someone? She broke the silence "Can I help you"? Gunga said "We're here to see the Butcher". The mystery girl replied; "One moment". Soon, a large steel door, two inches thick, opened by a well dressed gentleman said "The Butcher is ready". We entered the hidden Dining Room, transporting us into an upscale area reminiscent of the Private Clubs of the Old World. You might expect to see Clark Gable and Greta Garbo in a booth, in the back, in a corner, in the dark. Or, perhaps The Rat Pack at the Bar choosing from the multitude of IPAs, Lagers and Stouts. We were seated in a comfortable booth / table, and began perusing the virtual QR menu from our department provided mobile phones. Gunga ordered Wings & a Steak Burger. I decided on the Drunken Japanese Waygu 6oz. Steak shown here as evidence. It arrived Medium-Rare as ordered. The well marbled Steak melted in my mouth. Presented over stones lying among course sea salt. This is in fact, one of the best Steaks I've had since Obama served his first term. The service, ambiance and total experience Was certainly memorable. We finished our drinks and left without any witnesses. When in Whittier I hope you get a chance to search for the La Bodega Brewing Company and discover for yourself a diamond in the rough within the Whittier Village. As always, Eat in Good Health.

Yelp
Food service ambiance the bomb! This place is a gem for n uptown Whittier..glad they also have Filipino beer in the Haus..highly recommended

Mary Ann V.

Yelp
Speakeasy Non descript meat market in the front but when you come in, it's a nice gathering spot Food is delicious (carne asada fries and corn). Their hard seltzers are delicious (guava). I would like to come back for the steak and how they prepare it.

Kim U.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday and ordered the guacamole appetizer and it was so good. It was spicy and I felt like we got more than three scoops. The last time we came here the amount was very paltry. The burger was excellent except that I ordered it with bacon and they forgot it. They offered to put it in after I ate half of it, but I declined. I asked the server to make sure my fries were hot and he did.

Catherine Kat L.

Yelp
Super cool spot, everyone was really nice and hospitable. Sat us in a private area and accommodated us for a party of 9 including 2 kids. Food was really good and the drinks even better... that 12% Berry seltzer is amazing.. our waiter was really helpful and knowledgeable and hooked us up with beer and seltzer flights to try.. Will definitely be back.

Kathryn C.

Yelp
If you're in the Whittier area for dinner, this place is an absolute MUST. As you walk through the front entrance, a large refrigerator door "speakeasy-esk " opens to a beautiful restaurant. The drinks were outstanding, and service was great. I had the cucumber basil martini .. I highly suggest! We ordered a shareable Mexican style dinner, chicken, steak chorizo, all family style. It was delicious... and I must say the Guacamole is delightful. All & all this restaurant is great for a Friday night with the girls, or that special someone you love.

Anthony R.

Yelp
So delicious every time!! Great service!! AC is blowing cool! Music in point! Today I went with their brunch item Chilaquiles Verdes and a Guava Seltzer

Ethan W.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was top notch. The vibes were awesome and the facade out front is very tidy and professional.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that from the outside it doesn't look as grand but don't let that steer you away. Once you make your way through their "freezer" door it'll take you to magic...well the next best brewery in Whittier. I have to say service throughout dinner was great. You can see that they work as team because they didn't wait for one server to take our order. If we were ready anyone who approached us was willing to help. The food and drinks were another great highlight. We had the seltzer La Fresa. Their seltzer doesn't have a lot of carbonation unlike other seltzers. We also had the raspberry margarita which has to be my favorite. I loved that it has a hint of sweetness and bitterness; perfect combo of both. It's also great that all of their dishes can easily be shared which makes it easier to try more of their dishes. We had the guacamole with chicharron; nothing too special but it did have great taste. Now the star of the show was the Bodega fries! I would say you have to get these as an appetizer. I wish we would have gotten the comal because we got a glimpse of it on another table and it came with different meats to share and it came on a small comal. This can be a great for a girls night or impress a date. Don't miss out!

Deadra T.

Yelp
Cool little speak easy, brewery. Food was delicious. Service was excellent. We sat at the bar. Walk ins. No reservations. It was a Sunday afternoon around 3pm. Only a handful of people when we arrived, sitting at some tables. Eclectic. Different. We had the Carne Asada fries and they were FIRE!!! We almost ordered a second, but decided to try a different dish, so we ordered the burger with the Chile con carne Mac and Cheese. OMG! Drool city! Let's just say, we were NOT disappointed! Food is really good here. Especially when you are taking back some cold ones, it fits the bill. The beer was ok. Not the best I've had, but decent. We had a flight and a strawberry margarita. Now, that was good! We will definitely be back for the food and marg! Cheers!

Rhiannon R.

Yelp
We've been trying to eat here since they opened (hubby and I). Finally we're able to slip on in. Our waiter Adrian, was great, very nice and good recommendations. We ordered and array of items Comal - was good, but $70.00 seems excessive considering the portion - see photo. Brussel sprouts - were phenomenal! Handmade tortillas- perfect Beans - just as good as my mother n laws Chili verde Mac n cheese - loved the idea, but the consistency of the cheese was off putting (very watery). Fries - seasoned to perfection I would go back again- yes!

Yelp
Visited La Bodega on a Saturday night, just went for a tasty brew.I let the bartender know I liked light crisp beer, she recommended a Hazzitt. It was delish. I get enjoyed spending time there. It was a good change from being on Greenleaf.I highly recommend this spot. The food looked amazing as well

Rigo T.

Yelp
Amazing place! So secretive & unique! High quality, Bring y'all shorties here fellas'!

Louise R.

Yelp
First time here! Cool entrance to the restaurant, looks like you're walking into a meat locker. Felt like we were dining in a member's only club We tried flights and appetizers the GUACAMOLE CON CHICHARRÓN Ripe Hass avocado, charred serrano, red onion, tomato, freshly squeezed lime juice, diced queso panela, topped with roasted pepitas, accompanied with pork chicharron. Really good. Along with EL REY SHRIMP El Rey beer battered shrimp tossed in chipotle aioli on a bed of Napa cabbage, garnished with fresh Chile Fresno. Side of ginger scallion salsa. Tasty but be careful with those Fresno chilies they are spicy. This was a late night snack everything was really tasty service was awesome! We will definitely be back for dinner.

Steven O.

Yelp
It's Valentine's Day, I brought my beautiful girlfriend here and everything was amazing. The reservation worked perfectly with only a couple minutes of wait time. The food is so good here, the meat is extremely tender and the beer is ridiculously tasty. We absolutely love this spot, we will be back.

Haili A.

Yelp
This is a really great spot to try out if you are in the uptown Whittier area. There are many great spots in uptown and this is one of my top 5 favorite. The service is always so great and friendly. They brew all of their beers in house and also make their Seltzers in house. They are really cool about letting you sample before ordering. I've tried a few different things off the menu and while not the healthiest, it's a good option for a cheat day. What I really like about this spot is how small and intimate it feels. It almost feels like a VIP lounge lol.

Cathrine S.

Yelp
What an experience! This bar & restaurant is like no other. Located behind the door of a meat market, it can be easy to miss! Once you pass through the large vaulted door you enter into a speakeasy lounge with beautiful decor and ambiance. Seating is available in a private room, open seating, and bar seating. Their margaritas were freshly made and their food was unbelievable. The quality of the meat was undeniably good, I can't say enough positive things about our experience here. Although it's not local for us, I would return in the future and highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique date night or night out with friends. Must try!!

Debbie T.

Yelp
This place is soooo great! The food was full of flavor and the service was great! Brian was serving us and he was Amazing! It is a speakeasy restaurant and the ambiance was warm and welcoming! They have lot of variety of meats and beers! I will come back for sure!

Bill S.

Yelp
The Mrs. and I had dinner at La Bodega Brewing on Tuesday night. La Bodega sits on a side street in Uptown Whittier. A very quiet side street on a Tuesday night I might add. I didn't know it, but La Bodega brewing is a speakeasy. I only know that now because when we walked in I though I was in a butcher shop of sorts. A very small space with meat, spices, sauces, and merch on display. The hostess radioed to the dining room and a waiter opened up the "freezer" door and took us to our table. The dining room is a pretty large space. There is a small private dining room to your right as you walk in and the bar is located in the back of the room off to the right. Beer and wine are the only offering from the bar since La Bodega doesn't have a license to serve hard alcohol. However, you can get a Margarita made with Agave wine if you choose. Our waiter was really good. Unfortunately I didn't get his name. He was very patient with us and let us take our time. Which was great for me because I was kind of not in the right mindset to be going out to dinner afterwork on a Tuesday......but I carried on like any decent beer loving person would. Since I'm a hoppy beer kind of guy, I ordered a glass of the Toma Double IPA which was described as: "Brewed with a combination of four hops, this IPA provides floral and earthy notes on the nose, but a bite on the tongue. Enjoy with caution." The description was spot on. The menu is extensive. La Bodega serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday if that is your thing. The Mrs. and I opted to share a few dishes. We started out with the chips and salsa. The salsa was really good. It had a smokey flavor to it that offset the spice. We also ordered the Grilled Caesar's salad. It was a deconstructed work of art made up of grilled romaine hearts drizzled with La Bodega's homemade Tijuana style Caesar's dressing, dusted with their very own parmesan cheese, and accompanied with baked brioche style croutons. One of the best Caesar salads we've had. For our main dish, we shared the Chile Verde which is one of my favorite dishes. Most places you go to just throw chunks of pork into a tomatillo sauce and leave it at that. Which seems to be the traditional way. Not La Bodega Brewing. They take Chile Verde a step further in my view and elevate what is, to me, a very humble dish. Slow cooked pork spareribs, tomatillo, charred onion, garlic, dressed greens and organic handmade corn tortillas, served with refried beans on the side. The refried beans were incredible as well. I was hesitant about the dressed greens and curious about the slow cooked pork spareribs and how the two were going to dance together in the tomatillo sauce. It was the perfect Jarabe Tapatio of the saltiness of the pork, the sweetness of the sauce, and the bitterness of the greens. I'm still thinking about it.

Yelp
Sunday dinner for party of 7 gone great The servers were friendly and attentive. Good place for large groups. The food was good. Servings are plenty to share.

Brenda H.

Yelp
Highly recommend the SHORT RIB CHILE COLORADO CHILAQUILES! This dish was delicious and packed with flavor. The CONCHA BREAD PUDDING dessert was perfect, not overpoweringly sweet.

Monica C.

Yelp
REPEAT OFFENDERS - I believe is what we will be known as- FOOD- stellar Atmosphere- other worldly service - SECOND TO NONE - I do not know and will never forgive myself for all The times I had no idea what was behind that steal door- And why drove by dumb founded - STOP- PARK-ENTER AND EMBRACE one of the true JEMS HIDDEN HERE IN WHITTIER California

Andrew C.

Yelp
The service here is horrible!! For a very slow and empty Sunday we've been ignored most of our visit. Out server disappeared without saying anything. We've had no replacement and have been stuck waiting for the bill for over 25 mins. The bar tender is busy on her phone, the food runner won't help us, this place is terrible when it comes to service.

Dan B.

Yelp
Discovered this gem several weeks ago. They have become known for their locally manufactured beer. We had their Japanese rice beer which was a delight. Even more delightful was dinner. The founders of the the restaurant came from a family involved in meat distribution, and it showed. We shared their El Comal.dish which featured chef's cuts of meat. The meat was tender with every bite flavoral. We will definitely return.

Leslee R.

Yelp
Rude waitress, initially sat me down at a table but I said I'd like to sit at the bar, so I ordered my drink but then I decided to sit back where she wanted to sit me. Rude waitress came back to tell me it's dine in only at that table( she never told me it's dine in when I walked in) and that table is part of her service for the night... so I couldn't sit there. I was just trying to finish my one drink. I went back to the bar and finished my drink and left. The brewery/ restaurant was practically empty. It's kind of disappointing to be mistreated when you're not even being rude. Hope everyone else has a better experience. Ps. Bartenders were super friendly!

Olivia M.

Yelp
This place is great. Very clean, Since the moment we got there. the staff was amazing & very friendly, The place is a little small I read max occupancy is 77 people. Our server Adrian was awesome, very nice & very attentive to our needs. She welcome us since it was our first time there, she explain the menu in detail. I love the fact that the menu has a little camera icon so you can see the picture of almost all the plates of food. If your like me that you eat with your eye this is a great feature. We order two comals they were delicious the 3 meats were cooked to perfection very nice & juicy, the beans were great, the rice not so much since it's lemon lime rice it would of been better with Spanish rice. It also comes with 6 yummy tortillas, they're to die for, really nice & tick. Possibly home made but I'm not sure. They were delicious. The comal has a little compartment to keep the tortillas nice & warm. My son order a chicken salad it was also really good. The only reason I took off a star was because this place is super expensive the comal only comes with the 3 meats, tortillas & salsa no rice or beans that's extra for $66 why not include the rice & beans? I get it the meat is a good quality but man when I saw my bill, I almost die. The menu says the comal feeds 2-3 people. It really does not feed that many. I honestly think it only feed one person because they only give you a handful of meats not that much, it might feed two if one person eats one taco. Because you're basically filling yourself up with the tortilla. I would have been starving if I had not order the rice & beans. With that being said I do recommend this place after all the meat is cooked amazing, but maybe for a special occasion, or a date night but not just to go out & have dinner.

Gabriela M.

Yelp
Such a cute speakeasy! You would never have guessed that a hidden bar is located in the back of their front store (meat market). The service was excellent from the moment we walked in. We were greeted by their host and seated within a couple of mins. We ordered the Bodega Burger & Short Rib Chilaquiles. Both dishes were great. The atmosphere was really upbeat, customer service was excellent, and the decor is beautiful. I highly recommend! We will be back.

Isabel P.

Yelp
This place is awesome! It has been a really long time since I've gone to a restaurant and come out completely satisfied. The drinks were great! Michelada's on point. The service was great. Bartender was so nice and answered any questions I had about rotating beers and got some fun facts about where else we can find their beer. Whoever controlled the music tonight also did great! Enjoyed the whole speakeasy vibe they have. We just found our new date night spot

Cynthia R.

Yelp
Food was delicious! We tried the CHILE COLORADO and the U.S.D.A PRIME NEW YORK STRIP STEAK. The Chile Colorado melted in your mouth and delicious (had a little kick). The New York strip steak was delicious ordered it medium and came out Perfect! We also order the MEXICAN LAGER and it was smooth! I would definitely come back!

Jennifer R.

Yelp
Must visit! I was surprised at the delicious food menu options. Service was so great and the ambiance was very welcoming. Although it's not really suited for kids, the staff was really nice and accommodating when I took my little one for a family birthday dinner. A little pricy but Definitely coming back.

Alex M.

Yelp
What an awesome location. From the outside your like "that's it" but once the password is said and the door opens what a cool little speakeasy. A must try if your around the area or take a drive to try it out. Let's start with the beer. Started with my personal beer of choice. A Hazy IPA HAZLITT. HAZLITT is a New England style IPA, aka Hazy IPA, is a smooth, non-bitter ale with robust hop aroma and hints of guava, grapefruit, mango and tropical fruit. Then I moved on to something a little lighter. The WHITTIER ICE CREAM ALE which is a CREAM ALE. The Whittier Ice Cream ale is silky, sweet, and packed with flavor. This beer bridges the gap between a lager and an ale. Beers were very good but out of these two I would stick with the HAZLITT. Now let's talk about the food. We didn't get a meal, we just shared a bunch of appetizers. A good way to try a little bit of everything. GUACAMOLE CON CHICHARRÓN - Ripe Hass avocado, charred serrano, red onion, tomato, freshly squeezed lime juice, diced queso panela, topped with roasted pepitas, accompanied with pork chicharron. Guacamole was amazing but wish it was the Chicharron with mean on it not the kind that's just the skin like you buy in a bag at the market. BODEGA FRIES - Diced grilled U.S.D.A prime flat iron steak, crispy bistro fries, premium monterey jack cheese, mayocoba refried beans, pico de gallo, topped with pickled jalapenos. These were great. Cooked perfectly and meat was very tender and flavorful. EL REY SHRIMP - El Rey beer battered shrimp tossed in chipotle aioli on a bed of Napa cabbage, garnished with fresh Chile Fresno. Side of ginger scallion salsa. These were another hit. Finished them and was left wanting more. CHILE MORITA WINGS - Mary's Free Range Chicken Wings crisped to perfection and flavored with chile morita and scallions. Wings were good. It reminded me of mole which was a good thing. Great flavor and just the right amount of heat. A must try. Chips and salsa - can you really go wrong with these. House made chips with a house made salsa. Taste like it was a fire roasted salsa. Good little starter to share while having a beer and good conversation. Great place, good food and great beer. If you go on a weekend I would suggest a reservation because it will be crowded. Stay hungry my friends.

Yelp
Loved the service (shoutout Moe) , food and drinks! Even though it's a brewery, there are also mix drinks and seltzers to enjoy. (My favorite is the guava seltzer... so good!) We'll definitely be going back.

Yelp
Wonderfully put together restaurant hehehehe. The service is, as another comment said, second to none. We had one main server with blonde hair and ponytail, 10/10 service. She was very kind and made sure to get our requests quick. 10/10 service!! From time to time other servers came to check up on us :). The place is small and comfortable and has a small lounge area. Near the entrance! The food, now the food was AMAZINGG!! I got a loaded potato which was pretty big, and most importantly filling. The chicken was SO GOOD !! I think one of the best dishes out of my entire family's was the Chile Colorado. The pork was so tender and juicy it was so good, I'm glad my brother let me have a piece lol. If there's every an opportunity to go here again that definitely what I'm getting. My other brother got the bodega burger and said the meat was juicy, so I'm guessing he liked it as well. Loved this place :)

Yelp
My husband and I went on Wednesday for our wedding anniversary. I got the sea bass and vegetable medley, my husband got steak and brussels sprouts. The vegetable medley came out maybe 10 minutes before everything else. We were hungry so we ate it, so I was left with no side. The food is delicious! I would highly recommend going but not for a special occasion. I removed 1 star because of the food situation and because our waitress never came back. We had to flag someone else down to refill our drinks. I doubt we'd go back.

Yelp
The ambiance and s top notch. The locals give this establishment the "Cheers" feeling. The food was delish! I ordered the x2Bodega burgers and Ay papas and honestly it was a lot of food for 2 people. The Service was very good. I recommend, and can't wait to go back.

Yelp
My wife and I found this place on Yelp. It's been here 3 years and we really never noticed it. Good thing we finally tried it. Everything was good. My wife ordered the chicharon and is was excellent. I ordered the Bodega burger also excellent. Our server told to try the pudding for dessert. Again very good. Good experience. We'll be back.

Yelp
I was initially looking for a brewery to spend my Saturday evening, but was so surprised to come across this hidden gem! I tried a beer flight, and was thoroughly impressed by all the depth of flavor of each beer, even the lager. For food, I ordered the bodega fries, Chile verde Mac and cheese, as well as the Confit Spare Ribs. The bodega fries were super flavorful. The star of the entire dish was the steak! It was honestly some of the most flavorful steaks, with such good texture as well. The mac and cheese I will say was the star of the night. Although the Mac and cheese doesn't have the same texture as regular Mac and cheese (thick and creamy), it certainly had the perfect amount of flavor from the Chile verde. The Confit Spare ribs were cooked to perfection, falling right off the bone. They were both acidic and sweet, with the sauce just completing the dish. The portions were also great for all the dishes. The ambiance also added to the overall meal. I initially heard about this place through Disney, since they have some beers at DCA, but it definitely it such a cute little spot for many different occassions.
