Uruguayan & Spanish Basque tapas, craft cocktails & fine wines

"“La Bodega in Watertown is a lovely Uruguayan restaurant with glass ceilings, lots of natural light, and beautiful plants. I love their wood-grilled flounder with hazelnuts and brown butter. Their ‘Parrilla Completa’ with ribeye, pork sausage, and free-range chicken makes a great family meal, and their cocktails are always on point.” — Patricia Estorino" - Erika Adams

Other limited babka specials have played with pandan or cream cheese with guava ganache. Preorder for pickups on Tock. Other cakes, cookies, and merch can be bought and shipped around the country." - Gabe Hiatt

"Superb Gazpacho MC Slim JB visits La Bodega by Salts in Watertown for his latest Improper Bostonian review. The menu features what Slim calls 'elemental tapas,' in the style of Spanish and French-Basque cooking, with a touch of Uruguay. 'It’s an inviting, intimate setting for grazing,' Slim writes, calling out the pan con tomate for its status as a 'crazy-simple' and 'crazy-good' item. He also calls the kale salad delectable and recommends the grilled provolone, which comes 'generously dusted with oregano.' The white gazpacho is 'superb,' while the Maine oysters get a subtle smokiness from the charcoal grill. Finally, the wild mushroom escabeche 'wows with clever embellishments,' like baby artichoke nuggets and a 'tenderly poached farm egg.' Overall, Slim writes, the restaurant is 'a very sweet place' to be." - Dana Hatic

"The latest project from Gabriel Bremer and Analia Verolo (formerly of Salts), drawing on Uruguayan, Spanish, and Basque country influences. It’s a recommended dinner destination in Watertown — try the heirloom carrots if available and the Uruguayan ribeye with chimichurri." - Terrence Doyle
