Google
We always find delicious surprises on their menu. The corn tortillas smell heavenly and taste devine! Service was great.

Google
I have been shopping here and eating at the restaurant for probably 7 years and it's always delicious food, affordable groceries. I like the buy the chili peppers here for cooking but I also plant the seeds in the garden. I buy produce here regularly too. Its one of the only places that sells Culantro and also they have good Cilantro as well. I recommend the pastries or donuts! They have cakes too for parties. They folks here are nice and I enjoy eating there or getting take out. The food is so delicious and I like that it's affordable.

Google
Received wonderful attention from Carlos. Enjoyed a delicious lunch with my sister. Even got to sample Carlos’ homemade Mole’.

Google
Authentic. Not TexMex. Flood looks great but is pretty bland. Restaurant is in the back of a grocery store.

Google
Picked up the beef, Sopes they are really good. The salsa is really spicy. Coming back!

Google
We love the food at Bodagita. We usually get take out. Plus the little tienda attached has delicious avocados and other Hispanic staples.

Google
Ordered from doordash last night for me and my fiance and it was amazing best torta I've had in a long time and my fiance seconds that motion will definitely be ordering again

Google
Carne Asada or “grilled beef” for $14.99! You get two slabs of steak, grilled cactus, home cooked pot of beans, avocado salad, and rice with tortillas on the side! What a deal! Amazing flavor and best way to have steak tacos is to DIY!! Note, they only serve beer but they can make a michelada. The mixed meat street tacos they sell on Saturdays is worth getting too. They have a small but very wide selection store that has mostly grocery items. This is where I get my big, grilled bag of 12” CORN tortillas to make tlayludas at home. The prices are decent but I’ve noticed cheaper grocery prices at other authentic Hispanic shops in town. This place does offer the best tasting Asada deal in town though for sure. I recommend it over the Cecina since they had the same texture and fixings, just the Cecina didn’t have that bold flavor like the Asada.

Yelp
My family and I have been coming here for many years. Every time we come, the food is very filling and delicious. The portions were great, but this time the food wasn't good. The mole was just with a good spice but not tasteful. The salsa verde was super sour. I'm Mexican and I know when the food doesn't taste authentic. Idk what happened within the restaurant but something had changed. The service was okay. The ambiance was quiet and nice. Hopefully whenever we come back it's worth it.

Yelp
I enjoyed some tasty steak fajitas here on a busy Saturday late afternoon. We were quickly seated and given complimentary chips/salsa - an automatic win! They had x3 different types of salsa at varying spice levels which were fun to try. The menu itself was plentiful, ranging from your standard tacos to fajitas, carne asada, seafood dishes, and more. The sizzling fajitas came out promptly and were delicious, complimented by rice beans, avocado, lettuce, and tortillas along with onions, green peppers, and tomatoes on the plate itself. For around $15, this place can't be beat. I also tried their horchata which was also tasty. Pro tip: cash is preferred at this venue, and there is a small Hispanic grocery store inside as well. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone in Hot Springs looking for a Mexican food fix!

Yelp
This was not a good experience. Ordered from them due to their high Yelp rating, but I received Mole sauce that tasted like BBQ sauce, dry bits of chicken in the enchiladas, and a literal bowl of fat, instead of a bowl of Charro style beans. Honest to God there were maybe 10 beans in the entire bowl, and the rest just thick chunks of fat. See photo (if you dare). Would not recommend.

Yelp
I've been to a LOT of Mexican restaurants and all of them have been pretty Americanized, but not this one. Truly the first time I've been able to have AUTHENTIC Mexican food. Service was great, ambience really screamed MEXICAN. I will definitely go here again when I'm in hot springs. It's literally a Mexican shop with a restaurant in the back.

Chaz E.

Yelp
I got the opportunity to try this place in Hot Springs today- I thought it would be good because it was a hole in the wall. It was not- driest and hardest meat I've eaten. The beef mixture tasted like actual sh*t. I explained that I couldn't eat my food and was offered a half off on the food only to get it refused when I went up to the register. This was by far the worst Mexican food I've had, I could have hired a crackhead to make a better meal than this low effort fart of a business. Also had to get Yelp this food was so bad. May justice pay its dues for their negligence.

Michael V.

Yelp
I order from this place at least once a week. The staff are always kind and prompt. The food is always spot on.

Rb W.

Yelp
Great food and very authentic. Small grocery store with small restaurant in the back. It's helpful if you speak Spanish
google avatar

Chris R.

Yelp
This is a credible and authentic Mexican food restaurant. Chips and salsa were plenty and they have spicier and tastier options than the house salsa. I had the specials which included Caldo de Res (Beef Soup). It tasted authentic and only had one thing missing, corn on the cob. It is in the rear of a Mexican bodega.

Katelyn V.

Yelp
Food is always amazing when I go with my boyfriend and the service is always great. The people there are very kind. Very nice and authentic restraunt. Will continue to go there.

Yelp
WOW, do NOT be discouraged about the location, appearance or that it's not directly on the strip on Hot Springs (Bathhouse Row). This is the most authentic, delicious Mexican food I've had, definitely one of my top favorite places I've eaten. Our waitress was new but she did a great job! First off let me tell you, their salsa is HANDS DOWN the best salsa I've ever had. It was a thicker tomato sauce texture with tomatoes and onions, a bit spicy but delicious. I got a whole tub to go. They also have a red and green salsa they bring in big bottles you can use on your food, the red one was a sweet spicy sauce and the green was avocado based. For dinner I had the Enchiladas with red sauce, the sauce was super sweet and delicious, my husband used the excess on his meal and he said it was the best enchilada sauce he'd ever had. It came with a little rice, I wish there was more because it was so good and some lettuce with some slices of avocado. My husband had the Tlayuda which is basically a crunchier type tortilla with carne asada and chorizo and cheesy. It was to die for good. It had a side of some veggies and it was so authentic. The kitchen is right there and you can see the two people who hand make your meal. There's a cute shop on the other side of the restaurant. Overall one of the best Mexican Food places I've ever been to and you should try if you're in the area!!

Yelp
The food was chef's kiss! With such an authentic Hispanic glow! I accidentally inhaled the first one... oops!

Yelp
This is a must go to! Fresh, Delicious, well seasoned, quick and clean. Authentic the service was family like and very very nice. It was some of the beat food Ive ever had, and just absolutely amazing! 10/10 5 Stars have to go again
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious food! Best tamales since I was last in Tucson. Don't be fooled by the exterior. Nice little store in the front of the building.
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
This place is so good. I had the tamales and they were fantastic. My husband had carnitas and they were equally great. Huge plateful of really good, authentic Mexican food accompanied by good chips and salsa. We also ordered the cheese dip and guacamole. Cheese dip was white and thin but worked as a good sauce. Guacamole was wonderful with a nice blend of flavors and spices. We will definitely go back here again!
google avatar

Estreya C.

Yelp
Great restaurant for authentic Mexican food. The staff is nice. The walls and chairs are brightly colored and there is always something on TV. There is also a store in the front! Watch your step entering through the side door.
google avatar

Susan C.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Great food and great service. It's just outside the traffic down in the historic area, perfect spot.
google avatar

Jessica P.

Yelp
We found this place as we were searching for Mexican restaurants on Yelp and we are so glad we did. The food was delicious, homemade tortillas and very generous guacamole serving. We went with fajitas and asked for mix, expecting the usual beef and chicken. We were pleasantly surprised when it came out to see some shrimp too! The only downside is be prepared for super spicy salsa. Great taste but SPICY
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
Located at the back of a small supermarket, this lovely restaurant is a truly great find. The staff are kind, and the food is amazing. The mole enchiladas have a strong cacao flavor, so be aware of that - it's good, just intense. The grilled cactus is amazing too, and super affordable as a side. Also, the salsa in the glass jar brought to your table is out of this world. Overall, really nice! Absolutely recommended.

Angela D.

Yelp
This place is amazing! You HAVE to get the churros. They are hot, fresh, and filled with Carmel! Tacos are amazing and so is the pop. Salsa is great and so are the chips. Fast and friendly service. We will be back!!!!
google avatar

Sabrina W.

Yelp
10 stars! This is, hands down, the best Mexican food I've ever eaten! Their salsa was amazing! They have 3 different salsas and each was so incredibly good. My husband got the mixed fajitas, it was so much food he couldn't eat it, and he's a big eater. Not only was it a generous serving, the flavors were delicious! I got the Alambras, and while it wasn't as delicious as my husband's, it was still so good! It was piled high with so much deliciousness, that it didn't even look like I had eaten any. I had leftovers for lunch today and I'll eat the rest tomorrow. The cheese dip was good, guac was yum. We took an order of Tres Leches and Flan with us. The flan was the best I've ever had. Tres Leches was good but I like mine more moist. Next time we are in town, this will be our first stop! Y'all need to stop reading reviews and hit this place up ASAP!

Kathleen M.

Yelp
I read the reviews and decided to walk 1 mile from downtown. I ordered the mix fajitas. It was little on the dry side, bur still delicious! I put the green sauce on it( very hot). I had enough to take some for later. The service was impeccable! I do want to address the salsa, please improve. I had to put green sauce in to make it worthy of putting a chip in. I know you can do better!

Yelp
I just wish there were more than 5 stars to award them. I was immediately seated by a friendly server who quickly brought me a basket of warm tortilla chips to my table along with three different kinds of salsa. The salsa verde was the hottest and also my favorite. The carnitas tacos I ordered were very meaty delicious and authentic as were the rice and beans that accompanied them. To wash it all down I ordered a Coke and to my delight it came in a ice cold 16 oz glass bottle from Mexico which means it was made with real sugar and not corn syrup. The restaurant is located in the back of a small Latino specialty store, which makes it all that much more authentic. Seriously folks I'm a displaced Californian from San Diego who has spent a lot of time on the Baja Peninsula and now lives in Hot Springs Arkansas, the two visits I've made to La Bodeguita made me feel like I was back home for a while. It's that good it's that authentic. DO NOT waste your time or money at Diablo's Tacos & Mezcal unless you like bland overpriced gray meat tacos. Or maybe just go to Diablo's for the mezcal work up an appetite and then head over to La Bodeguita for an epic meal.
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
Staff super friendly and we were seated quickly. The verde enchiladas were wonderful and their guac was exactly what I wanted!! The gorditas were also a big hit! Definitely a must try.
google avatar

Cary N.

Yelp
I traveled the world looking for the perfect Chile Rellenos, today I found one here. Also had a shrimp cocktail, made the way you're supposed to. Great Job
google avatar

V. M.

Yelp
Without exaggeration, this is the best Mexican food I've ever had. Don't be discouraged by the grocery/restaurant combo. We ordered out so I can't speak to the experience of sitting down to eat there.

Teresa M.

Yelp
Stumbled into this place looking for a Mexican restaurant, Got fish, shrimp and steak tacos with quezon. They were all excellent! Bathrooms and store clean, you could see in kitchen, wait tress quick and efficient. Very good
google avatar

Gregory W.

Yelp
Mexican grocery store and restaurant. Everyone was super nice. The food was really good. Worth trying out.
google avatar

E G.

Yelp
Amazing find on 100% authentic Mexican food. I'm mexican and I can tell you all the food we tried tasted just like back home!
google avatar

Debra B.

Yelp
Best Mexican food I've eaten in a loooong time! This place is a true gem. I could eat their red sauce with a spoon (and did!). Tacos are bomb. Tortillas are bomb. Chile rellenos are bomb. This place is authentic, reasonably priced, clean and delicious.
google avatar

Clark C.

Yelp
This place gives a very authentic feel but the best thing about it would be the chips and salsa/hot sauce options. The fajitas were good but not great. It is at the back of the grocery store so that was a little confusing but the staff was very friendly.
google avatar

Lenora A.

Yelp
I will be back. I want to try everything on their menu. Very fresh and tasty, I didn't know what I was missing from other places.

Kate W.

Yelp
great people. amazing food. fantastic taste. a very home-like kind of restaurant/store. absolutely perfect place.
google avatar

Dany M.

Yelp
Ms Mary and Norma are always a good time! They're very outgoing! This place is authentic Mexican food. Have your Spanish book open because coming here is like visiting a little bodega in Mexico. The have a store section as well with lots of candy and fresh veggies.
google avatar

Charles D.

Yelp
Love this place for real Mexican food!! The specials are the best to get. And do not forget to ask for the spicy sauces that could come with the salsa and chips.

joy o.

Yelp
terrible!! on top of spending $100 for 3 people and a child and nothing tasting up to par, they even charged us for the chips & salsa they brought to our table!!! very displeased!

Sergio D.

Yelp
I came here for the good reviews just to get seated and get my order taken to be waiting for at least 45 minutes , just to ask about how much longer it would take ... our waiter then said they hadn't started on our order just yet and that it was going to be a little longer because they had phone orders to complete first!!! I wish we could have been told that before we had sat down ! Not very professional on letting their customers know on the waiting time .
google avatar

Lydia V.

Yelp
So yummy! We ordered the steak and chicken fajitas, veggie torta, and chips and salsa to-go. These portions could feed 6-7 people! The veggie torta was the best I've ever had. Tons of very flavorful veggies, avocado, mayo, and cheese on chewy bread.
google avatar

Leo R.

Yelp
Definitely a thumbs up. The staff is helpful and friendly,a nice layed back atmosphere. The food is excellent. I had a shrimp cocktail and tripa tacos. Both were great. Good prices, good staff and excellent food. Oh and it's in a good location. Worth checking out.
google avatar

Joshua T.

Yelp
Oh yes, this place is excellent. This place is excellent not for the atmosphere, or the fancy service (it is the opposite of fancy, but good service nonetheless), but because this store-plus-restaurant serves really, really good food. Get the steak fajitas for around $8 and enjoy, thank me later. The salsa they bring you with your chips is pretty standard, but the salsas they bring with the fajitas are much better for some reason...why they don't serve these with chips, I don't know. Delicious food, a great price, then swing through the store on your way out to get some Mexican Coca-Cola and candy, and great avocados. If you like Mexican food and live here without having eaten here, I feel bad for you.

Steve S.

Yelp
Wow. Great selection and freshly made. The shrimp ceviche is fantastic, the fajitas are wonderful and the salsa is flavorful. Chips and salsa is complementary. The wait staff is courteous. I've been to many many Mexican and have never been offered a refill on horchata until here. The best part is that you are helping local business and It is a great change from all the local fried foods.
google avatar

Yelp
Walking into La Bodeguita feels like a portal into a Mexican or Central American town. It is a grocery store and taqueria (in back) that is clearly for Latinos-- very authentic-- all of the other customers were Latinos, so that should give you an idea of the style of the food. The three salsas were delicious to me but very hot-- inedible to my kids. Food was very good, service no-frills but very friendly. Prices a little high I thought, for a back-of-a-tienda cafe, but for a mountain of high-quality food. You can just tell that everything they use is so fresh and top-quality. On the way out, you can pick up some groceries. If you are looking for a more Mexican-American style restaurant (Tex-Mex or California), I would recommend Picante's in the downtown area-- salsa that is very flavorful but mild enough for kids to eat, a full bar with margaritas, etc.

Yelp
Our search for good, authentic Mexican food in Hot Springs has finally uncovered an establishment we will enjoy often. My husband was adopted by a Mexican family and has dearly missed his mother's cuisine since her passing. La Boguedita was recommend by a fellow connoisseur so we were happy to try it and, goodness, were we ecstatic. The food is prepared by the Mexican family who owns it. My husband took a bite, his face lit, and he said "this takes me back to my mother's kitchen". He was SO happy, and praised the 'mom' in the kitchen. He had the grilled beef, napoles special and I had enchiladas. Both were wonderful and the Tamales were PERFECTION. So many restaurants serve substandard tamales, but you'll never be disappointed at La Boguedita. I now frequent their tienda, as well, for fantastic vanilla and a marvelous array of chili peppers and spices. The BEST in town.
google avatar

Ella K.

Yelp
This is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've been to. It is a hole in the wall place but the service, employees, and food are all amazing. If you are thinking about eating at an authentic Mexican restaurant in hot springs, this is the one I recommend.

Cody B.

Yelp
Love their food. Best tacos in town. I've been searching for some authentic tacos and I've finally found my place. Love love love. the people there are so nice and friendly.

Sarina P.

Yelp
Really great food. I had the shrimp and chicken fajitas and they were delicious. Service was quick and very friendly.

Jiamin Z.

Yelp
A great restaurant to go to if you are looking for authentic mexican food!! It is a great place, friendly staff, and overall fantastic food!!!
google avatar

Josue B.

Yelp
Great place to eat for Mexican food we were looking for a place to eat they have a grocery inside with all kinds of products that I had growing up and pan Dulce the people working there are so warming we are definitely going back because it is a one stop for us we can eat and relax and then but since groceries

A H.

Yelp
This is by far the best Mexican restaurant we have ever eaten at! The salsas are pretty spicy, especially the green one but they were still good. Our party had the chicken quesadillas, chicken tamale, pork tamales & stuffed cheese pepper. All of the meals were excellent!! Freshly made and you can tell! Wish we didn't live in another state or we would be back here ALL the time!! We're only going to be in Hot Springs three more days but we may have to come back before we leave!

Melissa W.

Yelp
My husband and I were looking for some good, healthy food as we were traveling and getting tired of typical "restaurant food". We ate at La Bodeguita and found the restaurant (in back of the grocery) clean, the staff friendly, the service excellent and the food very fresh and delicious. We are vegetarian, but there were plenty of alternatives. We had cheese enchiladas in mole and vegetarian huaraches - both delicious. The tres leches cake was a perfect end to our meal. We heartily recommend this restaurant and feel it's a great value for fresh, well-prepared, plentiful food.
