"Inarguably one of the best places to dance in Paris, this aptly named joint (the Thrill Box, en anglais)—tucked away in an alley in the corner of the Marais—offers tango classes until 1 a.m., at which point it morphs into an all-out gay disco."

Do NOT go here if you are a woman - this place is misogynistic, no matter if you are actually lesbian. They rejected at least 2 lesbian couples in the 15 mins we were in the queue (and 100% of the women). The bouncer said the two lesbian couples didn’t look lesbian because they had long nails (yes, that actually happened in 2025). But the real reason, because we heard the bouncer say this verbatim a few times while we were stood nearby waiting for friends, was that there was “too many women”. Don’t advertise it as LGBTQ+ , because it obviously isn’t if you limit the amount of women no matter their orientation. I’ve been to chez Mylène a number of times with a mixed gay+lesbian+straight group and had a great time, so would recommend going there instead.

Really disappointing night at Tango Paris. Despite the name, there’s nothing “tango” about it — just a club with one of the worst playlists I’ve heard in Paris. The music was all over the place, bad transitions, no rhythm, nothing that made you want to stay on the floor. The vibe felt flat and disconnected, with zero energy compared to other Parisian nightlife spots. I left early because the atmosphere just wasn’t there. With so many great clubs in the city, this one is absolutely not worth it.

I went to the place with a group of friends. The music was great, ideal for dancing. I particular enjoyed how laid back and non pretentious this club was. You can easily have a drink and chat or dance to your heart’s delight. Having had such a pleasant experience, I was shocked to see that this place has several negative reviews.

My friend and I went there dancing. We had a very good time. The place is very casual and relaxed. The dj was good, but the choice of songs and the transition between each of them was a bit odd sometimes, breaking the dancing flow. But overall, I recommend this place and would definitely go back.

Great atmosphere. Lots of character and charm, i can tell it’s a beloved place. Great DJ and music all night. Cute.

I have been a frequent client since 2016, and have enjoyed the venue for its great music and ambiance. However, recently the new bouncers have been nothing short of rude and absolutely intransigent at the door. Judgmental and harshly discriminatory to my female colleagues. It’s quite a shame that since the pandemic the quality of the place has gone significantly worse.

Told we were not gay on the door, told to admit we were straight.. ( feminine lesbian couple) and then once let in, paid 20 euro to get in, owner kicked us out. Very rude and a horrible place to waste your money. Never had this issue in London.
