La Bombi

This is a nice seafood place if you like fish they cook fish to perfection not overcooked, the service is super I think the owner or manager he helps us choose our food and was spot on.

We entered La Bombi completely by chance and it was the best decision of our Santander stay ! The bar tender immediately welcomed us although it was already busy. He made sure we had a table (as the restaurant only opens at 21h, everyone waits at the bar) The food was outstanding: very nice clams to start, then we chose the solomillo (beef). It was absolutely out of this world. I took the one with salt, my husband with the anjovis sauce - we recommend both. You do need to like red meat rare/max medium rare. Excellent wine list and friendly service by the staff and restaurant manager. We will definitely come back !

One of the most famous restaurants in Santander. Something was off this night. Ordered medium rare rib eye steak - had a beautiful cut - ordered medium rare arrived well done. Asked for salt at least 3 times . Got amazing tomatoes and olive oil with salt - but no salt as requested. Girlfriend ordered oysters for appetizer they were average . Ordered crab from the tank , not sure if the same was what was served. In any case - famous famous - but not going back .

Superb! We walked in no reservation and they gladly gave us a table. Their suggestions for ordering were amazing, fresh quality, kind service, best squid and Russian Salad!!! A MUST in Santander. We thank them for the experience

Marvelous and very welcoming The bar tender seated us with a glass of wine. We went on a Monday with no reservation. After 20 minutes they seated us at a very nice table. The wine list is very good. We loved our meal, fabulous tuna tartare and colcochas and a baked fish. The service was very fine. The desserts were awful but we had a lovely sherry.

Professional and friendly service, fresh fish, on the pricier side but I think it was worth the trip if you're looking for something on the fancier side in Santander. The wait staff don't speak English very well, but I was able to get by with the Spanish I learned in high school and a booklet with translations that the restaurant provided. We ordered seafood soup for the table and a plate of sea bass per person – delicious! Soup was a little on the saltier side and the sea bass was very fresh but mine was slightly undercooked although my friend's was cooked well.

Service is fantastic and food was perfect, and the wine was excellent. Better that our host quickly realized we are not British, so adjusted expectations accordingly. Not the cheaper option.

Amazing experience involving food, atmosphere, and personal attention by the owners! Best culinary experience on our Basque Country visit! Highly recommended.

Very friendly reception with an excellent presentation of the fish We had some octopus as start and a grilled fish as main course The wine was a Rioja Monte Real very good and with honest price I do recommend When there, ask for Cesar to introduce the menu

Best dinner I've had in all of Spain. Excellent preparations, freshest seafood, delicious meats, gorgeous salads. Very happy!
