The best specialty and international grocery stores in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"La Taqueria at La Bonita is worth a visit for capirotada, tacos enchilados de camarón, and chile relleno, while customers can pick up masa at the tortilleria; pan dulce, flan, tres leches, and conchas in the panaderia; or paleta de res, pierna de puerco, and pechuga de pollo in the carniceria. Seven locations in Las Vegas and Henderson." - Susan Stapleton

Since I don't feel welcome when I come into this particular location to shop, I'm going to continue to shop at this store, as long as it's convenient for me, any time that I'm hungry.

Great offering on Mexican food and regular groceries for example Joritos sodas 99 cents. How to check out stands. Nowadays most places charge you almost $3 for a soda to check out Stan d.

I usually go to the La Bonita on Desert Inn and Eastern. This store was remodeled so it still looks new. It always feels clean. It is a Mexican, Hispanic, supermarket, so it has productes which appeal to that culture. It has groceries, a bakery, a deli, a butcher/fresh meat counter, fresh fruit and vegitables, and a hot food counter with a seating area, and a liquer counter. I like these stores because I find myself trying new food which I was not raised eating. I really like thebutcher counter, the fresh fruit and veggies, especially the sale items, which are very affordable, if not simply dirt cheap! I do not speak much spanish and some of the workers do not speak much english. It is a fun challange for me to order from the deli, the butcher, and the hot food counter. We always make it work with a lot of friendly hand gestures, smiling, and laughing at times. I guess that is part of the reason I go back.

Very bad customer service, the cashier mixed my items with the customer behind me and charged me then left out a bag mixed with my items and the other persons due to the mix up. I lost multiple items and was charged for stuff that wasn’t mine. After noticing and notifying staff, they refused to believe me and showed me choppy video footage that didn’t even confirm what happened and refused to fully assist essentially claiming I was lying. They partially helped but would not fully help and made me buy again the same items I had already paid for originally. Very unprofessional all around from the cashiers to supervisors. Already reported to my bank and they will help because La Bonita failed to properly rectify their errors. Beware, if you ever have any issues you won’t get much help at all…

Sunday night at 8.30 I was stopped entering the store and told him not allowed to shop here. Why ?? I'm white is that the reason I ask?? Because I have a backpack?? I leave at the door anyway. I'm furious for being discrimated against by the security guard and who appears to be am assistantanager of some sorts. However. I do not steal never have But I am a Christian so I cannot treat badly in return I can tell the truth about a poorly treated was to be customer. I understand the right to refuse service however should there not be a reason ?? Mistaken identity possibly.. thank you for reading. Hopefully enough comments will get the attention of someone larger than an employee on location.

I love this place, although I did have an altercation with one of the workers (an older lady) who was managing the self-checkout she insinuated that I was stealing an item that didn't even pay keep in mind I paid she even took my receipt and said it wasn't on the receipt and it was and the cashier that did my transaction backed me up and told her that he did scan it and short story she got mad and confronted me that I didn't have to be mad that she was simply asking me a question, that was even a question but overall I love the place good prices good quality items

Rather to go there than Seafood City. Even though I am a Filipina. Prices are better her and produce is better quality.

Yelp
This La Bonita location is pretty small and has a more limited selection compared to others. Parking is a bit strange, but it's convenient if you just need essentials like meat and veggies. They always have good specials, which is a plus. The chicken quality is hit or miss, but the produce is consistently fresh and affordable. Great spot for a quick grocery run!! Also quite a few vendors in the parking lot selling items (I haven't tried anything yet)
