My wife and I came for date night and had a great time. Great wine, cheese board and service was great!

Google
I never write these but I feel like this place deserves a massive shout out as the best wine bar in Denver. I can take anybody here and they have a great time. Their wines are excellent and they never let any food on the menu that isn't perfect. This place is a little slice of Paris in the American west.

Devin Brown

Google
Big shoutout to Alexis, his wife, and their lovely family. This wine bar is a true labor of love and a standout gem in Denver’s wine scene. You can feel their passion in every detail, from the warm welcome to the thoughtful way they run things. They graciously hosted us to a guided pairing for my wife’s 30th—featuring some of the most delicious bites and sips we’ve ever had.

It was our first time visiting Denver and we had an EXCELLENT time at La Bouche. My family and I were having quick bite for my dad’s birthday and we had the pleasure to meet the owners, Alexis and Alexandra! They were so welcoming and attentive, told us personally stories and took pictures with us. Thank you for all the goodies we were blessed with during our visit! 10/10!!!

Google
La Bouche is so awesome. Great wine selection, awesome jalapeño pretzel bites and lattes. The best was the baked Camembert cheese with bread. OMG it was so good. I got so excited I forgot to take a pic. So sorry :’( Great atmosphere and the owners are very nice and actually French! Some other French places don’t have French owners.

Google
My two experiences here have both been excellent. The first time, I came for late-night food and drinks. The options are high-quality french cuisine and a large selection of wine. The camembert cheese was my favourite. My next visit was for a Sunday brunch. The mimosa carafe is offered in different flavors. This is one of the few restaurants in Denver that offers croque madame (even late at night) which was delicious. I also enjoyed the ouef coquette and quiche loraine. They offer indoor seating, one cute lounge seating area, outdoor seating with umbrellas, window stool seats, and bar seatings.

Google
First time coming here and it was superb! The wine selection was incredible and also was the food selection. I ended up ordered to fill glasses of one of the wines in my flight. I will be back for sure since it’s walking distance of where I am staying at. Also the waitress was incredible and gave me space since I was in the phone with my wife and In laws FaceTiming.

Google
Cutest little wine bar in Denver. And the only authentic French wine bar. The two owners are fantastic. I was able to chat with them a bit and they made me fall in love with this place. Their love for French wine really shows in their business. Plus they have fun events like live jazz or burlesque nights. Great for a date night or just a solo journey to just sip wine and read or journal.

Yelp
La Bouche is a cozy little wine bar and small owned business. There's a trendy little atmosphere and a small patio outside. They do have a happy hour with a small discount on tap wines (their HH has changed over time, so it's not the same as it was if it's been a while since patronizing there). Food is also served, small snacks and some sandwiches. I didn't eat the last time I was here, but what others ordered looked tasty! This is across the street & kitty corner from the smaller Stoney's sports bar on 17th. There are some other little shops in the block/area if you are there during those shop hours.

Yelp
Dined with my wife on an early Saturday evening. We started with the cheese board with an option of three cheeses. The server was amenable to us adding a fourth cheese to the board. We also had the nuts and olives, which were nicely complemented by the Rhone wine. The board had fresh and dried fruit and more nuts. The Comte cheese was fabulous! Then we shared an order of Croque Madame which was simply delicious and flavorful. We also got both chips and a salad with the meal. For dessert, we had the crème brûlée, which was on the small side, but fabulous. Abundant flecks of vanilla bean peppered the dish. The ambiance is nice and it's easy to hold a conversation in the place. We will be back.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night around 8pm and got a table easily! The interior is small, but very chic and stylish! I love the decor and the vibe. The outdoor patio would also be lovely on a summer day. My friend and I each got a flight of wine, they were alright overall, nothing to write home about. The meat and cheese board 1x1 was great. There was a great selection of meats and cheeses to choose from, and the staff helped guide us. There was a nice assortment of fruits, nuts, olives, pickles, and other bites that came with the cheese board too. The service was quite slow considering that there were only two other groups in the entire establishment.

Yelp
Came here around happy hour on a Friday. Busy, but not too packed. We were able to snag seats at the bar easily. I didn't get the bar tenders name, but she was super bubbly and helpful. I decided on the French white wine flight. So good, and reasonably priced! Super close to my apartment and will definitely be back :) cute little bar, good lighting, loved the art/decor

Yelp
We went here for a birthday celebration with a group of 7 women. The service was excellent. Cute decor that makes you feel you are on a little escape to Paris.. Their menu has lots of wine and cocktail options at reasonable prices. French 75 is a great cocktail as is the Kir Royal.

Elaina W.

Yelp
My family absolutely loves this place-- when you come in (especially on a weeknight), you'll be treated to the most exceptional service and great drinks. We love the Kir Royal and Hugo Spritz; this is also the only American wine bar that I've found which regularly stocks Comté cheese!
google avatar

Sehjal A.

Yelp
Loved the ambiance here! The seating was super comfortable and they had a lot of 2 person tables. The staff was super nice and helped us pick which wine to get. The chenin off the Wine on Tap menu was delicious and was 25% off during happy hour! Would definitely recommend coming here.

Yelp
I enjoyed two glasses of wine at La Bouche with a friend on a Tuesday evening! There was plenty of seating 7/8pm despite the small interior. The wine selection was great and I would come back! There is street parking nearby where you can usually find a spot. The service was good but slower as there was only one bartender that evening.

Yelp
Lovely wine bar. Knowledgeable & helpful staff. Fabulous wine flights. I had the French white flight. Lovely!

Yelp
Great little french wine bar in the Uptown neighborhood! It's very quaint with a nice bar, some small tables and a small outdoor patio. We had some specialty cocktails and they were very good (especially the Kir Royale and French 75). It was early in the afternoon and there were only two other parties in the establishment. There was only one bartender, but she was welcoming and quick to serve us. Delightful and comfortable. I look forward to going back for happy hour and trying some of their flights and charcuterie.

Yelp
Terrific wine selection, good food, and friendly staff. A great place for a quiet glass of wine or a conversation over a bottle.

Yelp
This is a neighborhood gem and a relaxing place to wrap up a weekend. First and foremost the staff was so welcoming including the owner who stopped by our table several times to check in on us. The food is light fare but well executed. I got the baked egg with spinach and it came with a side of bread from reunion. The hubs and our friend got croque monsieurs. We also shared a plate of cheese and charcuterie. I appreciated that you could choose which meats and cheeses you wanted to sample. Wash it all down with a French 75 for me, very good coffee for the hubs and a Bloody Mary for our friend and it was a delightful brunch. We finished with financiers - one almond and one peanut with white chocolate/caramel. The almond is the traditional flavor and definitely the better of the two.

Yelp
What a delightful experience--especially for my mouth! La Bouche is a neighborhood wine bar that feels altogether like being in a different time and place. Small and thoughtfully decorated, the open concept layout with bistro, bar, and lounge seating allows for a fully sensory experience. And after the owners stopped by and spoke in French to my husband, I really felt like we'd been whisked away to Paris. The authenticity didn't stop there. We opened a beautiful Burgandy my French companion was excited about. The menu also offered by-the-glass and flight options; I noticed many at the bar top were pouring bubbles, which told me there was variety of wines for any occasion really. We started with a mixed cheese and meat board. What made this stand out to me vs other places was the accoutrements of fresh and dried fruit, cashews, and cornichon. The cheeses and meats were exquisite too, but we would have loved a pate vs two salamis. A note for next time. Also, the bread was outstanding. Then we moved on to the salad Parisian. This was unexpectedly my favorite thing we ate. And very authentic! The perfect execution of greens, eggs, bacon, pomegranate, crouton, and homemade balsamic dressing. Un vrai délice. Plus, more bread. We finished our dining experience with an almond financier and chocolate-dipped congolais. We sipped on Pastis (merci beaucoup, Alexi et Alexandra) and snacked on cute, mouth-shaped gummy candies just before we left. A very nice and memorable touch. Our server, Jessica, was knowledgeable and welcoming--and just the right amount of attentive. Between the people, service, food, wine, and ambience, this is a five-star spot to which I can't wait to return!

Yelp
Bar was cute. Ambience was kinda dead. We did go on a Tuesday night at 5pm but literally no one else came between 5-7pm. They have happy hour pricing on certain wine glasses. Thank goodness we ordered hot food because by the end we saw a small mouse running around the restaurant. Made me feel a bit sick to be honest. Our waitress was okay. We were the only party in the entire bar and when i came in I had a few minutes to look over the menu and still had to go up to order my drink. After we saw the mouse and screamed they didn't go over to apologize or anything like that. I know it's not your fault that the mouse was there running in circles but it doesn't make me feel good choosing to eat at your restaurant either. Sorry but I don't think I would go back.

Yelp
Great wine bar located in the heart of Uptown. Great selection of wines and they have a friendly staff that can recommend the best wine for your occasion.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was not the best, slow service, with waiters ignoring you whenever you try to call them over. I loved the ambiance and the drink menu seemed good. Soup took half an hour to come out and it was barely warm, and the croque took another hour. Overall I wouldn't come back unless it was for a quick drink. There is better French food within any 10 minute direction.

Honest M.

Yelp
Just nothing very good about this place - food seems to be prepackaged - decor isn't too comfortable - owners are French so you expect something food and wine wise but nah. Some good wines but not a great selection- Ok dor a glass of wine if in the area

Yelp
Skip this one. There's no redeeming aspects of this place. The atmosphere is whatever the opposite of cozy is; it's loud, echoing, and they seat you so so so close to neighboring tables, you can't help but overhear everything everyone is saying. The drinks are overpriced and unfairly portioned; you get more mimosa by ordering three individual glasses than one carafe (which was more expensive and only had 2.5 drinks in it)! Well surely the food is good, right? Well, somehow they figured out how to overcook egg yolks while undercooking the whites on the croque madame. My sandwich had one thin slice of ham on the inside and the bread was soggy. They absolutely nailed how to ruin pain au chocolate: it's bready, not at all flakey, and has about one m&m's-worth of chocolate inside. French food can be a challenge to perfect, but this was sheer tragedy. Service was acceptable, but for the prices here, I was hoping for a little more professional waiting service. The excruciatingly small table was nearly constantly overcrowded with empty cups, bottles, and dishes. The waitress insisted on keeping her toast tab strapped to her hand so she never really had enough free hands to clear things away in a timely manner. Icing on this sad cake? Paper napkins. The bill was $90 for 2.5 mimosas, one cappuccino, one latte, 2 very small and damp croque madame sandwiches, and one melancholy pain au chocolate. Avoid the place like the plague.

Pamela M.

Yelp
Alexi is very friendly and helpful when choosing a wine. The cheeses and bread we ate were delicious and the provence salad was a definite redo. We will definitely return. We were seeing a show at the Ogden and it was an excellent choice before the show, very close to the venue and very charming

Yelp
La Bouche is a darling French/American wine bar in uptown. The indoor space is stylishly decorated with an inviting bar. The ample outdoor space is comfortable and perfect for people watching! They have happy hour daily from 4-6 with specials on meat and cheese as well as wines on tap. The service was attentive and kind even in a warm and busy Friday. The prices here are fair. The espresso martini was cold and delicious, the rosé was mine really and fruity; perfection. The cheese and meat with accoutrements were a really welcome snack and the bread is really among French standards, thankfully! They also have brunch on weekends which we will be back to try! This is a lovely neighborhood wine bar, and it seems the secret is out!

Abbie T.

Yelp
Really great atmosphere with a cool French wine list. We were let down by the slow service and disappointing food.

Amy G.

Yelp
Great place!! Started off with a pretty wonderful latte, followed by croque-madame then the red flight. My dear friend got the quiche and rosé flight, also wonderful! Looking forward to coming back here again! Thanks Alex and Gina for the lovely morning!

Yelp
La Bouche feels like walking into a real French bistro. The plates and charcuterie boards as well as the extensive wine list and craft cocktails make this establishment a perfect date night or gals night spot. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
Go to La Bouche today! La Bouche is magical! Great wine, cocktails and champagne selection. Fantastic staff! I can't wait to go back and try their brunch!

Yelp
Not at all going to be returning to this place... way too bright first off, uncomfortable seating. I get say it French add $20. To the bill automatically... what a bummer great reviews were they done by your staff?! And lol your staff one bartender for the whole restaurant and he had to serve too. I think the owner didn't lift a finger to help.. what is wrong with people that don't help in a restaurant.. you see your staff failing and don't even step in to offer help.
google avatar

Taran G.

Yelp
An amazing spot with an owner who cares about your experience. I love it. The wine selection is worthy of your palate.

Midwest M.

Yelp
I was so excited for this establishment to open because I live nearby in the neighborhood, and it very much lived up to the daydreams I have concocted over the last few months. The food was delightful and filling, and the wine flight was an incredible way to sample three of their recommended French reds. The ambiance and the staff is what really put this place over the top for me. The patio is comfortable and cute, and they even have blankets for you to borrow if you get chilly! The inside area is cozy and would be perfect for a get together for friends, or a romantic date night. The owners were there working when I visited, and they were incredibly kind and kept checking on my large and rowdy group on the patio. I cannot wait to go back and try more of their cocktails as well as more of their wine! I am so pleased to welcome La Bouche to the neighborhood, and I encourage you all to visit tout de suite!

Nicolette V.

Yelp
The owners are always great to us and the staff is super accommodating! Love the selection of wines. Great date spot or a chill night with friends. Thanks Alex for always making us feel right at home!

Yelp
I love to go to La Bouche with my friends. The food is delicious and the wines are amazing! Highly recommended!

Patrick Y.

Yelp
First and foremost we had a good experience doing wine flights and talking to the staff. The location is great and everyone is friendly and the wine recommendations were great. I did want to respond to Alex M though as "one of the nine" people in the bar at the time... his whole experience there was maybe 20 or 30 seconds and was the most Karen experience I've ever witnessed In person. They showed up when a few tables had just left so the unreserved tables needed to be bussed which is why they needed to wait a second. I do assume he knows how reservations work though, those parties showed up not long after. There were 3 spots at the bar and we were just saying we needed the one by us and they could sit at the corner but by the time we were done saying that he had given the thumbs down and walked out. The best part was like 3 minutes later when he came back to take a photo because he felt so wronged by the experience but must not have been able to figure out how to post on his review.

Yelp
Warm, welcoming wine bar with a baked Brie that was to die for (though an off menu item)! Happy hour had a nice red tap wine that we enjoyed!

Julie P.

Yelp
This place has gone down hill. We ordered the cheese and meat plate. Nothing special about it. Seemed like we could get the cheese and meats at king soopers. The pate which is very French we were told they were not carrying it any more. Service was great from the girl that worked there but the guy with the blue hair is rude and has an attitude. Asked him to turn down the music inside because it was so loud we couldn't even talk and he made a face at me. He ignored our table the entire night. Not going back!
google avatar

Yelp
I was so excited to try this place. I'm always looking for wine bars and still trying to find good place here. After a long, stressful week, my partner and I walked in and were seated immediately. We were given water and the waiter asked if we were ready. Needing time to explore the menu, we asked for a few minutes. We waited about ten minutes, finding the perfect bottle to share and ready to spend $100 at this nice looking establishment. Another ten minutes went by and none of the staff acknowledged us or made eye contact. Another ten minutes went by...until THIRTY minutes had passed. The waitress walking around refused to make eye contact with us and was helping people at the bar and at the table next to us. We found our server sitting outside at a table with some customers chatting it up while we waited with no one acknowledging us. Thirty minutes was long enough and we got up and left, insulted and disgusted. Absolutely abysmal, rude, and inexcusable service. Don't waste your time with this place. We went next door to The Dew Drop Inn and had wonderful drinks and service.

Yelp
Adorable little wine bar, with patio. Only there for HH, wine on tap were ok, didn't have chance to check out menu. Our charcuterie board was sparse, not very impressive, but their French bread was delicious.
google avatar

Melisa H.

Yelp
This gorgeous gem will be our "go to" for fabulous food and wine. we had a gift certificate and we're not sure what to expect. warm staff, beautiful food, and wonderful wine in a lovely, beautiful restaurant. we had brunch, croquet madame and a quiche Lorraine, paired with flights of wine. the quiche was light and perfect, the madame a dreamy balance of flavor. salad dressing was just right, the kind you can never do right at home. they have a pastry chef, and the strawberry tart was simply amazing. run don't walk. felt very comfortable, fun and beautiful all at once. Staff and owners were so cool and fun to talk to!
google avatar

Yelp
Won't be going back. We were looking for a good wine bar to start our date night and came across this place as highly rated, so we made reservations for the crazy hour of 7:00PM...we get there and promptly got sat down, there was no need for reservations as there were literally only two other tables taken, so they weren't busy at all. The live DJ playing techno music was incredibly loud and you couldn't have a conversation without elevating your voice quite a bit. When we were seated we got glasses of water and then they just disappeared. We waited for anyone to return to the bar or even to just walk by and LITERALLY NO ONE came. We waited five minutes, then ten minutes, and then fifteen minutes!! No one came. I got so irritated that I told my girlfriend we will just find somewhere else to start our night, so we did. We ended up going to Tavernetta and Sunday Vinyl, both great choices over this place, plenty of wine selections, good food, and they actually provide service.

Mackenzie S.

Yelp
Cute spot with nice decor and friendly staff. The wine was good and the the happy hour price was reasonable. The charcuterie board was a little small for the price - I would go back!

Kate G.

Yelp
I love this cute wine bar! The environment is so cozy and the vibes are immaculate. Having been to Paris France myself I felt like I was teleporting from Denver to Paris when I walked inside. The tables arranged in the same cozy way you'd find them to be in France. The food and drinks follow the same theme and remain authentic to the culture. I found the staff and owners to be delightful and would absolutely recommend this wine bar time and time again. Additionally, I was there recently and was told hours would be extending for the warmer months and the patio is already open!
google avatar

Amber C.

Yelp
I went on a Thursday night and this placed was PACKED. The music was insanely loud and with everyone trying to yell over the music it was kind of uncomfortable. The food was delicious and the service was really great. Super cute spot. But very busy.

Hannah L.

Yelp
The vibes are very cute! Definitely recommend for a cute spot. However, the service is extremely slow - it took 30 minutes to get noticed and I waited 15 minutes for my tab while the server was AT my table trying to figure out what we had to drink while I was repeatedly telling her - and also extremely chaotic. Not worth the prices ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Kate W.

Yelp
Service has declined over the past few months. The staff used to be friendly ,knowledge and efficient but now they don't seem to know what they're doing or care. I was a big fan of this local wine bar, but, sadly, I will not be coming back. Owners, please hire people who care about their job.

Melissa C.

Yelp
I loved the food, ambiance and all the special touches. It was a little chilly out so our lovely server brought out fuzzy blankets. My pup was especially grateful because we got to hang out longer. Great spot all around!
google avatar

Savanna D.

Yelp
Perfect for a romantic happy hour! We enjoyed the overall atmosphere, variety of wines, and warm wait staff. A great deal on pours during happy hour and delightful set of snacks and bites to amuse your bouche! I recommend a wine flight if you are coming in for the first time to get just a little taste of everything. We will be back!

Stacey S.

Yelp
La Bouche has a really great happy hour! We enjoyed our wine from tap and we got a delicious appetizer of warmed cheese with fig spread and French bread.

Alex M.

Yelp
First the good- the location is lovely, and the patio is west facing. The menu looked good and the wine selection, while not limitless, was great- hence us stopping by. The bad- relatively empty bar/bistro with ~9 people there- but they didn't want to seat us because of "reservations". We waited, and another server offered to seat us, but was overruled by #1- we were again told that we would have to wait longer. Again - empty bar.
google avatar

Judy R.

Yelp
We were really excited to discover this wine bar. We had recently returned from a trip to Paris so we really enjoyed the wine and the delicious ham and cheese. Denver is fortunate to have such an authentic Parisian wine bar. The ambiance is cute and the owner and wait staff were wonderful. We will be back.

Ben N.

Yelp
I went here with a group of friends a day or two after it opened. It ran fairly smoothly. The staff and owners were very nice. I liked that there was a range in price options. I look forward to going back.

Kitty L.

Yelp
I have never walked out on a restaurant. Until today. My husband and I had 11:00 reservations here for Mothers Day. I truly understand how busy a place can be on this day. But they weren't busy. We got seated before our reservation and ordered coffee and a croissant. It took about 15 minutes. Ok. At 11:10 we ordered quiche and an egg dish. At 12:10 we left after leaving money on the table. Wait staff did not seem to care. I understand short staffed but there were plenty of servers. The table next to us was also waiting over an hour and then received a partial order. This restaurant was not busy there were several empty tables. All in all a bad experience. Would never come back.

Sofia L.

Yelp
Hopping place however was not impressed with the wine list, could have more unique and higher end options, but the biggest disappointment was the pour was about 3.5-4oz, which I know was a mistake but it's embarrassing to point that out to someone and the manager (who brought it over) should have noticed. The server was new but she was awesome, really killing it with how busy it was. Didn't try food but it's French-style, lots of bread with a little meat and cheese, not my style but others seemed to be super into it so chalk it up to personal preference.
