Where to Find the Best Breakfast Sandwiches in Miami | Eater Miami

"La Boulangerie serves an array of French-style gourmet sandwiches and creative toasts to start the day right. Ham cachitos (small bread stuffed with ham), caprese avocado toast, and a croque monsieur with Black Forest ham and melted brie are some of the highlights, perfect to pair with a cup of cafe au lait or orange juice. For a perfect end of meal, order an apple or almond and chocolate croissant." - Juliana Accioly

This place is amazing!! The food and the service are top notch! I had the Brie and almond sandwich and my husband had the French dip and both were delicious. Arianna was our waitress and she was fantastic and provided great recommendations. We finished off with the tiramisu and it did not disappoint. There are so many options it’s hard to make a choice. We will definitely make this our go to place when we are in town!

I stumbled upon this place entirely by accident, just walking by—and what a discovery it was! The sheer number of people caught my eye, and as soon as I stepped inside, I was absolutely stunned. Every table was taken, the atmosphere buzzing with life, and in front of every guest—plates filled with the most delicious-looking food. Fresh, golden baguettes stacked neatly, their aroma filling the air. The entire space had that effortless charm, that warm, sun-soaked feel of the South of France. It wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience, a little escape to Provence right in the middle of the city. An absolute gem.

We made the mistake and we sat down. It is a busy place. Eggs plates had a terrible smell. I don’t like waiters who don’t write the orders from customers because they always miss something and that’s what happened here. The only good thing was the salmon sandwich and one coffee. I substituted ham with turkey and that came extra on my check.

The Dubai chocolate croissant was amazing warm. The dragonfruit refresher was delicious & the staff was friendly. I did have to remind my waiter of a few things but will definitely be back.

The decor is so cute and the food was amazing! Our server Patricia was very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend the croissants ✨

Google
Busy but service was quick. Not a long wait to be seated nor for our food to arrive. We got the scrambled eggs with Black Forest ham and I made some accommodations. We also ordered an eggs Benedict. 1 Nutella cappuccino and a regular cappuccino. Am interested in other items on the menu, will be returning.

Google
I absolutely love this place! The coffee is good, and they have fresh orange juice which is made right in front of you! The food is great, and the atmosphere is lively with many people around. The service is excellent, and you can tell the owners put a lot of love into everything they do. They are definitely one of the best spots in the neighborhood.

Google
Best tomato soup ever! Atmosphere is nice but the place gets super crowded and loud. But decoration is cute! Great service! Thank you very much!

Yelp
This one is obviously in a more upscale area than ghetto Silver Bluff Coral Way. I ordered a ham sandwich thinking it was something else with Grey Poupon, and it was obviously not that good. But customer service was excellent! I'd definitely come back to try something else they might have because everything else looks really good on the menu.

Yelp
We came to Aventura on a quick trip, and we were looking for a place to have some good breakfast/brunch. Came across many spots around the area, but La Boulangerie Boul'Mich called my attention.... and I'm glad it did! From the Nutella coffee (not overwhelming, sweet but tasty), to the Croissants, the Croque-Madamme and the freshly squeezed OJ ... everything was delicious! To top this off, we had Cecilia as our server, and she was pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and a joy to interact with! Truly recommended... Ask for Cecilia tho ;)

Yelp
Came here for a quick breakfast. Ordered ham and cheese croissant and Perico, which is scrambled eggs with chopped Tomato, Onions & Parsley. Croissant was really good. However, the eggs...I think chef forgot to put any seasonings today. Tasted very bland.. Service was prompt and attentive. I'd go back for the service and croissant alone.

Yelp
The food was good here especially the baguette that was made fresh (you could taste it). We bought a baguette to go since it was so good. I had the croque madame sandwich, minus the béchamel sauce. My hubby had the scramble with ham. My daughter had the chocolate chip pancakes. Our entrees came with fresh OJ (the OJ was delicious) and an American coffee. The only issue I had (which is why I'm giving the 4 stars) was that they have a check station with QR code to register for seating right outside the door but then they weren't really using it so we waited outside standing for like 10 minutes until a nice patron who saw that we had no clue about the seating mentioned to just come in and grab a seat. Thankfully he did or we would've been standing waiting there for almost an hour. When I finally got a text stating that a table was ready for us, we had already been served and had finished eating! So I think if they are not using the kiosk, then they should not have it sitting there for the patrons to check in because it confuses people. Other than that, the waitresses were amazing, super nice and attentive. Awesome customer service!

Yelp
This is such a cool little spot! Staff were super friendly and very attentive. I had the pancakes which were great but massive! I only managed to make it through 1/2 of them. The fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing! It's a smaller place and seating wasn't an issue when I went at 8am on a Saturday.

Yelp
I've been meaning to check out this location for a while. Finally got the chance this morning. I was in a rush so I wasn't able to get photos. However I can give you a in depth review. They have a nice assortment of pastries, breakfast options and beverages. I got an Apple croissant and decaf coffee to go. The ladies at the counter were very friendly. And there was a young woman greeting customers as they entered. Which was welcoming. The ambiance is like a typical coffee shop. Low lighting and some people working or catching up with friends. I think my order was about $11 or so. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was on the POS system where it gives you an option to add a tip(0%,15,20%), 20% was automatically selected so I wasn't paying attention and it added the tip after I signed.

Yelp
The service is always impeccable and I'm just there for my freshly made buttery QWASAANHT which is delectable BTW! Everyone is just so sweet and inviting! Great staff definitely makes it a pleasurable experience!

Yelp
The sandwiches, particularly the Turkey and Le Club, were quite enjoyable. The service provided was outstanding and friendly. The presentation of the Tres Leches and Tiramisu desserts was top-notch, and they were truly delightful. I look forward to returning soon. Thank you!

Yelp
Well, I went back three years later to try a baguette again, and nothing changed except the price went up one. If I had already not paid and was waiting for the baguette, I would have not taken it Still would go to Publix or Winn-Dixie. Their bread is fresher. ‍

Yelp
Came here with some friends for a quick brunch. The restaurant is very cute. Perfect for smaller parties of 4 or less. The food was ok, I feel like it's a bit overhyped on social media. The nutcinno was ok, it's really just regular brewed coffee with Nutella on the rim. It wasn't too sweet. The croissant were tasty. Specially the guava and cheese, you can't go wrong with that sweet/savory combo. I will say that the ham and cheese croissant was a bit greasy. The turkey sandwich was good, but a bit overpriced for what you get. It comes with a side of lays chips. The French toast was delicious. Very fluffy and light. As for the croque madame, a bit overhyped but it was tasty nonetheless. Overall, this isn't a bad spot. The food was ok but nothing really special I'm my opinion, I would return for the pastries though. Our server (I believe her name is Martha) was great! Kudos to her, very friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
Fantastic breakfast experience on a busy Sunday. Service from start to finish was great. Coffee hot and delicious. A croissant that my son says could cause a when Harry Met Sally scene. We had the huevos rancheros, so well done and flavorful. Just a great experience, we are already planning our ride from Davie again. Thanks!

Yelp
We coming with my friend the other morning the place was full is smaller but nice! We order the prosciutto sandwiches was good and my friend the other plate! Was very good The price is a little pricey Mimosas $13 to high Prosciutto sandwich $18+ The service is very good and the place is nice and confortable

Yelp
We had an incredible first time at La Boulangerie in Aventura. This small cafe gets busy but we were able to get a table in about 20 minutes on a packed Sunday morning. We started off with Nutccino (Nutella Cappuccino) and it was absolutely heavenly. We split a Guava and Cheese Croissant next. I can honestly say whatever I thought I ate in the past that claimed it was a croissant was most certainly not. This one was delicious! For breakfast I had my usual choice of Eggs Benedict and hubby had Croque Madame "Our Style". Everything was so fresh and so wonderful. I definitely look forward to our next trip here!

Yelp
La Boulangerie Boul'Mich in Aventura has quickly become my go-to spot for delightful pastries and savory treats. Whether you're popping in for a quick to-go order or settling in for a cozy dine-in experience, this bakery never fails to impress. The array of pastries and empanadas is truly impressive, offering a delightful selection that caters to every palate. What stands out the most is the freshness of everything they serve - each bite bursts with flavor and is a testament to their commitment to quality. Whether you're craving something sweet or savory, La Boulangerie Boul'Mich has you covered. The grab-and-go option makes it incredibly convenient for those on the move, and the in-dining experience adds a touch of warmth and charm to your visit. With such a great selection and consistently fresh offerings, it's no wonder La Boulangerie Boul'Mich has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Highly recommended for anyone with a love for delicious pastries and empanadas!

Yelp
Good spot near Miami. I walked here in very high heat, and though I was sweaty and melting, I was greeted warmly. I was a bit disappointed with the location - in a strip mall - though the restaurant is cute inside. I had one of the avocado toasts - which was delicious - however, I was disappointed that the expensive entrees didn't include the OJ and coffee like the other ones. However, the food was fresh, tasty and the service staff was friendly and helpful. Lots of cheese/avocado and really good bread. Perfect breakfast. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. I'd visit again if in the area.

Yelp
Amazing Nutccino. Service was very prompt and the server was really friendly. We could use Apple Pay for the check given to us at the table which was unique and impressive. We got the almond and chocolate croissant to go and it was amazing. Has indoor and outdoor seating options so pretty chill and relaxed environment overall with good coffee. P.s. we got extra Nutella pouches upon asking. There are many stores, restaurants in the same compound so there is ample parking space available.

Yelp
Okay, so let's begin. Tons of parking because it's in a plaza. The location itself is pretty tight in the sense of how close you are sitting to the person next to you. The workers were very nice. That is the only reason this review has 2 stars. I bought a "Le club" and modified it a bit. I try to justify pricey food with quality.... I paid $18 for a sandwhich and water bottle. The sandwhich was a cold sandwhich with just some mayo and mustard slapped on and probably the most non quality meats and lettuce i've ever had... this sandwhich literally tasted the same as a publix sub.. not even the ones you order just the pre made ones. They serve it with lays chips.... FOR $18. I also got an ham and cheese empanada for $6.... WORSE IVE EVER HAD. You have better chances of getting a better empanada at a cuban cafeteria in a gas station. Never coming back to this place

Yelp
Ordered at the counter for takeout at this French bistro style restaurant in the Aventura area of North Miami. We would have been seated but the place was packed. I had the Spinach Quiche $12.99 and the Almond and Chocolate Croissant $5.99. We also shared other items. Everything was delicious especially that croissant. Next time we'll get a table.

Michael S.

Yelp
Great food and worth the wait. Authentic French pastries and food. We went for breakfast and were very happy we did.
google avatar

Yulia S.

Yelp
I love this place, cause it is delicious. But two recommendations: -not to overheat pastries, I have to ask every time to give it to me warm, cause it is literally gets burned and burning thru the paper, but keep getting them burnt. So please please start listening -give to go coffee with straws, not much space to move around and go behind tables when it's crowded just for the straws on other side of the cafe is unnecessary Hope they will do some improvements. Their mousse is to die for!

Nisreen H.

Yelp
The staff is very friendly and attentive! The place was packed but they kept great attitude and pass med 4th of July balloons to all the kids that were there. We had a great experience.
google avatar

Raymond H.

Yelp
great service as always and the food was perfect. Tefi and Patricia were very attentive.

Yelp
Best and Most Expensive Club Sandwich in Miami. I will never pay you $21.00 for one. I did just months back $17, but $21 jump. Never. This is not inflation, this is 100% Pure Greed. Go look at Bachour in Coral Gables. They are same, better, and in line with what the product they sell costs in the Market. Don't support Gluttons.
google avatar

Yelp
We will come back and recommend it! Close to everything! Food was good! Coffee was excellent and really hot, just how I like it! The ambience was very nice! Great ser being! Very welcoming! They speak English, Spanish and Portuguese!

Maria F.

Yelp
I love La Boulangerie!, food is delicious and service is great, Tefi is so sweet and easy going. The ambiance is impecable. I'll go again for sure.

Carrie E.

Yelp
By far my favorite spot in Aventura! The food and coffee is perfection and the Nutella croissant....I dream of it! I travel to Aventura frequently and this is a must-do for breakfast.

Suzanne H.

Yelp
Great breakfast and service. Busy neighborhood cafe. Good selection and tasty food. A bit slow paced if you're in a hurry.
google avatar

Pat D.

Yelp
The coffee was delicious. So good I had to buy a bag to take home. We stopped in for a late breakfast. I was on Yelp, looking for breakfast in the area and this restaurant popped up. Th croissants had a nice flaky layered crust, while the inner layers were buttery and delicious. I enjoyed ham and cheese scramble, which was good but had a little too much ham for my personal taste. I also enjoyed the French onion soup. No, it didn't go with the scramble, but I wanted it anyway and I was happy I ordered it because it was delicious. I only wish there had been more of it.

Andres Felipe S.

Yelp
Estefanía was great! thank you for a great time !!! 100% good service, will be back soon
google avatar

Yelp
Super crowded place they took forever to get our order after placing the order it took another 15 mins for the food they never put in our pancakes Super nice place but wish they could've had better service the food was okay
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
So I took my son to breakfast here. Wasn't a fan of the service but it's Aventura so I wasn't surprise. The food was good but it's extremely overpriced for just basic pancakes and french toast.
google avatar

Ashley F.

Yelp
First let's start with the staff. Rude as can be, they don't care to acknowledge you. I sat for a while and no one came to my table. I went inside to order from the counter and ordered one of their sandwiches. When asked if I want half or whole I asked for half, now here is where the problem lies. A whole sandwich per their menu is $13, the half sandwich is $10 - makes no sense, but that's not the worst part. Their menu also says that the half sandwich comes with a soup, that was never offered to me. Sadly I only realized all of this after I had already paid - lesson learned, check the menu first. I ordered the mozzarella prosciutto sandwich and although it wasn't bad it wasn't the best I've had. I took off three stars because sadly this isn't the first time I experience this here. I'll try ordering for pick up next time and see if I have better luck Hopefully you'll have a better experience
google avatar

Eldarbek K.

Yelp
La Boulangerie Boul'Mich breakfast food was fresh and tasty, although it didn't offer anything extraordinary. The coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice were enjoyable. The service was good, but I did notice a slight language barrier with the servers, which can be common in Florida. The place was bustling with activity, and while indoor seating was packed, the outdoor seating options were less comfortable. Additionally, during breakfast hours, the sun can be quite harsh if you choose to sit outside.
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
If you don't speak Spanish then avoid this place at all cost. You'll struggle trying to explain what you want while there's a long line behind you. Got my latte and it was cold and nasty. And they were out of everything. Waste of time.
google avatar

Karla L.

Yelp
Very busy but worth the wait. Great service and the food is really good. Eggs Benedict French Toast

Yelp
Absolutely loved this little spot! We stopped here right before the beach for a quick bite. The service was really good! Our server was super nice, helpful and attentive, since it was our first time. Definitely grab a cappuccino and a Nutella Croissant!! Not to mention the ambiance was very calm and gave me París vibes !

Yelp
Lovely restaurant located in the Aventura area in North Miami Beach. I have visited the plaza before but I never visited this restaurant. We ordered 2 coffees (americanos), the avocado toast with salmon and a spinach quiche plate. The coffee was fresh with a great strong flavor and a nice aroma. I loved the fact that they refill your coffee and the mugs kept the temperature hot at all times. Food arrived pretty fast, generous amounts of salmon and very delicious seasoned creamy avocado. The onion was excellent as well, everything complemented the dish nicely. My bestie tried their quiche, she really enjoyed the flavor and texture, complementing the rich and fresh ingredients on her salad. Our server was very attentive and the restaurant decor was very charming. I didn't tried their pastries but I noticed the great selection available. The restaurant has a very nice ambience, although there wasn't music playing the decor made a very lovely atmosphere.

Yelp
Recently ordered catering- a few pastry trays - from this bakery for my work place and it was a hit! The menus are available on their website and they just need at least a day's notice if you're going to order. Their croissants were fresh and so fluffy and flaky. My favorite is the nutella croissant which is completely filled with nutella- they do not jip you. There's plain, guava, and media luna choices as well. The other kind I ordered was the Latin Pastry tray that included pan de bono, tequenos, and plain croissants. I unfortunately was not quick enough to try those, but I don't doubt that they delivered. If you're ever by Aventura, I would recommend coming by here.

Mikhail L.

Yelp
Decided to try this place one more time. Definitely had better experience than the previous time. Didn't risk getting coffee from them this time. Their pastries were great and severs professional, but it's still way too loud to be inside, I got a headache in 2 minutes and had to get a table outside.

Liz L.

Yelp
Went here for my first time. Great customer service. All the waitresses were super attentive and kind. Tefi, my waitress was really lovely. The food was delicious. I got the pistachio croissant. Wonderful dining experience.
google avatar

Anastasia Z.

Yelp
We went for a brunch on Saturday. It was busy as expected. What was not expected is non-existent customer service. It's like everybody is on their own. I literally had to remove my plate and silverware after it was standing empty in front of me for 15 min (!!!). The place is not that big not to notice. Especially with the team hanging out at the front just chatting. Food was good. They also offer orange juice with the breakfast. Croissant was fresh. Coffee was very cold (I had cappuccino). Not even sure how could it be cold if it is just made. For substitute milk or coffee there is extra charge. The cup was dirty, but again, since there was nobody paying attention, I couldn't flag anybody to attend to it. Overall, might go again, might not. Will not recommend though to eat in.

Yelp
If you close early on a holiday do everyone a favor and note that on Google because it's obnoxious to drive 30 minutes out of the way to get here and be told you're closed- and I actually like the food here but that pissed me off. Don't wanna be that person but it's inconvenient.

Yelp
Great and big variety of French pastry , I did take out and the line was moving quick ... pastry was delicious!

Yelp
the waiter we had was fantastic!! Thank you Estefania!! great service that we have had.

Cira V.

Yelp
I am usually here once every couple weeks !!!! Ok I was first introduced to a new dish which was not on the menu , the server said it was scrambled eggs in a croissant . I waited a bit when received it the eggs they were cold it had salami in it which it Was never mentioned, it was a super greasy croissant and toasted hard , it was nasty!!!! I sent it back I told them to just bring me a baguette with lettuce tomato's and turkey but it was filled it with mayonnaise and mustard without even been asked unbelievable , I believe the waitress had no knowledge at all she should ask if the customer prefers it with condiments or not , but she was pleasant with a big smile on her face and no clue of what was going on her name was Tefi Was a bit disappointed I don't believe I will come back Thank you Cira

Yelp
This quaint little restaurant makes the best fresh croissants in the city. They taste amazing, buttery and flaky. They are good. I think they are one of the best croissants that I have had in a while. I picked this restaurant because of the food pictures I saw while searching. One of the things that caught my eye was the coffees. They all looked really good and nicely decorated with something yummy around the rim of the cup. Unfortunately mine did not look like the one from the picture but tasted pretty good. I was a little disappointed. I ordered the Traditional Egg Benedict. It was OK. It was a little bland for my personal taste. The dish had a side of garlic tomatos. I like garlic very much, but I was not expecting a raw surprised garlic clove inside the tomatoes. Truly I thought it was baked or softened somehow. The raw was a little unexpected. That actually turned into a funny story for another day lol. I got to taste the Norwegian Benedicts from my friends. That was good. They use smoked salmon instead of ham. The salmon tasted great. I liked the dish. The service was fast and professional but not very friendly.

Yelp
Tried it visiting town. Place was great, food was very good. We got French toast and crochet madam. Both outstanding. If you're visiting come try this place. C'est très bien

Jason N.

Yelp
I was very disappointed with poor service and the way La Boulangerie treated their patrons. My family and I (party of 4) went for brunch today. We were told it would be a 15 minutes. After waiting about 40 minutes for a 4 person table to open up our table was given to another party that just showed up. We were told it was the owners family, sorry, there's nothing they could do. So we had to continue to wait. After expressing our frustration to the hostess, we were just told "sorry", don't worry soon. When we finally got a table the service was slow and took a while to get things. Frustratingly, when we got our bill (which was full price, they did not offer to compensate us for being bumped by the owners family) there was an automatic service fee of 18% added to our bill. The food is good, but no better than other brunch places. In my opinion, based on how they treat their customers and how disrespectful they are as a business. I would consider other options. I would prefer to support a business that wants me as a customer.

Alejandra E.

Yelp
yummy food! great service. Tefi and Nahir were our waitresses, they were so kind and helpful. the music was great and the place was neat. will definitely come back!
