La Boulangerie De San Francisco, Union Review - Cow Hollow - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Yes, La Boulangerie is a mini chain around SF. But it’s also one of our go-tos for a satisfying, healthy-ish breakfast or lunch when we want don’t want to dress up or start drinking first thing in the morning. The rolled oats and smoked salmon toast are the move at breakfast and the grain bowl and croque monsieur are your best bets at lunch. They also have a few outdoor tables that are great for people watching, and determining what shoes/socks/shirt brands are taking over the podcast advertising game." - Taylor Abrams

I’ve been wanting to try @laboulangeriesf for so long! They had a couple locations in the city, and I was lucky to swing by their 1st location in SF! The ladies inside were so nice and friendly ☺️ Almost reminds me of a neighbor that baked some fresh pastries and sharing it with you in the morning! I can’t help myself to get the raspberry croissant 🥐. It’s so cute and also delicious! Not overly sweet and full of raspberry aroma. The outside sugar crust was also a good addition to the texture! Their regular croissant is also good! Very buttery with clear layers. Can’t wait to come again for other pastries 🥰

Google
Cute little bakery. We got a garlic, spinach goat cheese quiche, an almond croissant, a kouign-amann, a ham and Swiss croissant, and a peach and custard. The quiche was tasty but the goat cheese was a little salty for my taste. The almond croissant was ok but kinda matches the taste from Panera. The kouign-amann is a very lemon flavor so be ready for that. The ham and Swiss tasted more like Parmesan than Swiss. The peach pastry was actually my favorite, with just a bit of peach flavor on a light custard.

Google
TLDR: croissants weren’t very flaky I had a few different croissants, two with pistachio and one with chocolate hazelnut. The croissants themselves were not very flaky, and the pistachio flavor was a bit bland. I would have preferred stronger pistachio flavor.

Google
Is it the most vegan friendly bakery on Fillmore? It is notoriously difficult to find anything vegan and I’m very grateful that this place is inclusive and welcomes everyone!

Google
A beautiful canelé - dark brown crust, almost fudge-like rum/vanilla custard centre. Madame knows her products, and what goes in them, very well and will gently advise if you are stuck with making a choice (I wanted everything, of course). I thoroughly enjoy buying from knowledgeable bakers.

I've been coming here for years with my daughter, and usually, Itala is quite abrupt with us. I typically brush it off, knowing that she doesn't enjoy her job, which is clear to everyone. However, about two weeks ago, my daughter and I were visiting when a new staff member, who was extremely nice, joined our conversation. Itala interrupted to scold her for not knowing where some baguette sandwiches were located. The young lady explained that they had rearranged things, and since it was only her third day, she was still learning. In response, Itala made a serious allegation that I won't repeat. I suspect she bullied this woman, which is likely why we haven't seen her since. It’s important to focus more on properly disciplining those who drive away good staff with bullying tactics. This behavior is simply unacceptable. Being part of a small, exclusive group while alienating other staff members is not only unfortunate and disrespectful, but it also affects a person's livelihood. They depend on their jobs for financial support, yet they must endure abuse at work. Itala clearly believes her way of doing things is superior, and if she likes you, you're fine---you can misplace itemms here and there because it's 'your' way--‐But if she doesn't, her underlying biases become evident. For the sake of everyone involved, individuals like her shouldn't be working in a French establishment if they harbor any form of racism towards the very people and the culture they represent. I hope this review conveys my frustrations clearly. It infuriates me to witness blatant bullying, and I can't help but feel that Itala treats Hispanic employees more kindly and promptly, while being aggressive toward others, particularly those of French descent.

We went in on a Saturday morning around 10:30. I ordered an almost croissant, pain au chocolate, 2 choc chip cookies, caramel latte and mocha. It was all fresh and delicious. There was a steady flow of customers. I will definitely come again when visiting.

Google
Great high quality bakery items. I had the buttery flake pain au chocolat, the ultra-moist banana/nut loaf, the perfect chocolate chunk cookie and a smoked salmon roll. Delicious and I was stuffed for the rest of the day. Yum.

Yelp
LOVELY!!! Super friendly staff & food is delicious!! The "large" mocha is on the small side, but it's strong and tastes amazing! I did buy a raspberry pistachio croissant and a raspberry financier, but haven't tried them, yet. The "garlicky kale and goat cheese" quiche was small (quantity of filling) but absolutely mouth watering good! There is 1 window table with 2 chairs, inside, and 2 small tables, outside. So, it's not a place to come with a group for a dine-in experience.

Yelp
GET - turkey brie croissant and heat it yum! GET - lemonades are refreshing the pistachio and rasberry had good flavor but just a lil dry. i did come later in afternoon.

Yelp
Stopped by La Boulangerie while shopping on Fillmore to grab a raspberry pistachio croissant and the Parisian tart. The raspberry pistachio croissant here is a must! I loved the flaky layers paired with the sweet pistachio top and tart raspberry jam in the middle. I find pistachio croissants at other bakeries to be too sweet but this one was just right and the tartness of the raspberry really balanced out the icing on top. Really the perfect amount of sweet for a sweet treat. I enjoyed the Parisian tart as well with the crispy base and nice smooth flan custard filling but found it was a bit sweet for my liking. Not as sweet as a traditional flan but for someone who likes more of a Chinese/HK egg tart filling than a custard Portuguese one, this was just a tad too much sugar for me. A really great bakery overall and I loved that they have some free samples out for you to try new items!

Yelp
Excellent breads and raspberry pistachio croissant. The chocolate "crunchy" pistachio croissant, however, has very muted flavors and isn't crunchy at all, so I don't recommend it.

Yelp
I go to the La Boulangerie in Hayes Valley more often than this one, but my hubby likes to visit this one when we are in Pac Height. I sometimes forget this bakery is here because it's on a side street off Fillmore. Great French style pastries. Less menu offerings than their Hayes Valley counterparts. Nice service. Located on Pine and Fillmore.

Yelp
I remember when this was a La Boulange until the bux bought them out and systematically closed the chain. Glad to see the owner resurrect the brand under another name. The croissants and apple turnovers are the same. Huge and delicious. Kougin Aman is ok. Service was quick and the cafe is clean. Outdoor seating only.

Yelp
Adorable pastry shop with wide selection of high quality pastries. We came here for the raspberry pistachio croissant, and we got super lucky and were able to snag their last one! Their raspberry pistachio croissant is a MUST-try. Inside is a raspberry puree that is to die for. The pastry was not overly sweet either which I appreciate. The croissant dough was so flaky and had the perfect texture. The pistachio topping added a nice crunch! We also shared the Kouign-amann, which was a pastry filled with a cream cheese & raspberry puree filling. I personally liked the raspberry pistachio croissant a bit better, but if you're looking for a rich, sweet dessert, then this is the one to get! The workers were super nice and she offered to cut up the croissant into pieces for us to share. Highly recommend stopping by!

Yelp
Delicious almond croissant, orange juice and espresso. I deduct two stars for not having a restroom for customers. The restroom situation in San Francisco is already pretty bad, and this place is making it only worse. In responses to older Yelp reviews, the manager announced a remodel which was supposed to include a restroom, but that apparently never happened. I think they should put a sign at the door reading "No restrooms, not even for paying customers."

Yelp
It was such a nice day out that my friend and I wanted to grab some coffee and catch up. We never saw an almond croissant latte before so we ordered that and a power chai. The power chai was ready super fast and the latte took a while. It was pretty toasty inside the cafe, so we opted to sit outside since it was also a nice day outside. There also wasn't too much seating available, at least compared to the Hayes location. That said, it was very cozy inside and vibes were good. Regarding the drinks, the power chai was amazing! Definitely would get it again-- my friend who doesn't even like chai said it was good be good because the spice wasn't too overpowering. The almond croissant latte honestly didn't have too much of an almond croissant flavor-- it kind of just tasted like a regular latte.

Yelp
Pretty okay pastries, but I feel like there's just a lot of good options in SF and this one was pretty not that memorable and a bit on the pricy side. I got a croissant and a kouign amman, both were okay, and came out to $12.
google avatar

Becca H.

Yelp
Cute little french bakery in SF! I thought they had pretty good pastries. If you're craving a baguette sandwich or almond croissant, this is a great spot. I enjoyed and recommend!

Yelp
One of the best bakeries I've ever been to! Seriously, I thought the pastries were as good as some I've had in Europe. The staff was also super friendly, and they had samples of some of the pastries! I got a strawberry cream tart, potato bacon onion tart and a ham and cheese croissant and all of them were delicious. I loved that the strawberry cream tart was very light and refreshing. It was perfectly crisp. The ham and cheese was pretty cheesy but heated up, it was perfection. I also ordered an ice latte, and I liked that it was not too milky. I could really taste the espresso! It was perfect with my pastries. The only con was that there was no restroom available and not too much seating. I will be back the next time I'm in San Francisco!

Tulisa T.

Yelp
banana nut muffin: 9/10 pistachio raspberry croissant: 9/10 tomato egg: 8/10 egg croissant: 8/10 very delicious foods and pastries. a bit on the pricier side but still tasty. overall, service was quick and friendly and would come back again. the place is small and has a small seating area. would recommend if you like sweet pastries.

Yelp
There are around 10-15 seats inside, and it's warm and smells nice inside. The pastries are delicious, and they didn't charge me extra for simple syrup in my latte!
google avatar

Meghan B.

Yelp
The pastries here are fantastic but expensive. I ordered an oat milk latte, a kouign amann, and a ham and cheese croissant and somehow the total was almost $30. The ladies behind the counter were a little cold and looked at me like I was nutty for asking for sugar free vanilla syrup. I noticed after I ordered that they make their own infused simple syrups- which was a nice touch but too late for me to try one. Prices weren't posted in an easy to see location. Loved the kouign amann and croissant and the latte was ok as well, but I won't be back

Yelp
Came here this afternoon for a coffee after brunch, the bakery smelled amazing upon arrival. Service was super quick with us as we were so indecisive and asked lots of questions haha. We got the raspberry croissant, chocolate croissant, chocolate chip cookie, and the almond croissant latte. Everything tasted delicious and buttery. I was pleasantly surprised, although I asked for less sweetness on the latte and it didn't end up tasting like anything so I got a little more haha. Would come back!

Yelp
Stopped by La Boulangerie with a friend for coffee and eats. We had a few of the pastries, but the ham and cheese croissant was the one I enjoyed the most. I had a cold brew as well which was good. Some seating inside. Back seating is very hot with all the machinery. There are a few tables outside as well. Street parking only.

Yelp
Was in San Francisco for a mini vacation, and decided to get something quick from la boulangerie since my wife and I are huge fans of their croissant loaf (amazing for French toast). Don't have any pictures to offer and did take it to go. I ordered the ham and cheese croissant, and will say that mine was pretty good, maybe not as flakey as it could have been but pretty good. We also ordered the brioche bacon egg and cheese. The egg was soft and tasty, unfortunately the bread I think was over toasted maybe and was a little hard. We also ended up ordering the chocolate croissant and hazelnut croissant which were both pretty good as well. Overall really good just wish they hadn't toasted that brioche so much. Service was pretty quick and don't have any complaints about the location. Would order again from this location.

Yelp
Matcha Latte was the worst matcha i have ever had. There were visible chunks at bottom of matcha that even after mixing was still there. I paid 10 dollars for essentially watered down matcha that tasted nothing like matcha. Save your money !

Yelp
A terrific little bakery to grab some great pastries or sandwiches to go for breakfast or lunch. Simple and tasty French inspired baguette sandwiches and pastries at this corner location. Staff is very friendly, energetic and full of smiles. On the Sunday morning when we went, there was a small queue that moved along quite quickly thanks to the attentive staff. Lots of seating both inside and out. Clean, nice decor. A couple folks were getting a little email done on their laptops, but most people were just enjoying the morning. Energetic vibe. My favorites here (that I almost ALWAYS order) include: Almond Croissant - Flaky as any good croissant should be, and BIG, with plenty of almonds up top and almond paste filling inside. We usually order a couple.. one to eat there, and one or more to take home to enjoy the next day or two, Turkey, Pesto and Cheddar Sandwich - served on a thin French Baguette. Simple and to the point. Pro tip is to have them toast this up for you if you are planning to eat this right away. We also had the egg, sausage and whole wheat muffin sandwich. Everything in it was soft, somewhat flavorful, but I'd like something a little more crispy in texture. Next time, I'll stick with the many tried and true and most excellent pastries here. They have another branch of this bakery over on Pine Street too. Over there, you can really hear the French accents of the folks behind the counter. Legit! The Food is the same quality at both! .

Yelp
La Boulangerie consistently offers delicious pastries, and the friendly, inviting atmosphere makes every visit enjoyable. The service is always top-notch, and I love the convenience of having iced drinks like Vietnamese coffee, cold brew, and organic green tea already chilled and ready to go.
google avatar

Yelp
Their almond croissants are absolutely delicious--crispy on the outside and perfectly soft and flavorful inside. The coffee is top-notch that feels authentic and better than places like Starbucks. Service is quick and the staff is incredibly friendly. While the seating area is limited, it's cozy enough for a quick bite. The baked goods here are a must-try, making it well worth a visit but it gets 4 stars and not 5 because these things are not cheap. Almost $6 for a croissant I'd finish in less than 10 minutes, it's a high price for a quick treat. I do recommend for anyone in the area to give it a try.
google avatar

Yelp
I am absolutely in love with the amount of options they have for croissant, salad, sandwiches, and bananas, all baked goods, and coffee options! They have four locations in San Francisco and this is my first time trying this location absolutely in love with it. They were able to make me a decaf caramel latte, which tastes amazing and I complemented that with the croissant, which was so fluffy and good have them warm it up for you. It's even better. Sausage, egg, and cheese muffin was amazing. McDonald's does not compare lol All of the guys that were working, front were super helpful and eager to share about all the options they have. Love the ambience it's very small café style with seating in the back. I got a really cozy mom and a lot of friendly camaraderie. 10/10 coming back!
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
I just tried the churro croissant. the crust was perfectly flakey, the top of the croissant was sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon, and it was lightly filled with a creamy/fluffy filling. I would definitely recommend. I can't wait to go back and try more bakery items. The bakery has a few small tables inside and outside, but not many.
google avatar

Kristine D.

Yelp
I went here from a TikTok recommendation. Specifically this location and it did not disappoint. I don't know why it doesn't have higher ratings. The pastries were bountiful and phenomenal. I had the Dubai chocolate croissant. And whoa! I also had the almond croissant latte and wow! That was great too. The concept of how to order was confusing. But once I got it I wouldn't mind going again or to the other locations.

Yelp
This place is THE BEST FRENCH BAKERY IN SF. Hands down. I've been getting almond croissants here and other delicious treats for over a decade and make sure to stop by every time I go to SF now that I don't live in the city anymore. Their Chai is THE BEST IVE EVER HAD. The people are super kind and lovely and this place just can't be beat: pastries coffee or tea sandwiches go get you some!
google avatar

Diana D.

Yelp
Good pastries! We got the cheese danish and crookie. Friendly staff. Busy around lunchtime on a weekday (12:30-1ish). Coffee is just ok. They also have empanadas and sandwiches. Would definitely come back while shopping alone Fillmore!

Yelp
By the name and the look of things I had high expectations. I was anticipating a slam dunk but I got a missed layup instead. I wouldn't dare call it bad but it's not a must try. I got the almond croissant which they told me they were known for. It was as dry as my Humor. You wouldn't hate it but won't love it they had plenty of other offerings. Not far from some other great food spots I wouldn't say it's going to be your regular stop. Would be a good option to buy your bread though if you like it fresh baked and high end. (3.6 Stars)

Yelp
Messy inside. All tables were dirty. Employees were nice and the food was good. No wifi. Google says they have wifi but they don't.

Yelp
This came highly recommended by local friends who had nothing but good things to say about this bakery. On a recent trip to the Bay Area, I tried a couple of their pastries to go! Fantastic layers and flavours for both: croissant and peppermint bark brownie. Both reheated well in the oven! Happy to return and try more!

Michelle R.

Yelp
Pastries were delicious! I got a chocolate croissant and a raspberry bread/pastry. They were very reasonably priced. They were very friendly. It went with my hot chocolate as I don't drink coffee. I do wish that they had more seating as I couldn't enjoy my tasty food nearby due to the limited seating options. Luckily the weather was nice so I was able to enjoy it still :)
google avatar

Debbie T.

Yelp
FOLLOW UP: Sorry to say the almond croissant was a total miss. Not to be purchased again. It's never been my favorite one in the Bay Area. It used to be good enough. I'll try something else the next time. The croissant bread toast was delightful. LAST WEEK'S REVIEW: Always, always friendly and patient service. A joy to stop in to get something to satisfy my mega sweet tooth with their fine treats. You enter wonderland when you walk through the doorway. Today, a delectable almond croissant. A loaf of croissant bread to toast for breakfast with friends soon. Can't wait to lather it with lilikoi butter! There is nothing like it in either parts of the Sunset, Parkside, West Portal, or Outer Richmond. There are other bakeries in those areas with other delicious offerings.

Yelp
Ambience- 3.5/5. It's not a big coffee shop, but a good size to sit either at a bar or small tables. They offer a free wifi. The door is open for the whole time so make sure you are dressed warm. Cappuccino- 3.5/5. A pretty good cappuccino here. Almond croissant - 2.5/5. Don't get me wrong. It's not terrible. We personally didn't enjoy theirs as much as we do at our favorite cafe, Fresh Flour, in Seattle. We travel a lot, but haven't found the one that is better than fresh flour's yet.
google avatar

Magz B.

Yelp
The pastries look amazing and taste great. We tried the chorizo empanada and a raspberry cheese pastry. Both were excellent. We added half & half into the cold brew. It was perfect. The almond croissant latte was true to its name. 2 pastries + 2 coffees ~ $26

Yelp
This was my first experience at La Boulangerie because I generally don't visit chain restaurants. This location was one of the few places open on the morning of a holiday, which was such a pleasant experience. I had something that was so good that I decided to leave a review! I had a wonderful pumpkin cream cheese danish! I love the textures of the danish because the crust was covered in a rock sugar and the pumpkin seeds in the center. I would recommend this location for a reliable place to grab a bite and there was lots of seating inside as well. Pumpkin

Yelp
Their ham and cheese croissant is delicious! We always stop by for that otw to UCSF when we're in town. Service is friendly and quick.

Yelp
I find it challenging to review shops like this since there are so many factors at play: can I compare two locations? can I technically compare the whole brand to one other store that may be its own brand, if the former has multiple locations and the latter only one? (Did that make sense? Idk.) My main mission was an almond croissant (ended up roped into a egg sammy as well) and I'm gunna write this purely on my experience. I've been to the location in Hayes valley and that almond croissant stands out in my memory. I don't remember being wow'd, but I enjoyed it more than others ( and you can sit down and such, but I won't hold the property against anyone lol). The presentation was deff A grade at Pine, but I felt like the pastry itself lacked some density that I expected. But here is another difficult point of reviewing pastries: there's so many variations, and so many different preferences. I prefer more volume of the almond sweet paste and some density to her ‍ and not so fluffy, but to each their own! The staff was polite and respectful, and the interior was relaxing. So why 3 stars? 3 isn't bad. But it wasn't 5 for sure- I wasn't Wow'd. The outside of the croissant at 8:30am was kinda of hard. And despite going through the oven, the egg sandwhich was cold and put together kinda sloppy. The quality was "meh" (in my opinion). And the total was $14 for both. But idk how their coffee is! Don't take this as a review of their whole brand or what not; just my unique experience on a day and time with certain expectations

Yelp
I really want to highlight this lively cafe on the side street off busy Filmore. The coffee is nice and everything I have ordered has been delicious. The vibe inside is also simple and down to earth. The service and staff are also what makes this place really great. If you live in the area or visiting and you need a quick breakfast, lunch or sweet snack this is a great spot.
google avatar

Yelp
this is a quaint little, kind of hidden French bakery/cafe in pacific heights. love the vibes and the friendly staff! the pastries were decent, but nothing to shout about. I also got 2 baguettes (not pictured) to take home and it's crunchy outside and soft inside but I wish it had a lighter crumb.
google avatar

Yelp
A classic and exceptional local French pastry spot. I loved that all the breads and pastries were freshly made. You can get a classic baguette, croissant, sandwiches, quiches, and coffees. I loved my ham and cheese croissant which you can ask to be toasted. It was so flaky, buttery but not sickeningly heavy and was flavored to perfection! My matcha was ok but I would definitely recommend grabbing an assortment of pastries! It's definitely a local spot as I met a lady who has been going to this place for over 20 years and recommended me some of the other pastries to try Price: $ Overall: 9.8/10 Must get: pistachio raspberry croissant, Financier, croissants

Jerry M.

Yelp
La Boulangerie which has been one of our favorite Bakeries just imposed a 6% Healthy SF Surcharge which is ridiculous! This is "Gouging" given the rate an establishment can charge is up to the business. If La Boulangerie is going to charge a 6% mandate fee in addition to SF sales tax, every purchase would now have a 15% fee passed on to the customer. Jane Bakery recently did away with their egregious Healthy SF mandate fee and now La Boulangerie on Pine Street should do the same. Thank you

Yelp
I was in Japantown and needed some breakfast/coffee before 8am and luckily this location was open! They had a variety of pastries, baked goods and desserts on available. I picked a savory and a sweet - the brie, ham, croissant and chocolate hazelnut croissant. Both alright especially with the limited options very early in the morning. I would say that these would be better heated up, so I would request that. We also got the Vietnamese cold brew and it was already premade in the fridge for grab and go. It wasn't our favorite - a bit bitter and I'm not sure if there was any condensed milk in it as there wasn't even a hint of sweetness. There was a nice seating area on the first floor, although it may be too cramped during busy hours. Overall, a good option for early morning coffee/breakfast in the Lower Pac Heights area.

Yelp
Recently stopped by on a Sunday morning to grab a coffee and a pastry. The store is super nice; some seating inside and outside, and you get a clear view of the bakery interior. Clearly a super traditional French bakery! I was however pretty disappointed by the chocolate croissant I got. I don't know if I just got unlucky with an older batch, but it tasted like a Safeway croissant. The chocolate was completely solid, and not spread very evenly within the pastry. The croissant itself was very doughy and chewy, and didn't have the airiness I look for in nicer croissants. The cortado was good though! Very classic and tasted exactly how I expect my coffee to be. I'll stop by again if I'm in the area just to give them a second chance. It does really look like it should be good!
google avatar

Yelp
Love their sandwiches and cappuccinos. For a quick sit-down lunch, hard to beat. Although "sit-down" may be a misnomer. Very little seating here. And oddly no restrooms even for customers. Service can be a bit rude at times. There are other La Boulangerie locations that I prefer for these reasons, but I find myself on Fillmore pretty often.

Yelp
Everything we ordered were amazing! I came here after my annual pet visit at the SF AMC which was around the corner. Looking for a small takeout brunch, This shop is quite popular with a line out the door with customers. We waited with my dog and this area definitely has a large dog owner community. The inside was spacious with its open kitchen so you get to see the magic happening. All items are made fresh and you can definitely tell from the quality. The taste is amazing with caramelized crispy crunch with soft, chewy and gooey inside. Can't wait to come back again.

Yelp
I was in Japantown for the Cherry Blossom Festival and I decided to also check out some of the bakeries in the area, this one being one of them. Got the chorizo empanada and the raspberry-pistachio croissant since those seemed like popular choices (there were a few of them left when I visited). Also got a "chausson aux pommes" (apple turnover) just to try a total of 3 items from this place. Chorizo empanada: delicious hand pie! The pastry crust isn't too thick and has a good slight chew to it. The filling has tasty chorizo that isn't overly salty. Very good to eat on the go! I could've downed another one easily. Raspberry-pistachio croissant: not only is this pastry oh so photogenic but it's good! Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I'm not too fond of croissants that are so crispy on the outside that one bite results in a huge flaky mess. This croissant is a pretty sturdy one; the exterior does still have a slight crisp to it and I was able to enjoy the chewiness of the inside without worrying about making a storm of crumbs. I also appreciate that the raspberry filling is essentially mashed raspberries highlighting the tartness of pure raspberry (I find that raspberry jam is overused when it comes to raspberry pastries). As much as what the croissant's look implies, the pistachio flavor isn't quite prominent. I still very much enjoyed this croissant overall though! Chausson aux pommes: pretty solid apple turnover. Nothing to write home about except that I like that the filling isn't overly syrupy and that the apples aren't overcooked-soft (this place really knows how to incorporate fruit into pastries). Good choice if you're craving for a fruit pastry. Especially after very much enjoying all three items I am a bit surprised that this bakery didn't have a line of people for ordering (the other bakeries that I visited on the same day did). Chill vibes here with people chit chatting at the tables right outside of the bakery. Definitely a bakery worth checking out!

Yelp
I stopped by La Boulangerie in the afternoon on a weekday with the goal of getting some pastries for tomorrow's breakfast. They still had a really good selection available even though it was a few hours from closing. I settled on a plain croissant, ham & swiss croissant, and apple turnover. I ended up snacking on the plain croissant later that day - while it was no longer fresh & crispy, I actually really liked the flavor of the dough. Blasting it in the air fryer would've made it so delicious. Both the apple turnover and ham & cheese croissants were tasty as well (I airfried those the next day). Though the pastries were a little bit on the expensive side, I think that La Boulangerie is not a bad option for some croissants if you're in the area & craving them. I would definitely go back to try the other options.
