Despite its name, La Boulangerie isn't quite a French bakery- it's Korean. You won't find any authentic, or even Americanized French products on display here, and it's apparent from the moment you step into the store, erasing any potential deception as what products are being sold here.
As far as I know of, there are quite a few Asian-style bakeries in the area. From my knowledge, there are at least 9 of these types of bakeries that sell the same thing as La Boulangerie around the area. Some are at the supermarkets, some are from large Asian bakery chains, and a few small stores like this. Out of all these bakeries, this one in particular still stands out. It's not any cheaper nor more expensive, but it does tend to make a few things in their selection that the others don't, namely the red bean streusel bread. None of the other places around here make it. They do have a few other unique pieces, but I don't know if they're permanent fixtures on the menu.
I've never had a single bread or pastry from here that I didn't like, and even though there's a small booth for Shilla bakery in the same shopping center as this bakery, I always stop by La Boulangerie first.
