La Cabra Iluminada

Delicious and authentic Mexican food made vegan. I was very positively surprised to find this little gem of a restaurant serving extraordinary vegan takes on enmoladas, chilaquiles, etc. I tried a few items on the menu and what I would most recommend are the enchiladas verdes—their salsa was delicious and the vegan cheese they fill them with is incredible. Staff was very friendly and their place is quite cozy. I was a bit sad that their baked goods selection is European (e.g., babka, berliners, cardamom buns) as opposed to Mexican, so there was nothing sweet that would nicely compliment the meal. But otherwise, it was a lovely place and I will happily be returning.

Lovely vibe and ambience with remarkable plant based vegan cuisine. The vegan cheese is beyond tasty and the consistency of real cheese is beyond. We loved the enchiladas and the stuffed corn bowl along with the pear, nut ensalada in which tasted like real blue cheese 🥗 this restaurant is beyond just like it’s brother restaurant Don Tacos Tequila which is also beyond beyond.

Delicious vegan cafe with a courtyard and a book store in the back. I highly recommend our two entrees below, Tamal de Espinaca and Canasta de Maiz. The cappuccino, mocha, and cinnamon roll were also perfect.

Delectably vibrant fresh beautiful food—we ordered many things to taste and our tastebuds had a party ✨ everything was fresh, perfectly presented and absolutely delicious. I’ve never had such incredible vegan cheese-not sure how they do it! Super cute garden vibe as well in a quaint setting w nice music. Highly recommend to go indulge!

A wonderful small vegan garden restaurant in San Miguel de Allende centro area. Excellent breakfast options, coffee and fresh juices (verde and 🍊 orange juice were yummy). Friendly, attentive service. Also open for lunch, closes at 16:00. Highly recommend a visit!

I can't believe this place is 100% Vegan. Staff are friendly, coffee is fantastic and they make the most amazing cinnamon rolls. We've been several times, the food is full of flavour and consistently good. For coffee it's one of the best in town, they know what a Long Black is, which is always a great indicator for batista who knows what they are doing. Vegan or not, this is a cafe you have to try.
