Friends invited us for dinner. Food was good. My steak was good but I waited forever for the butter for my potatoes that it got cold and butter was not melting. My old fashion was done right as I requested unsweetened. Breads and free appetizer was good.

Google
La Cabrera Sunny Isles – An Amazing Argentinian Steakhouse Worth Visiting Rating: ★★★★★ (10/10) I just had the absolute pleasure of dining at this Argentinian steakhouse, and let me tell you, it was everything I was hoping to find and more. If you’ve ever been to a place that just nails it on every level—from the warm welcome to the incredible food—this is that kind of place. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I’d stumbled upon a hidden gem. It had the same cozy and welcoming vibe that my old favorite, Las Vacas Gordas, used to have before it closed down, and honestly, I think I like this spot even more. The staff were all incredibly friendly. I got smiles and greetings from everyone, and my bartender, Joshua, made me feel right at home with some fantastic recommendations and even a complimentary appetizer. Everything I tried was a hit. The sweetbreads were a revelation—not bread at all, but a delicious, exotic meat dish that blew me away. And of course, my usual favorites—the octopus and skirt steak—were cooked to absolute perfection. The house dipping sauce was something truly special, and even the dessert—their “panqueque”—was one of the best I’ve ever had. This is a place that truly deserves to thrive — a reminder that great food and genuine hospitality still exist in Miami. If you’re in the Miami area, do yourself a favor and check it out. You won’t regret it!

Google
We have gone to this location two times and it’s always excellent. Last time we tried the Miami Spice menu for lunch and the quality and portions were exceptional. Carlos was our waiter and we got top notch treatment. We can’t wait to come back. I highly recommend coming here. Your belly will thank you.

Personal and attentive service. Our server Carlos was pleasant and friendly. Food was very flavorful and high quality. We got verity of “on the house” small samples between courses. The meat was done perfectly and the dessert was great. Very pleasant atmosphere. Professionally managed.

It doesn’t matter if you go to the original location in Palermo (Buenos Aires) or the ones in Sunny Isles or Coconut Grove in Miami, La Cabrera is always consistent, always delicious, it’s an easy pick for a date, a group dinner, or especially a birthday. For me is simply one of the best Argentine restaurants you can count on every single time. The meats are incredibly delicious, and the small appetizers they include really bring out those classic Argentine flavors. The traditional parrilla-style attire, the cozy atmosphere, and the great wine selection all come together to make every visit memorable.

Google
No wonder this place has 5 stars ~ it deserves each one of them. From the food from the service 10/10. Excellent. Augustina was super nice. I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes. We also had the spinach ravioli and they were really good.

Google
Wish I would have found this place sooner. The restaurant was amazing, great atmosphere, excellent service. The food was to die for. Our waiter Carlos, was so attentive and let us sample these delicious items. I highly recommend this restaurant for the food and the service, along with the mouth watering samples. ❤️😋

La Cabrera in Sunny Isles is an Argentine steakhouse that truly stands out for its excellent service, warm atmosphere, and remarkable attention to detail. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that every visit feels special. The ambiance is both cozy and elegant, perfect for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. Every dish is thoughtfully presented, and the little details in the service elevate the entire dining experience. A must-visit for lovers of Argentine cuisine and fine dining experiences.

Yelp
BLOWN AWAY! First time diners in this amazing Argentinian steak house and it was nothing but fantastic from start to finish! Our waitress Marianna was wonderful, we could tell she loved her job, she was excited and bubbly to share her knowledge of the menu as we were both very curious about what we were indulging in. The veal hearts were absolutely fantastic, maybe even the best part of the meal! The ribeye and the short ribs were really good too they paired very well with the squash, which you definitely don't want to sleep on! Thank you to the manager Joseph for his warm and welcoming demeanor, his level of customer service was well above and beyond the attention to detail I've received in a very long time. We will definitely be back!

Yelp

Yelp
Good dinner this evening. We searched to find a new cuisine, this place fancy itself with an Argentinian flare so we walked down to give it a try. We were very welcomed walking through the door. We were offered seating inside or out. The Floridians feel the weather is too muggy to sit outside, we were more than happy to do so. A word of caution, you are on a very busy street when you sit outside, so there is a good deal of traffic noise. To begin, they bring out a plate of four types of bread, along with a tray with green and black olives and a red tangy spread. This was quite good. We started out with an empanada appetizer. You have a choice of four kinds, we went with spinach. Before the appetizer arrived, the waitress brought out a plate of bread and olives. We are off to an excellent start. When the empanadas showed up, we were provided 8 cups of dips, six of which were different toppings to put on the appetizer. We tried them all. From barbecue sauce to salt, hummus, and a tomato based sauce, we had fun tasting the different flavors. For the entree, both of us went with the Outside skirt steak. We went this route as it was recommended by the waitress as one of their more signature dishes. We went with it prepared, medium. A short time later, the meal arrived, both of which were the 14 ounce portion. They do offer a larger portion if you're super hungry. The steak was slightly overcooked, but not enough to ruin the mood. The steak was flavorful, but a bit on the fatty side. I get the fat as it adds flavor so it really was not an issue. The meals come à la carte. So we ordered steamed broccoli and sweet potato fries. Overall good experience. A place I would return to again.

Yelp
Seriously you have to be kidding me. I made the brutal mistake going to La Cabrera tonight and was astonished that these people believe this will play in America. I ordered a 14 ounce filet mignon and out came two small pieces that they claim totaled 14 ounces. Are they serious? Is this how it is in Buenos Aires? Clearly they are buying smaller pieces to save money and screw the customer. I have never seen anything like this in all of my years. I then had them bring me a NY strip which was at least one piece but about as bad of a steak as something can be that's still technically allowed to be called a steak. I cannot believe there is anyone in this place because there is no chance they will ever be able to survive. A complete embarrassment of a restaurant. I'm only giving them two stars because the people are nice. Be smart and go somewhere else.
google avatar

John R.

Yelp
Overall, a great experience. The food was unique and tasty. The 14oz Ribeye was superb, as was the Soufflé Gnocchi. The Grilled Argentinian provolone was something to try, but it is one of those dishes that needed to come with instructions. This was somewhat the theme of the 4 vs 5 star review, too. There was simply a language gap for the people at the table and for service. The place itself is wonderfully cozy and the service is friendly; however, the nuances of the menu might have trouble being understood if this cuisine is new to you, and it is something to consider when going here.

Yelp
This place is absolutely wonderful and has so many options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. For dinner, they offer you free different mini appetizers that can already keep you full. The service is wonderful and the ambiance is great. It's fun and spacious and you can hear your friends talk. I highly suggest this place if you're in the area!!

Yelp

Yelp
We gathered for lunch to celebrate our colleague's birthday, conveniently located just a few steps from work. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The service staff, including servers, runners, and managers, were all commendable. Carlos, our main waiter, stood out for his friendliness, attentiveness, and helpfulness with the menu. The prices of the food were reasonable a bit high, and the flavors of the dishes exceeded our expectations. Place is nice for a private dinner or lunch, the atmosphere is subtle to enjoy your meal.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place and can't believe i hadn't gone when i used to live in Surfside. The restaurant is located in sunny isles inside a plaza so it has convenient parking. It is a bit tight due to a lot of business in the plaza but still worth it. Inside the restaurant is very dimly lit with accent of antique looking plates near the roof and some adorable air balloons. The service was very warm and extremely welcoming. Our server i don't quite remember her name but she was very sweet and attentive. We had an octopus as a starter that was delicious. A substancial size that makes sense with pricing and makes it very fair. I had a new york strip that was delicious and cooked perfectly. My friend had a entraña that i tried that was also delicious and cooked perfectly. Our side was an arugula salad with parmesan that we added oil and balsamic vinaigrette too. They also hand out complementary items through the time and they're all AMAZING. My personal favorites were the beet one, a malbec/gargonzola sort of cream and the pear with Gorgonzola!! Dessert was a basque cheese cake that had a strawberry ice cream on the side. The presentation and flavor did not disappoint! I only give four stars due to the fact i wish they had a bit more variety with appetizers. All in all though amazing place and can't wait to come back!

Yelp
This is a casual place in Sunny Isles, they can accommodate large groups, and specially in meat, but also have seafood available. I went with a group of 12 colleagues, and the service was pretty good considering we were such a large party.. some of the appetizers we had were: empanadas, burrata, mollejas, crispy calamari and provoleta. I really did not have a favorite, perhaps the empanadas? Nothing was really worth bragging about. I shared half a New York steak with a colleague, and it was okay, a little overcooked. Overall i had a nice time, i mostly enjoyed the company, and the fact that the service was pleasant and quick. I probably wouldn't go out of my way, as it's quite far for me.

Yelp
Our dinner at La Cabrera was excellent. We made a reservation online and we were seated as soon as we arrived. We ordered Steak with bleu cheese and the rib eye steak. For sides we had mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. The portions were very generous. The service was outstanding and the atmosphere was pleasant. Highly recommended!

Yelp
I prefer La Cabrera in Buenos Aires - I just didn't think it was great here and overpriced. Neither of us enjoyed out steaks.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is great! The steaks were all outstanding and all the accompaniments they bring are always interesting and delicious. The service is great. I've been here several times and have always had an excellent experience here. One of my favorites.

Yelp
Great staff. Amazing food + drinks. What more do you want in Miami? Try this place!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Clearly the expectations of all the people leaving 5 stars here is different than mine of what constitutes a great steakhouse experience. What I witnessed was a madhouse of people celebrating anniversaries wearing neon lighted plastic glasses provided by the management and tables scoffing down cheap cuts of gristly meat. My Manhatten was shaken. The temperature on my NY strip was wrong twice. To be kind, the floor staff was friendly and the fries were great. Proceed with caution.

Alba O.

Yelp
The ambiance was lovely and the service genuinely friendly, which made for a pleasant start. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the reputation. It was good--but not excellent--and I was expecting more flavor and finesse. There was no silverware on the table when we sat down, which felt odd. The waitress brought bread and sliced olives that were completely tasteless. Then came a series of tiny side bites: pumpkin, garlic cloves, eggplant with onions--all equally bland. We hadn't asked for these, yet they were included in the bill. When the main dishes arrived, the meat was served solo--no sides included. We later noticed, in very fine print on the menu, that portions could be shared... but only after we'd already ordered. We had two glasses of Chilean wine, and the final bill came to $269. Definitely pricey for what we received. It was okay to experience once, but we won't be returning.
google avatar

Momma M.

Yelp
One and done for me. Service is very slow, but given it was a busy Saturday I was very patient. Several different people came to our table so we never really knew who are main server was. Bread came out...No butter so I requested it (I'm thinking surely some nice fresh butter will come out since this is a fancy steakhouse. Nope 2 squares of hard butter wrapped in foil were dropped off) I ordered an old fashioned and my husband an espresso martini, both were good. We ordered the cowboy steak cooked medium well with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. The steak was a large lovely cut of meat, however it wasn't properly seasoned or cooked and it was very tuff to eat. The Mac and cheese was fine, the potatoes were fine. Everything was decent, but for the price, service , and undercooked and under seasoned steak it's a big NO for me. The check came and there is an automatic 18% restaurant fee added to the bill, when I asked the server who came to collect the bill if that was her tip included she replied..."No that fee goes to the restaurant the tip for me is additional." Are you f'ing kidding me? I always tip 20% for my food, however I'm not giving the restaurant almost 40% extra!! This place is nuts! Maybe go for a cocktail and skip the food.

Yelp
Had to visit after learning a location opened up in the Miami area! We scheduled reservations using OpenTable for Mother's Day and enjoyed our pick. They offer complimentary appetizers and the waiters provide suggestions and answers questions related to the most popular items on the menu. It was super helpful to decide what our entree for the evening was going to be based on other Yelp posts which did not disappoint. I would recommend the gnocchi, which is a pasta, and the skirt steak it was fire! When your steak arrives at the table, the waiter cuts the steak for you table side asking if it cooked to your liking. Also, when you wrap up your meal, lollipops are brought over to the table for you to choose from. There is no limit on how many you can take which I thought was a cute addition. The space in the restaurant can be a bit tight if crowded, but it turned out to be perfect as there was a lite crowd.

Yelp
The wife and I had a great meal here. The service was very attentive, Jonathan was a great server. Kept bringing this delicious whipped cream merlot sweet with black raspberry. The food was top notch and the Argentine wine complimented the meat perfectly. At our visit around 7pm the restaurant was quiet and very romantic. Pricing is where one would expect at about $100 per person, drinks included. We will definitely return.

Yelp
Located in the heart of Sunny Isles Beach; will be a worth drive if you're from Argentina! When I searched for steakhouse in current location, La Cabrera was one of the options that came out from the list. The only La Cabrera that I love is in Buenos Aires Argentina and boom after checking out the website I was so excited it was the same place so I had to give it a try! We started our meal with a Sophie Leron cocktail and 2 glasses of Amalaya Gran Corte Malbec - Cabernet Franc 2020 as the hostess mentioned we were in Happy Hour everything was half price. Followed with appetizers of Molleja & Chorizo. Loved the Chorizo but the Molleja was too undercooked for my liking. Since we were in Happy Hour we switched our wine to Zuccardi Q Malbec 2019. For entrée we had: * Caesar Salad; delicious but over poured with sauce. * Mashed Potatoes was amazing; I can eat it everyday! * Bife al Roquefort was perfectly cooked! Medium as we asked! Delicious! Will definitely order it again! * Cowboy Bone in Ribeye grilled medium to perfection! Definitely will order it again! For dessert: * Panquequas filled with Dulce de Leche and a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream. I can definitely eat that Dulce de Leche all day every day! Not sweet at all which was the very best part! Loved our experience at La Cabrera will definitely will go back! One thing and the reason why I dropped a star was simply because our waiter decided to charge us for the price of our first wine Amalaya instead of the Zuccardi. I wasn't going to make a scene about it but make sure you check your final check properly because if they do that with a simple glass of wine they might charge you differently with bottles or even steak cut. Unprofessional & dishonesty and that's a major turn off in my book!

Yelp
Went in on a Sunday evening with no reservations, I would recommend having reservations. We were able to get a table in the bar, but it did get full quick. Services was great - steaks were good and great drinks.

Yelp
Had a great meal a couple of weeks ago, enjoy the NY strip steak, also had the burrata over tomato, everything was delicious, need to go back soon!

Yelp
We tried this restaurant earlier this evening and it was a nice cozy restaurant in Sunny Isles. The food was pretty good. I had the ribeye, mac, and grilled veggies. They offer you a variety of "side" dishes and tapas "on the house" which is nice. Our waiter was very kind too. He was knowledgeable about the menu. I plan on returning and trying different things on the menu! Overall a nice Argentinian restaurant that has a wonderful menu and service.

Yelp
Great dining experience here. My whole family came to celebrate my uncles birthday. It was 10 of us and they had a big table set up for us. Our server Javi was great! Very friendly and attentive. We ordered two types of steaks, salmon, salad, grilled veggies, and fries to share. We ordered a bottle of red wine as well. The steaks were delicious! Cooked perfectly and very juicy. The sides were also delicious. They bring lots of little samplers of various things such as mashed sweet potato, mashed green peas, mashed beets, mashed potato's, mushrooms, and grilled garlic cloves to taste. They also give this warm cheese bread that was so yummy. The ambience inside is also nice. Would come back again!

Gone G.

Yelp
Excellent food great service and ambiance with lots of very good vegetarian options. The bread was one the softest fluffiest almost melts in your mouth type of bread. We ordered a bunch of the veg pastas, as many folks in our party were vegetarian and they were all very good. All our courses were very tasty highly recommend the lava cake with ice cream. Service was what stood out the most. From the manager to the servers. Drinks arrived promptly, water glasses were never empty, plates cleaned up nicely. We were surprised with a complimentary appetizer platter AND a dessert both of which were excellent. We went on Christmas Day, so not sure if it was due to that but overall made for a very enjoyable evening. Thank you for the wonderful food and service.

Yelp
What a wonderful restaurant! Food is AMAZING, service IMPECCABLE, and all together just an awesome Argentinian vibe! Very recommended!!

Yelp
That was a worst meat experience in my meat-eater family. The worst Valentines dinner we ever had. We ordered cowboy steak, 28 oz t- bone steak both of them were absolutely raw. (We would like medium rare...) after we asked a server to cook more... we received the same meat... and it was cold inside... we asked the guys (who grilled this meat) if they use thermometer..(they said no...) Are you really???? The server was not friendly and the atmosphere was not a "holiday style"... Never come back, I paid a huge bill and received a very bad Argentinian meat experience...

Yelp
Very nice place(white table cloth) The start was the service everyone was friendly, professional, explained very well the menu and followed up the table service The table service come with humita(a classic Argentine corn and squash dish ) Mashed potato , mashed squash, roasted garlic and boiled sweet potato , bread and grisines ( bread stick ) Also with your main dishes they bring to the table like 8 or 10 more sauce We ordered Beef Empanadas (deep fry) good flavor and juicy Mollejas (grilled beef sweet bread) was kind of burnt from out side , the change the taste to unpleasant , one thing it's crispy and other it's burnt. Milanesa de entraña ( breaded sweet bread) I recommend this dish, was the start of the lunch and tender Cowboy steak, they bring I little under cook and they have to take it back to cook I bite more also was a bite tough Vacío (flank steak) no good, was over cook like well done we ask medium, very tough difficult to eat. No dessert Thank you very much for all the staff you are 5and more

Yelp
It was my first experience in this restaurant. I was not expecting such a nice ambience. The food was great and the portions are very ample. Definitely shareable. Everything we ordered was to point. Very good. Our server was great. Although a bit pricy, it's worth the experience.

Tracy T.

Yelp
Service was good. The food was a little on the bland side. Disappointed with the food versus the cost. I am giving 3 stars bc the service was nice.
google avatar

Nate H.

Yelp
This place did not disappoint. The proveleta cheese app was amazing. Our steaks were tender and juicy. I was tired of traditional steak houses and La Cabrera was a better option. Our crepe dessert was one of the best I've had. I will post videos because I'm lost for words.

Flory M.

Yelp
Excellent food experience and atmosphere So much food and surprises Loved the restaurant - great for special celebrations

Yelp
I got the Ribeye which the server recommended to us. Cooked fine, but not alot of taste. Pretty Standard. Service was good, apps were tasty, but nothing really stood out to me except the 5 tasty Modelo's I had. Was here on a Wednesday night, kinda empty. ehhhh

Kelly M.

Yelp
We've been frequent diners here, but our recent visit was a major letdown. We arrived just 5 minutes late for our 9:45 reservation, and the hostess rudely told us we'd lost it without even checking for an available table outside. It wasn't until the manager stepped in that we were finally seated. The complimentary tray was missing olives, and when we asked about it, the waitress claimed they were out. Oddly, another waitress brought them to us minutes later. We ordered half a portiong of short ribs, but were charged for a full portion, and when we questioned it, the waitress told us it was the "price for sharing"--even though we asked for half Lastly, we ordered short ribs with fries and rice, but the rice never came. When we asked, the waitress casually mentioned they were out. It would have been nice to know that when we ordered, so we could've chosen something else. For the price and fixed tip, we expected far better service and communication as it usually is. Very disappointed.

Lenix R.

Yelp
Awesome! I'm so impressed with the service and quality. The flavor and freshness, delicious and very recommended. Atmosphere is very romantic and warm. 10/10

Yelp
So gooooood! Amazing steaks. Amazing gnocchi. Amazing salad. Amazing dessert. Amazing drinks. Wasn't a huge fan of the provolone app with prosciutto. Lunch was very long but maybe that's a cultural thing. A must go back!

L D.

Yelp
Went to la Cabrera because it was walking distance from our hotel. Food was so so. We were so disappointed with the steaks. It was prepared medium like we ordered but had absolutely no seasoning. Meat empanada appetizer were good as well as the appetizers on the house. We would definitely not recommend if you like your meat to be seasoned prior to grilling.
google avatar

Yelp
This is an excellent Argentine steakhouse. Where do I start. The steaks are cooked over an open flame then they bring it and cut it to make sure you like the color- how much it was cooked. The drinks were made well and their signature cocktails are well balanced I actually saw the bartender measuring with a jigger. Finally the service was perfect. Very attentive. They were dressed very nice. While this location is on Collins, the setting inside was quiet and very naive.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was excellent, Service was exceptional. Ambiance was really good we went the day argentina played a game so it was really fun.

Yelp
Quiero ir. Pero no con la plata justa. Quiero ir a disfrutar porque el restaurante es caro Parra mis posibilidades.

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Just went and everything was so good! We got the cowboy steak and mac and cheese. So good but it's a fatty cut, which I enjoy the fatty pieces but it wouldn't be for someone who's go to cut is a filet. Mac and cheese was outstanding as well. We also got the shrimp with mushrooms appetizer which were so juicy and perfectly cooked they had the texture of lobster. The espresso perfectly closed out the night With the ice cream so yummy! We will be back for sure. Service was great and courteous as well, they gave us a few free samplers. Only thing I'd do different, is when you order your steak ask the chimmi churi sauce first!

David S.

Yelp
Alan the bartender was great! I love having a bartender that knows how to make proper cocktails as well as a full knowledge of the menu. Everything was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend
google avatar

John C.

Yelp
Quality of food is excellent. Service is exceptional, but the two racist ass girls (hostesses),who tried to seat my father and I, because we're Asian outside in 92 degree humid weather or the bar, when there was plenty of seats inside. Plus, they didn't think I understood Spanish ..big mistake on their part. I said I'm not sitting outside. Plus, asking for reservations when the restaurant was completely empty made the hostesses look like complete idiot

Yelp
When I tell you I had one of the besttttt meals i've had in a long timeeeee ! The food was incredible, the services was emaculate and we were surprised at the attention to details and service! Thank you for the delicious complementary side dishes and for truly spoiling us during our visit ! I recommend this restaurant to everyone who wants a delicious meat based meal with amazing service

Yelp
Came here for my birthday dinner with my daughter and husband. They were extremely attentive and informative throughout the night. We enjoyed the meal from beginning to end we started off with empanadas and blood sausage complemented by house bread, which was delicious. we enjoyed a Pisco, sour and sangria type drink, which were refreshing and beautifully presented. We chose to share the gnocchi and Milanesa de entraña. We ended the night with chocolate cake and and adorable, upside down ice cream cone. We will definitely be back and highly recommend us to our family and friends our waiters were sweet and helpful.

Olivia P.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great moodiness in the dining room. My advice, take all the little sample cups they give you. Did not realize you get charged an 18% service fee on top of your bill for that, so make sure you take advantage!

Yelp
We found this through Meetways.com; we were looking for a nice place for our family to meet halfway between Pompano Beach and Palmetto Bay, and it was recommended by many people on Yelp. We were happy to be able to make a reservation through OpenTable - so convenient! They honored the reservation well and seated us right away. Had a wonderful experience! Our server, Ximena (Jimena? sorry if I'm misspelling it) was amazing... she was knowledgeable, attentive, lovely and delightful. Really made our experience marvelous. Everything was delicious. A few of us had entraña, one of us had vacío - the meat was tender and flavorful; needed a little bit of salt, and they had some nice gourmet salts available. We had the Caesar salad and Mac&cheese - salad was a excellent, the Mac was okay... We also had the cheese and prosciutto appetizer; it was tasty. We appreciated the courtesy samplers offered. It was a bit loud and lively, so not a place for a quiet, romantic dinner, but a fun atmosphere for a special family occasion - it's expensive, but they provide quality food, good portions, and great service, so worth it for a special occasion. Would definitely return!
