Monday evening date night at this place was great they have a great happy hour menu. But we also tried the regular menu as well. The food was great but I was more impressed with the staff at this place. They will refill your water without you asking. They clear your plates and silverware after a course has been done and will bring you clean dishes and silverware when you are waiting for the next course. This kind of service I usually get at Michelin Star restaurants. So 10/10 for kind and welcoming staff. When one of our meals was late they left it off the check. I will definitely be coming back!

Wowwwe!! My husband surprised me with a night out and he made reservations here. And honestly my pictures don't do it this food justice. LOVED the Ceviche. I heard they change it every once in a while so now I'm curious to try every single one! The Carne Asada dish was cooked perfectly. The Chocolate flan was rich and delicious. Also, I had my dishes with a glass of Vionta wine. It was perfect! Our server Andreed (I hope I spelled his name correctly!!) was so attentive and informed us of the dishes and different types of tequillas. I felt so welcomed here and enjoyed my time thoroughly! Would definitely visit again!

La Calle is a hidden gem in Baltimore! The food is packed with flavor, the drinks are great, and the service is top-notch. Everything from the appetizers, entrees, and dessert was fresh and beautifully presented. Perfect spot for a casual night out or a special dinner. Can’t wait to return!

Great elevated & creative Mexican food. Love the happy hour, and the food is great. Service is super nice and takes care of you. The space has a nice, modern vibe.

Came here with some friends for dinner and I was truly blown away. We had queso fundito as an appetizer, then duck confit tacos, pork belly tacos, and a pork roast for mains. This was some of the best seasoned and roasted meat I’ve had in a while, incredibly tender and flavorful. Finally, we had tres leches cake, churros, and flan. While all three were delicious, you absolutely MUST get the tres leches cake. Truly incredible experience, look forward to coming back.

This place is delicious and fresh, authentic in service and menu. My group of three total, came to have brunch at 11. $20 all you can drink. One of us got OJ, two of us got the pink guava which was so delicious because it wasn’t too sweet but tasted fresh and had the right balance of champagne. We shared chorizo queso which came with FRESH AS HELL tortillas. Delicious Then we each ordered tacos and split them three ways as each order comes with three. The salsa (mild medium and hot) was also homemade and tasty even for the faintest of heart in spiced salsa. We ordered pork belly, (lightly) battered fish, and the beef. Overall we preferred the fish! But pork belly was tough second!

La Calle in Baltimore continues to impress me with its exceptional food quality and vibrant flavors. I’ve visited three times, and each experience has been delightful. The bartender is fantastic, enhancing the atmosphere. I highly recommend trying La Medicina and El Diablo for a memorable meal. Can’t wait to return!

Have had a few lovely nights here, whether to grab a drink and apps or stay for a full dinner. Some delicious food, and the atmosphere is always lively. The vegetable soup is absolutely amazing, empanadas are always good, queso is great. The tacos are delic but wish you could mix & match them.

Yelp
Good bar service. Pretty ambiance and decor. Was torn between fish or shrimp tacos. Got both which have identical fixings! Fish was better. Both were good. Elotes were piping hot and delicious with all the mouth puckering spices. Bartender was chill and gave us attentive service. Cocktails & mocktails were good. I recommend the guava margarita. Tres leches had a unique sour (passion fruit I think?) twist and was delicious. If you're not a fan of sour, I would skip on that one but I liked it! Will definitely go again when in the area to try other dishes!!

Yelp
Calle is a great spot for happy hour! If you're looking for solid drinks and bites at affordable prices, this is a place worth checking out. Most happy hour items are between $7 and $10, which is a win. We started with the nachitos --a flavorful snack that paired perfectly with their smoked chili oil and green chile salsa. Definitely a standout! The nachos had great flavor too, but like many places, the bottom layer was missing the beans and cheese, so I didn't end up finishing the whole plate. Still, for the price, not bad at all. My friend got the agua chiles and enjoyed it! Said it was very flavorful. I'm not a raw fish eater, but I did try it and it was actually pretty good. The sangria was a highlight--strong yet refreshing. We also enjoyed the grapefruit Paloma, which was well balanced and citrusy. The bartending staff were super friendly and didn't rush us, even though we arrived just 10 minutes before happy hour ended. The ambiance was cool, clean, and chill--not too loud or crowded. Plus, if you speak Spanish, it's a great spot to practice while you sip and snack. I'd definitely come back for another round!

Yelp
I have gone to LaCalle for dinner, brunch and happy hour and they have always been amazing. It is owned by two brothers and they are always there serving customers. The space is beautiful and the have a few seats outside during the spring and summer. The ceviche of the day is a must have. It is always a work of art and delicious. My current favorite dish is the pork belly tacos. Brunch is very affordable (no ceviche of the day though). My favorite thing is the pork belly hash (it might not be called that). Needless to say the pork belly here is a mazing. My mom didn't think she liked pork belly, but I brought her to La Calle and now I always have to get her these tacos. The drinks are also amazing. My mom couldn't decide on a drink and Byron the bartender made a peach drink that we are calling the Ms. Jeri. I clearly love La Calle.

Yelp
La Calle is located in Fells so parking can be tricky but that means the outdoor seating is great to people watch and enjoy some yummy Mexican food. We did opt to sit inside which is just as cute and well decorated. Overall, the food is excellent but our waiter did forget a few things (I'm realizing now I never got my guac so I have no idea if La Calle does a good guac or not). Also, the bathrooms are unisex (they were clean enough but just not my preference). Queso Fundido with Chorizo: I was expecting gooey cheese but it was MELTED cheese. Also it was served with warmed tortillas and not chips Chicken empanadas: yummy, crispy, fan favorite, came with a sauce with a little bit of heat to it Chicken enchiladas: solid choice, drenched in mole sauce which was yummy Tacos: short rib was flavorful but a little dry, same for the chorizo, pork belly was the best and my favorite Guava Marg: didn't taste much guava but still a yummy drink Churros: 10/10, no notes Sauces and salsas: I'm a sauce girl and these were delicious

Yelp
It's been a while since I've eaten out at a restaurant and from start to finish, I've enjoyed every item I tried. But La Calle knows how to bring their "A" game. Celebrating galentines with friends we decided to make a reservation at La Calle for dinner. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful which makes it the perfect date night with your significant other, your friends, or a night of solo dining. Simple, sleek, and modern with a Mexican inspired theme. There were so many items on the menu we wanted to try, so we settled on the guacamole and queso. The guac had the right amount of salt and lime that balanced the flavor perfectly and the queso was quite tasty too. A round of tacos for the table, and I opted for the fish tacos which were delicious. My new runner up to the Clavel fish taco. A crispy, flaky, and well-seasoned taco adorned with a cabbage slaw, pickled onions, avocado salsa and roasted chipotle mayo. We tried the brussel sprouts and black beans as a side and even thought those were delicious. Our waiter was the sweetest, (we thought he looked like Clark Kent) and was very attentive. He thought we were celebrating a birthday; however, we told him it was galentines, and he sent over a slice of chocolate cake for us to share. Which might I say was divine. From the ambiance, the service and the food, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to La Calle and I'm planning another trip to try their happy hour and brunch in the near future.

Yelp
It was Valentine's Day; we wanted to eat local, nothing over the top so we chose La Calle. The restaurant was modern, flanked by a vibey bar and somewhat open kitchen. It was a slight mishap when we arrived because the hostess could not find our reservation. Nonetheless, the service in general was good. We ordered the empanadas and ceviche coupled with a margarita and sangria for starters. Our main dishes were the lamb shank and enchiladas. Our dessert choices were churros and ice cream and tres leches. The presentation of every dish was superior, but the flavors of the food did not match. We are not persuaded to return to La Calle, however you should try them if you're in the Fells Point neighborhood; you may have a better food experience.

Yelp
* Disclaimer: large group dining during restaurant week so might not be reflective of regular service* Ambiance: cute interior, quite loud when restaurant is busy, feels like you're in DC. Food: we ordered off the regular menu instead of restaurant week menu. Tried the queso fundido with both mushrooms and chorizo (both great), passion fruit ceviche (tasty and fresh), and a variety of tacos. Fish tacos were the group favorite, pork belly was just okay, very fatty, and the steak tacos were so dry we actually left a full of plate of them untouched. The house sauces were flavorful but not very spicy, and they didn't have anything spicier when we asked. Everyone's drinks were tasty. Service: our server was attentive, friendly, and patient with our large group.

Yelp
Was in the Fells Point area and visited La Calle. La Calle specializes in authentic mole dishes from Puebla, Mexico. La Calle came highly recommended for its authentic dishes and vast selection of tequilas. We visited on. Wednesday evening and was able to get seating with no issues. Our sever was great at explaining dishes on the menu and provided some dishes to try. La Calle also provided great music to complement our dinning experience. Meals were perfect in seasoning, spice and flavor. Portions are generous and can easily serve for 2. La Calle was very clean and tables were serviced quickly. I will compliment La Calle's location as there are many bars to visit after a great meal. Highly recommend La Calle came. Will definitely be visiting soon.

Yelp
La Calle is a beautiful venue located in busy Fells. Fells has come a long way, and La Calle's addition is a regalo. On a very busy weekend on South Broadway, La Calle's storefront is classic and unassuming. Met with simplistic aesthetics, the host is swift in the process and sat once reservations are confirmed. Rows of tables are precise and aligned in perfect distance while not rubbing too close elbows with other guests. Large parties are easily accommodated, and the bar is beautifully visible from the main dining space, the kitchen is open and alluring aroma saturates on a vibeful packed evening. La Calle's drink offerings deliver an impressive selection of all things tequila including mezcal and anejo. Draft is also available, wine is also on the shelf for those who prefer classic pairing. During my visit, I decided on a Mexican mojito and a Venenosa Raicilla, and empanadas del dia (carne) to start. The drinks were strong and the Raicilla was outstanding as I remember... y las empanadas de carne estaban deliciosas! Morgan, our server was such a delight! Attentive and quick, she balanced her service on a busy night, taking time to interact with the guests. I appreciate she took time and knowledge to suggest La Calle's signature Pollo con Mole. Authentic in every way, the dish was perfect. The depth in flavor is robust and serving size was healthy. Is there a way to order the mole to go?! Oh my, I wanna!! New York strip steak with charred vegetables was delicious, the demi glaze gave way to exotic flavors bite after bite, penultimate swipe of the last vegetable and sauce. The side of yuca cooked perfectly crisp was a tease, and great compliment to dishes served. All incredibly delicious. The bar was a great final stop to my visit at La Calle. After dinner cocktails and final sips of Raicilla reminiscent of days on the riviera under the wide open skies under the stars, on a brisk evening swinging on a maca. Hospitality by all servers and the bartenders were all exceptional. I especially loved the murial of Frida. Those who know me, Kris loves her Frida Kahlo... es cierto, la vida es muy buena. La Calle is accessible to all. Restrooms are unisex and spacious. Parking is very limited in the area as most know. Muchas gracias por todo, La Calle. Volvere, pronto si!

Yelp
Pretty good! This was my first time at La Calle. It's on Broadway in Fells Point so no real street parking nearby, you'd need a garage or to rideshare. The ambience is ok - it's just a big room, a few booths but mostly tables. It's a bit stale/kind of cafeteria like, I'd suggest sprucing it up somehow. We had reservations on a Saturday night and they were packed all night so definitely get reservations! The drinks were all great! My group got different cocktails - margarita variations and other things, all were delish and beautiful. We got some guacamole and queso fundido. Definitely get the queso fundido it was great and came bubbling hot in a cast iron skillet with soft tortillas! Second best only to Clavel, but so so tasty. For entrees we got different kinds of tacos, one friend got the branzino, and also a Ceviche. Everything was great but the ceviche. I got tacos with short rib and mole sauce, they were amazing! The ceviche was gross, it had thick tomato sauce like pasta sauce... it was bizarre. Otherwise everything was great except when we're wrapping up the meal, we ordered churros and for some reason the waiter never came back. It took him like 15 mins to come back and with no churros. He asked if we wanted the check, then came back with that AND the churros. It was a weird end to an otherwise fine experience. Overall, despite a few kinks, I would go back! It's not quite Clavel but definitely on the same spectrum and best of all, they take reservations. They can take larger groups too! I'd say check it out!

Yelp
If you even think about going here, YOU NEED TO GO! t This food was so good. actually let's start with the drinks. They had a special mandarin Mezcal margarita that you could get regular tequila or Mezcal. Then for our appetizers we got the empanadas and they do different meats within the empanadas and we got shrimp and it was so good. Thee sauce on the side so good. Every time they bought something to our table it was exceptional. We all got different entrées, steak, shrimp, tacos, and chicken. The chicken mole was so juicy so good so everything. The special of the day, which was I think a flat iron steak with a red mole so good tender, juicy devoured and then last was the shrimp tacos, which was fresh, fried to perfection, light, everything that you would want in a taco it was there and if you put a little bit of empanada sauce on there even better. la Calle will see me again very soon. Also, our waiter was amazing. He gave great service. He was from Mexico City and honestly gave good recommendations for food and the outdoor seating was really nice. It was covered by a tent in case it did start raining, but the weather was perfect. again 10 out of 10 recommend

Yelp
I'm so happy La Calle has found a new home in Broadway Market / Upperfells. I first went to this restaurant when they were downtown in 2019 and I was so excited because one it was the last name of my friend at the time and they have queso fundido. I loved La Calle and was missing it during the pandemic. This new restaurant has a really beautiful portrait of Frida Kahlo and a really Vibey bar and it's a really really big restaurant so so much bigger than the original one. The staff is really friendly. If not a little pushy -- we were there for brunch most recently and I was with a friend that I hadn't seen in a while and the waiter came over like 10 times and I felt really bad. I was like oh we're just catching up, but the restaurant wasn't very busy so I wasn't sure what the rush was. The brunch was lovely - we got coffees and shared a chorizo queso fundido. I got the Chilaquiles with a side of steak and it was really solid. I feel like a lot of places don't have Chilaquiles so I was very excited to see it on the menu. I wish I had more photos of the food! I need to go back - I love so close. I've also been here for dinner a couple times and I really like their salads and their dishes. The only thing that I have a complaint about is that they bring you a complimentary salsa platter of three different salsas - green, red and a peanut one, but if you want more, they charge you, but they don't tell you that they're gonna charge you so it just a matter of principle. I also really like their Diablo margarita and their mezcal drinks too. Solid option for an upscale Mexican restaurant. As a nostalgic person, I do miss when they were so new - because they used to give away queso fundido for happy hour.

Yelp
Pro Tip: make reservations if you're going on a Friday night/weekend. I need one more visit to really solidify my rating but so far, I am very intrigued. Ambiance: The inside makes you feel like you're in a sexy cave. Bathrooms were clean and attended to and one had a baby changing station. I am not sure where I stand with it being kid-friendly or not. For one: during dinner rush (6:30-8:30) it is VERY loud- not necessafrom loud music, just from the amount of people in the small space. Food: Everything I ate made me want more, especially the drinks. I tried the passion fruit margarita and it made me miss the frescos (natural juices) at home. We tried the nachos (no protein) and the home made chips were delish. Everything tasted like it came from the garden right out back. For dinner, I had the fish tacos and every flavor tasted deliberate and I can't wait to go back and have them again. Service: nothing stellar, but not bad. The food took a long time, which bothered me because most restaurants I go to will try to get my kids food out without me even asking. This is one point that I think can be improved upon and why I hesitate on giving it a kid-friendly stamp. Overall, def wanna check it out on a date night where hopefully the wait won't be as long. I really enjoyed the beautiful thoughtful dishes, however I think there is room for improvement. Signed, a Mom who takes her kids to restaurants

Yelp
If you're searching for the best Mexican food in Maryland--look no further. The atmosphere? Inviting. The service? Flawless. But the real star? The food. Oh. My. Goodness. The ceviche is next-level--fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor. Honestly, this is the BEST Mexican cuisine I've had in Maryland, hands down. I wish I had snapped a photo of the dishes, but they were so good we devoured them before I even thought about it (a sign of a truly unforgettable meal). Pro tip: Order the Ceviche del Día, Ceviche de Camarón, and the Tacos de Pollo. Every bite is a flavor-packed journey straight to Mexico--without ever leaving Baltimore. Your palate will thank you. Trust me.

Yelp
I just love this place. I first found it during Restaurant Week years ago at their old location where I had the most mouthwatering osso buco and I've been returning ever since! Their new space is well lit, colorful and the managers are often seen on the floor ensuring quality food and service at all tables. The bar is spacious and offers dining services as well so I highly recommend for HH or a nice dinner! This is a family friendly restaurant in the lovely fells point.

Yelp
Cute Mexican place on Broadway! They have a great happy hour with delicious margs! I wish they had more vegetarian options, though I thought the Brussels sprout tacos were ok and their guac and queso were great! I The inside of the restaurant is very nice! It gets quite busy on weekends. Service was excellent! Would recommend, but probably wouldn't go back unless it was happy hour or was going for appetizers.

Yelp
The dinner was delicious and our server had some great recommendations which included the pork belly tacos. They're very flavourful and fatty, which if you're like me you'll find them delicious especially with the green and red sauces. The red sauce had a lot more heat than the green but both did a great job pairing with the pork. The restaurant itself was pretty crowded and had a lively atmosphere. It was great to go with a couple of girlfriends and get drinks, but I also think it would be a great date night spot on a slower night during the week. For drinks I'd definitely recommend the strawberry margarita, it was very refreshing!

Yelp
La Calle did everything right for our dinner. We had reservations for a special day, and they did read our reservation notes to prepare our table accordingly, which was impressive. We were greeted very nicely by the host and all the wait staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We tried multiple appetizers (ceviche/empanadas) and entrees (chicken and steak), as well as desserts. Everything was full of flavor, and they kept their menu items interesting. Highly recommend this establishment; they all take their job seriously and ensure the guests are having a great time!

Yelp
I was part of a part of six, we died on a Thursday evening. Our weight staff was pleasant. Everyone enjoyed their cocktail and cocktail. The chips and guacamole were great and came with some different sauces. The brussels sprouts weren't very good, they were seasoned. The chicken quesadilla left a lot to be desired. It had almost no seasoning at all. Took it home I was part of a part of six, we died on a Thursday evening. Our weight staff was pleasant. Everyone enjoyed their cocktail and cocktail. The chips and guacamole were great and came with some different sauces. The brussels sprouts weren't very good, they were under seasoned. The chicken quesadilla left a lot to be desired. It had almost no seasoning at all, very disappointed. The desserts were all great.

Yelp
Love this place so much! Tried for the first time about a month ago and just went back and say at the bar for a quick bite and some drinks. The food is so delicious and thought out and my favorite are the little salsas they serve with everything! I am already planning my next trip to go back and try the mole, got a chance to talk to someone working the bar and she was telling me how the chef is from Mexico and all the salsas and food are very homemade and from its original roots. Really recommend this place for vibes drinks and good Mexican food!

Yelp
I was visiting Baltimore and a friend took me to La Calle for dinner and drinks. We sat at the bar to have conversation with the bartender and another patron. It was a friendly atmosphere and we had a good time. Food and drinks were fantastic! I really enjoyed my mezcal margarita and everything I ordered. The ceviche de la dia had a kick but was so incredibly flavorful and presented beautifully! Despite the lingering heat, I ate every bite of it. The shrimp tacos were also delicious! My friend ordered the quesadilla which she enjoyed as well. Really great spot to enjoy dinner or drinks with friends or on a date. The atmosphere feels casual but looks classy. Food is presented beautifully and delicious. The dining room is a good size and there's plenty of bar seating as well. I would love to come back here the next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
We came here for the first time and had an excellent meal. The food was definitely a 5, the only issue was that it was SO loud that we couldn't hear each other talk and that definitely took away from the experience. But for delicious food I would definitely come back. We had the guacamole, ceviche and elote appetizers. All were fabulous. Then tried the fish, shrimp, duck and steak tacos, all very good. The chicken mole was delicious and so were the mole enchiladas. And the arugula salad was great. The margaritas were very good as well.

Yelp
Came here for a quick bite with a friend and had a lovely time. The hostess was very sweet, and our waiter was both attentive and knowledgeable, especially about the day's specials. The bar area looked stunning, and I generally loved the decor and layout of the space. I had visited their previous location once a few years ago and can confidently say this new space works a lot better for their ambience. While I didn't try any of their drinks this time, I will definitely come back as their cocktail menu looked amazing. I ordered the queso fundido and was pleasantly surprised that this appetizer was actually a shareable size. I have not tried their entrees so I can't speak to their dinners, but definitely an excellent happy hour spot!

Yelp
We have eaten at La Calle a few times now, and I can say the food is consistently some of the best we have had in Baltimore. Stars include the daily empanadas and passion fruit ceviche The service was also top notch! One of the staff spent 10-15 minutes discussing their mezcal availability with my husband and he was so passionate it made me want to try some (and I do not like mezcal). Each time we've been they havent been super busy, which is wild to me because it's definitely a gem!

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience at La Calle on Valentines Day. It was our first time in, and we made a reservation for 2. It isn't a huge place, but there's a good amount of tables and a full bar that you can eat at too. Restaurant had great vibes and a beautiful interior. Our server was so kind and attentive and could answer all of our questions. My husband has a peanut allergy and they were super accommodating about it (1 of the salsas has a peanut garnish fyi). They bring everyone chips and a small salsa trio (for free) upon seating. We also order the guacamole to start with. It was yummy and fresh but could have been a little bigger. We also started with the white fish ceviche and OMG it was so flavorful. It is a must order - tangy, fruity, with a little bit of spice. Some of the best I've had! For mains we got the pork belly tacos and the beef tacos, which were both awesome and we loved that it comes with 3 tacos instead of 2 like some places nowadays. For drinks, I got a mezcal margarita and my husband got a mezcal old fashioned. They were both perfect - no notes lol If you like mezcal like we do, there's a huge selection here which is awesome! Fells needed a delicious, nice restaurant and La Calle did not disappoint!

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance were all fantastic! I sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and kind. I had him make me his favorite margarita! I might have had more than one. It was a great margarita! The guac and hot sauces and tacos were all fantastic!

Yelp
La Calle is such a hidden gem in Fells Point! They recently opened up this location but was previously located in downtown Baltimore. We came here for happy hour which is M-F 4-6 pm. It includes $7 margaritas, Paloma's, sangria and wine. They also have $7 apps like tacos and empanadas. We did not get any food but the margaritas were amazing! Definitely some of the best I've had in Baltimore. This place looks and feels brand new. The vibe is very chic and cozy. It is the perfect place for date night. The service was also 10/10; our bartender was very attentive and was able to share great information about the restaurant. I will be going back for dinner!

Yelp
Soooooo delicious! We were looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant around our hotel in the inner harbor area. We got in late, and they still accommodated us at 8:30 (when they were closing at 9). I ordered the Cochinita Mixiote and a La Rosa (ok... two). They have a lot of really amazing alcoholic drinks. I really like Mezcal, so I appreciated that there were multiple Mezcal drinks because, if you can make them right, there is nothing better in my opinion. The Cochinita Mixiota was simply amazing! It was sooooo shreddable and went sooooo well with the black beans and jalapeno onions and jicama and went so well all mixed together. My friend ordered a beer and chorizo tacos and loved his dish as well. This was the ONE PLACE in Baltimore that we both agreed to go back to when we visit again next year. Our server was amazing and explained the drinks and dishes to us as well. The place is very open, the kitchen is open, yet still... it seems intimate. Just loved it so much!

Yelp
My new favorite upscale Mexican restaurant in Baltimore!! This place was so cute, great service, and had affordable prices for great quality food! The queso fundido was perfection, 4 of us shared and it was a great size. I had the Castilla tacos which are braised short ribs and loved them. Finally, they had a great margarita and drink selection. I definitely will be back again!

Yelp
We had a fantastic dinner at La Calle during our stay in Fells Point. La Calle is a refined Mexican restaurant and the menu reflects choices like whole fresh fish. My wife & I have reservations and are shown to our table . I start with classic Margarita and we ordered Empanadas del Dia to start. The tequila they used in the margarita was very smooth, I did a double take after my first sip. The empanadas also, very fresh and homemade. The Empanadas were filled with Chihuahua and Monterey cheeses and topped with cilantro, crema, Queso fresco and served with a chipotle sauce, so so good. The trio of sauces was brought to the table, I'm assuming it was for the Branzino? The sauces had a heat profile from mild to wild. Deelish! I ordered for my main entree the whole Branzino. The Branzino was cooked perfectly, this is my favorite fish to order at a restaurant. If they properly de-bone the fish, its a very flavorful fish. Now I see at the bar a few bottles of Clase Azul. Clase Azul is a sipping tequila that you can drink like a scotch. I ask the waiter for a Reposado. The Clase Azul Reposado is aged for eight months in oak barrels. Clase Azul tequila is distilled twice and has a smooth, mellow taste. This was a perfect after dinner drink. La Calle, I thank you for the excellent dining experience.

Lovely restaurant with ambiance and delicious food! The visit did have a bit of a rough start, however. We were looking for a restaurant with open reservations during last weekend and were able to secure one here. Initially there was resistance from the host over our seating request of a two-top in a less crowded section. After my partner spoke up, he obliged. Next, the same host was standing near the kitchen opening in the rear, with full view of the restaurant, yet no one stopped by our table for 15 minutes. As the host eventually walked past our table, we made eye contact, which was when he asked had we been helped. He then took our food order. He had a stern word with the server, however service is a team effort, and the host should have noticed within 5 minutes that we had not been helped. After all, he was just standing there doing nothing. The server seemed to be overwhelmed and did not interact with us much. I asked for dessert and he asked did I want it to-go, which to me said he was ready to go home, so we needed to pack it up. That said, the elotes, salmon and churros were delicious! I would eat here again.

Yelp
La Calle is our favorite Mexican restaurant in the entire Baltimore, Washington, Annapolis region. The owners, who are from Mexico City, offer truly delicious, authentic Mexican food. The service is great, and the restaurant is always clean. Also, if you like spicy drinks, I highly recommend "El Diablo", a spicy margarita. It's great anytime of year, but it is especially a summertime treat. It is muddled with cucumbers, which makes it wonderfully refreshing. We go on Sundays when it is quieter. It can get noisy on busier nights; however, the owners are planning to take steps to improve the acoustics this summer.

Yelp
Delicious food, great drinks - perfect happy hour spot. The restaurant is really cute and modern. There is seasonal outdoor seating as well. Service was a bit slow.

Yelp
Great food with friendly service! Especially, I like their pescado frito tacos, empanada, and tres leches so much. The salsas (salsa verde and salsa roja) were felt to be hot to me while salsa macha was relatively mild.

Yelp
The food at this place is decent but I have never felt more rushed at a restaurant than this place. Here's a menu what do you want !! Huh Then a server accidentally dropped the salsa tray next to me . I felt so bad for him and told the guy not to worry . My shoes were ruined but the poor guy obviously didn't mean it . The boss thought ridiculous! Forget about comping a drink or something, when I asked for extra salsa they said that I'll have to order it and pay for it since they don't refill them . My favorite sandals are ruined and they couldn't even give me a small serving of extra salsa ugh ! So maybe just do takeout :)

Yelp
No one in my party enjoyed the meal. What was advertised as a good Mexican food spot by others, I did not enjoy. First, the server didn't seem to know about some of the dishes I wanted to try. My friend who got the tamale couldn't eat it because it wasn't... edible? It was very solid and rubbery. My friend who got the taco kept wondering where the rest of the veggies on the menu went. And, it was quite fatty. And my meal was... okay. But the whole meal was just not fun because of the lacking food quality.

Yelp
The restaurant space is nice, modern and open. When you enter, there's a full bar to your right and an open kitchen in the back. It's vibrant and busy, a great space to get a meal with a group of friends. We had a party of five, did not have a reservation and had to wait around 15-20 minutes for a table. Our waiter was very friendly and there were no complaints on the service. Only minor issue was it took a while for Topo Chico to come out, when everyone else got their drinks which included a beer and a couple of mocktails. We ordered some fish, pork belly and short rib tacos as an appetizer and shared the tomahawk steak. Everything was very good and tasty. One of the short rib tacos tasted a bit dry, but overall we had a good experience. When we left the restaurant, everyone including the hostess and manager saw us out and thanked us. I will definitely come back with more friends and family. ***Update*** Came back for more: suadero tacos, chicken quesadillas w/ extra pico de gallo, Mexican coke, white sangria and the tres leches. Another great meal! Got Luis as our waiter again and he made our experience just as memorable.

Yelp
It's been 5 yrs since I wrote my original review. La Calle has since moved since their original location, they are now in Fells Point on Broadway. I absolutely love the new space, it's much more open and spacious since their last location. The food and service is always excellent. Consistent high quality and freshness. And not to mention you get high quality portions at reasonable prices. We started with the pelliscadaz de Maiz( thick corn tortilla, black beans, crema, queso fresco, radish salad) it comes with a choice of chorizo, chicken or mushrooms. We chose the chorizo, absolutely delicious, the tortilla was nice and crispy. Definitely will get again. For dinner we did the New York strip steak and the barbacoa de Cordero( braised lamb shank). Both dishes were cooked to perfection. The lamb shank was so tender, meat fell right off the bone. We were so stuffed I did not have room for dessert. They have a tequila infused ice cream that I'm dying to try. Definitely will be returning with a few friends. They also have a brunch and happy hour service. If you are looking for a nice Mexican meal with delicious food and good cocktails, La Calle is your place. I highly recommend. So glad I came back and was able to update my review

Yelp
Been meaning to check this place out for a few weeks because I kept hearing great things. The service was wonderful from the start. Our waiter Luis was very helpful and sweet. He helped me figure out what dishes could be made vegetarian. The drinks were very yummy and strong. The flavors we got really came through. We shared the queso fundido with mushrooms and it was pretty good with the warm tortillas. I tried the pellizcadas as my meal and it was very filling and tasty. We also got the chicken enchiladas with mole and the sauce was soooo tasty! Even though we were so full, we had to try the tres leches and mannnnn it was delish!!! I love the Frida Kahlo mural so much as well!

Yelp
Loved my experience at La Calle! I had been here before they moved locations but this most recent visit was awesome! The new space is really nice- much bigger and modernized with a large dining room. The service was great and everyone was really friendly and service was fast. My husband and I ordered the elote and shrimp ceviche to start and I lovedddddd both dishes so much. They were incredible. The ceviche was particularly delicious. I also ordered a house margarita that I really enjoyed- not too sweet and they did not use any margarita mix! Very important! I got the chorizo tacos for dinner which were good and my husband got the salmon entree. Overall, great experience and I will be back.

Yelp
Y U M M Y I ate every d*** thing on my plate. If I was home, I would have licked it clean. SO SO SO good. I'm surprised that I have never been here before! I always try my best to tryout all the newbs but I must have missed this one--I did walk past it twice via the Waze directions, so there's that. BUT I'm glad I did venture in and give it a shot. Order the enchiladas. They are amazing, I promise. I 100% will be back with the fam.

Yelp
10/10! My boyfriend and I went here for valentine's day and had a wonderful experience. I'm picky with margaritas and the strawberry margarita was delicious. The guac appetizer wasn't my absolute favorite (in comparison to table side guacs that I've had) but it was still tasty. The tacos were the best I've had in awhile! Great service!

Yelp
The service and the ambiance was amazing not to mention the house sangria with their secret ingredients. The guys at the bar was the best!

Yelp
A complete let down. I picked this spot for a friends birthday, based on the reviews and pictures it looked like a great spot. I made a reservation ahead of time since we had a party of 7. Keep in mind we are here on a Thursday night, it is not that busy and we are just trying have a birthday dinner. As soon as I walked in I knew we were screwed. The staff just stared at us the entire time, like the ENTIRE TIME. From the moment we sat down we were rushed like you would not believe. It became super awkward as every time our server came we had to shut down wanting to order entrees as our appetizers hadn't even hit the table yet. The food was fine, nothing out of this world. Presentation was nice but I never really got to enjoy it. The space itself feels empty yet trendy at the same time. Making you feel slightly out of place. I really wanted to like this place and just relax with some good food and margaritas. But it just wasn't going to happen to us. Not sure why we caught the vibe that we did but we all agreed that we wouldn't make an effort to dine here again.

Yelp
We visited La Calle on Dia de Los Muertos in which they were offering a tasting menu for $75 per person. You received a welcome cocktail, 5 courses, and dessert. I can't remember everything that we tried but I must say everything was delicious! Service was super fast with dishes coming out immediately after you finished the prior. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure that we were good on drinks. They had tequila tasting where they brought about 3 samples of different tequilas to your table. Very fun! I love the interior of the restaurant too. It's very minimal with a beautiful mural of Frida Khalo on the back wall. There is an open kitchen which is always a nice touch. I highly recommend visiting their new location if you haven't been. I'm planning to return to try some of their regular menu items.

Yelp
This restaurant is quite the gem for authentic cuisine. The drinks came out promptly and tickled the tastebuds. Came in as a group during the Baltimore Summer Restaurant Week event and boy it was worth it. Price was worth every penny. While we were one of just a few in the restaurant the staff were quick with requests and made us feel welcomed.

Yelp
Love the new location (I took an Uber to avoid parking roulette in Fells lol) It's spacious and trendy. Bar service was great and the margs never disappoint. 10/10 the elote app was so good and I wish everyone cut it into bite size pieces as pictured

Yelp
Good drinks and food. I got the gauc for an appetizer and the chicken quesadilla for an entree and both were great options. The service could've been better, although I didn't have a reservation they sat me and a friend at a table and immediately our server came up and rudely let us know that we only had an hour to sit and eat at that table because they needed to merge our table with others for a large party reservation. I politely let him know that I prefer not to rush through my meal and if they can move us instead of giving us only an hour. Luckily the host was a lot kinder and he moved us to a different empty table. Our server after that didn't bother checking in or taking our orders (even though we were still in his section) and instead let the host take care of us. So food is 8/10, service is more like 5/10, I guess depending on who you get.
